Money

Money. Money is certainly something which is often discussed in today's world. Hardly a day goes by without the subject of money being raised in most people's lives. Everyone uses money. We all want it, work for it and think about it. If you don't know what money is, you are not like most humans. Most people don't spend much time wondering what money is, their major concern is how much they have, and how to get more. However, it is highly debatable whether it is more important than other considerations, such as health and happiness, which some people consider to be of greater significance. We use money every day to pay for things we buy. We can pay with either coins or paper

Essay You can never have too much money

You can never have too much money I have often heard people say that they can never have too much money. Money is definitely very important in our society. Also it is often said that money changes people. It is obvious that it changes how people look, but what is more important, is that wanting more and more money changes people’s values. There is nothing wrong with wanting a little bigger salary, more money from parents and so on, but you must remember that you can not be greedy and selfish. Perhaps people should pay more attention on things that do not cost, for example friendship. Money usually brings people happiness since you have the ability to buy food on your table and a roof above your head, however it takes time and energy to earn it. You may get tired, stressed and

DOES MONEY BUY EVERYTHING?

DOES MONEY BUY EVERYTHING? Money plays an important part in our lives. In several aspects, it is the most important thing in life.Without money we could not buy our food, clothes and all the other things that we need to live comfortably. We use money not only to meet the basic needs of life but also to pay for our own advancement. We use it for education which helps us to live a better life. But does money buy everything, especially happines? We live in a material world and most of our lives depend on materials for happiness and comfort. All of these materials have to be purchased and so on a very basic level, without money, you cannot survive, at least not very comfortably. This is the very first level of money buying happiness, money can buy things necessary for survival and without life, there is no happiness. Essee: Can money buy happiness?

Can money buy happiness Since I can remember I have heard people say, that money cannot buy happiness. I generally believe it to be true; the most important things in life, such as friends, family and love can't be bought. However, in today's world we must agree that life without money can be really stressful and hard. If one doesn't have any money, one can't afford to pay rent, buy food, clothes, get medical help if needed or basically do anything. For example, people in developing countries are very poor, they don't have access to pure drinking water or food and they are unable to get proper medical help and that's why in Africa there are always all kinds of diseases spreading. Money is something that can cause a lot of trouble, it makes people greedy and it can even ruin relationships, but it is also something we cannot live without

For many people, money is the most important thing in the world

For many people, money is the most important thing in the world What is the meaning of life? What is happiness? Surely everyone has asked these questions from himself and has thought about that. It can not be answered the same, because people have different personalities and value judgements. It looks like for some people happiness depends on that how much money they can earn. Money is for them the most important thing in the world. Somehow money is important for all of us. We need it for everything: to buy food, clothes and other bare necessities. Also we buy other things and services that are less necessity, but we just want to buy them. Money is resource for buying things, is it also a purpose? Why are we studying? Because we want to get a good job, it means for one thing that we want to get big salary. We attempt to make career to get even bigger salary, even more money. We spend huge part of our life for earning money

Money makes the world go round

Money makes the world go round Karl Johan Lips Money! the thing we all are working for. For few of us it has came easily by lottery, simple inventions or just having studied and listened to good advise by smart business owners, teachers and parents. Others however have had to struggle to get money because of simple reasons like not having studied in school or college, being lazy, or not doing the job correctly. Its clear that money is as important that living without it is almost impossible. But exactly how important and what is less or more important then money is left for every individual himself to decide. People use their money differently, for example their are celebrities who waste money on 5 different cars and 4 houses just to show they are rich but there are also people like Bill Gates who are very humble and donate huge amount of their money to help people who can not help themselves

Money Makes The World Go Round

Money Makes the World Go Round Money is powerful. People do everything to get money, the more the better. Some people even kill to get more money or that the other man would not get that much. Why has money become so valuable? When I was a small boy, I thought of money as a piece of paper that my parents give away at the store. Growing up, I have realized the power of this paper. It can get you everything. And by everything I mean absolutely everything. It can get you food, a house, a car, a bike, sometimes even love. When you go outside, then you often see homeless persons looking for bottles. You also see very rich people who seem to have everything but yet they want more. They all ask themselves the same question - how to get more money?

Can you buy everything for money?

Can you buy everything for money? Money is a resource for which you can afford to buy anything, of course, if this is enough money. But they are also a lot of things (values) that you can not for the money. You can not buy friendship, family, acquaintances and loved ones much more. Money can be used as means of payment can shop in peace, by paying taxes, etc.. Coming back on the friends you can not afford to buy your friends, we do not pay for this, for us who they are. But between, we have a friend do something (to help), and for a small fee to give to a friend. In my opinion, as well as many others have money in the all-powerful, for it can get things done, you should not get in when it is earned. However, I need to stay alive. Money has grown to what it is today

Essay- Money is the All Root of Evil

Essay: Money is the root of all evil Vanessa Maibaum Money is the only thing you need to pay for things you have to buy. It helps to buy and sell things and pay for the services. When money is so important, then why people say that its the root of all evil. Money is also something that causes a lot of troble. For example when you have it much then some people only are friends with you because they need money. Like, they play friends with you only because they know that when they need money then they can borrow that from you. Also it causes troble too when you do not have money. Because when you do not have it you think that you are so unhappy only because you do not have money. It is because you cannot buy things you think you need to be happy

Essee "Teenager and pocket money"

Should teenagers nowadays earn their pocket money. Many children earn their pocket money by doing some jobs at home, but lots of them do not need to work for it. I think that it depends on the specific children whether his/her parents should pay him/her. My parents do not give me money for bringing firewood or mowing the lawn. They have never paid me for such jobs and I think I would feel rather bad if they did. I have understood that I need these domestic jobs done as much as everybody else in my family. My mother doesn't get paid for feeding me, so why should I be better than her. I know a family where one of the children gets paid for simple domestic jobs and the other does not. It seems unfair to me. On the other hand, I find that getting paid for chores could

Is job satisfaction more important than money?

Is job satisfaction more important than money? There are many people who are in jobs they dislike. If you ask them about unsatisfying jobs, they definitely will answer that they do it because money is more important than job satisfaction. On the contrary, I do not agree with them. Firstly, money cannot buy you happiness. Like it is said, chase money and you will always be running. Moreover, you have only got one life to live happily and happy are you only then, when you have a rewarding job. Secondly, do what you love and the money will follow. Some people are convinced of job importants - enjoy the job you do and you may get promoted and get a pay rise. On the other hand, money is also important. Only with job satisfaction, you do not pay bills. Money is only a vehicle for achieving satisfaction

Ways of using the money to benefit the environment and the..

To: Mark Clooney From: Marju Villmann Subject: Ways of using the money to benefit the environment and the local community. Date: 15th December Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to make recommendations regarding the best ways to use the money to benefit the environment and the local community. Local concerns It would be a good idea to put money on animal pounds. This would mean that people can walk on streets without frightening homeless animals. One another suggestion would be to use this money to arrange parks and children's playgrounds. In this way, there will be a good place where to walk and play. Moreover, children could play in a protected place. Another good solution would be to buy christmas decorations. By doing this, the city will be beautiful and people will always be in a good mood and they also will be happier.

Too much money is being spent on preserving the old part of town

Too much money is being spent on preserving the old part of town The Medieval Old Town is the center of Tallinn. Most of the major national and international companies are headquartered near the Old Town. Since the economy is not in a good shape right now the question of financing the old parts of Tallinn has been raised. Many people claim that spending money on preserving the old parts of Tallinn is not the best idea when people are having hard times. They are having trouble with making money in the first place. Also there are other fields, which are more important than the Old Town, such as education that need to be financed. Nevertheless, the Old Town is very important to tourism. For this reason money spent on old parts of Tallinn is not money wasted. Tourism is extremely important in todays economy

Fast food saves our time and money? Essee

Fast food saves our time and money? There are several arguments for and against fast food. Some people find fast food the easiest way to have a full stomach, but others find that it contains too many harmful substances. I would like to discuss both the pros and the cons. On the one hand, there are definitely some good sides to fast food. First of all, buying a TV dinner saves time. After a hard day at work, you will be probably very hungry and there is nothing better than getting a ready meal. You don’t have to buy the ingredients on the dish and waste time for cooking. Furthermore, fast food is cheaper. If you live alone, it is usually cheaper to buy a meal for one at the supermarket. Also, certain junk foods like burgers and fries are notoriously cheap. On the other hand, junk food contains more fat, salt and calories. Many junk food restaurants increase the fat content in items even further by using cooking m...

Wealth does not bring happiness essay

Wealth does not bring happiness People work for money, play lottery for money and some of us even commit crimes to get money. It sometimes seems that wealth is the main values in life but it does not actually bring happiness. No matter how wealthy you are, you still can not buy love or friends. Even worse, people that seem to care about you may only be intrested in your money. Furthermore, some people work for their lives to get wealthy but unfortunately, they forget about the most important- their families. Wealth can change people the way they in point of fact never wanted to change. On the other hand, being wealthy prevents financial problems and this means less worrying. You can buy things you really need plus you can support the underprivileged and the less fortunate. Wealth in fact can be for the benefit of being happier. I also have heared

Wealth does not bring happiness. True or falce?

Wealth does not bring happiness. True or falce? Many people believe that you can do anything if you have money, they believe that money brings happiness, great fortune, fame and health. You have power and you can buy whatever you like. On one hand, it is true but on the other hand it is false. Money can improve your lifestyle in many ways. It can help you buy fresh food, it can help you get good medical care. Money also allows you to travel and meet new people, new places and new civilizations. It permits you to have a lot of free time to relax, do the things you like and buy all the stuff you like. On the other hand, money makes you greedy and selfish. The more you make the less you spend on charities or donations. You may become a victim of its power! Many people become addicted to luxury. And also, money cannot buy you good relationships, you cannot buy people's feelings, you have to earn them

Money is not the Most Important Thing in Life

Money is Not the Most Important Thing in Life One of the main idea of today's busy and hectic lifestyle is to get more and more money and posessions, achieve higher goals, while the important aspects in life are often forgotten or less valued. However, the saying that you cannot buy everything, is not just a nugatory phrase. There are things in life which are a lot more precious than money could ever buy. Perhaps the modern world enables the material thinking. The constant commercials, for instance, in bus stations, saying "the one who has more things when he/she dies is the winner", are good ways to brainwash people. That is why crowds rush to supermarkets and malls, when some ''shopping rally'' is announced to buy. By doing that, people start neglecting the valuable immaterial substance. From the point of view of the individual, money is vital for survival

But before is needed to finish the school. It is not enough, because be some time before that to live together. Must also find a good and rewarding job, because weddings arevery expensive at this time. But if two peoples want to get married then money is not an obstacle. The best things in life are free

The best things in life are free Obviously money is important in our lives. Without it we'd have no home to live in, no food to eat and no clothes to wear. Earning a lot of money is the goal of people in their lives. But even if you have millions of dollars, there are some things that you'll never have with money. Many people are born with a some kind of talent. Money can certainly advance your skills by buying music lessons or coaching sessions, but money cannot buy a talent. People can learn to do certain things well by taking lessons but the true gift to do it well can't be bought. Even after years of lessons you can't really play piano or sing as well a person who have the real talent from birth. Money doesn't confer good behavior. There are many rich people who are rude and with no manners but also there are plenty of poor people who demonstrate perfect manners and respect for others

Reasons why people work

Reasons why people work In today's society it is known that people work because they need money to live. As Leonardo da Vinci said " God sells us all things at the price of labour " and unfortunately it tends to be true. However, there are still some of the other reason why people work. As Mothet Teresa said " Work without love is slavery" and fortunately there are many people in world who work because they love what they do. For example artists, musicians and actors do not earn a lot of money, however they can give the world something we need- entertainment.

I have saved a lot of money to buy my dream apartment in Tallinn. What kind of apartment would I like to buy? The apartment has to be in the downtown, it would be perfect, if it is located in Tallinn’s old town. The apartment should definitely have excellent view to the old town, it should be large and wide. I would love, when the apartment is in old house and if it is renovated, but still has some vintage style. The most important thing is that the apartment has to have two or more floors. But like many other things, as we are witnessing on almost daily basis, that kind of life brings both positive and negative sides. Firstly, celebrities have a lot of money , which they earn in a simple way. Also they don't have to worry about their future. They can do whatever they are pleased to. Travel wherever they want, live wherever, eat and buy whatever they want. Secondly, if you are young and your parents are rich you can start using the advantages of being rich already as a kid. For example you can go to a private school or even to a private kindergarten. On the other hand , their wealth and fame make their life stressful. Moreover , it

Essay - The best things in life are free

The best things in life are free There is a saying that the best things in life are free. It's certainly true that money can't buy you happiness, but can you truly be happy if you don't have any money at all? On one hand, things like food, clothes and having a decent home to live in are quite essential to living a happy and normal life. These are basic needs that humans have, but none of those are free and they all cost money. But, for all that money is useful and good to have around, for all that it can buy, there are quite a few things that it can't buy. Money can't buy you thing like friends and family, love, health, knowledge and intelligence, and the list could go on and on. Career Needs and Wants

The second thing I want to point out is stability. Stability is the second important thing. State companies are those, who have stable job, because country supports these companies and give the all the job. When you don´t have stable job, then maybe you don´t do your job correctly and you get fired. Then you have to search a new job. Anyway, I like the stable work. The most important thing I want to point out is money. Money gives you all, like residence, food and amusement. I would like to earn much money in future. When i have money, I can buy things i want to, not things that I can. When I have money, I can move from countryside to a big city, closer to my work. My family would be happier, when we have things we like and enjoy. The three most important needs and wants in my opinion are good environment, stable work and money. In a nutshell I want good job and luxurious life.

Report to the Board of Governors

Report to the Board of Governors. Introduction The main principal aim of this report is to describe a fund-raising day organised for disadvantaged children and to make some recommendations for the next year. Methods of fund raising Our charity organisation has been going in for collecting money to support disadvantaged children in Britain already for seven years. There are some verified ways to collect money, such as a street collection, house-to-house collection and jumble sales. A large amount of money was raised by the house-to house collection. It`s about a 40% of the whole money we got for these children. Also income from the street collection is really nice as well 30%. So, a 20% of the pie chart I made takes the jumble sale and 10% - other ways of collecting money. Overview This year it was decided to organise a fund-raising day for the charity. It was the nice and cheerful time

Mamma Mia

Kõige meeldejäävamateks lugudeks olid: ,,Super Trouper", "Money, Money, Money","The Winner Takes It All". Muusikali meeleolu oli väga lustakas, kuna laulud olid üldjuhul lõbusad ning nendele lavaseaded hästi tehtud, samas ka balletitrupi tantsud ning koori osalemine muusikalis mõjus etendusele kui tervikule hästi. Tegemist on 70ndate aastate Rootsi kultusbändi ABBA hittidel põhineva muusikaliga, mis on 1999. aastast alates lummanud vaatajaid üle maailma. ,,Mamma Miat!"

The most important thing for a happy life

The most important thing for a happy life There are a lot of things that are needed for a happy life. Some people think the most important thing is money, some people think it is good health. In my opinion, the most important thing for a happy life is a little bit of everything. I do not think it is just money or family or an important job that will make my life happy. However, I do not think i have to have it all just a little bit of everything which means a close family, money, good health and a good job. Despite that, I do not think to it is always possible to have it all. There is always something that keeps people from being happy. Some people are not happy even if they have everything they will still find something to complain about. Consequently, I believe it does not matter to some people if they have a good job and a lot of money they will still find a reason for being unhappy.

Shopping in my life

I like shopping with my friends. I buy clothes once a month with my friends, usually on Saturdays. Sometimes I shop with some member of my family for example with my mother. My mum can give me some good advises. When I buy new clothes, I look for quality clothes, which last longer. My tastes aren't very expensive and I'm not exactly into brand names. I usually buy clothes in Terranova. I spend quite a lot, but I always think carefully before I buy something because my family doesn't have much money to waste. I always go to the sales. When I need some money, I ask my dad or mum and they give me some. I don't have my own credit card but my dad has one. I love fashion clothes. I like jeans, sweat shirts and tops. I wear them every day at school and my favourite colours are pink and purple. I enjoy buying clothes very much. I always have fun shopping experience. Usually I spend a very little money on snacks or sweets. I don't help my parents with the household chores. My mother
