and carbohydrates. Our food should be varied. It is not healty to eat too much sweets. When we eat more food and get more calories than our body uses, we get fat. It is also good for our health to drink a few glasses of fresh water every day. To prevent diseases we should also have regular check-ups with the doctor and the dentist. History Human beings have suffered from diseases since they first appeared on Earth. Because of that medicines history is as old as human beings, meaning about 2.5 million years. First medicine was mainly based on superstition and guesswork, because people knew very little about humans body. Plants were very much used, because they were easy to get and they could treat very well. Still the origin of healing dates back to the birth of first civilisations. 1984 book conclusion

1948 is book that has many ideas twisted together. Lovestory, fears, how Winston whose daily work is rewriting history tries to rebel by falling in love to Julia, altough she isn´t his taste. This book was very interesting because there are many connections to real life for example Big Brother evokes to the cult of personality buillt up around Joseph Stalin, also Winston´s job „revising history“ is based on the Stalinist habit of airbrushing images of „fallen“ people from group photographs and removing references to them in books and newspapers.

The nation exports light industrial products, machinery, food, wood products, textiles, and electric power. In 1993 Estonia signed a free-trade agreement with its fellow Baltic states, Latvia and Lithuania; the three nations became members of the European Union in 2004. Estonia's major trade partners include the countries of the European Union and Russia. Culture The culture of Estonia incorporates indigenous heritage. Due to its history and geography, Estonia's culture has been influenced by the traditions of the adjacent area's various Finnic, Baltic and Germanic peoples as well as the cultural developments in the former dominant powers Sweden and Russia. Though Estonian written language could be said to exist since J.J.Köhler translated the New Testament into Estonian in the 18th century as a result of the Reformation, few notable works of literature were written until the 19th century

including the freaky “Dance Macabre” of cavorting skeletons. Cathedral of St. Mary the Virgin and the Town Hall offer fine views of the city. The most visible church that seems to get on all the postcards is the Russian Orthodox St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral with its onion domes. Several of the medieval buildings house museums: Epping Tower has a collection of medieval arms and armor, the 15th-century Great Guild Hall houses the Estonian History Museum, a 14th century merchant’s mansion is home to the Tallinn City Museum, and Fat Margaret’s cannon tower from 1530 is now the Maritime Museum. One of the most popular attractions is Kiek en de Kök, an imposing tower on the slopes of Toompea Hill. Its basement connects with a network of tunnels beneath the bastions. In conclusion Old Tallinn is definitely very interesting place to visit.

Australia Topic

AUSTRALIA Tallinn 2008 Only one country in the world fills a whole continent. That country is Australia. The continent it fills is Australia, too. Australia, then, is both a country and a continent. Australia is one only continent except Antartctica that is all south of the equator. Since it is south of the equator, its seasons are just the opposite of ours. It has summer while we have winter, and the other way round. Sometimes Australia is called the island continent. There is a good reason why. It is an island. It is 1800 miles from the mainland of Asia and almost half way round the world from Europe. More than 6000 miles of ocean separate it from the America. Australia is the world's smallest, flattest and driest continent. It is also the oldest some of the rocks are more than 3,000 million years old. It is the 6th largest country. Its territory is 7 700 000 km2. Australia is...

tongue (first language learned). Traditionally, the Inuit were hunters and gatherers who moved seasonally from one camp to another. Large regional groupings were loosely separated into smaller seasonal groups: winter camps (called "bands") of around 100 people and summer hunting groups of fewer than a dozen. Each band was roughly identified with a locale and named accordingly - eg, the Arvirtuurmiut of Boothia Peninsula were called "baleen whale-eating people." During roughly 4000 years of human history in the Arctic, the appearance of new people has brought continual cultural change. The ancestors of the present-day Inuit, who are culturally related to Inuppiat (northern Alaska), Katladlit (Greenland) and Yuit (Siberia and western Alaska), arrived about 1050 AD. As early as the 11th century the NORSE exerted an undetermined influence on the Inuit. The subsequent arrival of explorers, whalers, traders, missionaries, scientists and others began irreversible cultural changes

Australia presents an enormous range of climatic conditions, since it covers thirty degrees of latitude. It is mostly temperate, but one third of the continent is tropical, and there are large desert areas. The two largest cities are Sydney and Melbourne. The capital of Australia is Canberra. It is a small city and was built in the early 1900s. History. Two hundred years ago there were no white people in Australia. The only inhabitants were dark-skinned people who were still living in a Stone Age. Their only weapons were stone knives and boomerangs. But their tribes had very well-worked- out customs. A few aborigines still live in the emptier part of the continent. In 1770, the British explorer Captain Cook raised the British flag. Cook found there a pleasant climate and beautiful forests

Terrorism and fighting against it

Terrorism and fighting against it Terrorism is not new and even though it has been used since the beginning of recorded history it can be relatively hard to define. Terrorism has been described differently as both a tactic and strategy; a crime and a holy duty; a justified reaction to oppression and an unforgivable abomination. Obviously, a lot depends on whose point of view it is being represented. Terrorism has often been an effective tactic for the weaker side in a conflict. Terrorism is most common in nations with the average political freedom, and is least common in the most democratic nations.

The political history of British Isles over the past 800 years has been largely one of reducing the power of the monarchy and transferring authority to a London-based Parliament as the sovereign legislative body for all of Britain. This development has resulted in political, social and religious conflicts, as well as evolving governmental and constitutional institutions. The early political history of the British Isles is the story of four independent

Kofuni periood

Briti antropoloog E. E. Evans-Pritchard (19021973): "Anthropology must choose between being history or being nothing. (...) History must choose between being social anthropology or being nothing." E. E. Evans-Pritchard, History and Anthropology (Manchester, 1961), lk. 20. Ajaloolise antropoloogia kriitika · Ebavõrdne dialoog: ajaloolased ammutavad märksa enam antropoloogidelt, kui vastupidi. Säilinud on ajaloolaste institutsionaalne ülimuslikkus ajaloolises antropoloogias. · Ajaloolaste laenud antropoloogias on sageli ebakriitilised ja piiratud; ei arvestata piisavalt algset konteksti ja piirdutakse n-ö moemõistete
