Creating objects with the Shape Tools

Creating objects with the Shape Tools Often when you’re creating images in illustraator it’s easy to start off by using primitiive shapes. I want you to select the Elipse tool first. We’ll select the Elipse tool and we’re going to draw a circle. Now if I place the cursor over the center here and start to draw you’ll see that the elipse comes out from the center diagonally and I can make it long and slim, or short and fat, or the opposite. And if I hold down SHIFT as I’m drawing it will constrain it to create a perfect circle. Now if I hold down ALT while I’m drawing it will start to draw from the center and thats a keyboard shortcut that I like to use just to draw from the center of my Document. Now while I’m drawig I can also hold down Space Bar and that

Is there a place for libraries in future?

read, have fun and play, study and do homework at libraries. There are so many very great books, and every year their number increases. May be someday people will even start building libraries on the water. Then we could not only read books but also rest and travel. On the other hand libraries could be built for example as hotel. Surely this library will be very popular. May be people would live there until you read the book through. Accordingly you will not have to carry books here and there and it is one more reason to think about building this library. In conclusion, I personally believe that books will become more popular and there is a place for libraries in future. Because world with libraries is much better and exciting.

Narrative-story

As soon as I saw the rest of the group at the airport, I realised that I made a dreadful mistake. I shouldn’t have booked this trip alone. I should have invited a friend with me. Rest of the group standing few hundred meters away from me were punks. I mean literally punk people with their weird hairstyles and entirely dressed in black. They seemed so terryfing to me. Few of them noticed me standing here and they gave me smirky smiles. That scared me even more. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy this trip with these guys? I started walking slowly towards them, thinking that maybe I should turn around and not go to this trip. But I payed so much money and waited for this journey for so long. I reached the group and I was shaking a little. But you know what? They turned out to be the nicest and friendliest people and I had the best trip ever with them

The building was seriously damaged during the Soviet period, when it was turned into a sports hall. During this time it also lost its bell tower and onion dome. Fortunately the church was restored after Estonia regained independence, and since 2001, an Estonian Orthodox congregation has once again been active here. In the church's bell tower there is a museum of orthodox church textiles. An archpriest Meletion Ulm actively involved in restauration of the church. The church's elder is archpriest Mattias Pall. The church's second priest is Markus Kooviste. The church's third priest is Sakarias Leppik.

The negative form is either: I didn't use to or I used not to (rare for some speakers) The form I didn’t used to may also be found. This is usually considered incorrect, unless we consider used to as an unchanging semi-modal form. There is no present time reference possible. Would This is used to describe repeated actions, not states. It describes a habitual activity which was typical of a person. Every week he'd buy his mother a bunch of flowers. Used to would also be possible here. Compare: I used to like cowboy films. Would is not possible here. Would is more common in written language and often occurs in reminiscences. Unfulfilled past events 1. These describe events intended to take place, but which did not happen. I was going to phone you, but I forgot. I was thinking of going to Italy this year, but I haven't decided. I was about to do it, but I started doing something else. Jack was to have taken part, but he fell ill. 2

The Major Environmental Problems In Estonia

The Major Environmental Problems in Estonia The environment and saving it are important topics in today's world. In fact there are often several articles in newspapers and on television about environmental problems all around the world. To begin with, Estonia is a little country with small towns. In spite of that there is pollution. Most of the people here have their own cars and they prefer driving five hundred meters by car than walking by foot. In addition to that pollution is also caused by industries which are often located in towns near peoples' homes. As Estonia belongs to developed countries, people have enough power purchased and they mindlessly buy things they do not even need. According to that there is overconsumption which also causes huge waste dumps. Lastly there is abuse of the natural resources in Estonia

Teachers are usually satisfied with my results. Ofcourse my mother still ,,knows" that I could do better. But I'm already doing better. I guess she's never satisfied with my work. Stilistika loeng

variants of the past tense. From the stylistic point of view they are 2 different models of expression because they carry different stylistic overtones. "Spake" is archaic and therefore is used in elevated style or for the irony in everyday speech, while "spoke" is just the ordinary way of expressing. In syntax the sentence structure may differ and the stylistic effect may be different: "He came in" (neutral) "In he came" (more dynamic). Here we observe inversion different word order it is more powerful. In lexicology we find many examples of synonymic pairs in which the borrowed word carries bookish term and the native word is neutral (e.g. begin - commence, understand comprehend, think cogitate, etc.). "He came home drunk" no extra shades of meaning. "He returned to his residence in a state of intoxication" has extra shade of meaning (irony).

Informal letter to a friend describing a house for rent

Dear ..............., How are you? I hope you are well. I'm writing to let you know that I think I've found the perfect house for you. It's in a really nice location. Maardu, Harjumaa is a beautiful tidy town. It features a beautiful downtown, where you can easily walk around, shop, eat and dine. But the best thing about it is that the town is less than a twenty kilometres from the capital and the rent for the house is only £169 a week. The house is really adorable outside. It's made of light grey bricks and has a restored wood frame windows. Also, it's got small balcony and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Plus, modern security system. Inside, the house is nice and comfortable. It has two floors. On the ground floor there is a charming living room and modern fitted kitchen with all the equipment you would expect. As well as a dining room and mediumsize WC. Upstairs there is one big lovely bedroom and one smaller guests bedroom...

In Estonia laws are declared by the President of Estonia in Riigi Teataja. When we speak about rights then for exapmle in Estonia we all have rights to love, nobody can take it from us. We all have rights to free self-realisation and self-expression. We can choose our area of activity, profession and position of employment. When we talk about education then I can say, we all have right to learn in school and to become smart and educated people. When we speak about liberties then example civil liberties are voted in European Parliament election when you are eightteen and over, you can belong to unions, then you can apply for legislative council. Translation history

London, Pärnu, etc. Problems related to region (similar to the problems covered in previous lessons): How to deal with a situation, where all or part of a source text is written in a regional language? This involves questions along the lines of – if there is character in an Estonian novel that speaks in Saaremaa language variety, how should one transfer that into another language? What is the equivalent of Saaremaa language variety in English? Here the translator has to think about cultural issues as well – what it means to be from Saaremaa? Is it a rural (country) area? Do Estonians from the mainland have any bad feelings towards people from Saaremaa? Do they make fun of them? And after answering these and many other questions, the translator has to find a dialect in English that has about the same connotations that the Saare language variety has for the Estonian language. 3-And society (social class)

Do you remember what you felt? I remember I felt almost nothing and I never cried. When someone died, for example a granduncle, I didn't feel particularly sad, because as long as it wasn't anyone close to me, the death didn't influence my life in any way. Now a few weeks back my great-grandmother died, and even if I didn't know her and had only seen her a few times in my life, I flustered. The fact that someone I'm related to will never be here again, made me feel really scared and uncomfortable. What if it was someone really close to me? What will I do when that happens? How will I handle that? What if one day the most important person I have at that time disappears by my side? How is it even possible to handle that? Another example - when I was younger, every time something bad happened in the world, I didn't honestly care. When thousands died in 9/11 attacks, I didn't know how to react, so I didn't react at all

How to Make Tourism in Tallinn Profitable

How to Make Tourism in Tallinn Profitable Nowadays tourism is one of the world`s largest industries. In Estonia it is also developed really largely. First of all, the main what attracts people abroad are journeys. People want to widen their outlook. Tallinn is the right place for tourists who want to get know about the medieval life in Europe. Here are such attractions as the Medieval Old Town, Kadriorg Park and Rusalka monument. These are the main places people usually want to visit. So, we must develop our tourism system. For example, make up some journey programmes with elements of the Estonian tales. That certainly attracts much more tourists in Tallinn. Moreover, Tallinn has the good benefit in its geographical location. Estonia is like a bridge or gate between Europe and Russia. And Tallinn is the heart of Estonia its capital

Churches in Tartu

Churches in Tartu There are about 29 churches in Tartu. Some of them look like modern churches, but a large part of them are old ones. Here is Tartu St. John’s or Jaani church. Tartu St. John's Church, which was built in the 14th century in Gothic style, is one of the oldest in Estonia; moreover, it is unique in Europe due to its many original terracotta sculptures. Numbering around a thousand, these 700- year old sculptures were largely hidden till the 1950's. The entrance to the church is free, but if you're looking for more than old sculptures, a view, then it costs. Access to the viewing platform costs 2 euro per adult and 1.50 euro per student. Rivalling St. John's Church as Tartu's most impressive, St. Peter's church, located over the river, is a red- bricked, pseudo-Gothic. It was built in 1884, allowing it to seat up to 3,000 people. The large altar painting was created by Estonia's artist, Johann Köler, in 1897. ...

This is illustrated by the fact that about 6 % of people have elementary education. A small number of men and women have no schooling. This suggests that some people do not have opportunity to get an education. A substantial number of people have a university degree. This implies that education is valued and people achieve goals. In conclusion, different levels of education are spreaded out in people and having a higher level of education is made much of. actually i came here because i have an exercise for school. i study english and i had to do a story. can you help me for grammar and formulation?

The usual locations are of course concerts, sport and any other clubs but in case you have some kind of a hobby, you should dig out where you could meet people with the same interests. Our school has always had many interesting events through the year and here are some of the near future ones: A lot alikes banding together doesn't matter weather you're an athlete, a cheerleader, a musician or a writer, you are not the only one, so school is supporting different activity clubs. New cafeteria's opening we do need places to eat and drink! Autumn ball as soon as everybody has mingled together they can start dancing! The few things I really suggest are when in class, look around, remember the

My future plans

My Future Plans. Well, here it is. I am not a person who likes to speak about his future plans a lot. I will try to tell in the shortest way about the exact things. The 9th form finishes and I am happy and sad at the same time. I think I will miss my classmates and some of the teachers from this school but I understand that from that point starts a new period of my life. After the 9th form I am going to study further but where exactly, I can't say now. I am thinking about what to choose. In my opinion the most perfect choice for me would be studying abroad. I know it will be very useful and interesting experience for me. My dream is to visit Tallinn like a guest. But may be when I leave my town I will value it more than I did before. And could be that it is just popular today: dreaming about leaving your hometown and studying abroad. For today my plans are to study till 12th form and then enter the university. In future I will also impr...

Speech

But some people thinks that skateboarding is sport and others not. For me it's sport because it's pretty hard to drive all the day and then go to home and to your homeworks and so one. I drive with my friends and it's pretty fun because i can do some tricks that my friends can't do and then they are going to learn that trick. Of course my friends can to tricks what i can't do and it's fun to learn and teach some new tricks. But sport is important thing in our life. For example we have here in estonia so many good athletics like Erki Nool, Gerd Kanter and so one. It's good to see when your country contestant win a medal. We have won quite a number of medals like Gerd Kanter did it in Peking and won a Gold. It's good because our small country have so many good athletics. And this give a respect. Thanks for listening

English in my Life

So it is quite important for us to speak itEnglish an international language. It also goes the other way around when we go traveling somewhere in Europe or even further - then we mainly use English to communicate with people. Over the last 10 years the use of English has grown a lot in Estonia. We have many new TV channels in English. Also some Estonians work abroad because of the salary or better working conditions. There are jobs that require English even here in Estonia, as well. For example, in marketing, business, sports, tourism, show business and in many other fields. As for myself I don't use English very often outside the classroom. Sometimes I chat with my brother-in-law who's Irish. Also my friends have their own band and I've written lyrics to them a couple of times. In the future I would like to go backpacking somewhere in Europe. Then I would get a chance to use English more often. Well done! 5

William Shakespeare

Shakespeare'i lugusid iseloomustab karakterite rohkus, mitmekülgsus, sügavus, lavaline dramatism ja poeetiline realism. 1610. aastal naases Shakespeare oma sünnilinna, kus ta oli endale maja ehitanud. 1613. aastal põles maha "The Globe". Shakespeare suri 1616. aastal, 23. aprillil, väidetavalt oma 52. sünnipäeval. Shakespeare'i hauale on kirjutatud järgmine hauakiri, mis oletatavalt on ta enda kirjutatud: Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear, To dig the dust enclosed here. Blest be the man that spares these stones, But cursed be he that moves my bones.

Gays as Parents

father and a gay couple has to adopt to get a child. Some think that a child cannot have mentally healthy childhood if growing up with gay parents. I think that children who are old enough, should decide themselves if they want gay parents or not. I do not see a problem if a thirteen year old kid decides that he preferres gay parents to no parents. But the poblem is that younger children or even babies are usually adopted. They cannot decide so important thing. And here is the problem, to let gays adopt babies or not? I do not have a clear opinion in gay parents. I would like to believe that if a same sex couple has proven that they can raise a kid then they keep their word. I cannot say that it is perfectly fine to grow up with gay parents, because we really do not know if it has a bad effect on children. Of course it is better to live with loving parents even if they are gays. But at the

Hue Saturation Brightness

At 0% saturation, hue is meaningless. · Brightness is measured in percent from black (0) to white (100). At 0% brightness, both hue and saturation are meaningless. Brightness as it is described here refers only to relative values within a source that we are looking at (for example, a display screen or printed document). The actual luminance (of a light source) or reflectance (of an object) is a different issue--these values are measured with devices such as photographic light meters. The distinction between levels of brightness is actually logarithmic, not linear as the HSB scale would imply.

Studying abroad

become independent. You do not have your parents right next to you, you have to handle everyday -life yourself. Maybe the beginning itself is hard, but it is definately useful. You learn to live life on your own. One of the disadvantages is language barrier, especially when you are going to country, where the English is not a spoken language. So the previous work with that new language is vital. Also when you are in that atmosphere you learn new language very quickly. And here comes advatage from disadvatage you learn to communicate in totally new language. But the most harder aspect in my opinion of studying abroad is that you cannot look away from homesickness. It comes earlier or later. Of course today communication is not a problem, we have many social networks and we can talk with parents and friends whenever we want, but real hugs, laugh and homemade food are those that are needed.

New york

Language English Website www.nyc.gov Climate New York City has a humid subtropical climate The average temperature in January, the area's coldest month, is 32.1 °F (0.1 °C). However temperatures in winter could for a few days be as low as 10 °F (-12 °C) and as high as 50 °F (10 °C). November, December Weather: Expect highs in the 40-50 range in November and 30-40 range in December. It can be freakishly warmer or colder here and there, but it's not likely. What to Wear: Bring a heavier jacket and leave the shorts at home. Consider a hat, scarf, and gloves. Bring an umbrella because you still have to walk to and from subway stops and it's much harder to catch a taxi in the rain, so if you're going to be standing around trying to hail one, you might as well be dry. Getting physical

The first person to discover he didn't like the sound of his own voice was probably Thomas Edison. When he invented the first phonograph, he heard his own historic words, "Mary had a little lamb." Like most of us, Edison was probably disappointed because our voices sound different on a recording and we usually don't like the result. The reason is that our voices sound better inside our heads than they do when played back on recording machines. The two important lessons here are (1) Your voice probably doesn't sound as bad as you think it does, and (2) if you are troubled by the sound of your voice, there are simple ways to improve its quality. Nervousness is usually the reason why are voices are so affected in public speaking. There are three simple ways to relax and thus upgrade your voice: · Slow Down. As with driving a car, control is easier at slower speeds. · Release the Upper Body
