About myself

My early years which I remember badly, were typical of a child living in a town. I was born in a family of a teacher and a doctor. I was sent to a kindergarten at the age of three as both the parents were working. As all the children of Belarus I went to school at the age of six. Here I should say that it was my lucky chance to study for 11 years at the school of fine arts in the town of Molodechno . it turned out to be the best school in our town. There I got a proper training in such subjects as English, Russian and Belarusian literature and world culture. I usually did a lot of home preparation for them and I liked everything I was doing in them. I really tried hard in them. But despite my efforts I was not good at Math. School for me was not only lessons and learning I had a lot of friends there. We organized extra class activities such as parties and other social activities. I actively participated in most of them.

Marketing is usually focused on one product or service. Thus, a marketing plan for one product might be very different than that for another product. Marketing activities include "inbound marketing," such as market research to find out, for example, what groups of potential customers exist, what their needs are, which of those needs you can meet, how you should meet them, etc. Inbound marketing also includes analyzing the competition, positioning your new product or service (finding your market niche), and pricing your products and services. "Outbound marketing" includes promoting a product through continued advertising, promotions, public relations and sales.

FOLKLORE

t b ot elief Sometimes "folklore" is religious in nature, like the tales of the Welsh Mabinogion or those found in Icelandic skaldic poetry. Many of the tales in the Golden Legend of Jacob de Voragine also embody folklore elements in a Christian context, as well as the tales of Old Mr. Brennan. Examples of such Christian mythology are the themes woven round Saint George or Saint Christopher. In this case, the term "folklore" is being used in a pejorative sense. That is, while the tales of Odin the Wanderer have a religious value to the Norse who composed the stories, because it does not fit into a Christian configuration it is not considered "religious" by Christians who may instead refer to it as "folklore." species like the destruction of habitats and natural resources often contribute to poverty." So with protecting the threatened species, poverty can be reduced. For example, according to the report of World Wildlife Fund, some ecotourism projects based on the observation of species in the wild-such as marine turtles, pandas and mountain gorillas in the wild -generate significant amounts of money for communities. Applying knowledge of species' movements in and across habitats can help implement such sustainable land- use planning. Only with that one fact there is proof that protecting endangered species can help reduce poverty in many places of the world. When we read the World Wildlife Fund report even further, there are more significant things that have happened and been useful to poor areas in the world, for instance, in the Indian village of Farida, a World Wildlife Fund awareness-raising program aimed at conserving the rare Ganges river

involvement in district-heating business abroad. The paper is based on a report called "District Heating in Europe: Barriers to overcome for Swedish export" , which was prepared for The Swedish District Heating Association. The losses by energy conversion in Europe are of the same magnitude as the European heat demand and consist mainly of heat that is wasted by electricity generation . District heating is a means to utilise such surplus heat to cover heat demand. District heating can utilise the heat from electricity generation in combined heat and power (CHP) plants. District heating can also use other heat sources that are difficult to use for individual buildings, such as unrefined biomass fuels, heat from waste incineration and industrial surplus heat. The latter may, for example, be a by-product from production of automotive biofuel. District heating can provide cheap energy to consumers by using low-cost energy

Priests, deacons and lay ministers cooperate and assist their bishop(s) in shepherding a flock. Vicar/ priest is a representative, deputy or substitute; anyone acting "in the person of" or agent for a superior (compare "vicarious" in the sense of "at second hand"). Linguistically, vicar is cognate with the English prefix "vice", similarly meaning "deputy". Minister In Christianity, a minister is someone who is authorized by a church, or other religious organization, to perform functions such as teaching of beliefs; leading services such as weddings, baptisms or funerals; or otherwise providing spiritual guidance to the community. The term is taken from Latin minister ("servant", "attendant"), which itself was derived from minus ("less").[1] In Catholic churches, the concept of a priesthood is emphasised. Money

Hardly a day goes by without the subject of money being raised in most people's lives. Everyone uses money. We all want it, work for it and think about it. If you don't know what money is, you are not like most humans. Most people don't spend much time wondering what money is, their major concern is how much they have, and how to get more. However, it is highly debatable whether it is more important than other considerations, such as health and happiness, which some people consider to be of greater significance. We use money every day to pay for things we buy. We can pay with either coins or paper. This sort of money is known as cash. But there is also another kind of money, like checks, credit cards and so on. The idea of having such thing as money is one of the most best developed by man. I think many people do not know where this idea came from, and why money is valuable. As I know

Environmental problems (Keskkonnaprobleemid)

Environmental problems Nimi Klass Biodiversity The variety of life on Earth, its biological diversity, is commonly referred to as biodiversity. The number of species of plants, animals, and microorganisms, the enormous diversity of genes in these species, the different ecosystems on the planet, such as deserts, rainforests and coral reefs are all part of a biologically diverse Earth. Appropriate conservation and sustainable development strategies attempt to recognize this as being integral to any approach. In some way or form, almost all cultures have recognized the importance of nature and its biological diversity for their societies and have therefore understood the need to maintain it. Yet, power, greed and politics have affected the precarious balance.

The film itself was very sad and involved two complitely different sides of life love and pain it costs. First the film fooled me and gave me a reason to believe that there is really love, that makes people happy. True, there is such thing as true love, but does it always makes us happy? And if it makes, than for how long? Actors did a really good job, their eye and body language revealed happiness, trust, love and desire. The couple tried to work it out, when John went back to the military, but next to the distance was another important aspect time. When the time passed, both lives moved on and in both lives happened a lot. Then the film

What is integrated care?

What we now refer to as `integrated care' is an umbrella term, encompassing diverse initiatives that seek to address fragmentation, but that differ in underlying scope and values (Stein and Reider, 2009). From 1997 to 2010, the Labour Government emphasised a need for greater integration as part of the drive for improved quality, efficiency and patient outcomes. Initiatives such as `integrated care pathways', `patient-centred care' and `shared decision-making' are examples of attempts to align clinical, managerial and service user interests, and to improve coordination of care for patients, in particular those with long-term conditions. New forms of health care organisation such as care trusts (Glasby and Peck, 2005), managed clinical networks (Woods, 2001), accountable care organisations in the US

Topic - Canada

The population of Canada is about 31 million people. About 77% of the people live in cities which lie in a band about 100 miles wide above the border of the United States. The capital of Canada is Ottawa. Other large cities are Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Quebec. Canada has two official languages English and French. It's interesting to know that about 61% of Canadians name English and 24% French their mother tongue. There are also many other languages spoken in Canada such as: Italian, Chinese, German, Polish, Ukrainian, Greek and Dutch. There are also many native languages such as Algonquian. The British and the French as the main settlers from Europe fought for hundreds of years before they managed to build up a country which was based on recognizing the cultural diversity of different nations in Canada. All the communities living in the country are encouraged to remember their origins and hold their own ethnic events and national festivals

To increase the safety and damage survivability of a vessel, the machinery necessary for operations may be segregated into various spaces. The engine room is one of these spaces, and is generally the largest physical compartment of the machinery space. The engine room houses the vessel's prime mover, usually some variations of a heat engine - diesel engine, gas or steam turbine. On some ships, the machinery space may comprise more than one engine room, such as forward and aft, or port or starboard engine rooms, or may be simply numbered. 1.1)Main engine The engine room of a motor vessel typically contains several engines for different purposes. Main, or propulsion engines are used to turn the ship's propeller and move the ship through the water. They typically burn diesel oil or heavy fuel oil, and may be able to switch between the two. There are many propulsion arrangements for motor vessels, some including multiple

Linguistic style Linguistic style is a variety of language with its peculiar vocabulary, phraseology, grammatical, phonetic features that are used selectively and purposefully to express ideas in a given situation. Linguostylistics or linguistic stylistics Studies linguistic facts from the point of view of the ability to convey additional shades of meaning. Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland, although Edinburgh is the capital and political centre of the country. An abundance of natural resources such as coal, iron and zinc contributed significantly to the industrial growth of Scotland during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, energy is a major component of Scotland's economy. Whilst Scotland is the largest producer of petroleum in the European Union, the production potential of renewable energy has emerged as an important economic and environmental issue in recent years. If a person be insensitive, be it from numbing cold, exhaustion, drugs, genetic makeup, or upbringing, then the process of education is bogged down, and results come only after great efforts. Sensitivity in my integrated meaning is broad, covering literally the senses, so that deaf and blind people are less sensitive, as well as people whose senses work perfectly, but whose receptivity or thought processes are blunted for whatever reason. A person can be insensitive in one way, such as blind, and extraordinarily sensitive in another way, such as in hearing. It is also possible to be so ultra-sensitive that the result is disadvantageous. I expect no argument in asserting that a normal sensitivity is a healthy, indispensable ingredient for optimal education. Sensitivity can be heightened or blunted by education. It is intertwined with curiosity. An ideal education affords numerous and varied opportunities for students to touch, see, smell,

Tolerance and Diversity

They don't have stereotypes of people built in their mind. In addition they are not influenced by elder's opinions. Elder people do not agree with the fact that their daughter or son might get married to a representative of another race. However young people would say that love is blind and so is friendship. Diversity is related to tolerance. Countries with rich diversity also do not have a tolerance problem. However, small countries with only one or two nationalities can be the centre of such problem. The people in these countries do not have any experiences with other origin folk, because they aren't accustomed to it. When they see, for example, a black-skinned person they start whispering. The situation may be uncomfortable for a dark-skinned people. However, people who are being brought up in countries with wide diversity, are much more tolerant than people who are not. For a year now I have been working as a babysitter for a family with two children (13-year- old boy and 5-year-old girl). I love working with children, especially with them, no matter what age. It is fun to watch them with happy faces doing something they like. I want to work in Ireland to get more experience. In the future I could see myself as an arts teacher in a school. Although I have some questions about it, such as could you tell me more about the place where the summer camp is. I would also like to know about time and salary, also what I would have to do there. I look foward to hearing from you again. Yours sincerely, Mari Mets Task 2 ESSAY Write an essay on the topic Books Today and Tomorrow. In your essay, discuss the following aspects: · Do people read less today than in the past? Why? · Will people read less in the future? · Why is it important to read books?

Islam

The schism developed in the late 7th century following disagreements over the religious and political leadership of the Muslim community. Roughly 85 percent of Muslims are Sunni and 15 percent are Shi'a. Islam is the predominant religion throughout the Middle East, as well as in parts of Africa and Asia. Large communities are also found in China, the Balkan Peninsula in Eastern Europe and Russia. There are also large Muslim immigrant communities in other parts of the world such as Western Europe. About 20 percent of Muslims live in Arab countries. Etymology and meaning The word Islm, from the triliteral root slm, is derived from the Arabic verb Aslama, which means "to accept, surrender or submit." Thus, Islam means acceptance of and submission to God, and believers must demonstrate this by worshiping him, following his commands, and avoiding polytheism. The word is given a number of meanings in the Qur'an. In some verses

Referencing style, kuidas kirjandites autoritele viidata

If a reference list includes publications by two or more authors with the same surname, then give the initials of these authors in the text citations to avoid confusion [e.g. P. Smith 2000]. Give multiple citations chronologically, e.g. (Skinner 1968, 1970, 1972a, 1972b, 1974) and (Jones, 1970; Smith, 1972, Hartley, 1974). Make citations of a particular page, figure, table etc. at the appropriate point in the text rather than in the reference list. Such a precise indication helps the reader locate this material more easily. When such citations are made in parentheses, use 1 commas and not brackets to set the date e.g. (Skinner, 1972, Ch. 5) and (Hunt, 1977, pp251-253). The purpose of the reference list is to allow readers to locate the original material. It is important to include the following items of information (continued on next page):

a genealogy, "Origin of the musical Bach family". Bach's mother died in 1694, and his father eight months later. The 10-year-old orphan moved in with his oldest brother, Johann Christoph Bach (16711721), the organist at the Michaeliskirche in nearby Ohrdruf. There, he copied, studied and performed music, and apparently received valuable teaching from his brother, who instructed him on the clavichord. J.C. Bach exposed him to the works of the great South German composers of the day, such as Johann Pachelbel (under whom Johann Christoph had studied) and Johann Jakob Froberger; possibly to the music of North German composers; to Frenchmen, such as Jean-Baptiste Lully, Louis Marchand, Marin Marais; and to the Italian clavierist Girolamo Frescobaldi. The young Bach probably witnessed and assisted in the maintenance of the organ music. Bach's obituary indicates that he copied music out of Johann

Fishery resources Capture fisheries resources are highly diverse. FAO landing statistics refer to about 2 500 species or group of species most of which are finfish. By far the most numerous fish species, and those most important to aquaculture and fisheries, are teleosts, or bony fish, which in the sea extend from small "grazing" species such as anchovy to large active predatory fish such as tuna. A similarly wide range is also found in freshwater, with the most important species from a production point of view belonging to the carp family. These account for over half the total of inland waters fisheries production. Marine capture fisheries resources are usually considered close to full exploitation worldwide with about half of them fully exploited, one quarter over exploited, depleted or recovering from depletion and one quarter only with some capacity to produce more than

New Guinea (inglise keeles)

............................................................10 2 Introduction If you were asked to show on a world map the regions with the most biodiversity, your finger would probably end up pointing at the Amazon, the Congo Basin or the island of Borneo. But I chose New Guinea, an island that represents no more than 1% of the world's landmass, an array of extraordinary animals and plants have also flourished, such as tree kangaroos and birds of paradise. Close to 10% of the world's vertebrates are concentrated here, while 7% of the world's higher (vascular) plants grow on the island's productive soils. 3 Geography Papua New Guinea consists of over 600 islands and lies in the middle of the long chain of islands stretching from mainland South-East Asia. The mainland and larger islands are mountainous and rugged, divided by large fertile upland valleys

Drugs and how they affect your health.

Teens who smoke were 6 times more likely to get agoraphobia. And, teen smokers were 15 times more likely to have panic attacks than teens who did not smoke. Scientists think the reason is that nicotine hurts blood vessels to the brain, and also blocks air from the lungs. Whatever the reason, teen smokers are more likely to have panic attacks, anxiety disorders, and depression. Illegal Drugs When people talk about the "drug problem," they usually mean abusing legal drugs or using illegal drugs, such as marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine, LSD, crystal meth and heroin. Cocaine is a white powder that comes from the dried leaves of the coca plant that is found in South America. Crack cocaine is a form of the drug that gives a very quick, intense high. Crack is made by cooking cocaine powder with baking soda, then breaking it into small pieces called rocks. It got its name because it crackles when it is heated and smoked.
