In the same book, Seamus Heaney also points out that “there is something Yeatsian in the way that Larkin, in High Windows, places his sun poem immediately opposite and in answer to his moon poem”. In Barbara Everett’s study (“Philip Larkin: After Symbolism”) one finds ample evidence for the influence of French symbolism upon Larkin.

My Dreams for the Future

My mom says I should be a computer programmer. So that's probably the most preferred future plan. If I had enough money I would go somewhere warm and forget all my future plans, but until I haven't won a lottery I am trying to finish high school. I will have finished this school by the year 2011. My most desired future job is related to computers. After high school I would like to go to Estonian IT College to study about computers software, so I could work as a computer software developer. I am interested in technology, that's why it would be perfect job for the future. Software developer is a highly paid job so I'm kind of hoping that by the year 2020 I'll be a millionaire. I would like to live in Italy by the time I'm 30. By that time I would like to be married with the world's most beautiful woman. I know that I will have to make great efforts to make my dreams come true, but great

Why I have to learn English ?

Why I have to learn English? English is very important and useful language because a lot of people in the world can speak it. You need English language example when you are traveling and want to talk with local people. You need English also in Estonia when some tourist or other person who is visiting Estonia ask you to help her to find some place or wants to talk with you. You need to learn English when you want to go to some other country to study. It is usual that there are Universities in different countries in the world where is possible to learn in English. I don't know if there is any other university outside Estonia where you can learn in Estonian. You need to learn English when you would like to find new friends outside of Estonia. Today a lot of young people are speaking English and there are good opportunities to relate with people trough like MSN, Skype and Facebook.

Essee Choices after elementary school

Choices after secondary school There are lots of choices after secondary school. The main question is which is better to do - to work or go to university. Both options give many advantages. On the one hand, there are definitely some good sides to going to work. If you could not choose the subject that you would study to learn then it is better to get a job. Working can show if there are any of professions you are good at, as it will arouse your interest in certain occupations. On the other hand, many people know what they want to do with their life after secondary school and therefore going to university is a good idea. After graduating university it is easier to find a job, because you will have a necessary education then. In my opinion, it is better to go to university after high school

Artikli „Why do we need permanent plots in the study of long-term vegetation dynamics?“ By Bakker, J.P., Olff, H., Willems, J.H., Zobel, M. Kokkuvõte Miks on vaja alalisi katselappe pikka aega kestvateks taimekasvu dünaamika uurimisteks? Pikaajaliste katselappide abil uuritakse taimekasvu dünaamikat, järgnevust ja erinevate tegurite mõju pika aja jooksul. Pikaajaliste katselappide pidamine nõuab küllaltki suurt pingutust. Groningeni kohtumise käigus jõuti kokkuleppele, et kümne aastane periood on minimaalne, et katselappi saaks lugeda pikaajaliseks/alaliseks. Probleemiks on see, et paljudes pikaajalistes katselappide uuringutes on sees lüngad. Põlvkondade vahetumise sisemiste ja välimiste põhjuste uurimine.Lisaks sellele mis juhtub põlvkondade vaheldumise käigus tuleb uurida ka miks ja kuidas see juhtub. believe it is a bad idea. First of all, the studio offers a large variety of services that aspiring artists can use. Very few students can allow themselves to have this opportunity and kind of equipment at home. Further more, the instructors in the studio help young promising artists discover and develop their talents. Secondly, the art studio is situated in an excellent place and is open round the clock, which is very convenient for the students as it allows them to relax and study there without going too far away from the school. The venue can also be used to host exhibitions where artists can demonstrate their works of art. Thirdly, I feel that it is my responsibility to let you know, unless the arts department’s decision is changed, a protest will be held. In conclusion, it is vital for our school to have an art studio. It is essential for struggling artists of our school but it also helps to promote the school and attract new prospective students. Benefits of the EU

Benefits of the EU The European Union was formed after the Second World War, because some political leaders believed that it was the only way to avoid conflicts in the future. There are many benefits in the EU, for example the EU has allowed citizen of the European Union to travel freely around Europe and millions EU citizens have moved to other EU country to work or to study. The EU has also given European countries a voice in world affairs. Smaller countries like Estonia and Latvia now can also get a word in world affairs, they are heard. Academic success in my culture

may not have all of the perfect components, but they rise above their difficulties to have success. Whether a student is gifted academically or not, an important factor is personal determination. Students, who invest more of their free time in their studies and make more effort in lectures than their peers, generally have higher levels of academic achievement. A key component to success is a student's work ethic. Students who are willing to put extra hours in to study and prepare for classes and presentations tend to improve their skills and academic abilities. Students, who take less challenging classes or are satisfied with less work, often will have the result of average academic success. As much as teachers, classes and schools are factors in student academic success, parents hold an equally important role. This includes having adult figures, who are positive role models, who value the importance of education as well as providing an appropriate

Johann Straussi iseloomustus

several operettas and a ballet. In his lifetime, he was known as "The Waltz King", and was largely then responsible for the popularity of the waltz in Vienna during the 19th century. Strauss was born in St. Ulrich (now a part of Neubau), the son of Johann Strauss I, another composer of dance music. His father did not wish him to become a composer, but rather a banker; however, the son defied his father's wishes, and went on to study music with the composer Joseph Drechsler and the violin with Anton Kollmann, the ballet répétiteur of the Vienna Court Opera. Strauss had two younger brothers, Josef and Eduard Strauss, who became composers of light music as well, although they were never as well known as their elder brother. Some of Johann Strauss's most famous works include The Blue Danube, KaiserWalzer, Tales from the Vienna Woods, the TritschTratschPolka, and the Pizzicato Polka

There are few people who are able to keep their own beliefs and be not influenced by Henry. He airs his views with such good arguments and power that it is easy to start believing that what he is saying is actually what you yourself want to say. Even if it is not really the case. He can lead the conversation in any way necessary- either it is to make others worry about their age or stop caring about another person's suicide. Convincing others is like a game to him. It amuses him and helps him study human nature that he claims to know so well. The life of Lord Henry is all about one party topping another. You can call him a good people-person. He attends all polite social events for example parties and theatres. He drags his subjects of study with him to expand his influence span. Do young people today learn enough at school to face the world tomorrow

They don`t care of the discipline and pupils` behaviour at all. Probably such school-leavers have only several opportunities for the future to become criminals, join local gangs or to control themselves and to do their best in studies. Such schools may be really named the schools of life because children studying there are forced to grow up earlier than others. Furthermore, present youngsters spend a great deal of their spare time sitting in Internet. They communicate, study and play games in simulated environment of the virtual world. That is the place where young people really get the most information. Internet has the only advantage comparing with schools, information from there never becomes out of date. Thus, we may affirm that youngsters don`t get enough information at ordinary school to face the world tomorrow. They get from there the base, the most information they can need. Then everything is up to themselves.

Classes would be limited to fifteen students, a size small enough to allow individual attention but large enough to furnish the feeling of belonging to a group. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or else they could leave to work on their current project, read, or pursue an independent study of another subject. The students who stayed - the "second halfers" - would be known as the students with the greatest passion for the subject. No grades or competition would exist. Rather, the motivation to work would come from a desire to earn the respect of teachers and fellow students and establish a positive self-identity. Kids would also decide the degree to which they would like to participate. Involvement would be based on interest and the satisfaction of publically

Lomonosovi lapsepõlv - Childhood of Lomonosov

Russian 2nd year translation. Prose. The Childhood of Mikhail Lomonosov The great Russian scholar Mikhail Vasil'evich Lomonosov was born in the beginning of the eighteenth century in a little village near the White Sea. His father was a fisherman and he often took his son with him when he went fishing. When Lomonosov was a little boy he wanted to study. This was difficult because books were rare and expensive and because there was no school in the village. However, the village priest taught Lomonosov to read and write. After that, Mikhail Lomonosov began to look for books. One man in the village had an arithmetic book. When Lomonosov saw this book, he ased the man to give it to him. He read it so often that soon he knew it by heart. He managed to get more books from his friends and spent many days reading them.

Home Schooling

To sum up there are some good things and bad things in home schooling. But it seems to me that state school is better way, because when you grow up in society it is easier to move on. · Parents have the freedom to decide what to teach · Parents have the freedom to decide how to teach · Parents can teach their children more than just facts · They are able to spend more time together · Children can study subjects, which aren't included in the school curriculum · When children learning what interests them, it motivates them to learn even more · When a child's curriculum is directly linked to them, they will never get bored · Children learn how to find out information for themselves · They are encouraged to think for themselves and use their initiative

Why do I need to speak English in English class?

often and because of that I have many cacoepies and I am not very good at speaking English and that is why I should speak English during the English classes much more. Using English frequently gives me better understanding of the language, I will become more fluent in it and my general intelligence improves remarkably. Human beings are unique species because of their ability to learn, but in order to use this ability's full capacity, I must study every day. As to languages, constant improving is even more important because this is how the know-how of the language develops. It is the second important reason why I should use English more frequently in English classes. We like to think that English is so much part of our lives, since we hear it every day in interactive media, for example TV. But actually if I do not speak the language out loud, it

There should be no compulsory school subjects

There should be no compulsory school subjects. Students should be allowed to choose subjects they want to study. In school students do not want to learn some subjects, still they have to do it. Some lessons may not like for pupils. For example, students have to learn foreign languages, be in a choir or do psychical educaion even if they do not like it at all. However, should there be compulsory subjects or should there be not? On the one hand, students do not work hard if they are not interested in the subject. Then they just waste their time doing nothing important. Also,

What i value most in a friend

What I value most in a friend. My friends play very big role in my life.Me and my friends get along very well.We almost never fight. It's very important, that we can trust each other. I got my first friend in playschool. Her name is Anna. We started to get along very well and we did everything together. I think people make friends because they need someone to talk to and a friend who can play with. I have a lot in common with my friend Merit. We do a lot of thing together.Like..go shopping and study together. Also we like to watch comedy movies. And in summer we always go beach together to sunbathe and swim. She is very trusty, friendly and funny. Both of us enjoy dancing. We use to visit clubs very often and party there. We also have differences, like everybody does. Merit doesn't like hip-hop music, I absolutely love it. In some ways we are very different. We have different activitis and lifestyles. My friend lives with her parents at home, but I live with my boyfriend.

The truth pushes our world forward

The truth pushes our world forward 1. Truth has helped us to study and learn more about our world, not like religion and bible have done. Religion did not let science to evolve, but thanks to the sciences like Galileo Galilei science evolved because he was brave enough to say that earth is not the centre of the world. 2. Truth always comes out, Crusade wars began because of Turks conquered the holy lands and mistreated the Christians not because Christians wanted to increase their religion that happened later after the Crusade

Studying abroad

And here comes advatage from disadvatage you learn to communicate in totally new language. But the most harder aspect in my opinion of studying abroad is that you cannot look away from homesickness. It comes earlier or later. Of course today communication is not a problem, we have many social networks and we can talk with parents and friends whenever we want, but real hugs, laugh and homemade food are those that are needed. So all the people who look cool because they travel a lot and study in different places abroad are also admirable, because they are really strong and handle all the things that studying abroad includes.

Stress in the life of young people today

Stress is a common problem in everyones life. However, it affects the young more than the adults. Young people are more easily influenced by it and often, can not cope with the pressure. The main reason why people are so stressed and overwhelmed all the time is the fast paced life we are all forced to lead. School, work and personal life often do not leave any time to take a breath and reload your batteries. Often, there is not an option to either study or work, because the youth want their independence and therefore have to earn their own money while still studying. Moreover, nowadays people are socially connected to each other everywhere they go. Social media, phones, the Internet help the youth to communicate with eachother whenever they want to, but it also takes a bit of a persons privacy away. There is a constant pressure to be accessible to all, to make it seem like the life you live is interesting and you have plenty of friends

Exchange student

are very helpful. Our school year starts on the 1. of September and ends in on the 3. of July. Compared with other European schools our summer holiday is the longest. The winter holiday is 2 weeks long and the spring and autumn holidays are 1 week long. Our average school day is quite long, it starts at 8 o´ clock and ends usually at 3 or 4 o´ clock. We have a break after every 45 minutes for 10 minutes and we have two breaks that are 20 minutes long. During the break we study for the next lesson or just chat with other classmates. I feel very safe in our school, I think everybody is responsible because all of us can contribute in discipline and make our school a better and safer place to learn at. My favorite subject is math because our teacher teaches us very good and I almost understand almost. Usually I do my homework for 2 or 3 hours and I think it's quite a long time for me to prepare for lessons. And if I have

Surviving exams article

Surviving exams Taking an exam or test is something everyone has experienced in one form or another at some point in life. Everyone gets stressed during exams but it is important not to let it get out of control. The suggestions below may help you cope with the stress and revise for examinations successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn. Secondly, I recommend taking breaks periodically. This would mean that your concentration is better and you find yourself retaining more information than if you try to revise with an over-
