The role of the Secretary in business

ESSAY The role of the Secretary in business Secretarys are usually women so most of the people generally think that Secretary's job is to make coffee, wear miniskirt and just be beautiful. Of course that is the most common wrong belief. Secretary is actually really important in the company. But what are Secretary's main tasks and why is she so important in business? I think that Secretary is very important person in the company. All clients and guests meet the secretary first so she is the first contact of the company and its reputations depends on how great is the customer service. She is like a business card of the company. Secretary greets clients and if needed, forwards clients to the right place. I think Secretary job gives a lot of variety of different tasks. Secretary has to communicate with all different clients, do paperwork, see if the com...

If you are not in facebook, you don't exist

At present I believe I could say that life has gathered into the Facebook. We can track in real time what people are doing, who they are communicating, what their marital status is and what mood they're in. Even businesses are promoting and seeking for new potential customers- through different public games where you can win from fancy dinners to fully paid trips to Hawaii. And it has been made so simple- you only have to click like and share. I think that Facebook is a good way to boost one's ego. I see people posting well selected pictures of their trips and parties. Enviable status updates like ,,Watching the sunrise from our hotel in Bali, miss you all xoxo!". That all makes others think that their life is just miserable and worthless. But the reality is that 76 percent of pictures uploaded to Facebook are taken when drunk, which is a very serious indicator, because a lot of people keep their

The Pilgrim Fathers

Seeds brought from England were of little use in their new environment. By the summer of 1621, the Pilgrim Fathers had built houses for themselves and had gathered up a small harvest. They were well recovered in health and strength, and had all things in good plenty. For, as some were thus working in the fields, others took part in fishing for cod and bass and other fish. Of these, they took good store, a large amount of which every family had its share. All the summer there was of no want. And then began to arrive flocks of duck and geese. However, not all Native Americans were friendly. As a result, a wooden fence with watchtowers surrounded the homes that had been built and the gates in the fence were locked at night. By 1622 the Pilgrim Fathers had built a fort to protect themselves. It also served as a meeting place to discuss issues of government within the new colony. Over the next few years, as life for

She quickly figures out your mainstream style, disturbing way of pushing back your hair every one in a while and the lack of personality you have. And she most certainly makes sure to share her views with her friend in a loud enough voice so that you ought to be deaf not to hear it. Indeed, Lily loves attention. You could recognise her laugh from a mile away because she laughes oh so loudly. You simply can't help yourself but to start laughing with her, but actually laugh at her laugh. At least it's good to know that Lila doesn't mind. Or if she does she hides it well enough because from an outsiders view point it seems that Lila simply doesn't care what others think of her

mother to help the village). A hero like that was respected by the elderly people and always glorified by his family (in case they were still alive at the end of the story). It used to take a long journey and a fascinating victory to be recognized as a hero but nowadays it has become much easier. We give the title "hero" away much faster and there is actually no surprise to that- there aren't really any monsters left to fight or people to fight them. For example we share the title every evening on TV news (TV3 Eestimaa uhkus) to people who have done a good act. It has both-cons and pluses. The pluses are that showing people their deeds should encourage others to help out in case possible but in the other hand giving away the title too easily ruins its meaning. If all you need is one act of goodness to be a hero, then why bother yourself any more? I think giving away the title on everyday news has

I think many people have suffered much more and would deserve much more. But that all concludes in people's ego. It's the side that people get greedy. At that moment lawyers step into play. They have helped create a world in which dissatisfaction leads to blame. Most victims of legal harassment will settle with money in order to avoid a lengthy and expensive trial. The defendant, however vast they may become, will be carried by his or her lawyer, working for a share of the profits. The ,,ambulance chasing" lawyers who are involved in this sort of legal chicanery get rich because when they win they can win simply billions. Innocent defendants know that they have a choice: they either spend years fighting the case or else they settle out of court. Many small businessmen have gone bust because they cannot afford the premiums they've been expected to pay. Public services have deteriorated still

Sotsioloogia essee: Hechter ja Horne

The importance of a shared meaning seems to be more explanatory in communities with high cohesiveness, for example religious groups, where people feel the presence of the meaning in their daily activities and thus experience the bonding effect of it. However, as the world is growing more and more anonymous due to globalization and emergence of megapolises, it becomes harder for people to experience the meaning, as their lifestyles are growing more individualistic. Similarly, as not all people share the same meaning, in areas with high cultural and ethnic diversity, meaning can cause conflict. All in all, a shared meaning can be the main basis for social order in smaller and cohesive communities, whereas in larger and more varied habitats this explanation becomes lacklustre. Norms and values For social order to emerge, not only need individuals to understand and share with each other, as foreseen by common meanings, they must also be able to agree on a wider scale.

Kokkuvõte Oscar Wilde

The Devoted friend O. Wilde Once upon a time, there was an honest little fellow named Hans. He was a man with a kind heart. He lived in a tiny cottage alone and everyday he worked in his garden. Hans had many friends, but the best one was Hugh the Miller. Hugh the Miller always went to Hans's house in order to recollect flowers for himself. Hugh the Miller always talked about how important is friendship and to share everything with one's friends, but he never gave anything to Hans. Hans always worked in his garden, but in winter he felt lonely and lived in bad conditions because of the cold weather, and because anyone visited him. One night, The Millar went to see Hans with a lantern and a big stick because his son has fallen off a ladder and he wanted Hans to go to call the Doctor. However, he didn't want to give Hans the lantern because he said it was new.

Robert Barker invested very large sums in printing the new edition, and consequently ran into serious debt, such that he was compelled to sub-lease the privilege to two rival London printers, Bonham Norton and John Bill. It appears that it was initially intended that each printer would print a portion of the text, share printed sheets with the others, and split the proceeds. Bitter financial disputes broke out, as Barker accused Norton and Bill of concealing their profits.universities of oxford and cambride managed to get the licenses for printing. to the Domus Aurea.Although the Colossus was preserved, much of the Domus Aurea was torn down. The lake was filled in and the land reused as the location for the new Flavian Amphitheatre. Gladiatorial schools and other support buildings were constructed nearby within the former grounds of the Domus Aurea. According to a reconstructed inscription found on the site, "the emperor Vespasian ordered this new amphitheatre to be erected from his general's share of the booty." This is thought to refer to the vast quantity of treasure seized by the Romans following their victory in the Great Jewish Revolt in 70AD. The Colosseum can be thus interpreted as a great triumphal monument built in the Roman tradition of celebrating great victories. Vespasian's decision to build the Colosseum on the site of Nero's lake can also be seen as a populist gesture of returning to the people an area of the city which Nero had appropriated for his own use

justified and ethical. File sharing simply is the process of making available and distributing files via the internet. Many freely developed applications have been made available that simplify this process, providing the ability to easily search for and upload any piece of digital content imaginable. These applications are commonly referred to as peer-to-peer (P2P) applications as they allow individuals to directly connect with other peers to share files. P2P networks are probably the most common and accessible to the average internet user, there are a host of other applications or methods that provide the same services and in many cases faster access to more content. With its rise in popularity and acceptance by many, file sharing has sparked debate that questions the ethics of those that embrace it. memory capacity. Depending on the device e-book may be readable in low light or even in total darkness. For elderly readers or for people with visual problems e-books have a remarkable advantage as the fonts can be enlarged, it I seven possible to use Text-to speech software to read the text. One great thing is the possibility to search for key terms. While an e-book reader costs much more than one book, the electronic texts are generally cheaper. Moreover, a great share of books are available free of charge. For example, all fiction from before the year 1900 is in the public domain. Compared to printed publishing, it is cheaper and easier for authors to self-publish e-books. An e-book can be purchased, downloaded, and used immediately, whereas when one buys a book one has to go to a bookshop, or wait for a delivery. Environmental Concerns. Ireland

In the middle years of the 20th century, as Irish society was attempting to modernise, traditional music tended to fall out of favour, especially in urban areas. During the 1960s, and inspired by the American folk music movement, there was a revival of interest in the Irish tradition. This revival was led by such groups as The Dubliners, The Chieftains, the Clancy Brothers, Sweeney's Men, and individuals like Seán Ó Riada and Christy Moore. Irish and Scottish traditional music share some similar characteristics. The Republic of Ireland has done well in the Eurovision Song Contest, being the most successful country in the competition, with seven wins. In the 20th century, Irish architecture followed the international trend towards modern, sleek and often radical building styles, particularly after independence in the first half of the century. New building materials and old were utilised in new ways to maximise style, space, light and energy efficiency.

and friend Snowball. Napoleon and Snowball did not agree on their views of leading the farm and Napoleon, who could not deal with divided power, drove Snowball away. So do humans nowadays. The moment they feel threatened by others' support for someone else's ideas, views and power, a certain protective reflex pushes them to defend and fight for their position. Humans are too selfish, self-centered and egoistic to share their desired position with someone else. Besides the thirst for individual power, the methods people use to gain it are even more absurd. The best example would be lying. In "Animal Farm" Napoleon gradually started inventing more and more lies, which would justify and explain his decisions and acts. The pigs started altering the Seven Commandements for their own well-being. They changed them to make their life more enjoyable and comfortable.

But as we seldom arrive or leave at the same time, it almost seems as if we were normal people, working at different places. What about taking work home? Marc: Why, yes, it happens, whether we like it or not. But unlike most of people we don't have to worry about our issues alone. We share the same experience and my dear wife knows the environment I work in and she is also familiar with all the problems. The lack of need to explain everything saves a lot of time. Catherine: Marc is always there for me when I need support and motivation. He knows exactly what I'm feeling and he can always help me with my problems, no matter if they're work-related or not. The Little Prince

his love for his rose makes her unique and that he is therefore responsible for her. Despite this revelation, he still feels very lonely because he is so far away from his rose. The prince ends his story by describing his encounters with two men, a railway switchman and a salesclerk. It is now the narrator's eighth day in the desert, and at the prince's suggestion, they set off to find a well. The water feeds their hearts as much as their bodies, and the two share a moment of bliss as they agree that too many people do not see what is truly important in life. The little prince's mind, however, is fixed on returning to his rose, and he begins making plans with the snake to head back to his planet. The narrator is able to fix his plane on the day before the one-year anniversary of the prince's arrival on Earth, and he walks sadly with his friend out to the place the prince landed. The snake bites the prince, who falls noiselessly to the sand.
