Pros and cons of social networking

It helps students do homework faster and then they can have free time to do hobbies. It could also provide distance learning due to sickness or travelling. But in the other hand it’s bad because the internet enables the spread of unreliable and false information. Also people don’t read as much books if they get all the information from the internet. If students prefer internet to books, then schools would start using computers instead of books. Therefore students would not have any connections to books which could lead to people not interacting with themselves and again because of this people can’t interact with other people. It all comes down to one thing when we use social networking- ability to express yourself. In order to have the ability to express yourself I think that we should hold balance between real people and internet friends. Thank you for listening. 1

Ticket No1 1)The characteristic is called output characteristic or volt-ampere charateristic of a Rectifier Diode. 2)Rectifier Diode. 3) A is called Anode and C is called Cathode. An Anode has positive potential and therefore collects electrons in the device. Cathode has negative potential and therefore emits electrons to anode. The symbol looks like an arrow that ponts from the anode to the cathode, and reminds that conventional current flows easily from the p side(anode) to the n side(cathode). BIASING. Forward biasing. If the current in a diode is too large, excessive heat will destroy the device. Even approaching the burnout current value without reaching it can shorten its life. Therefore manufacturer's data sheet specifies the maximum forward current, that diode can withstand.

Report for Frankenstein

Luckily nowadays this is not such a big problem as it used to be. I liked the eloquent writing style and the authors' ability to put real emotions into the story. It made me feel empathic sometimes for Victor and sometimes for the monster. The book illustrates the good and evil qualities of its main characters and shows how weak and frightened people can be. I do think that this story will remain popular because it has inspired many other books and movies and therefore it's theme remains relevant. Conclusion In conclusion I would like to say that the book was interesting and gripping. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an insightful, well-written character study about human nature because it is a look into human nature and the mind. It made me think about the real values in life and it tought me to be more tolerant towards other people.

Me and languages

Me and languages. To begin with, language is a congrecation of thoughts and feelings through a system of signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or written symbols. Communication or language is a process every child learns from birth and during our life we will usually learn many different languages. Due to the fact that both of my parents are Estonians , my mother tongue is Estonian, therefore I can speak and write in it very fluently. I also prefer read the books in Estonian. I know that some people like to do it in some other languages, in English for instance. I am really amused by the Estonian literature. I like to read books and stories from Andrus Kivirähk and F.R. Kreutzwald. English is one of the world most spoken language. You can hear it everywhere, no matter which part of the world are you in. I would put it on the conscience of the greedy lawyers who wisely get the money out of the courts and bigger percentage to themselves. Honour to them but that still doesn't make it right. Or maybe the laws aren't so perfect after all. But there isn't any clear solutions to it. Maybe to develop a new kind of legal system, desirably the perfect one. Therefore I would leave you with one statement: "There has always been, there is and always will be holes in the constitutional laws."

RMS Titanic

850 yards (777 metres) Turning radius at ca 20 knots: 3.850 ft (1.173,5 metres) Anchors: 3 (2 side, 1 central) RMS Titanic captain was Edward John Smith The number of casualties of the sinking is unclear, due to a number of factors. These include confusion over the passenger list, which included some names of people who cancelled their trip at the last minute, and the fact that several passengers travelled under aliases for various reasons and were therefore double-counted on the casualty lists. The death toll has been put at between 1,490 and 1,635 people. Less than a third of those aboard Titanic survived the disaster. Some survivors died shortly afterwards; injuries and the effects of exposure caused the deaths of several of those brought aboard Carpathia. The figures show stark differences in the survival rates of the different classes aboard Titanic. Although only 3 percent of first-class women were lost, 54 percent of those in third class died

Design RF, RH and RL for optimal temperature resolution. Use the range 0.5 – 4.5 V as in Ball Chapter 3. Since we have 8 bit = 256 step resolutions -10°C corresponds 3.35/5 *256 = 171 to 50°C corresponds 1.02/5 * 256 = 52 to 8 bit ADC steps of 171-52=119 counts for 50C to -10C = 60C span Therefore, the resolution is 119 =1,98 steps 60 We want the -10°C to 50°C falling between 0.5V to 4.5V on the ADC: This caling will give 8bit ADC range of 204 counts over 60C span. 204 =3,4 steps 60 Before scaling, the output V0 span is 3.35V- 1.02V=2.33V. After scaling, the output V0 span will be 4.5V-0.5V=4.0V. 4 / 2.33 =1.7 The gain (amplification) for this will be The outputs will be : 3.35V* 1

after this dance. Krumping brings many benefits for the mind and for the body at the same time. In the initial phases of Krumping style development, people believed it will turn into another way through which gangs are formed and start with various negative actions. However, this was exactly the opposite. All the young members that have joined a Krumping crew say that they have never felt more free and those who have had a troubled past are now more relieved and peaceful. Therefore, the effects of Krumping are highly beneficial on those who practice it. Like hiphop krumping has its own slang terms which are used by those in the krumping community. If someone performs a `buck' then that is considered to be a move that is extremely impressive and hard to pull off. Labbin' is a term used to describe when members of a krumping crew get together and try to create new buck moves

But, if I wear comfortable clothes of nice colours ,then I feel I am the coolest person in the world and forget all the worries. I feel too much confidence in myself. I believe that fashion has the ability to transform you into a new personality, a different person. Most of the styles are applied by teenagers. They always want something unique and a new style that differs him/her from others. Therefore, they create a new line of fashion trends to keep their own identity as a teenager. The following conclusions are: 1. Fashion plays a big role in young people’s development. 4 2.Fashion helps young people to express their personality. 3.Fashion shows social status of a person. 4. „ Clothes make the man“. eelmise YAR 2004 (Vancouver) versiooniga. Miks YAR 2004 ei leidnud populaarsust/kasutamist meresõitjate juures? When the YARs were last updated in 2004 at Vancouver there was, for the first time, a lack of consensus between the main commercial stakeholders regarding many of the changes, with shipowning interests also taking the view that the proposed changes were premature, given that the 1994 rules were only a decade old. The 2004 YARs were therefore incorporated in relatively few contracts of carriage. The YAR 2016 largely reflect the YAR 1994, which BIMCO has to date recommended as the basis for general average adjustments, while containing some useful clarifications and additions such as on low value cargoes. Importantly, it has been agreed that an annual interest rate of LIBOR plus 4 percentage points applies according to the new rules, while the commission of 2 per cent on owners' disbursements has been abolished

There is, however, no such thing as private ownership established by nature, but property becomes private either through long occupancy (as in the case of those who long ago settled in unoccupied territory) or through conquest (is in the case of those who took it in war) or by due process of law, bargain, or purchase, or by allotment. On this principle the lands of Arpinum are said to belong to the Arpinates, the Tusculan lands to the Tusculans; and similar is the assignment of private property. Therefore, inasmuch as in each case some of those things which by nature had been common property became the property of individuals, each one should retain possession of that which has fallen to his lot; and if anyone appropriates to himself anything beyond that, he will be violating the laws of human society. But since, as Plato has admirably expressed it, we are not born for ourselves alone, but our country claims a share of our being, and our friends a share; and

Global Warming

Global Warming One of the biggest issues our planet and its inhabitants are facing nowadays is global warming. Global warming, also often referred to as the greenhouse effect, has not always been a problem. However, over the last centuries, since the Industrial Revolution things have changed. Polar regions are melting, species are dying, climate zones are shifting, migration patterns for animals such as polar bears and birds are being disrupted our world as we know it is changing. Some scientists believe that the climate will reach a tipping point, a point at which even a tiny additional increase would throw the system into violent change. We started doing harmful things and only now do we realize what we have done and what we are doing. At this current rate by the middle of next century the Earth's temperature may rise a predicted from 2 to 6 degrees Celsius. This may not seem as much but with the E...

How does virtual communication influence our behaviour and relationships? Virtual world is growing closer to ours every day. Becoming virtual in the means of communication has changed our lives forever. Recent studies tell that about 75% of the people in North-America use the internet and from that 95% use email and other virtual communication software. This percentage has grown over 130% from the year 2000. I bring my examples on North-America because there is the highest percentage of Internet users in population

And last but definitely not the least negative side, which people might consider, is that looks count too. Most passive homes have limited windows and a boxy shape, which is the easiest geometry to keep insulated and highly energy efficient. Homes with curves and larger footprints require extra insulation and sealing , therefore they cost more money. Now let´s imagine, that despite all the extra fees, you still want to build an energy efficent house. So you must wonder, how high the standard is? Well, one passive house consultant in US reviewed a home, that was designed to earn top raiting from the Green Building Council, and yet he determined that it wouldn´t qualify as a passive house for several reasons it had too many windows but we all want to see the daylight, right

Reported Speech (in other words Indirect Speech) If we report what another person has said, we usually do not use the speaker's exact words (direct speech), but reported (indirect) speech. Therefore, you need to learn how to transform direct speech into reported speech. We use reported speech when we are saying what other people say, think or believe. - Example: If this verb is in the present tense (says), it's easy. We just put 'she says' and then the sentence. When we are reporting things in the present, future or present perfect we don't change the tense. : direct speech: "I like ice cream" reported speech: She says she likes ice cream

Summary

Summary In this summary I will analyse three articles on the topic of whether it is justified and morally right to use drone warfare in the tribal areas of Pakistan and in Gaza. To begin, we do not know if the drones have done more harm or good in the tribal areas of Pakistan. Most of the information about drone attacks is coming from dubious Pakistan media, which we cannot seriously rely on. Hence, we cannot be sure if the persons killed by drones were innocent civilians or extremists. (Fair, 2013) One the one hand, using drones can be more discriminate, because they hover over the enemy for hours and wait for the perfect moment to attack, when there are no innocent people who might get injured. (Beautmont, 2012) On the other hand, it means that after watching and killing their targets, they continue hovering over villages, which affects people’s psychology. (Owen, 2013) New York Times journalist David Rohde, who was kidnapped by ...

The following pattern is similar to those that I have already shown you, so you should have no problem playing it. Now, as always I would like you to use correct fingering. The correct finger will be written out below the TAB. You will have noticed that when there is a zero on the above tab there is no fingering indicated. That is because a zero indicates an open fret, therefore you don't need to use a finger to push down on the string. Keep working with this pattern until you feel that you are playing it smoothly. Ok. Now we can get into the more exciting part of the lesson - playing with the band. This should be a lot of fun. protect Boo, insists that Ewell tripped over a tree root and fell on his own knife. After sitting with Scout for a while, Boo disappears once more into the Radley house. Quotation I would like to bring out a quotation that helps to understand the book better. "Shoot all the blujays you want, if you can't hit `em, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." Atticus said that to his children, he gave the instructions for life with this sentence. Mockingbird is a symbol of innocence and therefore it's a sin to harm innocent people. My opinion It was enjoyable and quite serious reading. That book wasn't only a story of relations between people but also a historical review about what was going on in southern America in the 1930s. I knew that racism was a great issue on those days but now I know more about it. I would recommend "To Kill a Mockingbird" to the people who fancy classics and who like books where you have to think also during reading.

occupants, and the multitude of conventions held within the hotel. The statement is further supported by the fact that occupancy drops with the decrease of influx of business people. The occupancy drops significantly in the July and August which is probably due to the fact that businesses generally run slower in that part of the summer (due to plague of vacations) in the northern hemisphere on latitudes with explicit seasonal changes. Therefore, the hotel must be located on the part of the globe described. The occupancy by women seems to be somewhat statistically correlated with percentage of tourists residing in the hotel. This may imply that the most business people staying in the hotel are men. The women occupancy seems to peak at three points: April, October and December. The latter is probably due to couples and families (influx of people aged under 20 is in December

Mostly because producing all these different parts starting from mining raw materials to producing a car to recycling it takes hugh quantities of energy: electricity, fuel, natural resources etc. · In the end hybrids have a shorter lifetime so they dont save as much as they spend energy. · On the other hand buying a hybrid seems reasonable if you live in a big city. You will make a difference by reducing emissions therefore smog levels will reduce and also the city will become less noisy. · You will use mostly your electric motor which will pay off in traffic jams, when you wont burn fuel by waiting in a jam. It is up to the consumer to decide which meets their needs and principals, also considering that hybrids are fairly new, they will become more eco-friendly in time. Thank yo u fo r lis te ning !

Analyzing the answers I see the stratification of society, where one side is set extremely negative, but I am glad that there are positive opinions about living in Estonia. But everything in order: The first group of people are inclined to say that in Estonia is difficult even for local people and what to say about those who come from abroad. The problem is particularly acute elderly (old people). Their pensions are small, wherefore they are often forced to work. When people say about government, they responds terms like "corruption" and "incompetence". It is sad to state the fact that the percentage of dissatisfied respondents is higher than the percentage of people who satisfied of their life. The second group of people are more positive. Estonian Business School ANALYSIS OF A PRESENTATION Home assignment Tallinn 2015 For the home assignment we had to choose one presentation from Ted.com. I chose about a 4 minute presentation by Nilofer Merchant on the following topic: “Got a meeting? Take a walk”. The main reason for choosing this presentation was that I had read Steve Jobs's biographical book and there he talked how he liked to go for a walk when having a meeting and therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to get to know a bit more about something that I already know about. Also, I think that in the future, it pays off to know some easy tricks about how to make your meetings more interesting, more memorable and more healthier. Last thing mentioned in the previous paragraph is nowadays in my opinion, one of the hottest topics and we can see it in the headlines on a daily basis. I am quite sure that

Interview with Chinese lecturer

come to China from poorer countries in Asia hoping to earn more money and have a better life in China than they would in their own countries. To be able to become successful in China they need the Chinese language skills and consequently respect the teachers who can make a great difference in their lives by teaching them the necessary vocabulary. In Estonia on the other hand, the reason to study Chinese is often due to some level of interest rather than a necessity. Therefore the motivation and effort the students put in the Chinese language studies varies greatly. According to the lecturer, the students in Estonia question the teacher's decisions more than the students in China which also suggests that the teachers have a smaller amount of authority. She explains that in her experience the students in Estonia occasionally complain about the large amount of home assignments, tests and some classroom assignments such as moving

Overfishing

WHY IS OVERFISHING A PROBLEM?: To explain why overfishing is a problem we first have to get an idea on the scale of the problem. This is best done by looking at repord published by the Food and Agriculture Organization scientists. The above shows that over 25% of all the world's fish stocks are either overexploited or depleted (dipliitid). Another 52% is fully exploited, these are in imminent danger of overexploitation and collapse (kollaaps). Therefore a total of almost 80% of the world's fisheries are fully to over exploited, depleted, or in a state of collapse. Worldwide about 90% of the stocks of large predatory fish stocks are already gone.  In the real world all this comes down to two serious problems.  We are losing species as well as entire ecosystems. As a result the overall ecological unity of our oceans are under stress and at risk of collapse.

The letter of complain

Yours sincerely Mari Mets. 7 February 2014 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to ask for information about your organization "WWF". I would like to know how I can help but I do not know if this organization operates in Estonia. If I would like join how much would it cost and how I can apply? I am a 16-year-old student and I study at Viljandi Gymnasium. I also help as a volunteer in the local animal shelter, therefore I would like to know what kind of responsibilities do the people involved in your group have? I would also like to know what kind of people belong to this organization and does it belong to a government or is it independent? If I am a member, can I have any advantages or training possibilities? I am looking forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully Mari Mets. 14 February, 2014 Dear Sir/Madam

uncertain, which may indicate that her discoveries are not all-encompassing in nature and may fade away from the memory. From the very beginning it is evident that Laura is a young lady, who tries to learn how to establish herself. During that process she has to step out of her comfort zone for several times. She is often afraid of looking silly or simply weird. As well as, she constantly questions how she should behave. Therefore, she often imitates her mother or somebody else to be taken seriously. Once she attempted to impose herself among workmen, but failed miserably and lost face. Namely she attempted to mimic her mother`s voice in an unconvincing way by saying "Good morning" to workmen. Afterwards she felt very much ashamed. Nevertheless, she gives her all to live up to the same social standards and values as she is raised to follow.

Body Shaming

appearance? Insults can be a go-to defense in these situations, particularly during adolescence and the young-adult years. In some ways, it feels easier to shoot for something that will hurt, like targeting physical appearance, rather than expressing what is really going on emotionally. Saying, “I’m really hurt by how my friend treated me,” or “I’m terrified of losing this friendship” opens us up and makes us more vulnerable, and therefore feels easier to bury underneath the body-shaming comments that rush to mind. How do we challenge this? In situations like those listed above, expressing true feelings rather than physical criticisms can be a great first step. Recently discussed in IOP, several patients admitted that it is hard to identify ways of expressing frustration without using body-shaming, as this has become an almost automatic response. I will bring out some ways, how to deal with body shaming

Mageveekäsna Ephydatia fluviatilis populatsiooni geneetiline analüüs

However, homogenisation of all the gene variants is not always Ephydatia fluviatilis as an example, and describe intra-individual complete [2]. Divergent copies may interfere in obtaining heterogeneity in this species for the first time. Our method enables adequate results from phylogenetic [3] or phylogeographic to distinguish between individuals by compiling a specific profile analysis [4]. Therefore it is crucial to distinguish between real for each individual analysed. Comparing these profiles can help us informative allelic variants and the misleading single mutated to assess which specimens are similar enough on a genetic level to copies, to achieve reproducible findings. For this reason, a small be used together for one analysis e.g. for separating an enzyme of

1703 rpm. For the Reynolds number 1993 the percentage difference of the value of the overall heat transfer coefficient was 12%, with the Reynolds number of 2628 the difference was 5%, for the constant Reynolds number of 3245 the difference was 2, 4% and for the Reynolds number of 3855 the difference was only 1, 5%. It is noticed, that the overall heat transfer coefficients were bigger with the experiments without using the insulation, therefore with the lower bath temperature. However, the difference is not significant. 21 3.2 Unsteady state The following graph (Figure 9) shows the result overall heat transfer coefficient of the unsteady state calculated assuming there was no heat loss. 700 650 600 550

Discuss the representation of the generation of fathers in Turgenev’s novel “Fathers and Sons”

Witnessing this situation makes Arkdays heart ache perhaps in a way that Turgenev himself felt with the fate of ill-organised estates. Marino's lacklustre management symbolises the futility of the gentry's attempts to modernize - Nikolai stands as the ,,the economic failings of the gentry" (Dunaev: 1983:196). The shortcomings of the Kirsanov management are even more obvious when subtly contrasted with the well-organised Nikolskoe, ran by Odintsova a representative of the new generation. Therefore the sad state of Marino can be seen as a symbol to the ineffective establishment of the gentry, the generation of fathers. Moreover, one of the climaxing issues of the era the liberation of serfs- surfaces in the conversation, and Nikolai, despite adapting the obrok method, is not fully holding modernist views - " , , , , .." Ripp (1980) emphasizes, that although Nikolai finds himself as progressive and liberal,

Short and long term effects of alcohol

membranes are concerned they are highly permeable to alcohol, once alcohol is in the bloodstream it can diffuse into nearly every biological tissue of the body. Excessive drinking may lead to unconsciousness or alcohol poisoning. Death can also occur. Different concentrations of alcohol in the human body have different effects on the subject. Depending on the BAC (blood alcohol concentration) there are different states the consumer may end up: euphoria, lethargy , confusion, stupor, coma. Therefore it is important to have control over alcohol intake in order to avoid coma while the goal is euphoria. Allthough when taking a next beer, following mornings hangover seems to be the main disadvantage, in addition there are also long term effects such as an increased risk of developing alcoholism, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, and cancer. Damage to the central and peripheral nervous system is a result of sustained alcohol consumption.

Digital Signal Processing Vocabulary

science in the twenty-first century. Changes have already been made in various fields of study: communications, medical imaging, and high fidelity music reproduction, to name just a few. Each of these disciplines has developed a deep DSP technology, with its own algorithms and specialized techniques. This combination of breadth and depth makes it impossible for any one individual to master all of the DSP technology that has been developed. Therefore, DSP education involves two tasks: learning general concepts that apply to the field as a whole, and learning specialized techniques for your particular area of interest. The first chapter of the book describes the effects that DSP has made in several diverse fields. (Steven W. Primitive and modern economies A simple economy In this economy there is no money and therefore there are two choices open to the household sector upon receipt of the goods and services: consumption or investment. For instance: a worker takes payment in the form of a plough so that in the future years when he enters the business sector he can produce more food per acre. The introduction of money In order to simplify the exchange of goods and services between different households, a tool is needed, into which all products can be converted

Molaarmassi määramine süsinikdioksiidi kolmel erineval viisil

The aim of the experiment To determine the molar mass of carbon dioxide in three different ways; 1) using the Ideal Gas Law equation, 2) using the molar volume of a gas at NTP, 3) using the relative density to air Equipment CO2 tank, a flask with a rubber stopper (300 cm 3), technical balance, measuring cylinder (250 cm3), thermometer, barometer. Method 1. Determine the mass (m1= mflask+stopper+air) of the dry flask with a rubber stopper by weighing on a technical balance. Draw a line on the flask at the bottom edge of the stopper in order to measure the volume of the flask in step 5. 2. Fill the flask with carbon dioxide gas. Direct the gas from the CO 2 tank into the flask for about 7-8 minutes. The tip of the hose has to be in the bottom but not very closely against the bottom. Otherwise it may happen that all of the CO 2 will exit from other branches of the hose bundle. 3. Seal the flask q...

rose garden, which surprises and depresses him--his rose had told him that she was the only one of her kind. The prince befriends a fox, who teaches him that the important things in life are visible only to the heart, that his time away from the rose makes the rose more special to him, and that love makes a person responsible for the beings that one loves. The little prince realizes that, even though there are many roses, his love for his rose makes her unique and that he is therefore responsible for her. Despite this revelation, he still feels very lonely because he is so far away from his rose. The prince ends his story by describing his encounters with two men, a railway switchman and a salesclerk. It is now the narrator's eighth day in the desert, and at the prince's suggestion, they set off to find a well. The water feeds their hearts as much as their bodies, and the two share a moment of bliss as they agree
