Tolerance is all about politeness against people from other countries with other religions and cultures. People like this never discriminate others against on the basis of their sex, colour, religion, culture and so on. It is about a norm of polite society when you are interacting with another person with a different background. This means that you don't define your religion by saying "I'm not like those people over there." It means that you describe what you believe and practice it in positive ways, with as little reference to other religions as possible. Then again there are those who feel themselves comfortable and also special when someone is staring him on the street about his different race. That is a very rare but strong attitude and problems with self-confidence never appear.
