Choices after secondary school

Choices after secondary school There are lots of choices after secondary school. The main question is, which is better to do - to work or go to university. Both options give many advantages. Firstly, many young people couldn't choose the subject that they are likely to learn. Working can show if there are any of professions you're good at, as it will improve your interest in certain occupations. On the other hand, it is better not to let years between studies. Researches have shown that students, who have worked for few years after secondary school, can't concentrate on their lessons as much as those whose first choice was university. Thirdly, novadays students more often are facing financial problems. Lots of them are thinking

Report 2, English

To: John Howell From: Anna Abi Subject: Suggestions Date: 2nd March 2009 Purpose The purpose of this report is to suggest ways of making the shop more profitable. Rewards cards Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to start giving out rewards cards to loyal customers to show them that we value them as clients and it would also show to our future clients that we are a company that supports their customers. Lower prices Secondly, I would suggest slightly lowering our prices and letting the public know of it. We should grow a reputation as a company that is not trying to rob their clients of their money. This would be a great advertisement for the shop and would boost our clientele, making up for the little lost from the lower prices. Advertising campaigns Finally, we should start an advertising campaign. We should invest a good sum of money into it as without people hearing about our shop, we cannot grow. A good idea would be to th...

Essay: What Makes a Good Teacher

As everybody knows, being a teacher requires different qualities that many people do not have. It is commonly accepted that teaching is often extremely difficult and stressful because pupils can sometimes give the tutor a hard time. Only the tough ones survive. I reckon it all comes down to the circumstance whether the teacher loves her job or does she do it just for the salary. If she only does it for money, the children will not take her seriously. She should also have a vast knowledge of her subject. Otherwise, it is really difficult for the attentive and eager pupils to get answers to their questions.Another important quality is humour. I believe that helps to make picking up knowledge much easier and more fun. Children always prefer teachers with a good sense of humour. However, tutors should be a litte strict otherwise the class will not behave. Furthermore, the relationship between a student and a tutor should be formal but friendly.

Report on the students` exercise preference

To: Mr Jones, sports centre manager From: Mari Mets Subject: Report on the students' exercise preferences Date: 3rd April 2017 Introduction The aim of this report is to describe the changes in the students' exercise preferences, speculate on the reasons for the shifts and make recommendations for the sports centre on which facilities and training opportunities to include in the future. Female students Yoga and Pilates have remained the most popular exercise routines among the young women, who are acquiring education. From 2010 to 2015, the percentage of female students, who chose one of these two training programs, stayed at 45%. The reason for the lack of shift might be that the interests of the young women, who are acquiring education and practicing yoga or Pilates, have not changed. Male students Weightlifting has remained the most popular exercise routine among the young men, who are acquiring education. From 2010 to 2015, the pe...

Not everyone is suitable for military and some men couldn`t manage that pressure. Yet, in democratic countries people should have a chance to choose their destiny by themselves and army restrics our freedom. Besides, the young men are isolated from real world and being away from family and friends could affect their lives. In addition, young people are putting their lives at risk despite the fact that everything seems to be safe. Military service has always been an important subject. This is important for the country and could give good effect to men lives. However, military service is not for everyone and there are also arguments against it.

Report about Steffani Pizza Restaurant

In order to prepare this report I handed out to their recent customers questionnaires in order to get the most recent data. Good points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant Firstly, I have to point out that the customers are very satisfied with the prices and they are probably willing to pay higher prices, if Steffani wants to raise the prices. There is something specail about the atmosphere, because my research show that people spend there about two times more than in other eating places in Pärnu. Secondly, I have to mention that the food is quite delicious. Bad points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant The biggest problem with Steffani seems to be their workers. Actually they are in despe...

Food and prices Despite the fact that there is not a wide variety of dishes to choose from, the food is well-cooked and looks beautiful. The prices of food are resonable. What is more the drinks were cheap. Service The staff was friendly and helpful they can make very helpful suggestions about the menu. However, the service is a bit slow at times, especially at the lunch hours. Atmosphere The restaurant has a friendly relaxed atmosphere. You can not help but be in a good mood while you are there, because of the cheerful music. However the music is too loud sometimes, so you cant hear the waitresses. some field, then I really have to educate myself in that filed. When my friends have characterised me then they have mainly mentioned that I am an active person, who has been successful in different fields. I still do not think I am succesful because it is a really complicated definition, but I know that I have succeeded in doing several things. For me the key is my so called success has been that when dealing with a particular thing I have tried to delve into the subject as deep as possible. Firstly, when we are talking about success and asking the question who is a succesful person, we have to understand that success means various things for different persons. The main question is what makes a human being happy? In my opinion, as a person claims that he is happy, then we can firmly say that this person is successful in life because he feels content with his life. Contentedness and happiness are the key factors in determing how succesful someone is.

Report - how to make buildings more crime-proof

To: The Crime Prevention Officer From: - Date: 28 October 2010 Subject: Increase in crimes Introduction The purpose of this report is to suggest reasons why criminals target the area and give some advice on how to make buildings more crime-proof. 1 Inveiglement Firstly, people keep their valuable items in the visible places like on the window sill and that entices the criminals. Recommendation: Valuable items should be put away, where it is impossible to see them from the window. 2 Security systems Another thing to mention is that people do not give much attention to the security of their houses. That decreases dread of being caught and criminals are getting more and more impudent. Recommendation: Security systems and security cameras should be installed in the buildings. That increases the chance that the criminals will be caught or they dare not to commit the crime. 3 Dogs Finally, burglars can easily hide themselves behind the ...

The results of the opinion poll are presented below. Pollution General situation at Poku is satisfactory as the level of water and noise pollution is rather low as there are no big industrial enterprises in the vicinity. Problematic areas are air and litter pollution as many tourists visit the place leaving behind exhaust gases and rubbish on the ground. Wildlife In the forests near Poku there is comparatively rich in wildlife. The only problem seems to be cutting trees which may leave the local animals without their usual habitat. Recycling Recycling of paper and glass is very well organised in the area of Poku. More problema...

Report to the shop manager

To: Walter White, Manager From: Rick Grimes Subject: Suggested improvements to make the shop more profitable Date: 3rd December 2012 Purpose: The purpose of this report is to make recommendations on how to improve the shop and make it more profitable. Discounts: Firstly, one suggestion would be to make several discounts on popural products. For example, reducing the price of a popural item by about 15 percent would really pay off. Also if a customer buys two same items, he gets the third one for free. This would certainly be profitable and I am confident that more people would visit your shop. Extra shop assistants: Lastly, I think that hiring an extra two or three shop assistants would be a very good idea too. Then customers would have to wait less to pay for their items and the shop could service a lot more customers than before. Bonuses for regular customers: Secondly, I think that regular customers who have been visting your shop f...

Global warming and natural disasters

Scientists are aware that the Earth is getting warmer and they are trying to make things better, also more information is given out so that people can be ready for serious disasters. One good thing is that developed countries are willing to help countries that survive earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters. To sum up, we cannot avoid global warming or natural disasters, but we can be prepared if the information is given out. This subject is really important and should be discussed more. To make the situation better everybody should think about this and try to figure out what they can do.

I really like the metafors he used to compare every day life and problems. If he said that people are blind, he ment that people are dumb and havent learned things that life offers them. It is really amazing how Plato guessed so many years ago, what the future will bring. People havent changed, society and things around people have changed. Really great way to tell how

There should be no compulsory school subjects

Students should be allowed to choose subjects they want to study. In school students do not want to learn some subjects, still they have to do it. Some lessons may not like for pupils. For example, students have to learn foreign languages, be in a choir or do psychical educaion even if they do not like it at all. However, should there be compulsory subjects or should there be not? On the one hand, students do not work hard if they are not interested in the subject. Then they just waste their time doing nothing important. Also, if there are the subjects the student wants then there is no more undone homework, distracting or undiscipline. Furthermore, there are many students together wanting to learn the same thing and the associate of them is better. On the other hand some students might only choose easy and few subjects. We have a break after every 45 minutes for 10 minutes and we have two breaks that are 20 minutes long. During the break we study for the next lesson or just chat with other classmates. I feel very safe in our school, I think everybody is responsible because all of us can contribute in discipline and make our school a better and safer place to learn at. My favorite subject is math because our teacher teaches us very good and I almost understand almost. Usually I do my homework for 2 or 3 hours and I think it's quite a long time for me to prepare for lessons. Suggested improvements to shop

To: Clara Philipp From: .................. Subject: Suggested improvements to shop Date: 1st April 2011 Introduction The purpose of this report is to make recommendations for possible improvements in the shop. Advertising To begin with, it would be a good idea to think about buying advertising space on local television stations or radio stations. Moreover, we should distribute flyers around our local community, newspaper inserts or on community bulletin boards. In this way the public knows that our shop exists and we will have larger circle of customers. Online Store Secondly, I believe we can also expand our shop by opening up an online store. Albeit a large number of consumers like to shop locally, there is still many, who also prefer shopping online, especially when they are looking for something in particular or something that is hard to find. As a result, having an online store, will increase shop chances of making profit. Versati...

In general there are two types of stress: negative stress and positive stress. First type is the positive stress. It is very important in our life. Positive stress gives you the energy to throw yourself into something what you want to do very well. For example, approximation for exams. Furthermore, quite popular was rock music, so we should consider including this genre in to our music festival, but the biggest problem with rock bands is that they have a lot of different musical instruments so we should consider building bigger stage. According to our questioning that we handed out to our gymnasium classes three most popular genres were dance, rock and also pop. The percentages as seen from the table were 29%, 24% and 31%. ...

Proposal report

Subject: Proposal concerning the new shopping center Date: November 11, 2013 Introduction The purpose of this proposal is to give insight into the residents' committee's opinions regarding the new shopping center. Reasons it should be built The resident's committee has concluded that the new shopping center would be useful for people in our town as it would give them more choice in where to shop. Also, since there are no any decent sized shopping centers nor malls nearby, the new one would make people's lives easier since they would not have to drive as far out of the town as they are used to at the moment. Stores the shopping center should contain The shopping center should most importantly contain a big grocery store where people could buy their everyday food and drinks. Clothing stores would also be very useful as there are not many around this town. Lastly, we would propose electronics and free time stores and sporting goods store...

Komad inglise keeles

John said without emotion, "I'll see you tomorrow." "I was able," she answered, "to complete the assignment." In 1848, Marx wrote, "Workers of the world, unite!" 11. Use commas wherever necessary to prevent possible confusion or misreading. To George,Harrison had been a sort of idol. Comma Abuse Commas in the wrong places can break a sentence into illogical segments or confuse readers with unnecessary and unexpected pauses. 12.

Võrgus on aja jooksul välja kujunenud terve hulk reegleid, millest iga interneti kasutaja peaks kinni pidama - sellega austate te teisi kasutajaid. Netikett on lühend sõnadest Internet ja etikett, seega netikett tähendab Interneti käitumisjuhiseid. Nagu Internet ise, muutub ka netikett kiiresti, kuid selle aluseks on ikkagi Kuldreegel ("Ära tee teistele seda, mida sa ei taha, et sinule tehtaks!). Vajadus netiketi järgi ilmneb eelkõige e-posti, uudisgruppide ja jutut...

English Parliament

Mikk Hödemann 12.d klass English Parliament What can I say about the English history at all? I think that this is the most interesting history I had to study. During this subject (British civilization), I discovered some exciting facts, occasions which took place in the British history. One of these "discoveries" was the English Parliament. I was amazed how fast it grew within the centuries, from eleventh to seventeenth centuries. The political history of British Isles over the past 800 years has been largely one of reducing the power of the monarchy and transferring authority to a London-based Parliament as the sovereign legislative body for all of Britain

Reasons of and solutions to truancy

School is just a chore for them and they do not see the point in it. If school were made a little more interesting, then maybe there would be a little less truancy. Some truant students are even addicted to the joys of being truant. Some of them are just too tired to go to school or have something better to do. In addition many students also miss class because they have not done their homework and do not want to get yelled at. Futhermore, some of them do not like the teacher or the subject is too difficult for them. I think that a good way to reduce truancy is not to leave any homework and to make the tests in any time and nobody would be upset about it(students choose when they take the tests). In my opinion there is acdually no solution to get rid of truancy. There are ways to reduce it but it probably also slow slow down the learning problem. School system should not be so strict. Students should decide themselves when to come to class

The Crucial Problems of the World

To prevent that and much more, what may come in the future, we must think more about the environment and the people and animals, whose living in it. There are many campaigns about the recycling and reproducing, like "Teeme ära" and many others. We have to sort the packages and bottles we buy and help ourselves in that way, because we don't want our children to grow up in pollution and bad environment. We should bring that subject up way more, than we do these days. So help the environment and yourself and let's go green !

Helping the environment

To: Ms Head teacher From: Iti Tomingas-Oras Subject: Helping the environment Date: 6th September Introduction The Pupose of this report is to present my findings about heping the enviroment in our school. I have carried out a survey among the students at Kose Gymnasium. My findings are presented below. Findings The first thing students thought was that our school is using and wasting paper. Theatchers do not use both sides of paper while printing. Secondly the students have noticed that the computers are not always turned off at end of the day. They take a lot of power and waste energy if they are turned on overnight. The tird thing I found out is that our school does not recycle and reuse enouhg which is also bad influence for the environment. Reccomendations Firstly, I would like to suggest to reduce paper. For example send more emails or if the printing is really nessesary use both sided of the paper. Secondly I reccomend tuni...

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia If I were the minister of education in Estonia, I would change many things. Firstly, I would rather spend our money on building schools and purchasing new equipment for teaching, than wasting it on our tough national examinations, because there are a lot of schools that would need a new building. Secondly, English would be taught as a second language at schools. It must be a compulsory subject, because most of the world's population is talking English. I would have all the textbooks revised so that they would be updated with latest happenings and etc. Especially history, because we are learning from textbooks that are missing a lot of information that has been discovered after the book was printed. Also I would change most of the subjects for optional, that students can choose the best subjects for them. I think that the absences wouldn't be so

Report-Suggetions for the shop

To: John Howell From: Merike Aasmäe Subject: Suggetions for the shop Date: 1st May 2012 Purpose The purpose of this report is to recommend ways to make the shop more profitable. Interior Firstly, one suggestion would be to make in your shop some innovations by changing it modern. A visual revamp of your retail shop interior will make your business feel and look brand new, and attract a whole new customer base. The interior design is a very important consideration so you need to give it a big thought. Background music Secondly, I think it would be useful to use background music in the shop. Background music keeps customers comfortable and relaxed. Keeping your employees happy is just as important as doing the same for your customers. Without good employees, you'll never be able to reach the level of sales you need to in order to keep things rolling. Playing background music can take your employees' minds off of wha...

Stress in the lives of young people today

Stress in the lives of young people today A lot of young people nowadays stress about various number of things. Whether it’s grades in school, appearance, relationships or future life in general, they all worry young people and impact their everyday life. One of the biggest stress factors are probably school, grades and future. Often students find themselves lacking knowledge to pass a subject or are too lazy to attend classes at all. This leads to a big amount of stress which they only have themselves to blame for. The best way to avoid this kind of stress would be studying hard and attending all classes. Young people also stress about the future a lot, they’re not sure where to study next or what to study. They’re also not sure whether they’re able to live an independent life or find a decent job. I think the second stress factor in the lives of young people today are
