What makes a good leader?

A great leader allows creativity to be unleashed and takes risks. Person like that can transform his or her organization for major developement. A good leader needs to be able to laugh but a great leader should be abel to laugh at oneself. Secondly, a good leader is considering with his employees. Of course he or she has to have skills and knowledge on how to motivate workers and pave the way for company's success, but one cannot forget that leading requires a big responsibility. For example, if the head of a company makes bad financial decisions, everyone on that company is being influenced. In conclusin, I can say that the shape of a leader is never plain. Heart and Lung Health

However, exercise not only helps us lose weight, but maintain our weight as we grow older. As we age, our metabolism decreases, and so we need extra physical activity just to maintain our weight. This is why most people put on weight as they age, even when they stick to the same diet that they have always had. Build and Tone Muscles: Exercise helps to build strong muscles and bones through both cardiovascular and strength training. Strength training is any form of exercise that requires muscle resistance, so whether you're using your own body weight or an external object, if your involving your body in motion that requires some resistance (e.g. push-ups), you are strength training. Why do we need to develop muscles anyway? Muscles help to build metabolism, and as you grow older, you'll really need an increased metabolic rate to maintain your weight. Also, muscles help to prevent diseases, and improve balance. Ladies, don't think building muscles means you have

Essay: What Makes a Good Teacher

What Makes a Good Teacher As everybody knows, being a teacher requires different qualities that many people do not have. It is commonly accepted that teaching is often extremely difficult and stressful because pupils can sometimes give the tutor a hard time. Only the tough ones survive. I reckon it all comes down to the circumstance whether the teacher loves her job or does she do it just for the salary. If she only does it for money, the children will not take her seriously. She should also have a vast knowledge of her subject

are common sources of biomass energy. Manure, garbage, and crops such as corn, soy, and sugar cane can also be used as biomass feedstocks. We get energy from biomass by burning it. Wood chips, manure, and garbage are dried out and compressed into squares called "briquettes." Biomass can also be converted into biofuel. A major advantage of biomass is that it can be stored and used when it is needed. Negative aspects of biomass energy Growing crops for biofuels requires large amounts of land and pesticides. Some pesticides could pollute the air and water. Biomass energy can also be a non renewable energy source. If people do not replant biomass feedstocks as fast as they use them, biomass energy becomes a nonrenewable energy source. Conclusion Renewable energy is generated from natural resources. Renewable energy sources are sunlight, wind, geothermal heat, water and various forms of biomass. These renewable sources cannot be

Essee fast food

Advantages and disadvantages of fast food Many people eat fast food very often, but what is good and it's bad sides? Fast food eaters do not usually think about the different influences. More people should know about fast food. Fast food has less advantages. The most evident advantage of fast food is that it saves time. In today's fast life, there is nothing better than getting a ready meal. No matter how much the chefs praise the benefits of fresh food, at the end of a hard working day, when one returns home all tired and hungry, a pizza or a burger can be godsend. Besides the time an individual has to spend in the kitchen, cooking a meal also requires one to make a trip to the supermarket to buy the ingredients for the food. Fast food has very many disadvantages. The greatest disadvantage of fast food is the adverse effect. It is a fact that fast food is more unhealthy than homecooked meals, as they con...

How can the issue of intolerance be addressed by the government?

How can the issue of intolerance be addressed by the government? Intolerance in society is actually the intolerance of it’s individual members. Intolerance is rooted in fear and ignorance. People are afraid of the unknown, it is natural. But it can only grow, if it gets encouragement, either from parents, who are also ingorant or school, who just do not teach children any better. And fighting intolerance requires Law. Intolerance can be fought with education. Tolerance can be teached at an early age only, later it is difficult change a person’s values. And if intolerance starts with the fear of the unknow, education can help. Government should emphasise education more and more. Children should learn about tolerance and human rights and about other ways of life. School should teach children to always be open-minded. Capital punishment (essay)

community, particularly if it happens consistently, should be punished as severely as the death sentence. Most Christians are firmly against capital punishment, because they believe that there is some good in every person, even if he does not show any regret for what he has done. Not all people are as mature as to have such forgiveness in them. On the other hand this type of forgiveness cannot be a groundsel for the larger community, because it requires that you should really know the person that is in question. The Gallup Death Penalty Poll has shown that in the year 2008 64% of Americans were in favour of the death penalty and 30% were against it. The results have mostly stayed the same over the years. Although, if the question was to choose between the death penalty or life imprisonment, with absolutely no possibility of parole, then the public was more divided.

Imagination is More Important That Knowledge

Imagination is within us, and on the other hand knowledge is learnt through schooling and experience..." Imagination is also what infuses faith. God Himself used imagination in the creation of everything even the humans. This as a matter of fact was the beginning of imagination before knowledge was embraced by man. Our imagination allows us to escalade above all limits. Numerous things all come up due to imagination. Perfect examples of such things is art, music etc neither art music nor requires any knowledge. What you have to do is involve your mind in deep imagination and you will come up with something brilliant. In our language essays we use imagination to come up with brilliant and interesting stories. Knowledge here plays a small or rather no role here, because if you had knowledge and no imagination then all would be in vain. It's through imagination that we escape the world of reality for a second. Knowledge is only what we know

I have to say that I understand both sides. I believe that television can have a negative effect on children because there is so much violence in movies and TV shows. Also watching TV can make you lazy. It's physically, mentally, and emotionally lazy. It requires no physical, mental, or emotional participation It's an addictive excuse that keeps people from leaving the house and communicating with real people. The commercials are also very annoying. But I think that there are still more positive aspects than negative ones. For example, watching TV can be educational. Cars enslave us rather than liberate us

Especially cars that offer the best comfort for humans. There is always a need to go somewhere: to school, work or just for a journey and it is always good to reach a destination as soon as possible. Of course, the importance of the car depends on the person's residence, whether the person lives in a city or in the countryside, the needs are different. In my opinion, cars enslave people because once a person gets behind the wheel, there is no way out of this comfort. To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover, it is expensive to get a driver's license. It can be said that owning a car is an expensive pleasure. Secondly, driving a car can be compared to addiction as Matthew Perry once said:" I think we need to educate doctors about our addiction

After graduation

I have never really had a real experience in aviation. Luckily, I had a chance to be a work shadow to a professional air traffic controller to see how it all works. This experience seemed long, however it was interesting and really opened my eyes. At first I thought that controlling air traffic can not be that hard, that it is just like another computer game! Well, during those two hours, while I sat next to my work shadow, I learned how much logic, brainwork and thinking it really requires. I also had an image in my head of how the job would probably be boring due to just sitting alone in a big room filled with computers. However, I was mislead and realized that it is just the opposite. Who would have thought that you would have so many coworkers working with you at the same time. And every one of them with a different mission. Though it is a very nerveracking job, these people are still full of joy and happiness in this big control center.

Lacrosse Lehesalu

Lehesalu Andres AT112 Lacrosse Lacrosse Lacrosse is a team sport of Native American origin played using a small rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a crosse or lacrosse stick, mainly played in the United States and Canada. It is a contact sport which requires padding such as shoulder pads, gloves, helmets, elbow pads, and sometimes even rib guards History Lacrosse, a relatively popular team sport in the Americas, may have developed as early as AD 1100. By the seventeenth century it was well- established and had been documented by Jesuit priests, although the game has undergone many modifications since that time. In the traditional aboriginal Canadian version, each team consisted of about 100 to 1,000 men on a field that stretched from about 500 meters to 3 kilometers long. These lacrosse games lasted from sunup to sundown for two to three days straight. These games were played as part...

Nowadays, young people are trying all sorts of ways to follow fashion without thinking about its consequences. After all, there is no limit to fashion, this opens a huge scope for imagination of their fragile minds. In fact, fashion is not what it seems. Youth imitates their idols, copy the actions of others . The beauty of the person has been spoken about for many centuries . But with the beginning of a new century, the concept of beauty has changed in the other direction. Computer programming (often shortened to programming or coding) is the process of writing, testing, debugging/troubleshooting, and maintaining the source code of computer programs. This source code is written in a programming language. The code may be a modification of an existing source or something completely new. The purpose of programming is to create a program that exhibits a certain desired behaviour (customization). The process of writing source code often requires expertise in many different subjects, including knowledge of the application domain, specialized algorithms and formal logic. ________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________ Regulate Definition: To control or supervise somethin by means of laws or rulers. Passive houses

Passive houses OK, so let´s get started. Good afternoon everyone, my name is Kristiina, I´m a second year student here at Tallinn University of Technology and I´m standing here in front of you to talk about the ,,passive houses I will inform you about their magnitude and percentage nowadays and also talk about the potential difficulties that might appear when building a passive house". But I´ll start off by giving you an overview of the term. The definition of a passive house is based on its extremely low energy need. Passive houses consume less than a quarter of energy required for a standrard building, as a result reducing its ecological footprint. So it´s a ultralow energy building which requires little energy for space heating or cooling. Sounds appealing right? Sustaining the earth for our future generations and also in the long run benefit from living there with paying lower tax...

Federal law requires your employer to provide you with the right respirator for the job, at no cost to you. If this does not happen, use the best respirator you can get. Many Gulf Coast cleanup workers are using N95 disposable respirators. These are good for small mold jobs (for example, working with less than 3 sheets of sheetrock per workday). Caution - N95 disposable respirators provide basic protection against mold, but not against harmful chemicals like asbestos, lead, or petroleum products.

Diplomat

Diplomatic School. It is very difficult to get in because every year they accept only around 30 students. You have to be flexible in your working hours because probably with the job you have to attend a lot of meetings or gatherings in the evenings. Conditions might be different depending on the country you are staying, like in America you'll probably have very good living environment, but if you have to compare it wiht Ukraine or Belarus then there are differences. Working in this field requires at least a degree from the university in any kind of subject that interests you. In my mind it would be better to get a degree in languages or in public relations, something that has anything to do with the work. It is good if the person who wants to become a diplomat is passionate about the work he or she will do, like travelling and communicating with other people, is open minded about things that might come up in his or her life while being a diplomat
