Arthur Conan Doyle

Conan Doyle was sent to the Roman Catholic Jesuit preparatory school St. Mary's Hall, Stonyhurst, at the age of eight. He then went on to Stonyhurst College, but by the time he left the school in 1875, he had rejected Christianity to become an agnostic. From 1876 to 1881 he studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, including a period working in the town of Aston (now a district of Birmingham). While studying, he also began writing short stories; his first published story appeared in Chambers's Edinburgh Journal before he was 20. Following his term at university, he served as a ship's doctor on a voyage to the West African coast. He completed his doctorate on the subject of tabes dorsalis in 1885. In 1882, he joined former classmate George Budd as his partner at a medical practice in Plymouth, but their relationship proved difficult, and Conan Doyle soon left to set up an independent practice

numbers in other places where it is too high. About 350 bird species have been recorded in Estonia. More than 200 of them breed in Estonia. Due to the vast preserved natural landscapes, large raptorial birds, such as the golden eagle and eagle owl have made Estonia their home. It is the small islets, however, that can really be called bird paradise. Undisturbed by man and protected from most smaller predators by the sea, they are real nesting sanctuaries for a diversity of birds. The first inhabitants came to the area that now forms present-day Estonia some 11 000 years ago. Estonians were one of the last pagan people in Europe. Estonia was incorporated into Christendom at the beginning of the 13th century, under the pressure of crusaders from Denmark and Northern Germany. Estonians were reduced to the status of peasantry until the 19th century. From 1558 onwards, Estonia became the battleground for the Livonian War involving Denmark, Sweden, Russia and Poland

Tallinn town hall

Tallinn. Relying on that document a town council was elected from amongst merchants of the Hanse and started convening in the Town Hall. It is possible to state on the basis of research findings that a meeting place of the magistracy and a goods depot in the form of a small, fortified town hall, constructed of local limestone, existed in its present location already in the mid-13th century. The town hall first mentioned in a real estate record in 1322 had a large meeting room (consistorium) and, considering the times, a huge warehouse (cellarium civitatis). Three walls and seven windows representing Tallinn's oldest secular architecture have come down to our days from that building. In the first quarter of the 14th century the existing building was extended and the basement enlarged. The so-called diele-dornse (front-back room) system was established.

A letter of complaint.

72711 Paide Estonia 5 December 2010 8 All Saints St., Mayflower, London N1 9RL UK Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about a faulty CD-walkman and your shop assistant's unprofessional behaviour. In the first place, I am not happy with my new CD-walkman. It played only on a steady surface. It also played the first three songs only and then started from the beginning. In addition to that, when I returned to the shop for help the shop assistant was very arrogant and did not provide me any help at all. I would, therefore, like you to return my money or replace my CD-walkman immediately and also talk with the shop assistant about her behaviour. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Seventeenth summer

Seventeenth Summer was the first novel published by author Maureen Daly in 1942. The book talks about a girl's first experience with dating and falling in love. (A seventeenth year old girl named Angie who falls for the popular boy Jack.) I think this book was really good. But it is a little bit slow book, it does not really have any action in it and it just more of a leisurely book to read. I liked the romance and the character development, I liked the simplistic nature of their love. It made me yearn for respect and honor, modesty and decency. I admire that slow courtship

It can often run for six to eight weeks. Pantomime needs to have a strong story line and has to include all the important elements as the good battling against the evil where the good must come out as a winner. Shows include comic chases and situations which are known as Slapstick comedy. This comedy takes its name from a magical device that makes slapping noise and is used by characters. The most famous of those pantomime clowns was Joseph grimaldi who made his first appearance in 1800. Pantomime now had its first real star.

Robert Burns

Robert Burns Robert Burns was born in a small cottage in Alloway on 25 January 1759. By the time of his death, aged 37, on 21 July 1796, he had become Scotland's bestloved poet and, perhaps more importantly, the symbol of the regeneration of a nation. At Mount Oliphant, when he was 15, Robert wrote his first song, Handsome Nell, for his partner in the fields at harvest time, Nellie Kirkpatrick. Robert had to work as a flax dresser in Irvine to earn money for family but his real passion was poetry. At the age of 27 he had 3 children, two of them were twins. In July of 1786, Burns had succeeded in publishing the first book of his poems, the "Kilmarnock Edition", which became enormously popular. He decided to move to Edinburgh where new editions of his poetry were published. He made a number of

Fast 2 Furious

Once again the movie revolves around street racing, but this is a very different film from the original. This movie finds Brian kicked off by the police force when streetracing in Miami. He gets busted and the FBI cuts a deal whereby his record will be cleaned if he goes undercover to help them get a dirty information. The allure of these movies isn't the plot though. It's the cars and the racing. In my opinion, this movie is a bit better than the first. The movie has an entirely different feel from the first. The races are a little longer as they're not just doing quarter mile drag races and there are also some massive chase sequences that tear up a lot of cars. We were pleased to see lots of different types of performance cars getting representation this time.
