Irish National Costums

Legend has it that resourceful Saint Patrick made use of the three-lobed shamrock as a diagram to explain the Holy Trinity to his uneducated congregation. However, the pre-Christian Irish had long associated the shamrock with Trefulngid Tre-eochair ("The Triple Bearer of the Triple Key"), the spring fertility god manifestation, whose symbol can be a shamrock or three legs spiraling together (as seen on the flag of the Isle of Man). The Irish celebrate Easter, and Easter Monday is a public holiday. Christmas is celebrated on 25 December, but celebrations may last until New Year's Day. An old custom has boys blackening their faces, carrying paper wrens, and asking for spare change on Saint Stephen's Day (26 December). This is called "hunting the wren," and the boys are known as 'wren boys.' This tradition commemorates the old story of how the wily wren tricked the mighty eagle into giving up the title of King of All Birds. This

Doing business in Australia

avoiding self-importance. *If you manage to impress them, they will not make it obvious. *The decision making will be slower than usually, as the work environment in Australian business culture is collaborative. Top management will consult subordinates. *Do not try to rush the decision - patience is very much appreciated. * The good news is that Australians do not find it hard to say "no", so the answer will be clear and straightforward. * Business hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. *For business purposes, it is best to visit the country from March to November, as the tourist season occurs from December to February. Greetings and conversation *Australians are not very formal, so greetings are casual and relaxed – a handshake and a smile are appropriate. * English is the spoken language at business meetings. However, stick with standard terms; do not experiment with Australian terms.

Lemmikpillid harf, flööt. Impressionistlik muusika pööras erilist tähelepanu instrumentide ja orkestri kõlavärvidele. Kõige mõjukam oli impressionistlikest heliloojatest Claude Debussy. Christopher Columbus

Columbus not only discovered a New World, but he led the way for other explorers. Since his death, Columbus has been heralded as a hero for his discoveries but has also become a figure of controversy for the disastrous effects of his explorations on native peoples in the Americas. Christopher's accomplishments are recognized in different countries and in different ways. The United States celebrates Columbus' first voyage to the Americas with a holiday on the second Monday in October. This holiday is called Columbus Day. It has also been called Discovery Day and Landing Day. Some cities, like New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, have parades. The city of Columbus, Ohio, is named after Christopher. Spain and South America celebrate Christopher's accomplishments on October 12. Spain calls it National Day. Some South American cities place flowers around statues of Christopher.
