Book Report Graham Greene ,, Our Man in Havana" Liis Mägi, 12c I chose a book by Graham Greene titled ,,Our man in Havana". The reason why I decided to read exactly this book was that I found the plot introductory quite interesting and as I started reading I realised I was right. I found it quite humorous book, written in the third person and set in Havana, Cuba. The story is quite easy to follow. The novel was written right before the American embargo and the Cuba missile crisis of the 1960's, so the author was quite surely influenced by the political events at that time and created his own vision of the future. The main character of this book is Jim Wormlod, who is a vacuum cleaner salesman, but is offered a job in the British secret service by Hawthorne. He has to spy on Cuba for England

Smoking is harmful to humans. The smoke contains many toxic agents. Smoking causes all sorts of horrible diseases - which can be fatal. Usually young people begin to smoke mostly out of boredom or large nervous tension. Many young people also want desperately to quit, but they will not be able to the more so because the body is accustomed to smoke too much, and if they can not reach your collection they become nervous. Smoking damages the nerve cells. If a person does not smoke anymore, he starts to heal the whole feeling in a few days. Physical form and stamina will increase slowly. Economically, the person holds a total of smoke at the expense of thousands of euros a year. When people stop smoking, lose many of their jobs. With this sort of punishment county sets itself at the same level as the criminal and this may increase aggressiveness and lover the value of human life. People who support capital punishment have as good arguments as those who are against it. Capital punishment helps to preserve people's belief in justice and the power of law. It also may help preventing wild justice. For this kind of punishment is the fact that public opinion has always supported it. It would be cynical to decide whether a person dies or lives based on financial consideration. If a person makes a crime, which is very well thought of and premeditated (as for homicide) capital punishment, in financial point of view, would certainly be cheaper, than his lifelong deportment on taxpayer collect. It is hard to take one position, for there are pros and cons to be considered. But as far as I am concerned, capital punishment should not be abolished. Especially for premeditated and harsh crimes.
For and against being rich and famous One point in favour of being a rich and famous person is probably a great feeling to expire the life fully. A feeling inside when we know that a lot of people like you; that your fans adore you and if you are a famous persons you are a god to your fans. Firstly, celebrities have a lot of money, which they earn in a simple way. Also they don't have to worry about their future. They can do whatever they are pleased to. Travel wherever they want, live wherever, eat and buy whatever they want.
It is certainly tue that treating people with smoking-related illnesses costs millions of dollars a year. Many people who have gone down the road of smoking don't have enough money to pay for their treatment. Another point in favour of banning smoking in all public places is the fact that passive smoking is very harmful. A lot of people and not only adults but children too who don't smoke may not even have an idea that being close to a smoking person can be very dangerous. One argument against is that the police has better things to do than to enforce a smoking ban. Smoking is something that all people won't just quit and the trouble for the police for punishing all of them is just too big in quantity. Also you can't force people to stop smoking if they don't want to. Smoking is a habit but it isn't very easy to quit and all of the smokers don't necessarily want to do it either.

Children's parents should decide whether he/she should get paid. I think that if a person is old enough to understand he does all those domestic jobs for himself he should not be paid.
On the other hand I think that the topic should be You read what you are, beacause you choose what you want to read. Let's take the same UFO example. If you are a realist, then you'd choose a book that says that they aren't real, but if you're someone who likes fiction then you'll probably choose a book that says they are real. And so it seems that you decide what you want to believe and be, based on what kind of a person are you. I believe, that I am someone, who likes to read both sides of a story and then decide whitch one seems more plausible. School Uniform is a bad thing To start with, school uniforms have many good sides for students. However, uniforms also have bad sides which are particulary involved with financial problems. Each and every person in the world is different, and by making people dress the same, they can't express themselves fairly the way that they would like to. Having school uniforms is not necessary, and there are many reasons to prove it. Some people say that wearing a school uniform stop the bullying, because all children wear the same clothes. But it's not true - the bullys and other evil student will always find another reason to make somebody feel bad - like glasses, pimples or overweight.
I went dancing with two classmates and I was connected with others by similar interests. I visited one girl every week and we played together for a while. Recently, my friends have changed, again. I have gotten distant with ones and made new friends, with whom I can laugh endlessly and who will always listen to my problems and give the best advice. The topic Im going to speak about is marriage. There is an opinion that some peoples say that an arranged marriage is the best option. I dont agree with that argument, because in a couple who wants to get married they should love each other, without love in my opion there is no sense to marry. Losses of our life Losing is an everyday phenomenon, whether you lose a sock, a pen or your keys, but aswell things, people tend to get lost too. Some are found and alive, but some are not, and it´s a tragedy. I can´t imagine losing a beloved one, it would be awful, but so many of us have to face this terrible situation, where you don´t know if the person is safe and alright. As always, there are situations where the person doesn´t want to be found, or where she/he disappears without a trace. The reasons of disappearing are very variable, from criminal cases, trafficking in human beings, getting recruited as prostitutes to very hidden and deeply personal matters. The average amout of missing people in Estonia is 199 persons per year, although 70% of the missing persons in 2001-2005 were found alive, luckily. But, is it the best choice? What good or bad could that do? For sure one year makes a difference, it can make people lazier, but it can also give time to think about his/her future plans. There can be many reasons for a gap year: money, people go to work or some people go to the army for not taking a year for the army during studies in the university or just being tired of school. I think that a gap year is almost the only option for a young person to have a little rest, to enjoy young life, because life never becomes easier and the next chance to stretch out could be when we reach our pension time. To go on a bit longer holiday abroard with best friends is for sure expensive, but I think that it would be the time to remember. A gap year can change the option made earlier which subject a student wanted to study in university, and maybe it is the only time when a student is able to think what he/she really wants.

Essay How the right of privacy was viewed in the 1890s and 2010s. Comparison between two articles by Warren & Brandeis and Julie Cohen The two articles have questioned - What is privacy ?
