Canada

It is a free market economy with much less government intervention than European nations. Canada is one of the few developed countries that is a net exporter of energy. Canada has deposits of natural gas and oil. Also it is world`s largest producer of zinc and uranium. Canada has world`s most liberal social policies. Medial marijana is legalized. And also in 2005 they legalized gay marriage, so Canada became one of the four nations that allow same- sex marriage. Canada sent 2000 soldiers to fight in Afganistan, but its relations with the USA were strained when it refused to support the war in Iraq.

monarchy. The head of state in Estonia is president who currently is Toomas-Hendrik Ilves and the head of state in United Kingdom is queen Elizabeth the second. Estonian president has a serving time of 5 years then in United Kingdom monarch rules the country till he or she dies, of course there are special occasions for that too. Second of all I want to talk about parliaments: Estonian parliament is unicameral and has 101 members and is elected for four years, when the British parliament is bicameral and has 1455 members currently and is elected for five years. Bicameral parliament means that there are two separate assemblies. There are quite a few minor differences that Iam not going to mention because otherwise it would take me much longer than two minutes to talk about them. Now i want to talk about similarities. I previously talked about parliaments and that leads me to the

About Peter I House Museum

Therefore the protection of the new border areas became the priority of the ruler and he paid a lot of attention to the reconstruction of ports in Tallinn and Paldiski and visited Tallinn several times. Together with the site of the would-be palace, a summer estate and a 17th-century cottage that had belonged to town councillor von Drenteln were purchased for the emperor's use in 1713. The small cottage was enlarged with a wing and the outcome was a building with a hall, a kitchen and four rooms. The small summer residence was in use until the emperor's death. The succeeding rulers used the Palace of Kadriorg that had been completed only after Peter's death and the small building was neglected. The building was restored at the order of Emperor Alexander I after he visited Tallinn in 1804. The wing, however, was not. The kitchen was reconstructed and a dining room was built above it on the first floor that had not existed before.

Estonia summer and winter essee

Estonians have two personalities-a summer one and a winter one Estonia is a country in Eastern Europe. It's a small country beside the Baltic Sea. Our neighbours are Finland, Russia, Latvia and Sweden. Estonia's surface area is 45,227 square kilometres. The population of Estonia is around 1,3 million. We have four seasons in Estonia. The air is very humid and it rains quite often, especially in spring and autumn. We usually have long winters and plenty of snow, but sometimes we haven't even had snow. Summers are mostly warm and beautiful in Estonia. In winter our nation is mostly very passive, becouse it is quite cold in outside, we are like bears who sleep in winter, but we still go to school and work even if we are like so tired and don't wanna go out

Betti. Dear Kate, I think that travelling is the best way to broaden you mind and to explore the world. I haven't travelled a lot recently. The last place I visited was Finland, which was in August 2008. Most of the trips I've taken were when I was too young to remember them. For instance I went to a European trip with my family when I was four years old. We visited such countries as Sweden, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia and some more countries. I would really love to visit USA, England and Japan. Something is just magical about those places. I know that when you live somewhere, you don't really see what's special about it. I bet you know a lot more about London than I do but you probably don't find it as special and beautiful as I do. I love to observe the architecture and the people who live in the country I

Whale There are 13 species of great whale and several species of smaller whales. Whales are large, intelligent, aquatic mammals. Whales have many features that we- other mammals have. Such as four-chambered heart, hair, they are warm- blooded. They are the only mammals, other than seacows , that live their entire life in the water, and the only mammals that have adapted to life in the open oceans. In the wild, polar bears live an average of 15 to 18 years, although biologists have tagged a few bears who are 30 years old. One zoo bear in London lived to 41. Female polar bears have their first set of cubs between the ages of four and eight (most frequently at age five or six). At birth, the cubs are 30 to 35 centimeters long and weigh little more than half a kilogram. They are blind, toothless, and covered with short, soft fur. The cubs are born in November or December and remain in the den until March or April. During that time, the mother does not eat, drink, or defecate. There are usually two cubs in a litter. "Northern Europe’s seas. Norther Europe’s environment"

Summary The present summary is based on the book "Northern Europe’s seas. Norther Europe’s environment" by Britt Aniansson. Oceans and seas are polluted every day by different substances that reach the waters from different sources on land and at the sea. The author points out four main problems in the marine environment. One of the main problems is the chemical pollution which is caused by natural or man- made halogenated compounds, pesticides, dioxins, chlorinated organic materieals and so on. These compounds are causing deformage in marine animals and are storaged in their fatty tissues. They have also been found in organisms throughout the world oceans because they are dispersed quickly by winds and currents.

Computer

Everywhere you look, computers have greatly improved our lives. It can be as simple as going through a carwash, a computer processes the information that we feed it and adjusts the machine accordingly to give us the particular wash that we paid for. Although technology is a good thing to have, there is a few drawbacks. My computers I have used computers almost every day for nine years. I got my first computer when I was 7 or 8 years old. During the last four years I have changed computers five times. At the moment I am using a laptop that is more powerful and a lot smaller than my first computer. Rowan Atkinson elulugu inglise keeles

He’s an English actor, comedian, and screenwriter who is best known for his work on the sitcoms Mr. Bean and Blackadder. He has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy and amongst the top 50 comedians ever, in a 2005 poll of fellow comedians. Although he'd first appeared at Edinburgh when he was 17, Atkinson was spotted at the 1976 Festival by television producer John Lloyd, who went on to produce him in his first starring role - as one of the four members of the ’Not The Nine O'Clock News’ sketch team. This was followed by the huge success of Blackadder and its sequels which propelled Atkinson to star status. He then went on to create Mr Bean. A walking disaster, Bean was purely physical comedy, the opposite of Edmund Blackadder's polished dialogue. This clumsy character was a huge success and became another national treasure. Atkinson's other characters rely more heavily on language. Atkinson often plays authority

Yet she worried that other personality types, the sort who know how to fix the toaster or program the VCR, weren't being invited into these houses. A call to an established collective seemed in order. What is the secret to success? Is it a big compost pile? A brightly colored chore wheel? Is it possible to find domestic harmony, even domestic bliss, with four, five or ten strangers? Suzi Teo, a former fashion designer who started the House of Tiny Egos two years ago, avers that hers is a happy home. While Ms. Teo, 44, touts the "diversity and individual 3 skill sets" of her housemates in a way that would make Dr. Fisher proud, it all seems to circle around the dishes, just as it does in more conventional households. "It took a whole year," she said

Estonia, as a new member of the World Trade Organization, is steadily moving toward a modern market economy with increasing ties to the West, including the pegging of its currency to the euro. The economy benefits from strong electronics and telecommunications sectors. Estonia has been a member of the European Union from May 2004. The economy is greatly influenced by developments in Finland, Sweden, Russia, and Germany, four major trading partners. The high current account deficit remains a concern. Main industries in Estonia are engineering, electronics, wood and wood products, textile and information technology and telecommunications. The main ports and harbours in Estonia are in Haapsalu, Kunda, Muuga, Paldiski, Pärnu and Tallinn. There is about 10,000 km of paved streets/roads/highways and about 41,000 km of unpaved roads.
