All the world's a puzzle;arutlev kirjand

Chapter four plays around the consumer society topic. Most likely we're going to talk about music, fashion, how to spend a marvellous holiday without wasting much money, online shopping and sightseeing tours. The list could've continued another minute, because there is just so many things to discuss in connection with the consuming. As the tradition requires we're going to have a lovely test with lots of difficulties, but we're going to successfully survive them and have a nice summer afterwards. `Cela est d'autant!' would Shakespeare say if he'd learned French, but since he hadn't and I haven't neither, I'm going to finish with everlasting words the great poet used in another one of his remarkable masterpieces, `Who all their parts of me to thee did give; That due of many now is thine alone. Their images I loved, I view in thee,...

Passive houses

Good afternoon everyone, my name is Kristiina, I´m a second year student here at Tallinn University of Technology and I´m standing here in front of you to talk about the ,,passive houses I will inform you about their magnitude and percentage nowadays and also talk about the potential difficulties that might appear when building a passive house". But I´ll start off by giving you an overview of the term. The definition of a passive house is based on its extremely low energy need. Passive houses consume less than a quarter of energy required for a standrard building, as a result reducing its ecological footprint. So it´s a ultralow energy building which requires little energy for space heating or cooling. Sounds appealing right? Sustaining the earth for our future generations and also in the long run benefit from living there with paying lower tax...

Essay: What Makes a Good Teacher

What Makes a Good Teacher As everybody knows, being a teacher requires different qualities that many people do not have. It is commonly accepted that teaching is often extremely difficult and stressful because pupils can sometimes give the tutor a hard time. Only the tough ones survive. I reckon it all comes down to the circumstance whether the teacher loves her job or does she do it just for the salary. If she only does it for money, the children will not take her seriously. She should also have a vast knowledge of her subject...

Psühholoogia bioloogiline-, kognitiivne- ja sotsiaalne vaade

The levels of processing model changed the direction of memory research. It showed that encoding was not a simple, straightforward process. This widened the focus from seeing long-term memory as a simple storage unit to seeing it as a complex processing system. Craik and Lockhart's ideas explain why we remember some things much better and for much longer than others. This explanation of memory is useful in everyday life because it highlights the way in which elaboration, which requires deeper processing of information, can aid memory. Despite these strengths, there are a number of criticisms of the levels of processing theory: It does not explain how the deeper processing results in better memories. Deeper processing takes more effort than shallow processing and it could be this, rather than the depth of processing that makes it more likely people will remember something. Also, the concept of depth is vague and cannot be observed. Therefore, it cannot be objectively measured....

These bulbs last much longer and use much less energy, producing significant savings over the life of the bulb. Appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and dryers are also more energy efficient than they used to be. In 1990 Congress passed the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act, which requires new appliances to meet strict energy efficiency standards. Learn more about energy efficient light bulbs and appliances, and other ways to save energy at home. 2.2 Types of energy used in homes Natural gas is the most widely consumed energy source in American homes, followed by electricity, heating oil and propane. Inversely in an espresso machine the water is only in contact with the grind for 20-25 seconds (although under pressure) so a very fine (or espresso) grind is needed for optimum flavour extraction to occur. In a similar vein drip filter coffee machines require a medium to fine grind as the filter paper restricts the flow of hot water into the jug but even so the infusion time is quite short. The cafetiere (or French Press) method requires a medium grind as the coffee may infuse for a while before the customer decides to end the infusion process by depressing the integral strainer to trap the used grounds at the bottom of the pot. * Quantity of coffee used: It is imperative to use the correct amount of coffee appropriate to the equipment used to brew it.Using less coffee than recommended by compensating by using a longer brew time will not result in a standard brew but just produce an over-extracted beverage...
