For and against globalization

It gives unlimited access for the poorer people all over the Word to get the cheapest source of desired goods and services. Thirdly removing trading barriers help unemployed people to get jobs and deincrease the effect of the nowaday monopolies and explotation of the citizenz by the local businessmen. One point in favour of globalization is that it causes faster economic growth in all countries including the poor countries, lower prices of foods, drugs, clothes and shelter. Greater opportunities for skilled persons both locally and abroad and of course better understanding among the peoples of different countries. In spite of that the current rulers and dominators are not willing to agree with globalization, because they have their own vested interests, especially in socialist, communist and poor countries. Currently they don't have to compete with the efficient and skilled Word....

Nimetu

I recently saw all of them but unfortunately they are really bad. In the first place you promise that your movies are very funny, but they don´t. The jokes are just lame. Only 5th graders would laugh when they hear the jokes. I know that these movies are meant to be parodys but you should show more respect to the original movies. In addition to that the acting is very poor . You should have hired some well know actors. Maybe they would have saved the movies. Also the movies had lots of mistakes in them. For example the positions of furniture changed in several frames. The mistakes could have been avoided when you had edited the movie more carefully. The worst thing is that the story was very boring and had lots of plotholes in it. Next time you should write a better script like you did in "Scary Movie 3"...

Global warming

More and more fertile areas become useless. Seas, lakes and other bodies of water dry out. Desertification does not only have an effect on the dry areas but also influences the areas that aren't haunted by the lack of water and land. Desertification has an effect on all of us. It slows down the development of agriculture or puts a total stop to it. The poor living conditions of developing countries drive people to search food somewhere else. In addition to natural ways, humankind helps along to the process of desertification that eventually leads to global warming. The main reasons are the fast growth of the population and it's consequences too intensive animal raising and the arable lands that are made too fast for the nature to adjust. As I said before desertification eventually leads to global warming. Glaciers and permafrost...

American Literature Portfolio

It was the largest and most important economic depression in the 20th century, and is used in the 21st century as an example of how far the world's economy can fall. The Great Depression originated in the United States; historians most often use as a starting date the stock market crash on October 29, 1929, known as Black Tuesday. The depression had devastating effects in virtually every country, rich or poor . International trade plunged by half to two-thirds, as did personal income, tax revenue, prices and profits. Cities all around the world were hit hard, especially those dependent on heavy industry. Construction was virtually halted in many countries. Farming and rural areas suffered as crop prices fell by roughly 60 percent. Facing plummeting demand with few alternate sources of jobs, areas dependent on primary sector industries such as farming, mining and logging suffered the most...

History of London 2

QUESTIONS part 2 1: How many people died in the Great Fire of 1666? The death toll from the fire is unknown and is traditionally thought to have been small, as only a few verified deaths were recorded. This reasoning has recently been challenged on the grounds that the deaths of poor and middle-class people were not recorded anywhere, and that the heat of the fire may have cremated many victims, leaving no recognizable remains. 2: How was the fire finally mastered? The battle to quench the fire is considered to have been won by two factors: the strong east winds died down, and the Tower of London garrison used gunpowder to create effective firebreaks to halt further spread eastward. 3: What did the Rebuilding of London Act 1666 say about bricks?...

inglise keeles Eesti tutvustus: Project: Estonia

Project ESTONIA MAP OF ESTONIA Southern Viljandimaa The southern part of Viljandi county catches the eye with its sublime scenery. The area today lies in the very heart of the historical Mulgimaa the home of hills, deep valleys and lakes brought together by a beauty spot Halliste primeval valley. According to several folk tales, it is also in these valleys, woods and bogs that Old Nick found refuge. The great variety displayed in the nature is also reflected in the local cultural heritage. At the beginning of the 19th century growing linen spread and became the basis of the legendary wealth of Mulgi farms. The ancient barn-dwellings and decaying manor houses are the mute witnesses of those times. The riches and cultural heritage of Mulgimaa owe to the diligence and tenacity of the local people. Village handicraftsmen and masters have always been honoured. Mulgikapsad (stewed sauerkraut with barley gro...

Womenrights essee

Only positive side, of the nations where women are without rights, is the fact, that almost any arabian guy can have sex with a random woman, what is far from what's going on here, in the west. Women have the right to choose partners. It is interesting to know, that western men tend to be homosexual more often and I blame picky women leaving poor guys no other option than being gay or rapeist. Women status in worlds furthest places are very different from eachother - who respects them, who takes women as slaves; who loves one wife, who enjoys fourty wives. No one can go and make other nations change their cultures ancient ways, if they don't want to. Maybe someday every person on this planet will be equal, but not today and probably not tomorrow....

The Great Plague of London

Like the Great Fire of London and The Great Plague of London. Pepys's diary has become a national monument. The Great Plague of London Pepys was not among the group of people who were most at risk: he did not live in cramped housing, he did not routinely mix with the poor , and he was not required to keep his family in London in the event of a crisis the most notable fact about Pepys's plague year is that to him it was one of the happiest of his life On 31 December, in his annual summary, he wrote that 'I have never lived so merrily (besides that I never got so much) as I have done this plague time Pepys suggested that the Navy Office should evacuate to Greenwich, although he did offer to remain in town himself. The Great London fire...

Homereading - body language

The same can be true for adults when feelings are involved. People who are in bad shape emotionally will often place great importance in it. In fact, they often pick up the smallest hint of a lapse in attention in the person they are speaking to. And they frequently jump to the conclusion that they are boring or a nuisance - thus compounding any sense of depression or poor self-esteem. A way to learn the secrets of body language is to watch television with the sound turned off and try to interpret what is being said simply from reading body language. You will experience that humans say a lot with their mouth which is contradicted by their body, gestures and other channels of communication. Messages are ambiguous. But a notable feature of the early years of the 21st century is the fact that the body language of different nations is gradually becoming more similar...

Charles Darwin

His name is synonymous with the debate that continues to swirl around the theory of evolution, a theory that deeply shook the Western view of humanity and its place in the world. We tend to speak simply of the theory of evolution, leaving off the explanatory phrase, "through natural selection." At most, perhaps, the general public has heard of "survival of the fittest" a poor phrase as far as I'm concerned, since fitness in everyday usage is associated with physical conditioning and athletic ability. "Survival of the most suited to its environment" would be a more accurate, and convincing expression for this pedicular concept. But to most of us, "evolution" simply means that human beings are descended from apes, a slight misunderstanding, since both humans and modern apes are descendants of a mutual ancestor that is now extinct. It's not...

Alcohol

Bringe drinking is drinking to get drunk, it is what a lot of college people do. Drinking at least five drinks all in one sitting. When they do this the side effects become more serious: vomiting, dizziness, impaired mental capabilities, and hangovers. Those are only short term reactions, others things that binge drinking influence are: athletic performence, poor grades, sexual assault, fights, accidents, drinking and driving, and other health risks. If you think that not a lot of people do this , it is about 50% of collage men and 37% of collage women are classified as binge drinkers. A recent study show that studnts spend about $5.5 billion dollare on alcohol each year. That is more than they spend on soda pop, tea, milk, juice, coffee, and books combined. Some of the things that go along with drink are you are more open to getting...

Book review. A&Q (Slumdog Millionaire)

Book Review Q and A (re-branded as Slumdog Millionaire) Q & A is a novel written by Vikas Swarup, an Indian diplomat. Published in 2005, it was the author's first novel. Set in India, it tells the story of Ram Mohammad Thomas, a poor young waiter who becomes the biggest quiz-show winner in history, only to be sent to jail on accusations (but with no evidence or proof) that he cheated. It was the basis of the 2008 feature film Slumdog Millionaire. The novel was re-published under the title Slumdog Millionaire after the success of the film. The book is divided into 14 topics (included the prologue and the epilogue). Each chapter of the book focuses on questions and answers from the quiz-show, but also a story, how Ram...

How far can we go being tolerant?

If you are young and you are alone in the world, you do not have money to raise a baby then abortion is right thing for you and most for the baby. Also when woman who have some disease make abortion it has to be tolerated. There are also many other small and not so small things we have to tolerate every day. Usually those things are not so much thought about as racism and religion. Those things are for example coprolalia(ropendamine), violence, poor people, how animals are treated and so on. Those little but important decisions if we care or we have nothing agains it have to taken carefully because those things are affecting us and people around us constantly. Tolerance is always around us and will be there for a long time. It is everyone own choice if they are tolerate or not. I think we should be tolerate because if we would be like those people who have to be tolerated, no one would like to be treated differently and...
