Description of an Interesting Person I Have Met It was early morning in Finland when I had just waked up. I was very tired, and I decided to go to the beach and just lie on the hot sand and sunbathe. When I creamed myself somebody bumped into me and that was him. He was chasing volleyball and after he had bumped into me he apologized and asked me to play volleyball with his friends and I agreed. He wore chequered shorts and his upper body was naked. He was very handsome, because he was

My best holiday

I've traveled a little, mostly in Finland, Sweden and Latvia. But for me and my family like to travel and discover new places in Estonia. But my favorite is the holiday trip to Sweden. We traveled by boat to Sweden, where we visited many museums, cathedrals, and the Gallery. Sweden at meeldiub me most architectures, as the country houses are so special. I've been to Sweden twice, and definitely will go back there again. In addition, we usually visit the zoo, museums, and buy hand-made souvenirs. I like to follow the plot in the street, because they behave and dress differently. I was traveling for three days together in Sweden. Many do not like the journey involves shipping in Sweden but I just love it, because in the mornings and in the evenings you can eat buffet. In conclusion, I like to travel and culture in Sweden is a very suitable place.

Estonian War of Independence

arose in Eastern Europe. The new rulers of Russia the Bolsheviks decided to use it as a proper moment to re-conquer their lost territories. The ultimate goal was international communist revolution and Germany was the first standing on their way. Thus on November 13, 1918 the Government of Soviet Russia denounced peace with Germany. On November 16 the Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army, Jukums Vacietis, gave orders to start a massive attack on a long front from the Gulf of Finland to the Ukraine. On November 28, two divisions of the Red Army (altogether 12,000 troops) crossed the Estonian border. The War of Independence had begun. The situation of the Estonian Republic was rather desperate. Organizing of the army had just begun and less than 2,000 men could be sent to the front (without a single cannon). However, the Government headed by Prime Minister Konstantin Päts decided not to give up without a fight

Solutions & alternatives

The solution is to compel all employers to pay a minimum wage. Then you will increase the incentive to work... The best way to prevent crime is to convince the people who commit it that they are going to be caught. To remove crime from society, you really have to tackle it's causes. There are many choices. You can travel north to see the midnight sun... You can take the night train to Copenhagen... You can take the ferry east to Finland or take the seven hour train journey across the country to Gothenburg. As for the young woman, she may have a lot in common with the old man; Alternatively, she may be interested in his money. Well, when they reach the age of fifteen, they reject the songs of their childhood. Instead, they are into pop or rock songs which will be forgotten within weeks. You see, the alternative is to buy food on the world market. We all know

Vilsandi National Park

The park grew from a bird reserve founded in 1910. The first who found Vilsandi birds interesting was long - time captain of the Vilsandi lighthouse,Artur Toom, who started providing protection for sea birds in 1906. Today, the preserve provides protection not only for sea birds, but for all the landscape, plants and animals present in the islands.Hunting is absolutely prohibited. This park is a popular tourist destination for both Estonians and foreign visitors, particularly from Finland. Before World War II, Vilsandi had 33 farms, with a population of around 200 people. Today, the population numbers around 30 individuals. To date, several wooden windmills have been rebuilt as well as the Tolli farm. Future career

Future career Around the world there are so many different peole who do different jobs. My mother works in a hospital. She's a nurse of extraordinary medicine. She loves her job, because she thinks it's interesting to help all these people. She has also worked in a bank and when she was younger she was a secretary. When she graduated high school she wanted to become a stewardess, but life went the other way. My father works in Finland. He is a builder. Sometimes he is abroad for several months. He worked couple of years ago at the same hospital where my mother works. He was an ambulance driver. i can't say that some jobs are unnecessary or pointless, but i can say what jobs i don't like. I think i don't want to become a doctor or even a nurse, because i don't stand blood. In the future i want to become a teacher. I want to teach Estionian language or literature to high school students

English in my Life

English in my life People in Estonia basically use two languages. The main language and also our mother tongue is Estonian. Also Russian is a commonly spoken language because almost one-third of the population in Estonia is formed by Russians. Besides those two languages many Estonians are quite good at English. We are visited by many tourists from Finland, Sweden, Latvia and many other countries. Tourists from the Scandinavian countries and from other places of Europe don't speak in Estonian. So it is quite important for us to speak itEnglish an international language. It also goes the other way around when we go traveling somewhere in Europe or even further - then we mainly use English to communicate with people. Over the last 10 years the use of English has grown a lot in Estonia. We have many new TV channels in English

Introduction tallinnasse

INTRODUCTION Tallinn is the capital and largest city of Estonia. It occupies a surface of 159.2 km2 in which 404,000 inhabitants live. It is situated on the northern coast of the country, on the banks of the Gulf of Finland, in north-western Estonia. Tallinn is the location of many institutions of higher education and science. As an important port for trade between Russia and Scandinavia, it became a target for the expansion of the Teutonic Knights and the Kingdom of Denmark. Historically, the city has been attacked, sacked, razed and pillaged on numerous occasions. Although extensively bombed by Soviet airforces during the latter stages of World War II, much of the medieval Old Town still retains its charm.

In conclusion I will be giving my own opinion about Nokia and review the main points of the report. HISTORY The firm Nokia we know today has greatly changed comparing to the time it first started under the name of Nokia. Nokia was established in 1865 as a pulp mill by Knut Fredrik Idestam in the town of Tampere, in south-western Finland. In the beginning of 20th Finnish Rubber Works acquired Nokia Wood Mills and Finnish Cable Works and all these three companies were merged into the Nokia Corporation. during the years you have spent in school. I believe you'll do just fine with the exams. Best wishes, Betti. Dear Kate, I think that travelling is the best way to broaden you mind and to explore the world. I haven't travelled a lot recently. The last place I visited was Finland, which was in August 2008. Most of the trips I've taken were when I was too young to remember them. For instance I went to a European trip with my family when I was four years old. We visited such countries as Sweden, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia and some more countries. I would really love to visit USA, England and Japan. Something is just magical about those places. I know that when you live somewhere, you don't really see what's special about it. I

Benefits and drawbacks of the EU

Estonia in the past 9 years. As they say, you have to take the good with the bad. One positive thing that almost immediately pops into my head is the fact that being in the EU makes travelling so much easier between the member countries. So, along with the EU currency the euro, travelling in Europe has never been this easy. Now people don't even have to exchange their currency when travelling for example to Finland. But the simplification of travel could also bring some drawbacks. With leaving the country being so easy, many students who are looking for better opportunities abroad now have the chance to easily leave their homeland and maybe never come back. So Estonia is losing some of its valuable young people. And since the use of euro, prices have gone up a lot, and Estonians are not happy with that either. Another thing that is positive is the increase in national security. If some other country were

Traveling

Traveling There are many ways how to travel in the world. For example some people like to travel in their own country, other people like to travel trough the world and visit different exotic places. There are also different reasons for travelling. Some travel to learn more about other cultures, learn about other countrys history.Others might travel just to have some fun and meet new people, visit friends and family or just for business. The most common ways to travel are by plane,by car,by train or by bus. Travelling has many positive sides. When people have traveled to a completely different country, then they can compare the life in their own country and the country they are visiting. It makes people see how they can enjoy their life more. Visiting other places also is very good for practicing other languages and communicating with people...
