Andrew Lloyd Webber

Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, seven Olivier Awards, a Golden Globe, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006. Several of his songs, notably "I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar, "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" from Evita, "Memory" from Cats, and "The Music of the Night" from The Phantom of the Opera have been widely recorded and were hits outside of their parent musicals. His company, the Really Useful Group, is one of the largest theatre operators in London. Producers in several parts of the UK have staged productions, including national tours, of Lloyd Webber's musicals under licence from the Really Useful Group....

Tourists in Estonia

The Brits Usually here are only British bachelors who want to have a stag party in our pubs. These kind of Brits are very annoying. But here are also nice old Brits, much less than bachelors but still some. Older Brits usually are with cameras and visit all the sightseeing in Tallinn. They look very intelligent and for some reasons all Brits are very skinny. The Japanese Japan is really far from Estonia but still here some lost Japan tourist in here Tallinn. Japanese are very small but fast. Usually they don't move alone, they are always in a tourist group or in some other group. Young Japanese are like old Brits. They always carry a camera with them and take pictures of everything. And one weird thing is that only younger Japanese get lost here at least I haven't seen any middle-age Japanese. The Yanks...

Surprise

Because it was adressed to me and I hadn`t got any letters for a long time. I had just found it when I came to the kitchen. It was afternoon and I arrived from school. I hadn`t been expecting that kind of surprise at all. There was a name and an address on the other side, which I didn`t recognize. In addition, it seemed a bit weird that the envelope was on the floor, next to the table, but on second thought it could have been there by accident. So now I went upstairs, to my room and sat on the armchair. I sat there for a moment, holding the letter on my lap and looking out the window to let the curiousity grow. Than I prepared to tear it open, but some noise from downstairs interrupted me. I sat still and listened for a minute, it was quiet again. As I laid my eyes on the envelope again the same sound, only louder, interrupte...

"River of Death" Alistair Maclean

Hamilton and others managed to escape and Spaatz and Manteuffle were leaving too. The suddenly the Military came and arrested the criminals. Hamilton showed his mothers and fathers grave to Manteuffel. Manteuffel said that he was going to be a dead man. So military was going to take manteuffel away but he managed to get free and jumped off the cliff. Hamilton repeated his word about being a dead man. The crew found big amount of treasures. The Lost city really existed. My opinion It was a great book. At first book seemed boring but like author said about the book, that it is full of suprises and it was true. The end was quite interesting. It was a bit hard to read, because some pages consist of lots of new word. But if the harder word were translated, then it was easy to follow....

Drugs and how they affect your health.

Crack cocaine is a form of the drug that gives a very quick, intense high. Crack is made by cooking cocaine powder with baking soda, then breaking it into small pieces called rocks. It got its name because it crackles when it is heated and smoked. Heroin comes from the opium poppy, a flower that grows in Asia, Mexico, and South America. Pure heroin is a white powder that tastes really bad. Some heroin is dark brown, and black tar heroin is either sticky or hard and looks like roofing tar. Ecstasies are tablets of different shapes, size and color (often white) which are swallowed. Can leave users feeling tired and depressed for days. Periods may be heavier, irregular or stop. Nerve damage from ecstasy use may affect memory and possibly increase chances of depression. Possibly increases risk of getting colds and flu. Regular users can become tolerant to ecstasy....

Eclipse review

I think my biggest problem with this book is the way Bella constantly deludes herself. Alice has a vision at lunch while sitting with Bella and Edward. Bella is curious and wants to know what the vision was, but neither Edward or Alice will tell her. Edward then railroads her into going to visit her mom for the weekend in Arizona, and then lies to Bella about the vision, telling her it was something much different than what it really is. Bella thinks that Alice saw vision about Victoria. Bella got 2 tickets to Arizona from Alice for Birthday but since this day Charlie didn't knew it. He was surprised . Bella was disappointed because Edward mentioned it on purpose. And so, i think that events moving little bit slowly but it's necessary to understand following content. I can't write much more about it because i have to read it on....

Images of China

Including these images China is well known by its diverse landscapes and strong ancient traditions. The Great Wall of China is the typical and the most common symbol of China. The Great Wall of China was built from 5th century BC to 16th century to protect Chinese Empire from Mongol invaders. The Great Wall of China boasts with its lenght of 6400km and it is even recognisable for the outer space. It was really hard to build a massive wall on landscape so diverse. The northern part of China is quite mountainous and covered by huge deserts. On the other hand the southern part is famous for its enormous rainforests. The Chinese people are know as really kind and helpful people and they are also known as tiny people. China is one of the biggest countries in the world in terms of area and population. The population of China is about 1.3 billion. Despite the past experience with communism,...

Tourism report

To: Tallinn Tourism Office From: Edgar Rootalu Date: 05.12.2008 Subject: Tourist capabilities in Tallinn Tallinn is a very good city for tourism. It has populatin of 403 547 people to be exact, so its not very crowded and not a hamlet too. There's plenty to do in this historic city. Tallinn really has a long history of its names and flag. There have been many rulers with different nationalities, so there are marks of their architecture too. There are very many positive things connected with that city: · Tallinn has a very special old town that you cannot find in any other countries. It has middle age architecture combined with little modern one. · Kadriorg palace ensemble is beautiful place, especially in Spirng when teh nature is ,,waking up"....

Formal letter

When we had decided what to have there was once again no-one to serve us and when the waitress finally showed up she could not answer our questions about the specifics of the menu. Finally we came to a conclusion that I would take the french fries, but without jalapeno, which I especially accentuated. After 15 minutes of more waiting the dishes arrived, but there was still jalapeno in my food. I was really disappointed and took the dish back, saying it was not what I ordered. The waitress looked a me poshly and did not even apologise, but just took the dish and went into the kitchen. After 5 minutes she returned and gave me the dish, this time without jalapeno and left. After I had eated for a while I suddenly noticed something black and big, it was hair. I was just stunned and stopped eating immediately. But still I did not panic, I waited until my partner had finished his food and then...

Life in town vs Life in the country

Life in the Country is easier in many ways: quiet, fresh air, cheaper food, comfortable. In the Country people don't live very close to each others, which makes life more peacuful, there is opportunity to feel privacy. Air is less polluted than in Town, which enlarge people lenght of life. Food and other important things for life is cheaper than in Town, because it is really hard to find a job and almost impossible to spend money. People who live in the Country don't need to dress like pople in Town. In Town it is very important to look good and be well-established, specially in the downtown, but in the Country it doesn't matter what people wear. Although life in the Country is easier , it has its own negative sides like: unemployment, establishment will be closed, distress services are hardly available. Usually people prefer to live in the Town, because in the...

Do young people today learn enough at school to face the world tomorrow

On the other hand, it depends on school. Tutors of some schools focus only on education. They don`t care of the discipline and pupils` behaviour at all. Probably such school-leavers have only several opportunities for the future to become criminals, join local gangs or to control themselves and to do their best in studies. Such schools may be really named the schools of life because children studying there are forced to grow up earlier than others. Furthermore, present youngsters spend a great deal of their spare time sitting in Internet. They communicate, study and play games in simulated environment of the virtual world. That is the place where young people really get the most information. Internet has the only advantage comparing with schools, information from there never becomes out of date....

Character Reference

In fact, I would go as far as to say that she is so energetic person, that your company will need no more workers. Sometimes it seems, that is capable to do thousands doings at the same time. The one her drawback is `hurry sickness`. She is always in a great hurry, even if it is not necessary. Even at school we had such cases, when she was like `in hurry`. She was always first, when we pass our essays or tests, or read poems by heart etc. This is not really the drawback, but sometimes it tires her out. For the reasons I have given I have no hesitation in supporting her by this application for the job. I believe that Alice would make a good impression on you....

Report to the Board of Governors

There are some verified ways to collect money, such as a street collection, house-to-house collection and jumble sales. A large amount of money was raised by the house-to house collection. It`s about a 40% of the whole money we got for these children. Also income from the street collection is really nice as well 30%. So, a 20% of the pie chart I made takes the jumble sale and 10% - other ways of collecting money. Overview This year it was decided to organise a fund-raising day for the charity. It was the nice and cheerful time. Many people agreed to become our volunteers this day. There were about 50 persons, mostly students from the nearest university and some my colleagues came to help us. Youngsters were wonderful! They were so enthusiastic, for example, they thought of some...

The Book I Advice to Read and Why

The Book I Advice to Read and Why. I've recently read a book which has made a very deep impression on me. It is called The Fifth Mountain and it gets really unforgettable reading. The author of the book is Paulo Coelho. He is my favourite writer, so I can recommend almost all his books I read. His plots always mislead the reader and keep him in suspense. 61 The Fifth Mountain is a work inspired by a biblical passage which seeks to reconcile all contradictions of the soul, and which intends to be an excellent advisor in times of confusion and reflection. 95 The story of the prophet Elijah is an invaluable lesson of hope for the contemporary man. To...

Oliver Twist

They performed it in English, ofcourse, but what makes the play more interesting, is that it was in Old English. Thanks to the language, it took us back in time where the story takes place. It was hard to focus on the play, because of a girl who was sitting in the last row. She was laughing at all times, although the play had only a few humorous lines worth laughing. If you go to a theatre and you find the play boring, sit quietly and have some respect for other people. I really don't like plays where they cut down on the number of actors. Every actor should have only one role, so that they don't get their lines mixed and to really live into their character. Fortunately the performances were rather convincing. Also it is better to watch when the stage is decorated. In this particular show they used only the most neccessary things. It made the stage look amateurish and cheap. If you haven't read the book yet, and if you get the chance, go see it...

Fight club

Norton & Company. The genre of the book has been stated to be satirical novel. The novel tells a story about an miserable specialist of a car company. From day to day, he traveled from city to city, inspecting car crashes and deciding whether it was the car producers fault or not. He spent all his free time in cheap motels with insomnia and on daily basis watching corps, blood and human flesh mixed with oil and scrap metal has its own effect on his mind. Since there really isn't a support group for people with similar faith, the narrator starts going to random meetings of suffering people. Soon, the ultimate redemption arrives meeting Mr. Tyler Durden, the exact opposite of the narrator himself. I think for Mr. Palahniuk, the book is a way of telling the World how twisted the consumerist world is. The way of telling, is of course a bit extreme, depending on the readers taste, but I truly like it. Characters, like Mr...

Informal letters

I haven't travelled a lot recently. The last place I visited was Finland, which was in August 2008. Most of the trips I've taken were when I was too young to remember them. For instance I went to a European trip with my family when I was four years old. We visited such countries as Sweden, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia and some more countries. I would really love to visit USA, England and Japan. Something is just magical about those places. I know that when you live somewhere, you don't really see what's special about it. I bet you know a lot more about London than I do but you probably don't find it as special and beautiful as I do. I love to observe the architecture and the people who live in the country I visit.. So far my favourite place is located in Estonia. I can't help but love Saaremaa. It is the biggest island that Estonia has...

Vaktsineerimis töö

Leetrite surmajuhtumid olid kahanenud 95% enne kui võeti kasutusele vaktsiin. Kaasajal on 5898% leetritesse nakatunud inimestest täielikult vaktsineeritud. Läkaköhasse suremus oli kahanenud 75% enne vaktsiini. Tänapäeval umbes pooled läkaköhasse nakatunutest on vaktsineeritud. (Surmajuhtumite kõveraid ja statistikat vaata raamatutest Neil Miller "Vaccines:Are they really safe and effective" ja Tim O'Shea "The Sanctity of Human Blood") üles 9.
