During an inspection, Jane accidentally breaks her slate, and Mr. Brocklehurst, the self-righteous clergyman who runs the school, brands her as a liar and shames her before the entire assembly. Jane is comforted by her friend, Helen Burns. Miss Temple, a caring teacher, facilitates Jane's self-defense and writes to Mr. Lloyd whose reply agrees with Jane's. Ultimately, Jane is publicly cleared of Mr. Brocklehurst's accusations. Jane mistakes Mr. Rochester for a Gytrash. Internet. From the student answers, we found out that in the 11. grade there is a small amount of people, who never read the summaries of the books. Most of the students fairly read them, but there is still a lot of those, who always read the summary. The questionnaire revealed, that many students think that there is too much reading material, because the books are too substantial or there is too little time to read them. Also we found out how the teacher covers the subjects of matter given in the book. 6 students told, that teacher covers the subjects thoroughly, 15 students said that it was quite thoroughly, 2 answers said that, it could be better and only one pupil claimed that the teacher doesn't cover any of the subject matters. Very many students thought, that the reading material was somehow related to the boiling problems of nowadays. It means that we are reading books that give us a lot of thinking substance.

up with their own idea. Some examples are raising money to donate to a charity, creating an anthology of short stories to be bound and published, starting a website, writing and recording an original song, and patenting a new idea. Because of the amount of coordination required for each project, both successes and failures would inevitably spring up along the way, giving the children a meaningful experience of what it is like to work on a real-world project. The teacher would have an important role, psychologically coaching the kids through the highs and lows of the project and facilitating discussions to make them work better together and motivate themselves. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or else they could leave to work on their current project, read, or pursue

Bullying

Bullying I hadn't faced the real bullying, I think I have really carried only some smaller bullying casts. I don't even know what to talk about. But well, we all make mistakes, sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller. I'm going to talk about a short story about bullying in my childhood in my other school. We had a really great class and almost everybody held together. But like in almost every class, there is someone different from others and that may cause them problems with the other people. We had very many these classmates who were a little bit bullied and couldn't stand for themselves. There was a girl, who wasn't very thin and that's the main purpose she was bullied. She wasn't very rich also and she lived only with her mother. The boys of our class called her "fat" and so on. She did a face like she didn't care but I know that she really did and it hurt her. I and some other of my friends ...

Online music magazines

Online music magazines Making Music report: More playing, but progression is limited and class remains an issue Article by Alex Stevens This article taks about the playing of instruments among the children of UK. Based on the learner-teacher surveys made in 1993, 1996 and 1996 the playing of music instruments among children has increased by 35% since 1999 a new study has found, although issues of access, progression and class remain. More children aged 5-14 say that the 'know how to play' an instrument than in 1999. This suggests that programmes such as Wilder Opportunities have had an effect on the breadth of music-making in the UK. However the aricle suggests that there are still barriers like financial opportunities – the cost of instruments and lessons, then of course the lack of parental support and students not being interested. Of children that...

I had the oppurtunity to choose my subjects and one of them was French. I was really exited, beacause learning French has been my dream for years and now I can make my dream come true. I have to admit that learning French is really difficult at first, but I hope that in the future it will be easier. The teacher is very hortative and always praise and for me it is really important. It is always a pleasure to go to his lesson and it is pleasure to learn. To sum up, I have learned languages quite a long time and I hope that it will last. Should a mosque be built in Tallinn?

Should a mosque be built in Tallinn? Dear classmates and teacher, Today I want to talk to you about a topic that has brought with it a great deal of controversy in recent years. Namely, should the construction of a mosque in Tallinn be permitted? Estonians often like to pride themselves for being more tolerant and open-minded than those from other post-soviet nations. This sort of a progressive mindset, however, rarely extends to the principles of religious freedom. But why? Why are so many people

I even went to great lengths to find perfect wedding dress before i started to look for the perfect man. So one day i desided to get a degree and for this reason i went to university. I went in for a class and to start with the teacher there was very beautiful. I was used to doing faces to handsome guys but now that he was my teatcher,he got very upset. He said that i was getting on his nerves whenever i made my stupid face. After a while he got the hang of that i was into him and finally he asked me out. We got on very well while we were out on a date. After a year i went by his office and i saw him with the ring if i havent been there at that time i would have never knew what he was planning to do

Now I ask, would you get wiser and improve your knowledge by learning from your mistakes, as to understand where have you gone wrong or would you be the one that thinks there's only one right choice and one answer to all dilemmas. At this very moment i'm writing this essay thinking will I get a polished grade or will my teacher give me an inadequate grade so I can improve my writing and debating skills for the better. So I would state, we find out more from our mistakes rather from our accomplishments.

The History of Flag Day

BJ Cigrand, a schoolteacher, arranged for the pupils in the Fredonia, Wisconsin Public School, District 6, to observe June 14 (the 108th anniversary of the official adoption of The Stars and Stripes) as 'Flag Birthday'. In numerous magazines and newspaper articles and public addresses over the following years, Cigrand continued to enthusiastically advocate the observance of June 14 as 'Flag Birthday', or 'Flag Day'. On June 14, 1889, George Balch, a kindergarten teacher in New York City, planned appropriate ceremonies for the children of his school, and his idea of observing Flag Day was later adopted by the State Board of Education of New York. On June 14, 1891, the Betsy Ross House in Philadelphia held a Flag Day celebration, and on June 14 of the following year, the New York Society of the Sons of the Revolution, celebrated Flag Day. I had to choose besides english one more mandatory language. I chose German. Since the beginning there has been about three or four german lessons and i have realized that german is quite similiar with english and in my opininion that makes learning much more easier. I also like the lecturer Mr. Berestovski. I have never met a teacher like him, he is a very smart man, in every lesson he speaks about some interesting and useful facts and a lot of jokes that have almost nothing to do with german language but just that is the thing that makes his lessons so enthralling. And for that matter I really look forward to every his lessons. To sum up, I have learned the languages quite a lot of time of my life. And till now I have had a contact with four different languages. I hope that this is not the end, i always look

My Magna Carta.

have conflicts with their classmates, friends or even family. I have my own experience on bullying. I got bullied for about 4 years, until I changed school. I had a lot of mental break-downs, I used to think about suicide, I used to self-harm (just that one time), I cried myself to sleep several nights. The wors thing I did, was that I kept the most of things inside me. I didn't say anyone what was happening to me. The most important thing is to tell maybe your best friend, or mom, or teacher what's going on and I'm sure they can help. But also it has one consequence what would probably last for their entire life: because of the bullying in the past, they might have low self-esteem. That makes them think about everything they do. They're insecure and they think that something is wrong with the way they act or look all the time. People need to stop bulling to make the world a better place. The second thing I would do is lessen homework

She also loves listening to rock music, which is what we bonded over. Also, she is a great artist if she has the time and patience. Her over analyzing makes her a slow drawer. I love Kati with all my heart. She is the best friend anyone could ever have. Whenever I need her I can call her and she's there for me. Although she might want to portrait a pessimistic person, all her advice is always very positive. I know she will be a great teacher one day. 4. Letter to a friend Dear Helena, I am writing to you, because you asked about my favourite TV-programme and I'm very happy to reply. The programme I'm most fond of is Supernatural. It's a Canadian based American TV-show. It's pretty amazing as it's about to start it's 9th season. I love it because it used to be very scary and now as I have grown older, so has the show. The show is about two brothers who drive around the continental USA. They hunt supernatural

To Be Human Is To Discuss

To Be Human Is To Discuss Why My Speech Is So Short Most of the students complain about their timetable. Usually they are just fine, but the grass is always greener somewhere else, am I right? But for me and my class, it's a different story. The grass really is greener anywhere else, actually. Why do we go to school? Do we actually want to learn? I think not. Maybe on some level, until fourth grade or something like that, but most of us are in high school to get good grades, so that parents don't kick us out and still give us food and shelter. How to motivate ourselves to come here every single morning and really study, not just sit with your phone out and watch videos or do something not related to studying to keep from dying of boredom? I think that the main reason students skip class is that they just don't want to sit around for 45 minutes. Another re...

Nali: The World According to Student Bloopers

25/11/2012 22:54 The World According to Student Bloopers Richard Lederer St. Paul's School One of the fringe benefits of being an English or History teacher is receiving the occasional jewel of a student blooper in an essay. Read carefully, and you will learn a lot. The inhabitants of Egypt were called mummies. They lived in the Sarah Dessert and traveled by Camelot. The
