The cramped conditions of the theatre became better, when it obtained some neighbouring buildings and the whole historic block was renovated, turning it into a challenging theatrical complex. Among the new additions are two flexible stages, of 120 and 200 seats respectively, many smaller playing areas, and an open-air stage. At present the troupe includes 24 actors and actresses Estonian Drama Theatre Estonian Drama theatre started in 1920 under the leadership of Paul Sepp, who also founded a theatre school. Big data in cloud

- A set of instructions is set, on what to do with the data by selecting algorithms and setting the goal in mind. In a game, it can be achieved by granting the learner points for every right choice he does and penalizing for bad ones according to the algorithm used. - It is necessary to evaluate the models in hand by comparing the success of the algorithms and then cherry-picking the best ones from them. A good example is a demonstration of DeepMind playing a game of StarCraft II, where AI, named AlphaStar had plenty of different winning team configurations [13][14]. This whole step is rinsed and repeated until the best configuration/configurations are found. [11] - The final models are sent live to test their capabilities by monitoring them and applying fresh data. A sample presentation is AlphaStar successfully competing against real players [14].

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

was one of the first to foresee how insidiously technology would penetrate youngsters' lives, even I've been stunned at how quickly even the tiniest have become slaves to screens. Indeed, when my book came out, Facebook had just hit our shores and we were more concerned with violent video games and children watching too much TV. Today, on average, children spend five to six hours a day staring at screens. And they're often on two or more screens at once for example, watching TV while playing on an iPad. Because technology moves so fast, and children have embraced it so quickly, it's been difficult for parents to control it. And when it comes to spending a childhood in front of a screen, this generation are like lab rats. The long-term impact is not known. Even before iPads hit the market in 2010, experts were warning that 80 per cent of children arrived at school with poor co-ordination, due to a sedentary lifestyle.

Advantages and disadvantages of television

cannot keep pace with demand. People have stopped reading books and depend on TV pictures. Spoken words become more important that the written ones. TV cuts people from the real world. The virtual world becomes more important. TV is absolutely irrelevant to real living. No surprise that television is often called "chewing gum for men's brains." People become lazy, instead of doing sports they watch TV. Television takes free time of the people. Instead of joining a choir or playing football or reading books people watch various programmes. Dinnertime is often pressed by television if it is not in the kitchen. If people are deprived for various reasons of watching their favourite programmes they feel inconvenience. The best thing is to watch only selective TV programmes and not to be governed by them. Only few people today can live without television. It should be said that television continues to

Some Love Poems and English Phrases

You were holding me so tight and I didn't fight. I wanted you to stay with me, I hoped that you will never leave. When you said that I “love You” it was like dream to coming true. I said “I Love You Too” and you were taking to my hand. Now were standing here again, I' asking you if, where and when I see you again. But your answer is that “ No, no more” did I here you right, I'm not sure. I can't beleave you said goodbye to me, I'm shocked and I can't breathe, you were only playing with me. I trusted you and I loved you, but it was all a lie and I, I want to die. 'Couse you, you broke my heart, you broke me all apart. Ant the second one. I wrote it 15.03.2014. Why did you do it to me, it hurts, is it hard to see? We were so happy together, I wished it could be so forever. Why did you tell me goodbye, please, just tell me, tell me why. Didn't you care or didn't you hear, when I said I love you, know it was all true. Didn't you care or didn't you hear,

Film Studies - The Black Dahlia

For example there is a part of the dialogue in closing scene, Madeline: ``You`d rather fuck me than kill me.`` The film was made in 2006, however, set in 1947. Because of this, houses and design of the rooms depict the time. There are certain behaviour rules, formality. In the closing scene the audience sees much restriction of the rules. Codes and conventions connected to this genre are easily distinguisable. Still, ``The Black Dahlia`` is playing, developing the noir style. Two of the most important conventions in Film Noir are anti-hero and femme fatale. Anti-hero, detective Bucky Bleichert, in this particular case is played by Josh Hartnett. In older Noir movies, anti-hero is usually a detective, dominant, commited, confident and he has a personal motivator why he needs to sort out the mystery within the story. (Mystery is one of the conventions, though.) Especially in this sequence we see that Bucky is really

The Renaissance

When the plague slowly decreased in the 15th century, the population in Europe began to grow. A new middle class emerged --bankers, merchants and trades people had a new market for their services. People became wealthier and had more than enough money to spend. They began to build larger houses, buy more expensive clothes and get interested in art and literature. The middle class population also had more free time, which they spent learning foreign languages, reading, playing musical instruments and studying other things of interest. The Renaissance was especially strong in Italian cities. They became centres of trade, wealth and education. Many cities, like Venice, Genoa and Florence had famous citizens who were very rich and gave the city a lot of money. The printing of books led to a new way of thinking. Scholars of the Renaissance returned to the writings of Greek and Roman philosophers. These writings are called the "classics"

They place the wine in a spring up the road in order to chill it. Jake fishes with worms, but Bill tries fly-fishing. They both catch many fish, but Bill's fish are bigger. Over their lunch, they joke about the friends they met in the war. Bill then asks Jake if he was ever in love with Brett, and Jake says that he was "for a hell of a long time." They take a nap under the trees and then head back to the inn. They spend five days in Burguete, fishing, eating, drinking, and playing cards. They get no word from Cohn, Brett, or Mike. Summary: Chapter XIII Jake receives a letter from Mike telling him that Brett fainted on the train and that they stayed in San Sebastian for three days and won't arrive in Pamplona until Wednesday. Cohn sends a telegram announcing that he will arrive on Thursday. Bill and Jake reply to Cohn's telegram, stating that they are returning to Pamplona that night (Wednesday). Some people go abroad to see new countries, some people prefer to go to the country- side to enjoy country-life far from noise and fuss of big cities. Other people like staying at home doing nothing, but watching TV and playing computer games. Some people like to spend their holidays in cities, visiting theatres, museums and going sightseeing. But a great number of people go to the seaside. As for me, I prefer to go on holiday to the seaside. I do not like crowds. My family and I always have our holiday on the coast. Margaret Thatcher

Thatcher spent her childhood in the town of Grantham in Lincolnshire. The Roberts family ran a grocery business, bringing up their two daughters in a flat over the shop. Her father was active in local politics and religion and this played a large role in forming her political convictions. Margaret attended Huntingtower Road Primary School and later Kesteven and Grantham Girl's School. She was keen in her studies and outside school enjoyed swimming and playing hockey. After finishing school during the Second World War she applied for a scholarship to attend Somerville College, Oxford and was luckily accepted. She started studying Chemistry in 1944 in Oxford. Later Margaret became President of the Oxford University Conservative Association. Thatcher graduated from Oxford in 1947 with a B.Sc. in Natural Sciences and also gained a MA in 1950. personal troubles. Flirting, which Henry compares to bridge, allows Henry to "drop the war" and diverts Catherine's thoughts from the death of her fiancé. Likewise, the horse races that Catherine and Henry attend enable them to block out thinking of Henry's return to the front and of their imminent separation. Ironically, Henry and Catherine's relationship becomes the source of suffering from which Henry needs diversion. Henry cannot stand to be away from Catherine, and while playing pool with Count Greffi takes his mind off of her, the best divertissement turns out to be the war itself. When Catherine instructs him not to think about her when they are apart, Henry replies, "That's how I worked it at the front. But there was something to do then." The transformations of the war from fatal threat into divertissement and love from distraction into pain signal not only Henry's attachment to Catherine but also the transitory nature of happiness

People often think that gambling is a way to make easily money. Young people cannot feel the thin line between innocent playing and addiction. Gambling gets out of control easily. To collect the necessary data, a questionnaire was conducted among pupils of the 10 th and 12th grade from Kuristiku Gymnasium. Students had to give an answer to 7 questions. Those questions were about online-gambling, frequency of gambling, their biggest financial losses and winnings, reasons of gambling, and on which gambling games do they play.

At the time the band claimed this was due to dissatisfaction with the two-disc single format, a claim somewhat undermined by their subsequent single releases all being made available in two-CD formats accompanied by a 7" vinyl. Their style altered little from Placebo through Black Market Music, based around fairly straightforward guitar playing, often influenced by the style of 1970s British and American rock, and Molko's high-pitched vocals. The first single for the album, "Taste in Men", was one of their most popular, with a trance synthesiser in the background and wailing distorted guitars. Black Market Music did not receive the same level of long term recognition and media hype as Without You I'm Nothing did, but its peak sales outperformed those of its predecessor, in both the UK and France.

They also learned that Russians bluffed and red mercury didn't actually exist. So what was positive? Storyline was mostly OK. Also most objects came from the early 90's so the atmosphere was pretty good in terms of timing although some mistakes were made. And Kristjan Sarv definitely did the best acting in this movie when playing a brutal thug who didn't care about human lives. What was negative? First of all I expected real mafia being in the center movie. But the key characters were nothing but a punch of stupid thugs who wanted to get rich. Secondly the cops were weak. Specially the commander, Buldooser, played by Peeter Oja. He was supposed to be a though guy but his yelling made him look not so though at all. Also police work and investigating wasn't believable at all. Thirdly the Estonian and Russian languages

Bosinney talks to him about the color of tiles and this and that. He wants to consult with Irene, whom he finds artistic. He has plans to see a play with June. He walks over to Irene, who's playing the piano, and tells her that he doesn't flirt: if he sees something to admire, he admires it openly. Meaning that he admires her. Soames walks in and interrupts them, unknowing, with talk about the accounts of the house, which seem over budget. Irene sharply rebukes him for talking business in her drawing room, and Soames apologizes. She tells him to go off and change. He does so. Irene and Bosinney are alone again. Heritage. The genre jungle emerged from London's Jamaican diaspora. The birth of hip-hop in New York also owed much to the city's Jamaican community. 6 Christianity remains a strong influence on cultural life, particularly in music. Most people learn their music at church, and Biblical references are often used in popular songs. It is not uncommon for musicians to be playing dancehall music on Saturday night, and church music on Sunday morning. The Rastafari movement was founded in Jamaica. This Back to Africa movement believes that Haile Selassie of Ethiopia was God incarnate, the returned black messiah, come to take the lost Twelve Tribes of Israel back to live with him in Holy Mount Zion in a world of perfect peace, love and harmony. Bob Marley, a convert to the faith, spread the message of Rastafari to the world

Sam is aware of the fact that, like many others of his white working-class peers in his village, hei s stranded in the demising Tollington without a fair chance finding employment. As a social outcast, there is no useful palce for Sam in the society that has rejected him. Given his racist opinions, he feels betrayed in view of the opportunities in store for Meena. These feelings are of course augmented by Meena playing with his attraction to her, whereby she underscores her position of relative power. Sam bring people under his sway by bullying them. Mr Kumar is very typical of his generation - highly educated but häving to take more menial or mediocre jobs in order to survive in a new country. Edulugude võistlus Success-story competition „Small Town Inhabitants – Educated or Uneducated People“ To begin with, my childhood was quite ordinary, I spent a lot of time in my country home, spending most of my time playing. I have been raised by my mother. As I grew older, I got more and more interested in different things. At one point it occured to me that when I want to be successful in some field, then I really have to educate myself in that filed. When my friends have characterised me then they have mainly mentioned that I am an active person, who has been successful in different fields. I still do not think I am succesful because it is a really complicated definition, but I

South Parki lühitutvustus

Kyle is Stan's best friend, and their relationship is a common topic throughout the series Stan is usually seen solely with Kenny when Kyle is not around. Stan and Butters are generally on friendly terms, although at times Stan tends to be generally annoyed by Butters. Despite the fact that Stan often resents Cartman and enjoys making fun of him, he does show a slight bond with Cartman, and is seen enjoying himself during the few times he is shown to be playing solely with Cartman. KYLE He suffers from diabetes, and other bouts with his health have been the subject of several episodes Kyle's father Gerald is a lawyer, and his mother Sheila is a sometimes-overbearing housewife. Kyle has no biological siblings, but does have a younger adopted brother from Canada named Ike. Kyle is inept at choreographed dancing, and, in the eyes of Cartman, perpetuated the stereotype that "Jews have no rhythm".

Reasons why human beings are unique

was partly driven by another uniquely human trait: our superior social skills. While both chimps and humans cooperate, we will always help more Comparative studies between humans and chimps show that while both will cooperate, humans will always help more. Children seem to be innate helpers. They act selflessly before social norms set in. Studies have shown that they will spontaneously open doors for adults and pick up "accidentally" dropped items. They will even stop playing to help. Their sense of fairness begins young. Even if an experiment is unfairly rigged so that one child receives more rewards, they will ensure a reward is fairly split. Children show 'proactive' kindness, unlike our close relatives (Credit: Thinkstock) Children show 'proactive' kindness, unlike our close relatives (Credit: Thinkstock) We know that chimpanzees also work together and share food in apparently unselfish ways. Oliver twist - kokkuvõte

Fagin gave him a bed to sleep in and he went to sleep. Chapter 9: Oliver awoke the next morning to see Fagin examining several watches and rings in a wooden box. When he discovered Oliver was awake he questioned him on what he had seen, and admired him for his bravery. Jack, or Dodger, then came in with another boy from the previous evening, Charles Bates, and they showed the old Jew the things they collected from the execution they attended that morning. They then began playing a game where they would practice picking Fagin's pockets. Two girls with painted faces, Nancy and Bet came to visit the young men, and after drinking spirits, they went out with the young man. The Jew pointed out to Oliver what a nice life the young men led, and Oliver asked if they were done working for the day. Fagin said they were and told Oliver to try to lift the handkerchief from his pocket. Oliver succeeded, and began to learn how to `unmark' them

Bob Marley

True to this belief Marley went against all surgical possibilities and sought out other means that would not break his religious beliefs. He also refused to register a will, based on the Rastafari belief that writing a will is acknowledging death as inevitable, thus disregarding the everlasting (or everliving, as Rastas say) character of life. Collapse and treatment The cancer then metastasized to Marley's brain, lungs, liver, and stomach. After playing two shows at Madison Square Garden as part of his fall 1980 Uprising Tour, he collapsed while jogging in NYC's Central Park. The remainder of the tour was subsequently cancelled. Bob Marley played his final concert at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 23, 1980. The live version of "Redemption Song" on Songs of Freedom was recorded at this show.[5] Marley afterwards sought medical help from Munich specialist Josef

A similar sentiment was industrial designer Dieter Rams' motto, "Less but better" adapted from van der Rohe. The structure uses relatively simple elegant designs; ornamentations are quality rather than quantity[dubious discuss]. The structure's beauty is also determined by playing with lighting, using the basic geometric shapes as outlines, using only a single shape or a small number of like shapes for components for design unity, using tasteful non-fussy bright color combinations, usually natural textures and colors, and clean and fine finishes. Tsehhov daam koeraga Chekov Lady and the Lapdog

More from superstition than remorse, Hermann goes to the funeral service for the Countess (Chapter V). When he approaches the coffin, he thinks he sees the dead woman wink "mockingly" at him. In his confusion, and contrary to his normal habit, Hermann quaffs a quantity of wine over dinner, returns home to sleep, waking at a quarter to three in the morning, whereupon he appears to receive a visitation from an old woman, whom he recognises as the Countess. This visitor tells him that he may win by playing the three, seven and ace, in that order, at the rate of one card a day, and thereafter never again in his life; he will earn her forgiveness if he marries Lizaveta Ivanovna. Three, seven and ace, we are told in the climactic Chapter VI, become an idée fixe in Hermann's mind, crowding out the image of the dead Countess (with never a thought given to marriage). He thinks of gaming in Paris, but is brought by Narumov to the gambling salon of Chekalinsky, newly arrived from Moscow

It has also been influenced by American culture because of its proximity and migration between the two countries. American media and entertainment are popular if not dominant in Canada; conversely, many Canadian cultural products and entertainers are successful in the US and worldwide. Canada is a geographically vast and ethnically diverse country. There are cultural variations and distinctions from province to province and region to region. Canadian

I: You'll miss the whole show if this tyre won't pump up. [Tom works hard and the tyre becomes hard. We take the pump off and start off.] MARY: You have been a long time. We shall miss the cartoon as well as the news-reel. I: We have been as quick as we could. Do you imagine we were playing there in the mud for fun? Just try changing a wheel in the rain and dark yourself and see how you like it. MARY: All right, dear. Don't lose your temper. I: Well, Tom, we'd better get on quickly; perhaps we'll get there before this one goes flat. TOM: That's the idea. What about stopping at a garage and letting them mend the puncture while we're in the cinema? I: That's a bright idea. [We pull up at a garage.] MAN: Petrol, sir? Oil? I: No, thanks. GESTURES If you know your subject thoroughly, and believe in it with your heart, good news are to come! Gestures will become automatic, almost instinctive. Then, the only selftutoring you need to do is study yourself on videotape to sort out the weak gestures from the strong ones. You'll see them, don't worry. What are examples of "weak gestures"? · Fiddling with your spectacles. · Playing with a pen or paper clip. · Reaching in your pocket and unconsciously jiggling the change there. · Repeatedly patting your hair, scratching your head, pulling on an ear, buttoning and unbuttoning a coat. · Frequently clearing your throat. · Using any single gesture over and over and over again. Why are these bad? In a single word, they are distracting. They distract the audience's attention from your message.
