I also enjoy his performance in the movies ,,The pursuit of happiness" and ,,I am legend". The film ,,Seven pounds" shows, that there are not only bad and cold, but also kindhearted and caring people around us. I do not want to live in a place, where I always have to be cautious and ready to protect myself. Also living in the city is bad for your health because the air is polluted and there is so much noise which is tiring. On the other hand living in the city has many good sides. There is usually something to do. You can watch movies in the cinema, visit bars, pubs, clubs, casinos and you can go shopping. If you have children you do not have to worry about lack of schools and kindergartens. In conclusion when you are a child there is no place better to grow up then a country home. In the far future I will definitely live in the countryside with my wife and children and have hectares of land. Manners and classy behavior are not bought, they are taught and practiced by parents who want their children to be decent and well-mannered. Palahniuk, the book is a way of telling the World how twisted the consumerist world is. The way of telling, is of course a bit extreme, depending on the readers taste, but I truly like it. Characters, like Mr. Durden himself, are to somewhat insane and perverse, as a normal person would not slice pornographic images into cinema projectable movies, but they serve their purpose. When I first read the book, it was nothing too special, but I couldn't put it away either. There was something strange that kept telling me not to stop reading. At some point, the style of the book, reminded me a bit of Kurt Vonnegut's style of realistic insanity. Anyhow, it was not until the midchapters of the book, when I realized that I was holding most probably one of the best books, I had ever read, in my hand. To understand it, you have to read it. It harms unborn babies, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and also seniors. All in all, cigarettes are definitely not our friends, likely enemies. It is time we stop ignoring the homeless and treating them as if they do not exist. Government must play a better role in helping these individuals that do not have a home. Social workers must find different means for helping the homeless. Permanent residence facilities should be considered instead of temporary shelters. Job programs for the homeless must concentrate on getting these people out of the streets and into the workplace so they can make something of themselves and not rely on the government just to give them what they need. Society must stop fearing these people and realize that they are humans just like all of us. No one deserves to be homeless.
I think it is easier to say that a tradition is a way of doing things that is handed down from generation to generation in a family, club, nation, any group. Why are traditions important? They bring you closer together. They are a trigger, a reason to get together, they bring back happy memories. Without traditions life would not be as fulfilled. Traditions are the glue that binds one generation to another. They give every member something to look forward to in our sometimes chaotic lives.
