Beauty Products In my daily life I don't use much beauty products. I use shampoo when I am in the shower and sometimes I use skin lotion also. My Mum is a cosmetic in a way so she has a storage full of beauty products. There are many kinds of colones there but I only use them once in a year because I really don't use them. My Mum knows a lot about beauty products because she sells them and buys them. I also use aloe vera gel or some spray that is good for the skin. We don't have any sprays or beauty products that endangere or harm nature so it is safe to use. I don't really belive in the beauty products because it is always better to look like you are.

Beauty pageants for small girls should be banned Today's beauty pageants are detrimental to a child's development. These kinds of competitions can lead to low selfconfidence and poor body image. While most beauty pageants cater strictly to girls, there are a growing number that include boys as well. I firmly believe that taking part of beauty pageants is pressured by contestants' parents. It is their vision of how their children should look and act like. Some children do not want to partake in those competitions because it is tiring and chaotic, some children even do not understand what it is all about, because they are too young for that. In my opinion, a child who looks absolutely gorgeous without fake teeth, spraytan and an enormous wig is forced to wear all of it just to measure up to her parent wishes.

People's eyes are attracted to beauty and it's quite natural. We look at flowers, landscapes, pieces of art, and so on. We understand why it is beautiful. It can't just be defined as something that may look good. It can be a feeling, a piece of art, music, or words. It talks about the evil, that lies inside humans, and when it comes out, there is nothing we can do. Dorian Gray had the same problem. At the beginning of the book he was a very wealthy, intelligent man with a very high status. His beauty charmed others. Basil Hallward was inspired to draw his portrait in order to preserve his beauty and youth. With Lord Henry practically "brain-washing" Dorian, he recognised that as long as he remained as young as he was in the painting, he would be handsome. He feared the day he would age and start to form wrinkles. For that not to happen, he traded his soul for his youth. From the moment he becomes forever young, he begins to deteriorate. Even when he reaches his epiphany and sees his evil through the portrait, he simply denies seeing it and continues his malicious deeds.

But the truth isn't so fabulous and spotless as the reality our little heroine had to face. Yes, there is proof that she lived, but beauty? I'm afraid it's just for illustration, because as a matter of fact her father was an ordinary farmer, and logically she had as much beauty as a goat was a cow. It means she was considered quite ugly. One day, after the tiring work in the garden, she felt very dizzy all of sudden and soon fainted under the heating sunlight. When she woke up, she was lying on the floor of a beautiful castle. There were flowers everywhere, but no doors as she noticed soon. "Where oh Earth am I?" the girl wondered now. She wasn't scared, just tired of the work she had to do on her father's farm.

Introduction The Picture of Dorian Gray came out in 1891, in Estonian 1929. It is the only published novel written by Oscar Wilde and also considered as a classic gothic horror fiction with a little bit of philosophy in it. I decided to read this book in Estonian, because I have two books in this language available at home. The book I read was published by Eesti Päevaleht in 2007 and it consists of 184 pages. The story is centred on Dorian Gray, a young man of great beauty and on his portrait, painted by Basil Hallward. From my point of view, I think that Wilde wanted to teach us a lesson about being too conceited and having such a high opinion of oneself. It is well known that nobody gets away without punishment.
