Why travel?

Why travel? Laying by the pool, drinking margaritas and having a good gossip with your friends, while the sun bronzes your skin. What could be better? For some people, this is the main point for travelling, yet others try to experience the culture and visit as many sightseeings as possible. Young people choose their destination to somewhere warm and also by the cost, because what is the point of ,,windbathing" in Europe or somewhere like that. Meeting new people, partying till the dawn and comparing each other tans is really fun and relaxing. I find these vacations very memorable because they are so different from the Estonian summers. But travelling is not only for party people, it is also for those who love to discover the foreign world, take pictures of exciting sightseeings while also enjoying it. People who like this kind of travelling are usually adults and elders who want something...

Internet (inglise keeles)

The fact that people are not interacting in visible public spaces does not mean that they are in isolation. It is just sometimes quicker and easier way to find needed information and for some people who simply doesn't have time to meet and have a chat in a cafe or somewhere it might be the only way to chat. It is through that fore some people Internet through its entertainment and information capabilities draws people away from family and friends , but I would say that most still prefer meeting face-to-face and having chat in real life. For example, for me the internet is just the place where I can chat with friends when its just not possible to meet with them. There is now way that I would prefer sitting home next to the table and having laugh with the computer if it would be possible to go out and meet with them in real life and maybe have a warm hug or something. The Internet is used in similar ways around the world...

Following feedback from Friends of the Earth, we also published a set of principles, which will guide our efforts to be responsive to stakeholders' concerns: The Body Shop will manage the use of chemicals in a responsible manner by: applying the precautionary principle to the use of chemicals continuously reviewing and updating our criteria and guidelines for the development...

Anglo - Saxon

The handfasting ceremony usually took place when the couple was very young, often many years before the actual wedding. It was this ceremony, not the wedding, that produced the exchange of vows which are now part of the Anglican wedding ceremony . This was also time for bride price and dowry to be exchanged. The ceremony was sealed with a drink and a kiss. The first marriages were by capture. The groom, with the help of his warrior friends (his best men), would steal into another tribe's camp and kidnap the woman of his choice. By the time they were found, the bride was already pregnant. Marriage by purchase became the preferred practice, being less stressful for all involved. The word wedding is from the Anglo-Saxon word "wedd," meaning to wager or gamble. It referred to the vow the man gave to marry another man's daughter or to the goods or bride price....

Briti kirjanduse portfoolio

At home in Haworth Parsonage, Charlotte and the other surviving children -- Branwell, Emily and Anne -- began chronicling the lives and struggles of the inhabitants of their imaginary kingdoms. Charlotte and Branwell wrote stories about their country -- Angria -- and Emily and Anne wrote articles and poems about theirs -- Gondal. Charlotte continued her education at Roe Head, Mirfield, from 1831 to 1832, where she met her lifelong friends and correspondents, Ellen Nussey and Mary Taylor. During this period (1833), she wrote her novella The Green Dwarf under the name of Wellesley. In May 1846, Charlotte, Emily and Anne published a joint collection of poetry under the assumed names of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell. In June 1854, Charlotte married Arthur Bell Nicholls, her father's curate, and became pregnant very soon thereafter. Her health declined rapidly during this time, and according to...

Christmas

Christmas By Xxxx Xxxx Nowadays, Christmas is celebrated almost world-wide. It's a global time of peace for all who believe in the magic of it. Overworked people treasure days that bring rest and recreation and allow them to meet their families and friends . They appreciate days when they give and receive gifts - the evidence of friendship, of remembrance and love. A time when it feels good to give, when anger is forgotten, when heaven becomes a place on earth for a moment. We tend to think of Christmas as a time for children, but what if Christmas gives each of us the opportunity to be the child? To have wise men bring priceless gifts to us, to be held by an adoring mother and father, to feel that everything will be okay...forever...

Kuidas kirjutada esseed

Another approach is to simply start writing and see where you end up. Record as much information as you can recall, such as schools attended, courses taken, jobs held, research projects undertaken. Work on taking yourself deeper into the introspection process by tackling more specific topics. Here are some questions you might want to consider: What am I like? How do my friends characterize me? What are my personality traits? Have I ever experienced a moment of epiphany? Why is (some color) my favorite color? Why is (some movie) my favorite movie? How have my favorites influenced my life? What have I done? What are my major accomplishments? Why do I consider them accomplishments? What extra curricular activities have I participated in? Have I strived hard for something and achieved it? Why did I succeed?...

Hoe to write an argumentative essay?

g. isn't, aren't, etc.) are not acceptable because they are not formal enough. S/he can be used instead of the cumbersome "he or she" to save space when having in mind a person of either sex, or the also politically correct "they" for the singular. There should be neither slang forms nor colloquialisms. It is important to be as precise and to the point as possible. Hinting at things is not a good idea because essays are not meant to be read by friends who know the writer's point of view anyway, but by mere acquaintances or most often even strangers who should also understand everything the writer is trying to say. As to the sentences, it is stylistically good to have them nicely balanced, some of them longer, some shorter, but not too long or too short. The formality of an essay and unfinished sentences do not go together well. Exclamation marks (!) are considered equal to shouting, which should exclude them from a serious essay...

Halloweeni jutt

A long sidewalk lead up to a front porch. In the moonlight, the house looked deserted. John whispered, "I think I remember somebody telling me that this house is haunted." "No way," Ben said, pushing open the gate. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind rustled the leaves and a loud crash came from the porch. Both friends jumped at the noise. "It's just the wind," Ben said a little shakily. Although Ben and John felt a little nervous, they walked slowly through the creaky front gate and up the long sidewalk. The old stairs creaked as they climbed onto the porch. Lying on the floor of the porch they saw a broken flower pot. "That's what made the loud crash we heard," Ben said. "See? There's nothing scary here." "Yeah," John said, "Go ahead, Ben."...

EMMA Youthful Emma Woodhouse, whose long-time governess and friend Miss Taylor has just married Mr. Weston, takes some solace in being left alone with her aging father by claiming that she made the match herself. An old friend of the family, Mr. George Knightley, does not believe her, but in her certainty she decides that she must also marry off the young rector, Mr. Elton. Among her friends and acquaintances in the large and populous village of Highbury, she begins to notice young Harriet Smith, the pretty illegitimate seventeen-year-old who lives at Mrs. Goddard's boarding school.
