Dr.Phil McGraw

Dr.Phil has also founded The Dr.Phil Foundation, which is a non-profit charitable organization that is committed to helping families at risk. He also gives out awards to notable children who are working hard and overcoming vast obstacles. If you want to get somewhere you have to set priorities. This will make it much easier for you to reach your target in the future. If you are a good athlete and go to competitions , you have a strategy. Therefore, you do not quit nor give up until you have crossed the finish line. Those who take care of themselves are much healthier and stronger than those who do not take care of themselves. I think that my recipe for a happy life is to be friendly and smiling everyday, even if you've had a bad day.

you will engrave our chosen message. However, you engraved the wrong message and not the one that I had given you. Another problem is the quality of that figure. I was very disappointed, because when I received the figure, it was already broken. In fact, the wooden stand was cracked not only one but from many places. In your advert you also claim that the product will be delivered within 10 days, but it took 3 weeks until I got it. I had to buy another gift for my friend. I am really sad, because that china figure would have matched perfectly with the theme of my friend's new room. I would like you to refund my money as soon as possible. Unless I receive a satisfactory reply within the next three weeks, I will have to take further action. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Lisanna Mark

Dear Aunt Annette Great thanks for the letter and the invitation too! I'm already waiting exitedly to visit you in your new home. I hope that my mum will let me there, but I'm not really sure, because, you know, she's so over protecting and London is far form Estonia and so also far from her. But she knows that I'm counting on her.So that's why I hope that she allows me to come. Until here, I have done really well at school. I have some few bad marks and lots of good marks. Teachers are usually satisfied with my results. Ofcourse my mother still ,,knows" that I could do better. But I'm already doing better. I guess she's never satisfied with my work. As a family were doing perfect. I think as I'm now completely got over my adolescence age, we don't fight so much anymore

and very good friends. It is inappropriate to eat food while walking on the street. The only exception might be ice cream. The European style of eating--fork remaining in the left hand--prevails in Finland. Avoid eating anything with your fingers, including fruit. Refrain from eating before your host begins, and take small portions because it is the custom to eat everything on one's plate. At a dinner party, it is customary to refrain from drinking until the host offers a toast, and to refrain from eating until the host begins. Standing with arms folded is sometimes viewed as a sign of arrogance. Always cover the mouth when yawning! Finnish Behaviour Finns believe there is a proper way to act in any circumstance and always expect courteous behaviour. Talk in moderate tones and do not do anything to call attention to yourself. Should rich people welcome immigration.

Should rich people welcome immigration? People migrate as they have done for many centuries, in search of a better life, warmer climates, more natural resources .Immigration will probably last until all countries are economically equal. But should rich countries welcome immigrates, who want to start a new life in their country? Immigration has it's negative and positive sides. Firstly, the positive side is that most immigrants have been working hard in developed countries. They start their own business by running a corner shop or owning a restaurant. Talented people also have a opportunity to use their talent in developed countries the way they can not do in their home country.

Forgiveness and punishment

pain as they did. As a result of that people want to punish the people who hurt them. Although if the defendant is sorry and regrets what they did, maybe it's okay to forgive. Even though it may be hard to let go of the hatred and emotions in the end it might help to move on. Secondly if the culprit is not sorry, do they even deserve redemption? And all the people in prisons who don't feel guilt, should we keep them in prison until they do? However the problem with that is that it costs a lot of money. On the other hand there's the death penalty, but that is not really a solution. To sum up I would say that although forgiving is hard, people should do it more often to move on. Also I believe that if after prison people do not regret their actions, they should get some counseling or something similar. Because if they don't understand what they've done, they do it again.

It is all clad in shiny stainless steel. In March 1958, a few months after the launch of Sputnik 1, a competition was announced for the best design of an obelisk celebrating the dawn of the Space Age. Out of some 350 proposals, the design by sculptor A.P. Faidysh-Krandievsky and architects A.N. Kolchin and M.O. Barshch was chosen. The grand opening of the monument took place on October 4, 1964, on the day of the 7th anniversary of the Sputnik 1 launch. Since the 1960s, this part of Moscow in general has had a high concentration of space- themed sights and names: besides the monument and the museum under it, the grand "Cosmos" pavilion in the Exhibition Centre displayed many artifacts of the Soviet space program. Christmas in different countrys(jõulud erinevates maades)

Christmas in Finland Everybody's house is given a very good clean in readiness for Christmas. Hours are spent in the kitchen cooking and baking special treats for the festive season. Fir trees are felled, tied onto sleds, and taken home to be decorated. A sheaf of grain is often tied to a pole, together with nuts and seeds and placed in the garden for the birds. Many of the peasants will not eat their Christmas dinner until the birds have had their dinner. The meal was begun as soon as the first star appeared in the sky. In Finland the Christmas tree is set up on Christmas Eve. Apples and other fruits, candies, paper flags, cotton and tinsel are used as decorations, and candles are used for lighting it. The Christmas festivities are preceded by a visit to the famous steam baths, after which everyone dressed in clean clothes in preparation for the Christmas dinner, which is served at 5-7 in the evening.

Estonians: What we’re really like

We have many talented people, especially athletes like Markko Märtin, Marko Asmer, Kaia Kanepi, Andrus Veerpalu and Mart Poom. We love sports and working out is a part of our lives, that's why you don't see almost any overweight people in the streets. We are reputed to be quite stubborn, I don't think that's true about our stereotype. I do think that we're too reserved. We're too tense all the time and don't really go with it when somebody is trying to make us laugh. It takes a little time until we warm up and start to communicate. Somehow we tend to make jokes on ourselves. Then you may realize, that you can really have fun with us.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM The term acid rain refers to what scientists call acid deposition. It is caused by airborne acidic pollutants and has highly destructive results. Scientists first discovered acid rain in 1852, when the English chemist Robert Agnus invented the term. From then until now, acid rain has been an issue of intense debate among scientists and policy makers. Acid rain, one of the most important environmental problems of all, cannot be seen. The invisible gases that cause acid rain usually come from automobiles or coal-burning power plants. Acid rain moves easily, affecting locations far beyond those that let out the pollution. As a result, this global pollution issue causes great debates between countries that fight over polluting each other's environments.

Working at home and in the office

Working at home and in the office When people talk about working in the office, they usually consider the office work the most boring work ever. People have to sit still for long hours and work until theirand heads start to ache. They can only have a short lunch break and no more free time is allowed. When people work in the office, they have to give their fullest and slacking off is unapproved. In comparison, working at home seems to have many benefits. People who work at home can personally choose their working hours according to their own lifestyle and take as many breaks as they feel necessary. school’s entrance examinations. I promised to myself that I will spend at least half an hour a day to revise all the things I had learned in primary school. I had always dreamed of studying there. During the first week I could almost keep my promise and spent the time I wanted to spend on revising, but after that I got very lazy and did not keep up with my revising at all. So time went by and I did not worry at all about the entrance exams until the day they were already there. The examination took place in room 204. It lasted for 3 hours and I spent every last second of it, because it proved to be very difficult. A month later I received a letter from the school. The letter stated that I hadn’t passed the exams and so I had to go into a high school which I also liked but was not particularly my dream school. From that mistake I learned that if I really want something I have to go for it and never give up

Taxes

Taxation Act in Estonia was passed in 2002. Taxes are divided into direct and indirect taxes. Direct taxes are income taxes, gambling tax, land tax, social tax and heavy goods vehicle tax. The income tax rate in Estonia is 21% and social tax rate is 33%. In 2000 a corporate tax reform took place in Estonia. The goal was to accelerate economic growth and make additional funds available for investment and the idea is that the moment of taxation of corporate income tax is postponed until the distribution of profits. The profit that is reinvested in the company is not taxed separately. Indirect taxes include value added tax(VAT), alcohol excise duty, tobacco excise duty, fuel excise duty and packaging excise duty. Standard rate of VAT is 20% but some goods enjoy reduced rate of 9%.

the underwater rocks, while the inside of the half-circle is calm. During bird migrations in the spring and fall, this half-circular lagoon is a favorite stopover point for storks on their long trip to and from Egypt, where most of them spend the winter. Sometimes there are well over a hundred storks, as well as other waterbirds, resting in the calm waters of the lagoon. Folk tradition ties Panga cliff as a place of worship and sacrifice for the ancient Saarlanders. It is known that until well into the 19th century, local fishermen poured libations of beer and whisky over the edge of the cliff, especially at midsummer eve, to ensure lots of fish during the coming year. There is a fishing spell that was chanted in Mustjala parish, and it says: "Come, come closer codfish to me. Bite my hook my dearest gray one. Weather and Nature in Estonia

I want to tell about Estonian weather.Estonian weather is very different. It can be in winter ime around 30C and half a year later there will be +30C. Best time, of course, is July. Then is a quite warm.Temperature is about +25C.But in fact, there is no summer at all. This is because Estonia is rather wet, windy, rainy and cloudy country. Spring is usual, rather cold, but sun is already shines. On March and April can happen that during ay there is five degrees below zero until 10 degrees in same day just early monings are really icy but afternoon if sun is high it is already nice and warm. Autumn is very similar to spring. There are rather icy and wet. Winter is very crafty, some days temperature can be around 5 degrees below zero, but sometimes can be 20 degrees below zero.If you like skiing then winter in Estonia is a best time for it. In my opinion, summer time is a best time for me. But I like winter too. Nature in Estonia is also very beautiful.

Netherlands

Eventually, however, the tide of war turned in favor of the Dutch. From 1585 to 1587 English troops were sent overseas to aid the insurgent cause, and in 1588 the English destroyed the great Spanish Armada, a victory that drastically curtailed the ability of Spain to wage war abroad. The seven provinces in the Union of Utrecht were cleared of Spanish troops by 1600. (3) From 1609 to 1621 a truce was in effect between the Spanish and the Dutch, but the war subsequently dragged on until 1648, when the Spanish signed the Treaty of Münster, by which the sovereignty of the Dutch Republic of the United Provinces was recognized. The republic thus severed all theoretical ties with Spain and the Holy Roman Empire and became one of the great powers on the Continent, a republic in the midst of monarchies. Towards the end of his life, he joined a circle of younger artists who appreciated his remarkable powers. It was not until the late 19th century that Blake's work achieved general attention. Reported speech reeglid

the following Saturday the next Saturday next Saturday the Saturday after that Saturday Examples: I went to the theatre last night. He said he had gone to the theatre the night before. I'm having a party next weekend. He said he was having a party the next weekend. I'm staying here until next week. He said he was staying there until the following week. I came over from London 3 years ago. He said he had come over from London 3 years before. Personal pronouns You also need to be careful with personal pronouns. They need to be changed according to the situation. You need to know the context. For example, there is possible confusion when you try to change reported speech to direct speech: She said she'd been waiting for hours. (Is she one person or two different people?)

London - tornide linn

Romans came to England in 43 AD. But we don't know much about them. The Romans built houses, a port and a bridge over the river and named the place Londinium. The bridge which was built by the Romans was later known as London Bridge and it was built in stone in 1176. London soon became the largest city in England and by the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066 it had become the most important city in Britain. It grew area and population until September 1666, when the Great fire destroyed four fifths of the wooden buildings in the City. The fire began in the kitchen of the King's baker in Pudding Lane and lasted for five days. By now London is a city of seven million people covering over 1,5 square miles. Nowadays the population of London is made up of the people of very many nationalities. It is a popular place to live because there is something new to see and do every day.

Friends and Friendship

We did everything together and we were enough for each other we didn't let other children to our games. In games as well as in learning, I had 3 great supporters and everything was easy and fun with them. Everyone grows up, so did I and my buddies. Unfortunately we grew apart, because it is hard to meet between all the schoolwork and hobbies. Few appointments at primary school are completely gone now and all of us have found new friends. I didn't find really great friends from my class until about third grade. I went dancing with two classmates and I was connected with others by similar interests. I visited one girl every week and we played together for a while. Recently, my friends have changed, again. I have gotten distant with ones and made new friends, with whom I can laugh endlessly and who will always listen to my problems and give the best advice. I have buddies who don't care about big presents if they can see me in person.
