Acid Rain Acid rain is any precipitation that is unusually acidic. It possesses elevated levels of hydrogen ions(it has low pH level). Acid rain is caused by emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which react with water molecules. Distilled water(doesn't contain CO 2), has pH level 7. Peace and keeping What is peace? It is a state of harmony and the absence of hostility and wars. It sounds simple and easy, but for some reason, throughout the history, it has been very difficult to actually keep peace. Why then is it so important? Firstly, when there is peace, people are happy. Friendly relations with neighbours and different countries give people an oppurtunity to live normal lives. However, for example, when there are some tensions between two countries, the people of those countries would live in constant fear and threat. Secondly, violence is not acceptable in any form or situation. I think that when there are disagreements between some countries, they should try to solve them verbally. Tolerance and diversity First of all I had to pose myself a question what does tolerance mean to me? I came to the conclusion that for me it means accepting people the way they are- not caring about their appearance, orign, religion, attitude or skin coulor, even if their beliefs and thoughts are not just the same as mine. Dear listeners, From young age, people are taught that friendship is very important and you have to look after your mates. But people understand it differently. Some make good friends with everyone, but others find one true friend to be nice with. Is this one friend then better than thousands? My best friends were left in kindergarten. The four of us were invincible. We did everything together and we were enough for each other we didn't let other children to our games. In games as well as in learning, I had 3 great supporters and everything was easy and fun with them. Everyone grows up, so did I and my buddies. Floods and Tsunamis Flood is a natural event or occurrence where a piece of land that is usually dry land, suddenly gets submerged under water. Some floods can occur suddenly and recede quickly.
