"Northern Europe’s seas. Norther Europe’s environment"

toxicity. It is estimated that about half of heavy metal inputs to the North and Baltic Seas originate as air pollutants. Heavy metals are indestructible and do not break down. When they sink to the bottom and stay strapped there, they may become toxic to the organisms in the area and also, for people, birds and animals who eat the contaminated water organisms. Last but not least, oil and oil products are also playing a big role in marine pollution. In the authors opinion the most dramatic inputs of oil result from accidents. Aniansson points out that such incidents cause widespread damage because wind and currents carry the oil away from the scene in a short term. Oil and oil products that are not completely insoluble in water cause serious damage to birds as the become oiled, making their plumage usless as thermal insulation and causing hypothermia which leads to death.

Imagination is More Important That Knowledge

imagination before knowledge was embraced by man. Our imagination allows us to escalade above all limits. Numerous things all come up due to imagination. Perfect examples of such things is art, music etc neither art music nor requires any knowledge. What you have to do is involve your mind in deep imagination and you will come up with something brilliant. In our language essays we use imagination to come up with brilliant and interesting stories. Knowledge here plays a small or rather no role here, because if you had knowledge and no imagination then all would be in vain. It's through imagination that we escape the world of reality for a second. Knowledge is only what we know but imagination does not have a limit as you can imagine of anything both practical or not. I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.

THE HISTORY OF JOURNALISM

1605 in Strassburg, is often recognized as the first newspaper. The first successful English daily, the Daily Courant, was published from 1702 to 1735.The first dedicated school for journalism, Missouri School of Journalism, was founded in 1908 in the United States of America by Walter Williams. In the 1920s, as modern journalism was just taking form, writer Walter Lippmann and American philosopher John Dewey debated over the role of journalism in a democracy. Their differing philosophies still characterize a debate about the role of journalism in society and the nation- state. The journalist became the middleman. When elites spoke, journalists listened and recorded the information, distilled it, and passed it on to the public for their consumption. The public is not smart enough to understand complicated, political issues. Furthermore, the public was too consumed with their daily lives to care about complex public policy

URO Security Council kriis, United nations Legitimacy crisis

inability to constrain great power use of force, particularly by the United States. This interpretation of the crisis of legitimacy is countered by an alternative understanding -- proffered most notably by neoconservative forces in the George W. Bush administration -- which focuses on the perceived inability of the existing UN regime to meet the challenges of contemporary global security (Frum and Perle, 2003;Kaplan and Kristol, 2003). Recognizing the United States as having a unique hegemonic role within contemporary international society, neoconservatives deride the existing collective security regime for impeding the United States as it seeks to fulfil the responsibilities that accompany its exalted status. Both individually and collectively, all UN member states have the right under Article 51 of the Charter to use force in response to actual or imminent attack, but this ceases once the UNSC 'has taken measures necessary to restore

Joseph Mallord William Turner and "The Fighting 'Temeraire'

He is commonly known as "the painter of light". One of his main themes was the helplessness and smallness of man against the destructive forces of nature. One of my favourite paintings is "The Fighting `Temeraire' tugged to her Last Berth to be broken up. Turner was in his sixties when he painted this painting. It shows his mastery of painting techniques to suggest sea and sky. It depicts one of the last second-rate ships of the line which played a distinguished role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Turner's main concern was to evoke a sense of loss, rather than to give an exact recording of the event. The painting "The Fighting 'Temeraire' " was painted in the years 1838-1839. The painting technique is oil, 91 x 122 cm. The painting type is landscape. Now the painting "The Fighting 'Temeraire' " locates in National Gallery, London. The spectacularly colourful setting of the sun draws a parallel with the passing of the old warship.

Violence on television. In today's society television plays a big role. People watch TV for many different reasons. They watch TV mainly for entertainment, but they also watch it to learn and to find out news. Violence is a major problem, it has affected people for ages. Although violence on television is not the greatest thing, it should be not be banned. In my opinion TV can be very educationaland it shouldn't be banned. Most people watch TV to get away from reality. Watching shows that depict a fantasy world are a lot more interesting to watch

Many newspapers and magazines feature stories about the private lives of famous people

and nowaday people are fond of famous people life details, despite embarrassing or untrue things. Besides, magazines help famous people support their popularity and in some way develope their careers, giving other people free information about their private lifes. Gossips increase people`s interest and products, which are produced or broadcasted with famous people will be more common ,than others things. In conclusion, based on the arguments listed above is clear that more appropriative role for featuring private life of famous people is for magazines, than for newspapers, which should focus on serious situations. Magazines are more linked to social things and may not only inform people, but also help famous people increase their popularity. Valeria Prostjakova

Friends have more influence than family

Currently a lot of teenagers start smoking because they try to be like their friends. They don't care what their parents think. They have different expectations about life. They want to be popular, they want to have a lot of friends and they believe that they should be like their friends to achieve that. On the other hand maybe when they grow up and have a baby they understand their parents and they want to be a parent like them. But in these ages parents are not their role models. In conclusýon, because of these reasons I think friends are influence teenagers more than parents. Although parents have more experiences and they try to make best for their children, good or bad way teenagers are influenced by their friends.

society. If the dominant social order has no place for a person, they must find another group where they feel needed. The homeless have trouble belonging to a community. Many people do not want the homeless to be apart of the same social circle. People are embarrassed of the homeless because of the many stereotypes that they have been given. It is time we stop ignoring the homeless and treating them as if they do not exist. Government must play a better role in helping these individuals that do not have a home. Social workers must find different means for helping the homeless. Permanent residence facilities should be considered instead of temporary shelters. Job programs for the homeless must concentrate on getting these people out of the streets and into the workplace so they can make something of themselves and not rely on the government just to give them what they need. She is a good example of sexuality and gender not being as univocal and simplistic topics as they may seem since she was a bisexual (sexual relationship with Celie). Throughout the novel Celie’s mother was compared to Shug. Celie saw her mother in Shug while she took Shug as a role model herself. Shug had a great influence on Celie who was in a violent marriage. Thanks to Shug, Celie learned to stand up for herself and also got to know herself and her worth. All thanks to the help she received form Shug. I believe that Shug brought Celie back to life as she taught her about self-esteem and self-worth. Why people go to school?

Who goes there to learn who goes to make fun ( to amuse ) and who goes there forcibly at all. Another can not answer it. I think that there is more than one answer to this question.. For example, I go to school to learn. Learning is the basis of life and even wise people have said that human being learns the whole life.. but he still dies as fool." I'm not going only to learn at school ... At any time you should learn something new and interesting. The school and education plays a major role in our lives, because the more you will learn and the more you achieve, the more choices are available. School shouldn't be a place where someone has bad to be. In my mind there have to be sufficient funny and interesting at school, and there's to be something that distract the students. Anyone's motivation shouldn't disappear ( being motivated ). If there going well at school, then there is a lot of fun and the days passing quickly. Horrible boring is

Rowan Atkinson elulugu inglise keeles

He’s an English actor, comedian, and screenwriter who is best known for his work on the sitcoms Mr. Bean and Blackadder. He has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy and amongst the top 50 comedians ever, in a 2005 poll of fellow comedians. Although he'd first appeared at Edinburgh when he was 17, Atkinson was spotted at the 1976 Festival by television producer John Lloyd, who went on to produce him in his first starring role - as one of the four members of the ’Not The Nine O'Clock News’ sketch team. This was followed by the huge success of Blackadder and its sequels which propelled Atkinson to star status. He then went on to create Mr Bean. A walking disaster, Bean was purely physical comedy, the opposite of Edmund Blackadder's polished dialogue. This clumsy character was a huge success and became another national treasure. One of her most famous work is "Emajõe ööbik" (Nightingale of the Emajõgi) that was written in 1867. She wrote a lot about patriotism and loving our fatherland. She also started building a library which was a pretty big thing because it was time when it was weird for woman to do such thing. She had a really big role in Estonia becoming independent. She reminded us to stay strong no matter what. Her poems reminded us and remind us these days too, that we always have to love our fatherland. She didn't die in Estonia but her remains were brought to Estonia later. There are also many things made for Lydia's memory. For example there's a memorial stone for her. Settlement of 1701. This means Princess Charlotte of Cambridge is now fourth in line to the throne, following her grandfather The Prince of Wales, father The Duke of Cambridge and elder brother Prince George of Cambridge. The British Monarchy is known as a constitutional monarchy. This means that, while The Sovereign is Head of State, the ability to make and pass legislation resides with an elected Parliament. Although The Sovereign no longer has a political or executive role, he or she continues to play an important part in the life of the nation. Art and Aesthetics in Early Childhood Education

appropriateness of unilinear conceptions of development in explaining a wide range of pictorial imagery produced by children. adolescents, and adults. Second, a disparity has been noted between the breadth of the world of art and the narrowness of the focus on visual realism that has served as the endpoint in these developmental models. Third, cultural biases that mark these models have been identified theoretically and empirically. Fourth, insufficient recognition has been paid to the role of other modalities of expression in some forms of pictorial representation(e.g., Duncum, 1986; Golomb, 1994; Kindler &Darras, 1997b, 1998; Korzenik, 1995; Wolf, 1994; Wolf & Perry, 1998) . Critics of the traditional stage models of development argued that alternative explanations are necessary to account for the range of pictorial systems that children begin to develop early in life and to engage in research relating to the reasons for selecting specific pictorial solutions

up with their own idea. Some examples are raising money to donate to a charity, creating an anthology of short stories to be bound and published, starting a website, writing and recording an original song, and patenting a new idea. Because of the amount of coordination required for each project, both successes and failures would inevitably spring up along the way, giving the children a meaningful experience of what it is like to work on a real-world project. The teacher would have an important role, psychologically coaching the kids through the highs and lows of the project and facilitating discussions to make them work better together and motivate themselves. In addition, academic lessons would be split into two halves. The first half would be a basic skills seminar, and the second an advanced class. Students would be able to choose whether to stay the second half, or else they could leave to work on their current project, read, or pursue an independent study of another subject

But after a while he understand, that the school is probably the worst place where to be, when you want a peaceful life. The teachers look the other way as the older students are very brutal to younger, creating a hierarchical society based on class and age. The film was made in 2003 and directed by Mikael Håfström. Andreas Wilson plays the leading role of Erik Ponti. It has been named Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design (2004 Swedish Film Awards); Audience Award for Best Feature (2004 Miami International Film Festival). And it was nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category in the 2004 Oscars. In my opinion it was unnecessary because although Erik was more violent in the book, he still made a

3 Basic of liberalism Liberalism is one of the oldest theories and it contrasts to realism that has rather pessimistic approach not like liberalism that tries to be optimistic. The theory emerged to show the futility of war and the idea of creating a better future. You can find four types of liberalism (Jackson, 2010) but in this essay we are foucused more on institutional liberalism whereby the role of international institutions lies in transnational cooperation. Liberalists belive that international relations are based on collaborative work. Liberalism also belives that humans are naturally good. This theory is mostly influenced by Locke, Bentham and Kant (Jackson, 2010). Liberals want to remove the influence of the state in commercial relations between businesses and individuals, and the decline of national economic sovereignty is an indication that the

entertained his weekend estate guests with fabulous tales. But ,,by proxy" indicates that individuals are harming or claiming fabricated illness in another, usually a child. There are four key elements of MSBP commonly referred to in the child-abuse-centered literature; notably these focus on the impact of the conduct on the child. First, the child's illness is simulated or produced by a parent, usually the mother, or someone acting in a caregiver role. Second, the child is repeatedly brought forward for medical evaluation and treatment. Third, the perpetrator denies any knowledge of the cause of the illness. Fourth, when the child and the perpetrator are separated, the medical issues cease. MSBP was formally acknowledged by the American Psychiatric Association in 1994 when it was entered in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV) under the general title, Factitious Disorder by Proxy.

Secondly, every adult has to work so they could get the paycheck at the end of the month they need to pay the bills, buy food and to pay for any other expences. Agatha Christie "Partners in crime"

as Poirot or Miss Marple. They are Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, a married couple. Tommy works for some kind of a agency which tells them to run a detective agency to catch a Russian spy. Tuppence was delighted because before that she was very bored and she had nothing to do. Before catching the spy they start working as real detectives. They are pretty good at solving mysterious cases because they are great fans of detective novels. Tommy and Tuppence like to role play. Every time they have a costumer they parody all kinds of famous fictional detectives from Dr Thorndyke to Hercule Poirot. Tommy is Poirot in the last chapter when he catches the spy. All mini stories were great but my favourite one was called The Unbreakable Alibi. A man comes to them with a request to outsmart his future wife. The woman had told him that she had been in two places at the same time and she had unbreakables alibis to prove it

SPEECH: Attitude rather than aptitude is the key to succsess

A positive attitude or a constructive and optimistic way of looking at yourself and your work goes hand in hand with succsess. Actually all of us have enourmous potential, but lot of us are too lazy to take advantage of it. We could accomplish MUCH more if we are just willing to work on it. Nowadays is possible to do almost anything and to go almost anywhere. The world in front of us is big and wide and so are the options. The aptitude doesn't play as big role as attitude. You need to be diligent and consistent to achieve anything. The odd thing is, the more further you get and the more you learn, the more you feel and see, that you ACTUALLY don't know most of what you COULD do and know.
