Mehhatroonika hõlmab kõike, mis on vajalik tööstuslikuks tehnoloogiliseks protsessiks, ning haarab endasse tööpingi, jõumasinad ja juhtimisseadmed. Toote valmistamiseks kasutatakse tööpingis elektri-, pneumo- kui ka hüdroajameid, protsessi juhitakse arvuti ning elektri-, pneumo- ja/või hüdroseadmetega.
