The climate in Estonia

The climate in Estonia As in other northern countries, seasons varie widely in Estonia. The length of the longest day in summer is over 19 hours, while the shortest winter day lasts only 6 hours. It is not completely dark at night from the beginning of May until the end of July. Estonia, on the coast of the Baltic Sea, is at the same latitude in Europe as central Sweden and the northern tip of Scotland. In North America, the middle latitude of Estonia passes through the Labrador peninsula and southern coast of Alaska. However, due to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf Stream, the weather in Estonia is considerably milder than the continental climate characteristic of the same latitude. The temperature in the summer months (June September) is typically 15ºC...18ºC and in winter 4ºC...5ºC. Estonian weather offers many surprises. Temperatures may fluctuate by 20ºC. the sea from towns, factories and other man-made sources which cause intense algae growth. Algal blooming consumes large amounts of dissolved oxygen and in areas with poorer water exchange the oxygen runs out and living organisms will not survive there. Also, the author points out a problem considering heavy metals which increase the water toxicity. It is estimated that about half of heavy metal inputs to the North and Baltic Seas originate as air pollutants. Heavy metals are indestructible and do not break down. When they sink to the bottom and stay strapped there, they may become toxic to the organisms in the area and also, for people, birds and animals who eat the contaminated water organisms. Last but not least, oil and oil products are also playing a big role in marine pollution. In the authors opinion the most dramatic inputs of oil result from accidents. Aniansson points out

Bostoni suhkrusiirupi uputus

J.S.Bachi elulugu inglise keeles

The 10-year-old orphan moved in with his oldest brother, Johann Christoph Bach (16711721), the organist at the Michaeliskirche in nearby Ohrdruf. There, he copied, studied and performed music, and apparently received valuable teaching from his brother, who instructed him on the clavichord. J.C. Bach exposed him to the works of the great South German composers of the day, such as Johann Pachelbel (under whom Johann Christoph had studied) and Johann Jakob Froberger; possibly to the music of North German composers; to Frenchmen, such as Jean-Baptiste Lully, Louis Marchand, Marin Marais; and to the Italian clavierist Girolamo Frescobaldi. The young Bach probably witnessed and assisted in the maintenance of the organ music. Bach's obituary indicates that he copied music out of Johann Christoph's scores, but his brother had apparently forbidden him to do so, possibly because scores were valuable and private commodities at the time.

Tundra loomad

Tundra animals Reindeer Reindeer were first domesticated in Norway and northern Asia. When it was seen how valuable they were, they were brought to Alaska in 1887 and later to parts of Canada. These North American reindeer became known as caribou. Although they are called by different names, they are both considered to be a single species. Unlike deer, both the male and female have antlers. The antlers of the male are long, branched and massive, and they are a little flattened at the ends. The antlers of the female are much shorter, simpler and more slender and irregular. Their large, spreading hooves support the animal in snow in the winter and marshy tundra in the

Tourists in Estonia Everyday a we can see a ship-load of Finland tourists. And they are here for only one thing. Finns are not anyone who would like to see Estonian sight-seeings or old-town, they are here for cheap alcohol. Regular Finn are an over-weight and very loud, usually because they are drunk. And our hotels are full of Finns. If you ever visit a passenger-port and see a person who have one or more luggage carriers full of export beer boxes then you have seen our north-neighbour. The Brits Usually here are only British bachelors who want to have a stag party in our pubs. These kind of Brits are very annoying. But here are also nice old Brits, much less than bachelors but still some. Older Brits usually are with cameras and visit all the sightseeing in Tallinn. They look very intelligent and for some reasons all Brits are very skinny. The Japanese Japan is really far from Estonia but...

Artemis Fowl 5,6 chapteri kokkuvõte

It shows that she went to site fifty- seven. They lose the picture from her helmet but Foaly says that they still have the sound. Root can hear a human voice asking Holly to surrender and talking about the secret ritual. Foaly and Root go back to the camera feed and go through it slowly, seeing in slow motion a hypodermic dart fly through the air. They realize that Holly is missing in action, probably dead. They had a locator which had a very strong signal moving to north. They had blueprints. Blueprints helped to see what´s inside the ship. Artemis hid Holly´s locator into ship. Root didn´t know that and followed signal. The ship was like a trap. Root searched the ship until he found a room. In that room, there was Artemis. Artemis talked to Root through speakers and told that he is Artemis the second and he is very dangerous and everybody should keep away from him. In the corner of that room was a bomb. Root escaped to base.
