Money is not the Most Important Thing in Life

for a longer life In addition, most people would agree that personal happiness easily outweighs money in importance. Even if an individual is extremely rich, this does not necessarily lead to happiness. In some cases, the contrary is true and vast wealth brings with it a whole range of problems and insecurities. To sum it all up, although there are those who would rank money as the single most important thing in life, most people would disagree. Money, has an important part to play but perhaps the world would be a more harmonious place to live in if capital was kept in proportion and society dealt with moral issues. To Protect or not Protect Minor Languages

To Protect or not Protect Minor Languages Minor language is a language that is spoken in a minor area in a territory. For example Estonian is a minor language, because it has so little amount of speakers, just over a million comparing to German that has at least 100 million native speakers. Many minor languages have been mixed together or been developed from other languages. I think that the minor languages should be protected, because with languages come with a part of culture and if we terminate the variety of cultures that have developed throughout the evolution of mankind then the world would be boring. There would be no languages to learn, no foreign songs to sing and no joy of knowing that you can speak to a foreigner in his mother tongue. Also people are more friendly and open to you if they can speak freely in their mother language. But not protecting the minor languages can also be a good thing. As we know the world is

Stress in the life of young people

normal. The problem is that the age of people suffering from the stress is getting younger every year. We are all a little different and and also respond differently to situations that make us feel stressed. It is clear that there are many things that cause stress, especially when one is a teenager still trying to find his place in the world and finding out what to do with his life. The reasons may be upcoming exams, homework, new school, taking on a new responsibility school is a huge part of teenager's life and studying may often cause stress. Another thing that causes a lot of stress in the life of young is having bad relations. Being left out of the group, being harrased or having troubles with parents. These things have a big impact on our lives. Young people want to belong somewhere, want to feel like someone out there cares about them. It is also worth bearing in mind that to keep the stress away, we should have a positive view of life

Tolerance and diversity

are not just the same as mine. I think that every one of us should pay respect to other people. I find it interesting to learn about other cultures and how they live. Estonia is a culturally diverse society. It is home to approximately 1,4 million people and not all of them are Estonians. Beside us consider Estonia as their home: Russians, Ukranians, Belorussian, Jews, Tatars, Germans and Poles - among of many others. They all have chosen to live here and they want to be taken as a part of our nationality. They want to be accepted and esposed. I can't understand people who can't be tolerate. I think it would be absolutely dreadful if all the people were just the same. We wouldn't have anything to learn or we couldn't widen our world-view. We would be monolingual and look all the same. We would just be one dreary crowd. Our heritage makes us all special and unique and we all should accept that. I understand that every human being has it's own beliefs and preferences, but

Competition good or bad ?

Opponents of this view say that the competition is not necessary, because we can not compare due to the fact that we all are different. Even in nature there is nothing exactly the same. Also, people have different skills- somebody can sing well, the other person is an excellent communicator, and the third is good in mathematics. How to tell who is the most talented? To sum up, there are several good and also many bad sides of competition. In my opinion competiton will not dissapear , it is part of our everyday life and also it is essential if we are able to use it sensibly.

Perseus using the beheaded head of Medusa to freeze and turn the living ones to stones once they look to it. The Mythology of Perseus and Medusa is connected to the descent of the Divine Female into Lower Conciousness. In the psysical part of the Great Year the Divine Female falls into Lower Consciousness and her shadow side emerges reflected in the unconcious Mortal Females who take control. This is also what the whore of Babylon is symbolizing. Perseus is symbolic for the returning Aether and Christ Consciousness that removes the influence and power of the lower conscious Mortal Females. The water that Perseus rides in on is also symbolic for the Aether as is the long hair of the Divine Female.

Thomas P. Hughes (1992) The Dynamics of Technological Change: Salients, Critical Problems and Industrial Revolution

„First, the word invention itself, as the exploration of salients, reverse salients; and critical problems shows, can be misleading if it connotes discontinuity. Most modern inventions seem to be a part of continuum. Invention is usually correction of a reverse salient or bringing of a system into line with salient.“ (Hughes 1992, 115) Sõna ’leiutis’ iseeneslikult on eksitav, mida on näidanud tuleviku konseptsioonid ning nende vastuolulised aspektid. Oluline on, et ei aetaks segamini esiletõusvaid ja vastutöötavalt esiletõusvaid aspekte kriitiliste probleemidega. Probleem sõnastatakse esiletõusvate aspektide põhjal ning probleemi täpne määratlemine ise

My fifth teacher was the one who taught me almost everything that I know now, in her lessons I was never bored, because we had so much to do during her lessons, we singed songs, read poems, did group works, where we only could talk in English and when she saw that someone was bored she left him/her more difficult homework and because of that we all took part of her lessons. Although it was hard in her lessons it was the only lesson where I used to learn. But she (the fifth teacher) did not teach me everything, I have also learned a lot by just watching movies with English subtitles and whenever I saw a new word I paused the film and translated that word into Estonian language. The other thing that have helped me is working in a guest house where I have to talk in English because most of the quest are not from Estonia. Rihard Lille 10. a

Pros and Cons of Homeschooling

cons. Keeping your child out of a traditional school environment greatly inhibits their access to other children. Even if your child gets plenty of playtime and other opportunities to meet and interact with people his own age, this is bound to add up to far less contact than the 30+ hours in a normal school week and can lead to home school socialization issues. Missed experiences Common experiences are part of the fabric of life. These forge friendships and build memories, and may be limited in a homeschooling environment. School life is filled with plenty of exciting opportunities for children, like field trip. While you can certainly provide cultural and other opportunities while homeschooling your child, these are not the same as the child would experience in a group of his or her peers.

We Do Not Inherit the Earth From our Ancestors; We Borrow It From Our Children

dishwashers. These and many other things use more water, than people used to. Secondly we are producing a lot more, than we maybe should. It seems like the most meaningful thing nowadays is money. Maybe because of that we are over producing. If we look at the landfills we can see how full they are. I think it is that way because we produce too much and use too much packages. We should produce only as much we really need or in the future a really big part of earth would be covered with trash and air full of smog and acid rain. Also we should think some reusable way for packaging. Thirdly we are not thinking what we do with our everyday behaviour to the future. Almost a week ago we took a test, which showed how many planets is your ecological footprint. Mine was 3,22. It shocked me and after that I have started to think more about easy things we can do often. Like turning the water off while brushing your teeth, driving less with your car

But why this house really stands out is that windows in it are situated unusually, going not in one line, but chaotically set in a façade. There are more than 1000 of them and no two are the same. The author of this creation, famous Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, says that he wanted to create the house, that will be a part of nature, as people should live in a harmony with our natural surroundings, even in the city center, as well as built homes, that would complement the nature and each of them has to be like an alive creature, unique and one and only in his kind. · Have you ever dreamt about living in an unusual home? · If you were living in an eccentric house and tourists were constantly visiting your house as a sightseeing, would it bother you? One of their leaders was Ambrosius Aurelianus and one of their victories was at the place called Mount Badon. The main leader of the Britons at this time may have been the warrior later called King Arthur. By the 7th cent. the invaders managed to conquer the greater part of the land. The invaders came from 3 powerful tribes: · The Saxons settled from the Thames Estuary westwards, in the south of England; they formed the kingdoms of Sussex, Wessex, Essex & Middlesex · The Angles settled in East Anglia, the Midlands & Northumbria · The Jutes settled mainly in Kent, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight The name Jutes died out & the conquerors are generally referred to as the Anglo-Saxons. Prague(praha)

From the beginning The oldest evidence of human habitation in the Prague valley dates from 600, 000 BC, but more numerous clues were left by hunters during the last Ice Age, about 25, 000 years ago. Permanent communities were established around 4000 BC in the northwestern parts of Prague, and the area was inhabited continuously by various Germanic and Celtic tribes before the arrival of the Slavs. The name Bohemia came from a Celtic tribe called Boii, and is still used today for the western part of the Czech Republic. Foundation of Prague In the 6th century, two Slav tribes settled on opposite sides of a particularly appealing stretch of the Vltava River. The Czechs built a wooden fortress where the residential area Hradcany stands today, and the Zlícani built theirs upstream at what is now Vysehrad. They had barely dug in when nomadic Avars thundered in, to rule until the Frankish trader Samo united the Slav tribes and drove the Avars out

The Most Important Buildings in Lai Street in Tallinn

It often shines the spotlight on new Estonian productions. Performances are given in different venues, and there is an outdoor stage for summer plays. Lai 23 is a typical merchant`s house in the Late Gothic style. It is a two-room building, the so- called diele-dornse house, in which a vestibule diele is a bigger room at the street side and a smaller living-room dornse stands behind it in the depth of the yard. 6 The central room in the house's street side part was a large, high-ceilinged entrance hall with a small kitchen under a mantle chimney. This type of chimney was unique to medieval homes, with a bottom section that widened to create a square space that would define the outlines of the small kitchen beneath it. The house also had one heated living room and several unheated rooms, basement rooms, and rooms upstairs for the storage of goods. The entrance hall typically had a higher ceiling than the adjacent rooms, as

years. Although that theory is widely accepted as a possible explanation for ice ages, it has not been proved. More than 50 theories have been put forward, but only a few have not been completely dismissed. Not long ago a new theory was published in the science journal "Nature". According to Dr. Garry Hunt, of University College, intense radiations from the nuclear explosion of a nearby supernova a star could cause the destruction of part or all of the ozone layer and in this way trigger an ice age. As for me, I like autumn best of all. The trees are covered with yellow and red leaves. Colors of these leaves that just start to wither are warm and they comfort me when I feel down. Days become shorter and the nights longer. It isn't so hot in the daytime anymore. At the end of summer apples, pears, plums and other fruit become ripe. In the South there are many oranges, peaches and

successive generations. The Tower of London in The 20th Century During the First World War eleven German spies were shot by firing squad in the Tower of London. Only one bomb was dropped on the Tower during that war and fortunately it fell on the moat. During the Second World War the Tower of London was closed to the public and the crown jewels were removed to a safer location. During the war the Tower suffered bomb damage and two 19th century buildings were destroyed. Part of the Old Hospital Block was also destroyed. Meanwhile Rudolf Hess the Deputy Fuhrer flew to Scotland in May 1941 and was imprisoned in the Tower. However only one German was actually shot in the Tower during World War II. He was a man named Josef Jakobs and he was executed in August 1941. Today the Tower of London is one of London's main tourist attractions.

For many people, money is the most important thing in the world

in the world. Somehow money is important for all of us. We need it for everything: to buy food, clothes and other bare necessities. Also we buy other things and services that are less necessity, but we just want to buy them. Money is resource for buying things, is it also a purpose? Why are we studying? Because we want to get a good job, it means for one thing that we want to get big salary. We attempt to make career to get even bigger salary, even more money. We spend huge part of our life for earning money. It looks like this is the meaning of life. Fortunately there is also other things in the life, beside material values. Joy, friends, love we can not buy such things. It is good, otherwise we would only gather money. I believe ingenously that mental values are much more important than material values. But other story is, how to use this knowledge. For example I would like to be a millionaire. I can not say that money is unimportant for me.

Piccadilly Circus is a big public space built in 1819. The word 'circus' here comes from the Latin word circle, which means a big open space where people can meet.
