Friends have more influence than family

Friends have more influence than family Mikk Ludvi 10.a Parents always want best for their children. However when people are teenager they don't want their parent's advises or opinions .In this period the most important thing in young adults life is being popular, having more friend, more parties or more fun. For them parents are only bar to achieve that. Parents don't influence their children and they don't understand each other. Therefore I think teenagers are influenced by their friends more than their parents. Teenagers can get along well with their peers easily because they have same expectations about life. In school, in their social life they always with their friends.

Priorities of Estonian History

Perhaps the Muscovite people truly were vicious towards Baltic peoples, but perhaps not. Whatever the case, his biases colored his writing, likely distorting the truth as to how things actually were and how events actually happened.1 The same can be said of chronicles written by German B. Russow, who praised Swedish rule, and D. Fabricius, a Catholic Pole who favored Polish rule and rendered a Polish perspective of history. Russian history during the imperial period also shows such an ideological influence. Juri Fiodorovitsch Samanarin, for example, strove to explain to the Russians its mission and identity as the ruling people, not merely a minority, 1 Johann Renner, "Liivimaa ajalugu 1556-1561" (Tallinn: Olion, 2006), 2-13. and to show to the native peoples that they were second rate citizens. Jefgraf Vassilievitsch Tscheshikhin also displayed such partiality when he wrote, "There can be no place in Russia . .

The Tower of London

The Tower in the Middle Ages The Tower of London, that formidable symbol of England's national heritage, served as a royal residence as well as a prison in the medieval period. The monarch traditionally spent the night at the Tower prior to his or her coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey. It has been the stage on which much of England's dramatic but often sad and bloody saga of royal history has been played out. The founding of the Tower The Tower of London was founded by King William the Conqueror. After his coronation on Christmas Day, 1066, William hastily ordered the erection of a wooden fortress between the

con sus mujeres en la casa durante la cena (Finch 128). The first translation of the tragicomedia that is interesting for me is by James Mabbe and Dorothy Severin. It is one of the most well-known translations of La Celestina. Mabbe translated the work while Severin edited it and added the introduction and notes. The original translation by Mabbe was in 1631 in London, and uses English from that period. This is actually his second translation of the same work; the first was completed in 1598. In 1972 the Tamesis Press published an edition of the 1598 (almost exactly 100 years after the original writing by Rojas) work by Guadalupe Lacalle, who "concluded that the printed edition of 1631, is a complete, but bowdlerized text, as Mabbe had made a large number of alterations and mentions of God's name or religious observance, not to mention some of the less religious observance of the Spanish

Kuidas mõjutas Rootsi aeg elu Eesti alal ?

Eesti on kuulunud mitmetele erinevatele riikidele. Üheks neist on Rootsi. Rootsi aeg kestis tinglikult 1645 - 1710. Eesti rahvastikuarv on aastasadade jooksul kõvasti kõikunud. Üheks suureks rahvaarvu languseks oli Liivi sõja period (1558- 1583). Sel ajal kahanes eestlaste arv ligi poole võrra ehk ~300 000-lt 100 000-le inimesele. Peale Liivi sõda järgnes Rootsi aeg ning nähti suurt vaeva rahvaarvu taastamisega. Eestisse hakkas inimesi liikuma Rootsist, Poolast, Venemaalt, Soomest. Mahajäätud kodud leidsid endale uued omanikud ning elu hakkas jälle normaalsuse poole liikuma. Uue hoo sai sisse majanduse areng. Liivi sõda oli endaga kaasa toonud kaupmeeste laostumise. Taas ärkas ellu kaubandus

Fast food

cheaper ingredients such as high fat meat, refined grains, and added sugar and fats, instead of nutritious foods such as lean meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Is fast food bad? There is no such thing as a "bad" food. All foods can fit into a healthy meal plan. It's true that fast food is usually high in fat, calories, cholesterol and sodium, but eating fast food every once in a while is not going to cause you problems. If you eat too much fast food over a long period of time, though, it can lead to health problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. Is some fast food healthier than others? Many fast food chains are revamping their menus to respond to customers comments. For example, some chains no longer serve foods with trans fat, and many have menu items that contain fruits and vegetables. If you are having fast food more than once a week, try to make healthier choices. Where can I find nutrition facts about fast food?

Christmas in Norway

It is believed that he plays tricks on children, if they forget to serve him a bowl of special porridge. The gnome is known as Julebukk or `Christmas buck,' and his looks are similar to those of a goat. Julebukk is associated with the Viking times, when the pagans worshipped Thor and his goat. The idea of Julebukk is very old and still, very dear to the Norwegians, especially around Christmas. During the Viking period, a person used to dress in a goat skin and carry a goat head on the Christmas Day. He would join the party and die during the course of the evening, to return to life. In the early Christian era, the goat came to be associated with the devil and would appear in the party while merry making and celebrations were on. This game was forbidden by the church and the state by the end of the middle age. However, in the more recent times, the goat has reappeared in the

Gay rights

Gay rights According to an opinion widely held, homosexuality is said to be freer today than ever before. It is present and visible everywhere: in the street, in the newspapers, on television, at the movies. It is even supposedly completely accepted, judging by the recent legislative advances made in many countries for the recognition of same sex couples. Certainly, some work remains necessary in order to eradicate the last vestiges of discrimination. But with changing public opinion, it will only be, according to some people, a matter of time, the time needed for a movement begun many decades earlier to achieve its goals. To tell the truth, the 20th century has undoubtedly been the most violently homophobic period of history: deportation to concentration camps under the Nazi regime, Soviet gulags, blackmail and persecution in the United States in the McCarthy era... Obviously, all of that can seem very distant to us now. But quite oft...

The statue of Zeus at Olympia

He began working on the statue around 440 B.C. When the stature was completed, it barely fitted in the temple. The first archaeological work on the Olympia site was done by group of French Scientists in 1829.They were able to locate the outlines of the temple and found the fragments of the sculpture. The fragments ate still on display today at the Louvre. The next expedition, that came form Germany in 1875, worked at Olympia for five summers. Over that period they were able to map out most of the buildings there. They discovered more fragments of the temple’s sculpture, and located the remains of the pool in the floor that contained the oil fot the statue. In the 1950’s an excavation uncovered the workshop of Phidias which covered beneath an early Christian Church.Archaeologists found sculptor’s tools, a pit fot casting bronze, clay moulds, modelling plaster and even a portion of the elephants tusks which had supplied the ivory for the statue.

Autodes kasutatavad pneuma-ja hüdrosüsteemid

Auto manufacturers are still trying to catch up with the combination of features offered by this 1955 suspension system, typically by adding layers of complexity to an ordinary steel spring mechanical system Air Suspension. Air suspension is a type of vehicle suspension powered by an engine driven or electric air pump or compressor. This pump pressurizes the air, using compressed air as a spring. Air suspension replaces conventional steel springs. If the engine is left off for an extended period, the car will settle to the ground. The purpose of air suspension is to provide a smooth ride quality and in some cases self-leveling. While not using high pressure mineral oil, the system aims to achieve a result similar to the hydropneumatic suspension arrangement introduced in 1954 by Citroën. With a "leg up" on other companies, GM used its experience with commercial busses' air suspension to introduce systems for its car lines, beginning with the 1958 model year. Air bags at
