intensity, the tension is huge. Many of the scenes and camera angles are repeated since Micah places the camera in the same place each evening while the couple sleeps. Many of the shots are hard to see in the dark and often reaction shots are lost because the filmmakers were limited by one camera. However, this also lends to the realism. The film's intention is to scare you, and it succeeds largely because it looks and feels like stuff you find on YouTube, making the terror uncomfortably real. Is it the scariest movie ever made? You'll have to make that judgement for yourself ... but I will say this: it's 1am, and I don't want to finish this review because then I'll have to turn off my light.

where also were many shops. But it was miles away, so we had to rent a car. We could rent a car from our hotel's reception. Unfortunately we were told that all cars were hired out. Then my parents suggested to spend the day swimming in a hotel pool, but I didn't feel spending my day like this. We found a place to hire cars near the hotel. The only available car was Citroën C1. This was really small, but our only choice. We fitted ourselves very uncomfortably in this little car and drove to that city. It was so refreshing to get out. I ran to the shops and bought as many pretty things as I could. After some time, I saw that I had lost my companitons. I even didn't have my cell phone with me and I just sat down to wait for them. A salesman came up to me and asked me to come and watch what was he selling. I was tired from shopping but finally I agreed and I am lucky I did. When I stepped in the shop I saw my parents

5 illegal immigrants in the US *Undocumented aliens = heavily concentrated in the border states from Texas to California *Impact of illegal immigration = Critics: drive down wages and place financial burdens on schools and other public institutions Proponents: undocumented aliens create additional jobs and without them some businesses (e.g. garment industry) would move to third-world countries *Life on the line between El Paso (US) and Juarez (Mexico) El Paso and Ciudad Juárez lie together uncomfortably like an estranged couple, surrounded on all sides by mountains and desert. The cities are separated by the thin trickle of the Rio Grande, which flows through concrete channels, built to put an end to the river's natural habit of changing course and muddying boundaries. One side is Texas(US); the other, Mexico. The recent war among various gangs and drug cartels has made Juárez one of the world's most dangerous cities, while across the way, El Paso remains calm, even eerily prosperous

Be- cause the peculiar cheep-cheep of turkey chicks is normally associated with new- born turkeys, their mothers will display or withhold maternal care solely on the basis of that sound. Remember how, consequently, it was possible to fool a mother turkey with a stuffed polecat as long as the replica played the recorded cheep-cheep of a baby turkey. The simulated chick sound was enough to start the mother turkey's maternal tape whirring. The lesson of the turkey and the polecat illustrates uncomfortably well the re- lationship between the average viewer and the laugh-track-playing television exec- utive. We have become so accustomed to taking the humorous reactions of others as evidence of what deserves laughter that we too can be made to respond to the sound, and not the substance, of the real thing. Much as a cheep-cheep noise re- moved from the reality of a chick can stimulate a female turkey to mother, so can a recorded ha-ha removed from the reality of a genuine audience stimulate us to

You have to trust me on this." Why was Gideon so suspicious of his half-brother's motives? He had to have a good reason. It was yet another thing he didn't fully share with me. "I do trust you. Of course I do. I'll keep my distance." "Thank you." Catching me by the waist, he lifted me off the counter and set me on my feet. "Let's grab Cary and get the hell out of here." We made our way back outside with my hand in his. I was uncomfortably aware that we'd been gone a very long time. The sun was going down. And I was panty-less. My ruined boy shorts were presently stuffed into the front pocket of Gideon's jeans. He glanced at me as we entered the marquee. "I should've told you before. You look gorgeous, Eva. That dress is amazing on you and so are those fuck-me red heels." "Well, clearly they work." I bumped my shoulder into him. "Thank you." "For the compliment? Or the fucking?"

And, for the first time in my life, I felt the dizzy faintness of motion sickness. Then it was over. We'd hiked hours this morning to reach Edward's meadow, and now, in a matter of minutes, we were back to the truck. "Exhilarating, isn't it?" His voice was high, excited. He stood motionless, waiting for me to climb down. I tried, but my muscles wouldn't respond. My arms and legs stayed locked around him while my head spun uncomfortably. "Bella?" he asked, anxious now. "I think I need to lie down," I gasped. "Oh, sorry." He waited for me, but I still couldn't move. "I think I need help," I admitted. He laughed quietly, and gently unloosened my stranglehold on his neck. There was no resisting the iron strength of his hands. Then he pulled me around to face him, cradling me in his arms like a small child. He held me for a moment, then carefully placed me on the springy ferns. "How do you feel?" he asked.

on him or that their meddling has caused him problems that they have to solve. W h e n a character reverses polarity, the laws of polarity suggest that there be some reciprocal movement from the character or force at the opposite pole. W h e n Character A makes a seismic polarity shift, Character Z at the other end of the spectrum in the relationship may also take a little vacation from his or her comfort zone, or may be driven to a complete reversal himself. It can become uncomfortably crowded at one pole if both people in the relationship are suddenly expressing the same kind of energy. If Character Z has been habitually lazy, and has come to depend on a habit ually energetic Character A to do all the work, it can be alarming when the energetic A suddenly decides to experiment with laziness. N o one is left to do the work, and Z, who is lazy by nature, may be forced into the unfamiliar role of the worker, with potentially comic results
