Moulin Rouge A film I really like is "Moulin Rouge". It's a film made in collaboration between the USA and Australia. What made me want to see it was the trailer which was very dark, mystic and also musical. I really like musical films. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann and stars Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The film is set in the beginning of 20 th century in Paris. The main character is a poor English poet Christian who meets a group of bohemians who tell him that he should write a musical play for them to be played at the Moulin Rouge. There Christian meets Satine, the club's star and Paris' most famous courtesan, whom he falls in love with. After some time Satine falls for him as well.

Song Festival The first song festival started the tradition of Estonian national song festivals, wich took place in 18-20 June 1869. The initiator of the idea and the arranger of the enterprise was a choral society ,,Vanemuine" in the June in 1869. Song festivals turned to musical big enterprise, which took place in present singing field in Kadriorg in 1928. There were 822 singers,56 instrumentalists, 47 male choirs and 4 brass bands. The number of participant, who were in song festival, still growed and since the fourth festival in 1891 joined also mixed chorus. In 1933 accrued as a participants women's chorus. There were about 1500 spectators. Nowadays there are much more people when it were at that time. Now the singing festival are once in every 5 years
done. I talk you about Womad litte bit. Womad took place on July 12-15, Saku Arena. I went there on July 13 and was there two days. I was there with my girlfriend and some good friends too. I am häving the time of my life, dancing and singing along to the music at the latest WOMAD festival with thousands of ohter fans from all over the country. The World of Music, Arts and Dance, or WOMAD, tries to give us a taste of the musical styles that are enjoyed all over the world, and it has become so successful that WOMAD festivals are now heldi n several countries. The fun is not only experienced by Athose in front of the stage. Although peole spirits are high, the weather is a major probleem for this British festival.
