P.E in my life P.E is very important for all of us. It keeps us healthy and physically fit. I think that every person should do some sports to stay physically fit. If you do sport, you can run about 3 km without getting exhausted. If you don't to any sport, you get tired very quickly and gain a lot of weight. I think that to stay healthy, physically fit and feel good for itself every person should do some sport every day. After you do sport, you have a good feeling and you're happy that you did that. Do whatever - run, walk, play ball games, throw a ball and you do it yourself to feel better. There are P.E lessons in every school. That is good, because some people do not work out, outside the school and so they do at least some movement. In school we have two P.E lessons a week and that isn't enough compared with the 2-4 hours a day that students spend on the internet or watching TV. In our P.E les...

Crime & Punishment

Upon seeing which benefit outweighs the most, we decide to act. Well, on the other hand we might decide not to act. It depends on the person. Once again it all boils down to evil vs. good in the world. The evil will always be around tempting us all to do the wrong thing, but if we seek after the good and noble things, we can overcome the evil forces that seek to rob us of our freedom and dignity. But when thinking of proper punishment, I, for one, think that we are too lenient. At least in our country. There have been excerpts in the media of how the government wants to reform prisoners and help them getting on their feet after leaving prison. I do not think it would be possible. When taking into consideration that just two years ago a man was sentenced to serve eight years at a local penitentiary for the killings of 6 people, I just cannot agree with it. I sternly believe that punishments should be a lot more harsh so that a common man would

Passive houses

And to ensure that your passive house is efficient, it would be wise to get the certification, which ensures that the proposed design performs as expected: in terms of heating strategy, comfort and building maintenance - institutes charge for the certification up to 700 euros, value differs from the house´s size. And beforehand you would have to hire a consultant, who would also liked to get paid, to advise you on design and to verify the home´s efficiency. And last but definitely not the least negative side, which people might consider, is that looks count too. Most passive homes have limited windows and a boxy shape, which is the easiest geometry to keep insulated and highly energy efficient. Homes with curves and larger footprints require extra insulation and sealing , therefore they cost more money. Now let´s imagine, that despite all the extra fees, you still want to build an energy efficent house. So you must wonder, how high the standard is

Vegetables Vegetables is the most popular type of food among the girls. Over 50% of girls prefered vegetables. This shows again that girls are more healthier. According to survey, only 25% of boys chose vegetables. This illustrates that boys prefer to eat hamburgers and french fries. Meat and potatoes Meat and potatoes are popular among the both of them. This is implied by the fact that 49% of boys and 32% of girls chose them. Pasta Pasta is the least popular type of food among the four given choices. This is illustrated by the fact that a small number of girls and only 20% of boys find pasta preferable. Conclusion To sum up, a survey showed that boys like to eat fast food, while girls are healthier and prefer eating vegetables. I would recommend to reduce the amount of fast food in the college canteen and increase popularity of vegetables among the boys.

Transmission and differential

Automatic transmissions depend on a special fluid called ATF to cool and lubricate the moving parts inside. But the fluid does more than that: In fact, it’s no exaggeration to say that the fluid actually drives the vehicle. So there’s little doubt that the fluid is very important to the transmission’s operation. This is why it’s important to check the transmission fluid level and condition regularly and to have your transmission serviced at least Manual gearbox ● As the name suggests, the selection of gear ratios on manual transmissions is accomplished by manually shifting a gear selector mechanism that disengages one gear and selects another. Most modern types of this transmissions have five or six forward (and one reverse) gears. ● This type of transmission is connected to the engine via a clutch, which if disengaged (by pressing the foot pedal or hand lever),

Henry Ford

Motor Company was almsot wholly driven by the needs of production. Finance, marketing, cost accounting, managerial structure, and all the other accoutrements of modern corporations were of little or no intrest to Henry Ford. Henry Ford also regarded himself as a leader of the American people- as indeed were all business people in his eyes. But his belief that he understood the people better than their political leaders is best represented by his claim during prohibition. For Ford, at least early on, the seduction of wages still required its opposite for effective motivation- morality; workers had to be shown how to behave and what to do with their new-found wealth. In sum, Ford sought of dominate his workers, just as he dominated his managers and family. Domination, or, if neccessary, a battle of attraction until he achieved domination, was just about the only organizational tactic that Ford used. Slaid 2. Peace ship versus Warship

Epic (ingl. k eepos)

The traditional epics were shaped by a literary artist from historical and legendary materials which had developed in the oral traditions of his nation during a period of expansion and warfare" An epic is a lengthy narrative poem, ordinarily concerning a serious subject containing details of heroic deeds and events significant to a culture or nation. Nonetheless, epics have been written down at least since the works of Virgil, Dante Alighieri, and John Milton. Many probably would not have survived if not written down. The first epics are known as primary, or original, epics. One such epic is the Old English story Beowulf. Epic Conventions, or characteristics common to both types include: 1. Geography A ring of coastal mountains surrounds low central plains. The highest peak is Carrauntuohill , which is 1,041 m. The island is bisected by the River Shannon, at 386 km (240 miles) the longest river in Ireland. The island's lush vegetation, a product of its mild climate and frequent but soft rainfall, earns it the sobriquet "Emerald Isle". The island's area is 84,412 km². Ireland is divided into four provinces: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster. Ireland's least arable land lies in the south-western and western counties. These areas are largely spectacularly mountainous and rocky, with beautiful green sights. Ireland is sometimes referred to as being part of the British Isles. However, notwithstanding the level of acceptance of the term within Northern Ireland, exception is taken by many Irish people to the extension of this nomenclature to include Ireland due to the perception that it implies an identity at odds with historical,

Maailma majandus ja poliitiline geograafia

Maailma majandus- ja poliitiline geograafia 1. Kaasaegse poliitilise geograafia kujunemine ja areng. Friedrich Ratzel Poliitiline geograafia tekkis koos esimeste riikide kujunemisega. Rajajateks olid J. Bodin, C. Montesquieu, Turgo. Eelkäijateks loetakse Immanuel Kanti, J. M- Frants’i, Büschingut. It is very difficult to get in because every year they accept only around 30 students. You have to be flexible in your working hours because probably with the job you have to attend a lot of meetings or gatherings in the evenings. Conditions might be different depending on the country you are staying, like in America you'll probably have very good living environment, but if you have to compare it wiht Ukraine or Belarus then there are differences. Working in this field requires at least a degree from the university in any kind of subject that interests you. In my mind it would be better to get a degree in languages or in public relations, something that has anything to do with the work. It is good if the person who wants to become a diplomat is passionate about the work he or she will do, like travelling and communicating with other people, is open minded about things that might come up in his or her life while being a diplomat

It is situated in the northwest extremity of the North American continent, with Canada to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south, with Russia further west across the Bering Strait. Alaska is the least densely populated state of the U.S. 2 Alaska was purchased from Russia on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million at approximately two cents per acre. The land went through several administrative changes before becoming an organized territory on May 11, 1912, and the 49th state of the U.S. on January 3, 1959. The name "Alaska" was already introduced in the Russian colonial period, when it was used only for the peninsula and is derived from the Aleut alaxsxaq, meaning "the

percentage, which may indicate that the location of the hotel is not very favourable to tourism business as the area can probably be explored quickly. The conventions seem to affect the average length of stay positively. This may be due to the fact that conventions attract a notable number of occupants that are bound to stay for the span of the whole convention, which, on average, implies at least two day long stay. It would seem that 33-55 year-olds are more prone to use reservation through the agency that any other customer group, whereas 20-35 year-olds seem to be favouring direct reservations. This may be due to the fact that the older generation is keener on personal assistance they get at the agencies and find additional source of security in having a middle-man supposedly at their side

How to survive in Estonia. Guide for foreigner

To give an answer by topic I decided to hear the views of other people. I was published a topic in Facebook. The theme was "How to survive in Estonia. Guide for foreigner". Analyzing the answers I see the stratification of society, where one side is set extremely negative, but I am glad that there are positive opinions about living in Estonia. But everything in order: The first group of people are inclined to say that in Estonia is difficult even for local people and what to say about those who come from abroad. The problem is particularly acute elderly (old people). Their pensions are small, wherefore they are often forced to work. When people say about government, they responds terms like "corruption" and "incompetence". It is sad to state the fact that the percentage of dissatisfied respondents is higher than the percentage of people who satisfied of their life. The second group of people are more positive. They like to live in Eston...

Walking for meetings - analysis of a Nilofer Merchant presentation

lower back as in the beginning of the presentation. This was used to make people more lively and to let them know that the presentation is about to end. Also she encouraged the audience to move more and told that her life quality has increased greatly due to moving and having meetings while walking. In addition, she used a rhyme to make sure that her message is said out loud and clear - “walk and talk, walk and talk”. I think she reached the goal with her rhyme and whole presentation. At least I started to think differently after listening to her presentation.

Overfishing

comes down to one simple point: Catching too much fish for the system to support leads to an overall degradation (degrödašon) to the system. Overfishing is a non-sustainable use of the oceans. WHAT IS CAUSING OVERFISHING?: Worldwide, fishing fleets are two to three times as large as needed to take present day catches of fish and other marine species (spiišis) and as what our oceans can sustainably support. On a global scale we have enough fishing capacity (cäpaseti) to cover at least four Earth like planets. On top of the overcapacity many fishing methods (methouds) are unsustainable in their own way. These methods have a large impact on the basic functioning of our marine ecosystems (ikousistem). These unselective fishing practices and gear cause tremendous destruction on non target (taaged) species. Bycatch and discards and bottom trawling destruction are two examples of this. WHY IS OVERFISHING A PROBLEM?: To explain why overfishing is a problem we first have to get an

discover the cure and all the ill would get the treatment they need. But I don’t think it will happen in near future. I hope that COVID-19 is afraid of warm weather and people will not get sick in April or May. In the meantime I think that Estonian government will keep all the schools locked down until 6th April. I don’t even want to think about the time when we all need to go to school after a break that lasted so long. It will be stressful to say at least. I hope this situation is resolved as quickly as possible and with minimal damage to people and businesses in the whole world. Give my regards to your family and please stay safe! Love Anni

Stretches and exercises in office

stretches, and if you experience any discomfort while doing these stretches, discontinue them immediately. Stretching essentials Warm up first. Stretching muscles when they're cold increases your risk of injury, including pulled muscles. Warm up by walking while gently pumping your arms, or do a favorite exercise at low intensity for five minutes. Better yet, stretch after you exercise -- when your muscles are warm and more receptive to stretching. Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds. It takes time to lengthen tissues safely. Hold your stretches for at least 30 seconds -- and up to 60 seconds for a really tight muscle or problem area. That can seem like a long time, so keep an eye on the clock or your watch. Then repeat the stretch on the other side. For most muscle groups, a single stretch is often enough if you hold it long enough. Don't bounce. Bouncing as you stretch can cause small tears in the muscle. These tears leave

Its blue and white flag is said to represent the white snow of winter and the blue lakes of summer. In between the two is the dramatic spring when everything turns green in a week, and autumn, full of reds and browns as the leaves swirl over the city squares.Finland is certainly Scandinavia`s least understood and most culturally remote country. Finland is covered by a mixture of forest and marshland. It seems , for every Finnish family to have an island or lake of its own, with plenty of space for visitors too. Inland lakes cover almost 10 percent of the country`s entire area. None of Finland`s lakes are very deep, however; most of them averae around 100m (330ft). (www.wikipedia.org) Position and size

Carl Lewis

Carl is stubborn and in 1982 improves in the long jump (8,76 m) and becomes more constant in 100 m. So in 1983 he was ready to do the general attempts for the Olympic games of the following year. In fact the first edition of the world championship was expected and he qualified for 100 m, 200 m and long jump. He showed all his powerful qualities. On 19th June he runs the semi- final of 200 m in 20"15 s. Then he goes for the long jump. First jump: 8,71 m. Second jump: 8,79 m, leaving at least 20 centimetres before the limit! Carl got dressed again and went away. Two hours later he's ready for the final of 200 m. His acceleration burns the track and, twenty meters far from the goal, raises his arms and greets the spectators. Final time: 19"75!! Journalists, who were astounded, asked him why he didn't try to break the world record (19"72): "I run against opponents not against absents" he replied. So the world championships of Helsinki confirmed his supremacy: three golds.

They all collectively refer to themselves as the First Nations or First Peoples of Canada. However, there are many different cultural groups. Scientists do not agree on where First Nations people came from, or how they got to North America, but they do know that First Nations people are genetically related to people in parts of Asia. Scientists know that First Nations people have lived in what is now Canada for at least 12,000 years, because they have found bones and artifacts that go back that far. Many scientists now believe that some of the First Peoples may have been here for much longer than that. For a long time, scientists believed that the ancestors of all North American First Nations people crossed over on foot to North America from Asia at the end of the last ice age, about 12,000 years ago.

Johnny Cash

Cash in a compromise made by his parents when they wanted to name him different names. He went by the name J. R. throughout his young life as a shortened version of his real name. In 1955, he took Johnny Cash as his stage name. In March 1935, when Cash was three years old, the family settled in Dyess, Arkansas. J.R. was working in cotton fields beginning at age five, singing along with his family simultaneously while working. The family farm was flooded on at least two occasions, which later inspired him to write the song "Five Feet High and Rising". His family's economic and personal struggles during the Great Depression inspired many of his songs, especially those about other people facing similar difficulties. Cash was very close to his older brother, Jack. In May 1944, Jack was pulled into a whirling head saw in the mill where he worked and was almost cut in two. He suffered for over a week before he died on May 20, 1944,
