Is global climate change man-made or not?

Essay. Is global climate change (global warming) man-made or not? Over the last hundred years the Earth has been warming. This warming is believed to lead to many issues such as increasing of nature disasters, weather changes and draught. All of these consequences could become a reason of economic decay in many countries, especially in some undeveloped countries. Therefore it is very important to find out who is guilty of the climate changing. Many people are confident that the reason of global warming is man made carbon dioxide. Over the last hundred years our society has been developing very fast: there has been built a huge amount of different factories, has been made so many inventions in all fields of human activity. Unfortunately only recently we have noticed that by making our life more comfortable and more enjoyable we destroy nature and cause appearance of ozone holes wh...

Computers should be used while studying

Nowadays more and more students use computers while studying. While I believe that students should use more computers while studying, their parents and also teachers do not. I strongly believe that computers are useful while studying if you use them as they should be used. Firstly, using computers can improve their computer skills, which can be used later. For example finding a job. Nowadays there lots and lots of jobs which require atleast basic knowledge about computers. Therefore, it is important for them to have computer skills atleast at basic level. Secondly, using computers while studying can speed up the learning and also writing process, because it is known that the youth can find a missing word or a phrase on the internet in a matter of seconds. Also, they write a lot faster on computer than by hand, so it can drastically improve the speed of learning. On the other hand, students do not always use computers for learning. They use them also

Why do I need to speak English in English class?

As to languages, constant improving is even more important because this is how the know-how of the language develops. It is the second important reason why I should use English more frequently in English classes. We like to think that English is so much part of our lives, since we hear it every day in interactive media, for example TV. But actually if I do not speak the language out loud, it may happen that my spoken language never reaches its potential level, therefore it is very important to speak English out load, especially in English classes, where the teacher can correct me.

Article: Estonians

Estonians... Estonia is quite a northern country and therefore Estonians may seem a bit peculiar to ones from south, but don't be scared, they will not eat you (alive). Estonians are quite tranquilly and bottled up people - they might love or hate you and if you're not an expert will not make a difference as they didn't care at all. Rarely tend they to kiss or hug each other unless their beloved ones. So if they nevertheless do it then there's a great chance you're dealing with some non- Estonians. But there's no reason for worrying- if

Tolerance and diversity. People from different nationalities living in our country, they are obviously already a quarter of our population. Therefore our country´s population has several diversities. Stress in the life of young people today

However, it affects the young more than the adults. Young people are more easily influenced by it and often, can not cope with the pressure. The main reason why people are so stressed and overwhelmed all the time is the fast paced life we are all forced to lead. School, work and personal life often do not leave any time to take a breath and reload your batteries. Often, there is not an option to either study or work, because the youth want their independence and therefore have to earn their own money while still studying. Moreover, nowadays people are socially connected to each other everywhere they go. Social media, phones, the Internet help the youth to communicate with eachother whenever they want to, but it also takes a bit of a persons privacy away. There is a constant pressure to be accessible to all, to make it seem like the life you live is interesting and you have plenty of friends

The Great Fire kokkuvõte

His plan, in 1666 (he stayed in London and took charge of the operation to save the city) was to create fire-breaks. The heat created by the fire was so great that the lead roof on the old St Paul's Cathedral melted. The actual human casualty rate was remarkably small with possibly only 5 people dying in this fire. The wind that had helped the fire spread, turned on itself and drove the flames back into what had already been burned. Therefore, the fire had nothing to ignite and the fire died out. The Great Fire had burned down 84 churches and the old St Paul's. However, it had also destroyed the filthy streets associated the Great Plague. It was now up to the city's authority's to re-build and re-plan the city. This task was given to Sir Christopher Wren.

Pandemic - Studying during Covid-19

Studying at home is quite difficult for me, I don’t think it’s necessarily because of the pandemic, I’d say it’s more of a personal struggle. But when I have the motivation and or the goal in mind then I don’t think there is a more self-disciplined person than me. Most people probably enjoy studying from home because they can wake up when they want to, wear what they want to, eat what they want to and so on. But for me it just ruins my routines and boundaries therefore I get lazy and I start to slack off. Also I don’t like bringing “work” home because for me coming home is for unwinding and resting, but if I have to study at the same place where I rest then it’ll ruin the balance . Comparing studying at home and at school, then for me I definitely prefer studying at school because a big con for me is that I can’t focus and study, I get too comfortable, there isn’t anything more that I don’t like, but it’s obviously a dealbreaker

Choices after secondary school essay

Choices after secondary school Many young people decide to go to university after secondary school, while others think that going to work is a better decision. But what are the advantages of both options? There are many advantages that should be pointed out. To begin with, when one is applying to university, there are some tests that should be taken. After just finishing the secondary school, brain is capable of managing the pressure of learning and it is much easier to take the test right away. In addition, if the person knows what she/he wants to study, it would be a good idea to look for the best university and start taking the first steps forward, closer to the dream job. Although, going to university is extremely essential, some people tend to go to work after graduating from high school. If the ''perfect career'' search has not given any results, it is better to go to work and give yourself a li...

“You can never go home again“ Lord of the flies

the book but still some signs of savagery emerged in him for example when he had to run for his life from Jack's tribe who wanted to kill him. The novel demonstrated savagery as a part of human nature and that was the main reason why evilness occured in almost every boy on the island. Unfortunately Simon and Piggy did not even have the chance to go home again because they were killed by the savages. Both of them remained almost totally innocent during the novel and did not change so much and therefore if anyone had had the right to go home again then they would have had it undoubtably. It was sort of ironical that all the evil boys were able to go home and Piggy and Simon were not, but maybe author wanted to show how unfair life is and that is why good guys died, and other ones, in whom the survival instinct appeared more intensively, stayed alive. Although most of the boys were saved, they had changed so much that they actually returned

Protecting endangered species will make a difference in humans life

Protecting endangered species will make a difference in humans' life In the nature of humankind it is natural to hunt animals. However, nowadays hunting endangered species will make humans be just killers, because it is not necessary to kill something just to have a trophy on the wall at home. People can be proud of what they have done, but decreasing the population of a species largely will cause the specific animal breed to go extinct faster than it would happen via natural causes. Therefore, humans should stop hunting endangered species to slow down their extinction, as these species offer balance in the wildlife, are used without purpose in medicine, and may even reduce poverty. Species on the brink of extinction affect us more than we realize. Sure, pandas are cute, and rhinos are fun to look at, but is there anything more to that? All animals and plants form a very important part of our ecosystem that also includes our lands and waters. Remove one part from the environment

Capital Punishment Should Be Abolished

Capital Punishment Should (not) Be Abolished Capital punishment or the death penalty is the killing of the person as the punishment for offence. To get the capital punishment, you need to do a very serious crime, like homicide, or even more serious than that. The pros of a capital punishment are that if the person gets that punishment, he or she will never get a chance to do something that cruel again. Sometimes the criminals, who get a prison sentence, do something illegal again, after that punishment. Second pro is that it's cheaper for the country to kill the person, than to pay for his/her food and clothes for the rest of his/her life in the prison. Although the killing of the person also needs money, it's still way cheaper than to pay for at least 40 years for all the life needs in prison. The main con of the capital punishment is that if the person actually didn't commit the crime, he or she was punished for, will die as ...

Children while young

I think that there are not the right age for having children. It is so individual how people get ready to having them. Some of them are mature already in beginning of 20´s, therefore some people are not mentally adult even on their 30´s. Or like one of my relatives says that the best combination is young healthy woman and an older wealthy man. Also, the term young is very relative. Concidering the age of woman giving birth for the first time is about 25. It has been increased very much comparing with the ten years back time and the medium age for woman giving birth is 35. Nothing can be done to prevent crime

So, i agree with that statement. However, in my opinion our goverment has been doing some progress regarding crime prevention and social development. In its turn, even in a decent society no lacking primary needs there will be another kind of crimes, apparently harmless, such as: political corruption, bribery, money laundering, extortion, etc. The environment can change, but the mindset is still the same with tendency to ambition, greed and selfishness. Therefore, we prevent crimes not by kitting ourselves out in high-tech weapons or an efficient secret service, but by creating a whole environment that allows a definite change in our mind.

Lying is a natural and inevitable part of any good relationship

Lying is a natural and inevitable part of any good relationship Most relationship experts note honesty as number one requirement to have a happy and successful relationship. Somehow many people seem to disagree. After all, if it was all that simple, why would anyone lie? Don't they want to be happy? Perhaps reality is not that straightforward. Sometimes telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth is the worst thing to be done. From time to time truth can be hurtful. Noone wants to hear that they look exceptionally bad today, especially when they really do. A little fiction can save the day for everyone. Furthermore truth can be so complicated that noone really knows , what is real and what is not. Particularly when it concernes human emotions. There is no certainity, everything changes in time, and what is said genuinely today may become a lie tomorrow. People can be upset, sad or angry and say somethi...

Freedom of worship is not an exception, therefore people can believe or not believe in anything they want. According to this many people decided not to have any religion at all and called themselves ,,atheists". These people believe in their own physical and moral forces only, but now and here i will try to persuade the reader that having a God or some deity is better than to be godless. First reason, why it is better to be a religous person than atheist, is your spiritual and mental safety because if

to drink after a hard job. A group of few good old men managed to pull off the biggest bank robbery in Estonia. The amount they got away with was more then ten million euro's which was kept there by an international business man, David Copperfield. Two of them got away but before the trip to the West-Europe began the oldest member of the team went to Nõmme's supermarket to get an energy drink but he soon discovered that he left he's wallet at the getaway vehicle, therefore shopliftings reason was the lack of time and a killing durst so he just ran out from the store but after a few quick step he fell and sprang his ankle. A young officer named Ricky made the arrest and found a pack of euro's in his back pocket while searching him for stolen items. The criminal admitted his guilt and said that "You may have cached me, but you'll never catch my accomplishers and when I get out, I'll still be a rich man"

Essee What does being free mean?

For instance, that young ones, who acquit themselves ill in childhood and are not punished by parents, can connect their life with crime in after years. Another negative effect of being free is loneliness since nowadays youth wants to stay free of marriage as long as possible. Not all of them understand that such attitude towards others results being not only free, but also lonely. To sum up, I would like to say that every person is a small part of our society, therefore we should be useful for it. In my opinion, being free means participating in social life, where your opinion is valuable.

“What does success come from?”

An English saying goes: "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunities". With such a careful plan, I am sure that we will have enough abilities to realize a lot of opportunities and seize them. Having prepared, one will be able to have a general look at the opportunity. He can evaluate the chance so as to know whether or not it is good for him. As a result, he can minimize the outcome, maximize the income and avoid the failure as well. Therefore, his way to success will be very sturdy;while without careful planning, taking risks and chances thoughtlessly will make us easily be confused when too many new things need figuring out. Of course, in business, sometimes we can not predict what will happen and that there is some thing out of plan is inevitable. But with well planning that mentions all the possible situations, we can quickly back on our feet, or even turn mistakes into advantages as well.

Virtual friendship

Virtual friendship Virtual world undoubtedly makes our lives easier and makes it easier for us to get more friends, but are those real friends? Although virtual world gives us a chance to make more friends, there is considerable disagreement over whether these new friends are real or not. The main argument for the virtual world being superficial is that nowadays people rather tend to stay in front of their screens and just talk than go out and have a good time eye to eye. Therefore people might not have any idea who they are talking to or what these people really think of them. What is more, people often spend more time with their virtual friends chatting rather than dedicating time to the people that truly care about them. A final key argument relates to people turning lasier, with internet people will go less outside to make real friends that they can learn to know and can examine their behaviou...

I actually have quite many supermarkets around me but I chose this one because I feel like it has more of a story than the others. When you get to the building and have a look at it, you would definitely think that it needs renovation and it is definitely quite old and is from the Soviet times. It is actually really colourful, compared to most supermarkets, therefore it attracts all kinds of children from the area. It has a huge variety of materials in the shop, starting from fruit and vegetables and ending with toys, clothes and even cooking meals. Sadly, the fact that it is old, makes it quite enjoyable for the alcoholics to be around the area. It has three checkout counters where you can buy your grocer...

Idealization of nature in Romantic poetry

It is far from civilization, everything is pure, primitive, simple, untouched by man. This can be seen in Coleridge's "To Nature" (see below), where the author "builds his altar in the fields and the blue sky shall be his fretted dome". Romantic poets often expand upon this idea of nature providing a tranquil environment by actually bringing it to life and making it into something capable of having plans, ideas and actions. Nature can therefore not only create the place, but also perform certain actions, like dancing, breathing, thinking, planning, all to help the person in search of himself feel more in touch with nature by giving them a sense of company, a feeling that they are not alone but with a friend. This kind of personification is used in Wordsworth's "Lines written in early spring": /.../ And 'tis my faith that every flower Enjoys the air it breathes. /.../ The budding twigs spread out their fan,

Art-based learning

Art-based learning We can see that art-based learning is not a regular method in school. Although I barely can understand why. It seems to me, that it is rather interesting way of learning. I also would like to point out, that childrens emotional memory is strong and pleasant things will be understood and remembered more. Therefore I would like to discribe the method thoroughly. Only in the past few hundred years has reading been the primary way of teaching religion. For centuries, religious education relied on hearing and seeing. Religious education can benefit by returning to the ages-old methods of hearing and seeing to complement reading. This method enables you to make the old learning way-seeing available for the students nowadays. It is about deepening our understanding of faith

While most of world's contemporary parties have been established by the politicians who seek either politics or public office, United Russia, as well as its predecessors were created by top politicians with the intention to maximize their already existing power and control over country's politics. Therefore, unlike in many other post- communist countries, Russia's party politics in the 2000s with its decline in party fragmentation has not led to the strengthening of democratic party competition. Instead, after the 2007 State Duma elections, it was clear that United Russia had turned into a "party of power" without any considerable opponent in the competition. That is to say, although the overall party system in Russia has remained fragile, within this fragile party system stands

Yes. Articles 28–30 of the EC Treaty defined the scope and content of the principle by prohibiting unjustified restrictions on intra-EU trade. The right to free movement of goods originating in Member States, and of goods from third countries, which are in free circulation in the Member States, is one of the fundamental principles of the Treaty (Art. 28 TFEU). According to its wording, Article 34 TFEU applies to obstacles in trade ‘between Member States’. A cross-border element is therefore a prerequisite for evaluating a case under this provision. Beowulf(poem and Grendel(book) comparison

Comparison of "Beowulf" and "Grendel" by John Gardner The text has more or less the same meaning in both of the extracts. The differences lie in the language use, character types, speakers, layout etc. In the original "Beowulf" epic Grendel displays nothing but the most primitive human qualities. He is a grotesque monster who terrorizes a small community of Danish warriors. Therefore he can be called a flat character. In the book "Grendel" the protagonist and antagonist have been swapped. Gardner greatly alters the monster's characterization. In his novel, very little separates Grendel from his human counterparts: he has a high level of intelligence, as well as a human capacity for both emotion and philosophy. As the text is written in the first person point of view through Grendel's eyes, one gets a quite good picture of him. Unfortunately he is fighting with the inevitable

Apologies

Apologies · We have probably all been in a situation when we know have behaved badly towards someone, but pride has made us slow to apologise. As the British pop singer Elton John put it on one of his songs, it is often the case that ,,sorry seems to be the hardest word." Of course when we do manage to make a sincere apology-it can quickly reduce the hurt or resestment felt by the person we have behaved badly towards. In the words of the Canadian cartoonist Lynn Johnston "An apology is the superglue of life-it can repair just about anything". However a recent survey suggests that in Britain the word ,,sorry" is being used in various situations where it doesn't have the traditional purpose of expressing regret for something a person has said or done. Arguably, the word is now being overused and might even be in danger of losing its meaning. Based on a sample...

red. Size and weight Chihuahuas grow up to 30cm high and weigh very little, about13 kg. Chihuahuas don't admit their small size and often get in trouble with it. Clothing They don't need any dressing in the summer. It's cruisial to dress them up in the winter with warm jackets and small doggyshoes. Temperament Chihuahua demands and gives itself much affection. They may look small and tender but they are natively very active, energetic and bold. They need a lot of movement and therefore are more suitable for more active people. They're sure that all the attention and care should be narrowed to them. And get easily offended when people don't pay any attention to them, they'll show it off by ignoring your callings. Health disorders This breed requires expert veterinary attention in areas such as birthing and dental care. Chihuahuas are also prone to some genetic anomalies, often neurological ones, such as epilepsy and seizure disorders; and luxating patella.

Pros and cons of sports

On the other hand, you can not be obsessed with sports and strain yourself because there may be serious consequences. The biggest disadvantage of sports are injuries. Most injuries take shorter time to heal whereas other more competitive and professional sports have bigger risks. There are also long-term injuries with repetitive motions in joints, ligaments and muscles. Another aspect is that sporting takes a lot of time. If you are doing professional sports you have to put it first. Therefore, you do not have time for your personal life, friends, family and it even can affect studies. And having so much pressure you may have a depression In conclusion it can be said that doing sports is rather good and everybody should move themselves a little but people who do sports have to always remember not to take it too seriously otherwise it might hurt themselves.

Having a job while studying

benefit your greatly in many ways. Some people just cannot keep that up, but if one would think again, not everyone is made the same. However as mentioned, nothing is all good. Working while studying causes irregularities in many students' lives. Lack of sleep, stress and missed classes is not a nice combination for a good life. Trying to find spare time to relax is very difficult. Humans are ,,programmed" to value work over studies therefore students might skip homework and get worse results in school which causes even more stress and extra work for the student. In brief words, working while having a job is not for the weak. The thought of earning money while studying might sound wonderful and motivating, but it is more difficult than it seems. The positive experiences may overweigh the negative oens, depending on your job and how much one can do

Argumentative presentation: Estonia does need a nuclear power station

The question arises : "Where will the future generations get the energy that they need?". First of all, in the current year, the power consumption reached the highest of all tomes in February. Most of the energy shortage was covered by energy brought from Lithuania. Energy was produced there from gas imported from Russia. That is not a reliable source of energy that can scale. In addition, Estonia does not have an adequate electricity grid network with neighboring countries. Therefore, there are no means to cover local demand with the current resources. Second of all, the problem with most renewables is that it does not scale well. Furthermore they do not have constant output sources of energy. They only supplement the existing systems. The biggest problem is the the increasing cost, if the most optimal places are taken. There are problems with using nuclear energy. For example, nuclear proliferation, plant

Living in the countryside – a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship?

Countryside living spaces are usually less polluted, the pace of life is slower and people are more in touch with nature. Still, there is less entertainment than in cities, distances are longer and it can take much more time to get medical help if needed. Moving from city to country has been the traditional path for those in their 30s and 40s, particularly if children are involved. Nowadays flat rates in cities can be more expensive than living in a house in the countryside. Therefore, living in the countryside can be more affordable. In addition, the countryside is generally quiet and peaceful without the toxic polluted water and air. Some people prefer to live in the country for ecological reasons. For example, eating home- grown or locally grown food may easily become a part of lifestyle. Some people even raise their own animals. Accordingly, because cars are not idling in traffic there is less smog. However, there are some negative aspects of living in the rural area

Do you consider yourself more functionalist or more conflict theorist?

but in my opinion that sounds quite doubtful. The most problematic part about racism is above all the tension and conflict which comes with it. Seems to me, that functionalists ignore the negative sides which society has on people. Secondly, I agree that society will always be in conflict because of fighting for limited resources and their rights. I think it is in our human nature to get the best for oneself and therefore in many areas, competition is inevitable. Functionalists act like all parts in society are equal and there is little talk about individualism, which might explain, why they ignore conflict between different groups. People differ from each other financially, mentally and physically and they all want best for themselves which in my opinion leads to competing. For example, human behaviour in functionalism is shown as being shaped by the social system but in spite of most people being

Manners in Estonia

Although they are direct communicators, Estonians temper their directness in order to protect the feelings of all concerned. They are slow to pay compliments and may become suspicious of compliments offered too readily and without sufficient reason. Passive silence is very much part of the communication style. Estonians are not fond of conversational overlap and will not think highly of someone who interrupts them while they are speaking. Estonians value their good reputations. Therefore, be careful not to criticize or embarrass anyone publicly. Business Meeting Etiquette Meetings generally begin with a welcoming speech from the most senior Estonian at the meeting. The most senior person from your team should respond with a short speech. It is common to continue meetings over lunch or dinner, although the conversation will tend to be social, rather than business oriented. These seemingly social occasions are an opportunity for your Estonian colleagues to get to

How the right of privacy was viewed in the 1890s and 2010s.

Strange had accsess to some of the sketches and used them for own porposes. The court held that this action is prohibited and invasion to privacy. Case of Yovatt v. Winyard, I J. & W. 394 (1820), where an injunction was granted against making any use of communicating certain recipies for veterinary medicine. The worker had access to his employer's recipies book and copied them. The personal writings and any productions of the intellect are private and is therefore protected. In addition they say that the right to privacy does not prohibit any publication of matter witch is of public or general interest. They emphasized that the scope of this rule covers those persons hwo are not public figures and hwo are dragged into an undesirable publicity. Therefore there is a value in preventing publication not only in the right to publicate. But, the right to privacy does not apply when the court of justice is concerned ofcourse.

Coca-Cola roll rahvusvahelises majanduspoliitikas

It manages six operating segments in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, North America and Asia. These segments primarily manufacture and sell beverage concentrates and syrups. The biggest segment is North America, accounting for nearly 30% of revenue (World of Coca-Cola). Role in IPE Coca-Cola's role in international political economy is undoubtedly very great. There are not too many beverage companies that can compete with Coca-Cola and therefore it has the ruling position on international level of beverage companies. Coca-Cola company has a great power to change many factors that are important in the beverage industry. This means that in today's globalized world Coca-Cola has a lot of trailblazing work done and to do. For example the introduction of the new renewable and recyclable plastic bottle in 2009 which made many similar companies to follow the lead because the health of the planet is important to many
