Valsustusajastu

The constitution replicates Baccaria's idea in its text about the judicial system. People are granted trials of all crimes by jury. With fair trials, punishments would be just. The Age of Enlightenment describes a period in Europe and the American colonies during the 18th century, in which it was believed that society was "emerging from centuries of darkness and ignorance into a new age enlightened by reason, science , and respect for humanity."Enlightenment result was tolerance. Now when eyes had been opened, government started to see how bad is the situation in the countrysides. They started to locate schoolsystems and educate peasantries. Now it was possible to lose classes, and change the way of ruling more democratical. Our approach must be flexible to adjust to new information and take advantage of new technology. We must always act to ensure continued economic growth and prosperity for our citizens and for citizens throughout the world." President George W. Bush...

Eestis Nihked Nõukogude Liidu asjajamises hakkavad Eestis olulist rolli mängima ja võimenduma. Siin tunnetatakse seda teravamalt. 80ndate...

All about High Tech

This perception has led to high investment in high-tech sectors of the economy. High-tech startup enterprises receive a large portion of venture capital. However, if, as has happened in the past, investment exceeds actual potential, then investors can lose all or most of their investment. High tech is often viewed as high risk, but offering the opportunity for high profits. Like Big Science , high technology is an international phenomenon, spanning continents, epitomized by the worldwide communication of the Internet. Thus a multinational corporation might work on a project 24 hours a day, with teams waking and working with the advance of the sun across the globe; such projects might be in software development or in the development of an integrated circuit. The help desks of a multinational corporation might thus employ, successively,...

Charles Darwin

But to most of us, "evolution" simply means that human beings are descended from apes, a slight misunderstanding, since both humans and modern apes are descendants of a mutual ancestor that is now extinct. It's not evolution but the theory of natural selection and the evidence he collected to prove to fellow scientists, peers, students, and most importantly the masses of public and the church that were at the heart of Darwin's contribution to biological science . A number of prominent scientists and other thinkers during the eighteenth century and the first half of the nineteenth century (among them Charles Darwin's grandfather, Erasmus Darwin) had offered detailed theories of evolution (Clark, 1984, pg.24-25). Therefor the idea of evolution went very far back in Western history. At that time this concept was referred to as The Great Chain...
