Stress

Stress People experience various forms of stress that is a natural part of people’s lives and it can motivate people to work harder. But if it becomes negative stress, it can affect people’s ability to be positive. To begin with, the main source of stress for young people is school and family. Daily homework takes a large part of our free time. Getting a bad grade causes a disappointment. Especially if the day before there was a lot of learning for the examination. Family may have a greater effect on young people. The death of a loved one, sick family member and relationship problems can lead to being under negative pressure. What is more, stressed youth are pessimistic and in a long period of time it becomes unhealthy. One of the ways to handle stress is doing what I love, such as taking pictures of nature

I am really amused by the Estonian literature. I like to read books and stories from Andrus Kivirähk and F.R. Kreutzwald. English is one of the world most spoken language. You can hear it everywhere, no matter which part of the world are you in. In the third grade of elementary scool I started to learn English as a second language so since then i have learned it for nine years and i have reached the level of B2, like all the poeple in Estonia who have finished the high school. For me another helpful nuance in learning English were Hollywood movies and Cartoon Networks Channel. I learned the first basic words and sentences from the cartoons. How to Stop Water Pollution

Keep Machinery in Good Working Order The oil used to lubricate engines in all types of machines needs to be changed regularly. When the oil is changed, it presents a number of environmental hazards if not disposed of properly. As oil moves throughout the crank case of an engine, it breaks down into many different types of carcinogenic and even mutagenic compounds. When a leaky engine releases this oil into the street, it runs to the sewer and from there it becomes part of a laundry-list of contaminants that makes its way into waterways. Even a small drip of oil can turn into a disaster when you consider the fact that there are more than 250 million cars on the road in the United States alone. Even if all of these vehicles were in perfect working order, the disposal of the used oil would still be a huge issue. Clean Up Beaches and Waterways Wherever you have waterways that see a lot of human recreation, you will almost always see lots of evidence of human use

Irish history

Irish History Tallinn 2009 Ireland is the third-largest island in Europe, and the twentieth-largest island in the world. It lies to the north-west of continental Europe and is surrounded by hundreds of islands and islets. To the east of Ireland, separated by the Irish Sea, is the island of Great Britain. Politically, the state Ireland (described as the Republic of Ireland) covers five-sixths of the island, with Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, covering the remainder in the north-east. The first settlements in Ireland date from 8000 BC. By 200 BC Celtic migration and influence had come to dominate the island. Relatively small scale settlement by both the Vikings and Normans in the Middle Ages gave way to complete English domination by the 1600s. Protestant English rule resulted in the marginalisation of the Catholic majority, although in the north-east, Protestants were in the majority

Estonians: What we’re really like

Estonians: What we're really like In my opinion Estonians are quite serious, we work hard and we're well-educated. We love to travel and a lot of people have a job or go to school somewhere outside Estonia. Ernest Hemingway once said that at least one Estonian can be found in every part of the world. Many of us have emigrated to the US, Canada or Australia. Some of them came back after the restauration of the independence in 1991. Estonia is a quite young country with painful history but I think we've been strong and kept our heads up. We may have a little country but it doesn't mean that the people are small too. The Estonians are more self-confident than you can ever imagine. We have many talented people, especially

Stress in the life of young people today

Young people are very often having problems and misunderstandings with their parents. That's mostly because young people are going through puberty, trying to find themselves and their `part' in the world. Stress is often caused by schoolwork. For example when a student is sick for maybe 2 weeks or so, then homework starts to pile up and it's pretty hard to get back on the track again and needs a lot of dedication. In conclusion I would like to say that stress is becoming a usual part of young peoples life today. The problem is caused by different things, mainly connected to school, work and relationships.

Juugend kunst/ Art nouveau

designs that united flowing, natural forms resembling the stems and blossoms of plants Art Nouveau is characterized by its use of a long, sinuous, organic line and was employed most often in architecture, interior design, jewelry and glass design, posters, and illustration There were used alot of muted greens, browns, yellows, and blues. Art Nouveau's ubiquity in the late-19th century must be explained in part by many artists' use of popular and easily reproduced forms, found in the graphic arts. Art Nouveau was often most conspicuous at international expositions during its heyday. The style went out of fashion for the most part long before the First World War, paving the way for the development of Art Deco in the 1920s, but it experienced a popular revival in the 1960s, and it is now seen as an important predecessor - if not an integral component - of modernism.

A Computer in my life The computer has become an important part of our lives. There are very few jobs that don't use a computer and pupils in schools use them too. A common thing with people today is computer addiction. Some people just have to sit the whole day in front of the computer and just can't leave. I also spend a large amount of time in front of the computer, but I think I am not a computer addict because I use the computer mostly for studying and catching up with friends, but most of my free time I like to spend outside.

The Finnish landscape is mostly flat with few hills and its highest point, the Halti at 1,324 metres, is found in the extreme north of Lapland at the border between Finland and Norway. The landscape is covered mostly (seventy-five percent of land area) by coniferous taiga forests and fens, with little arable land. The most common type of rock is granite. It is a ubiquitous part of the scenery, visible wherever there is no soil cover. Moraine or till is the most common type of soil, covered by a thin layer of humus of biological origin. The greater part of the islands are found in southwest in the Archipelago Sea, part of the archipelago of the Åland Islands, and along the southern coast in the Gulf of Finland. Finland is one of the few countries in the world whose surface area is still growing.

There are also many people who don´t care. There are very many bad things about smoking. It very dangerous to pregnancy adn causes different illnesses. Smoking is very bad to lungs. However, cigarettes are very expensive people still don´t leave smoking. Smoking is part of they life. They think that it normal to go smoking every single hour. I know some people who do like that. They just have to go because it like a habit. Non-smoker think that it time wasting, but to them it very important part of their day. All those things still don´t justify smoking, because it really serious and dangerous thing. I think that we can´t bann smoking, but we can create more no- smoking areas. Short History of the School In the brochure, there should be a section for the school history to show people how long this school has been working and how successful it has been over the years. Secondly, why there should be a part fot history is for people to understand the school's motto and ethics better. Other Schools in the Area In my opinion, other schools in the area should also be noted because it shows the good location of this school. From the moment the Detroit convent girl hitch-hiked to New York 20 years ago with a burning ambition to be the world's most famous woman, she has shown an amazing talent for transformation. It is no coincidence that Steven Spielberg is looking for a woman of his adaption of Arthur Golden's best-selling novel, Memories of a Geisha. And if her new Geisha look is a part of Madonna's campaign to secure the part, who can blame her? Madonna has always been a brilliant consolidator of trends, picking up on an existing look and making it her own. When she first bounced into the charts, it was a trashy punk. The furs and glitzy jewellery she wore for the video Material girl made Sean Penn fell in love with her. When the marriage with Penn formally ended she was already involved with Warren Beatty. Linguistics lexicon handout

LEL 2E Notes on Vocabulary One of the key facts about the lexicon of any language is that it reflects in various ways the physical and cultural environment in which the language is spoken. A people unfamiliar with, say, horses is unlikely to have a word for `horse'; similarly with ploughs, printing presses, and internet porn sites. For the most part this is trivial it's hard to imagine how it could be otherwise, given the general nature of human language. People tend to make a great deal of the alleged fact (see Pullum 1989) that "the Eskimos have lots of words for snow", but it doesn't take much thought to realise that any language spoken in a given physical and cultural environment is likely to have efficient ways of referring to distinctions that are important in that environment. That doesn't mean that you can read very much into

Economy of Estonia.

Engineering products and equipment manufactured in Estonia range from cables, mobile phones and computers to security equipment for cars, laboratory equipment, different hoists and other equipment for different industries. The economic changes of the 1990s had an especially severe effect on the chemical industry as many of the enterprises were oriented to the Soviet military industry and their products became unnecessary after Estonia regained its independence. The principal part of it is constituted by the export of petroleum products from Russia. Other Russian goods that have been transported through Estonia are grain and fertilizers. Another important area is passenger shipping which is directly linked to tourism. The Estonian national air company Estonian Air has also proven successful as it has managed to increase both cargo volumes and the number of passengers. A large part of freight transport is still done by road

Most countries observe their respective independence days as a national holiday, and in some cases the observance date is controversial or contested. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday, or Easter Friday, though the latter properly refers to the Friday in Easter week. Describing People

to others, because she laughs a lot and is a very positive person. Marin likes to socialise and help others in every way that she can. She is very nice and neat and the most helpful person I know. But all the bright sides have always something negative. So do Marin. She really is a very attractive and friendly person, but when she gets angry, you should not be in her sight. She never hurts anyone physically, but her words can cause more damage than a thousand hits. She likes to take part in every action where possible so she has many hobbies. First of all, she is a very good tennisplayer. She also takes part in a dancing practise. Marin loves little kids and she likes to spend time with them in every free second she has. So she also acts in different camps as an educator. She is adorable! Considering all the things, there is too much positive sides in Marin to dislike her. She is popular with cowds and a non-smoker. She likes kids and helping others.
