How to find work you love, Ted talks

How to find work you love Ted Talks, Scott Dinsmore His point is that if you want to find work you love, you must understand yourself, your unique strengths (the things you want to do, even if your not getting paid) and become a self-expert, to know what you are looking for in a job and what success means to you. You must also figure out what are your values and analyze your experiences. Once you have this framework together, you can start to identify the things that you want in your life and work. Do the impossible and push your limits.

Thanks to the sports centre there is many hobbies you can choose from. You can learn different martial arts, different dances, basketball, football and table tennis. you can take swimming lessons and much more. When you just want to take a time out you can take a steam bath, a regular sauna or just relax in a bubble bath. To me jyri sports centre has only one disadvantage. That you have to pay for these things which the sports centre includes. I find this as a disadvantage because in these hard times I do not have the luxury to go swimming or visit the gym, but again what is the price for your health? My suggestion to end these high prices is to build another sports centre to jyri. So the current sports centre will have some competition and they have to lower the prices to keep their clients and then the old sports centre can be the average Joe's sports centre and the

Summary - IT in motorsport

Summary I made my presentation about infotechnology usage in motorsport. I chose this topic because I am an infotechnology student and also I have been rally driver since 2009. I believed this could be interesting topic for others to hear because you can’t really find much information about the technologies used in different motorsport disciplines from the Internet but you can learn about them usually when somebody tells you about those technologies. Because I’m a rally driver and I know most about rallying I focused on rally and in addition talked little bit about Formula One and also about simulators. Most of the information I used to make this presentation was based on my personal experience. In addition, I found some

If I were an English teacher Being a teacher is not an easy task. Teachers have many problems with students who does not know how to behave. Some of them even make fun of teachers and I find this kind of behaviour disturbing, because it is not fair that urchins have more fun in school than decent students have. Yes, teachers can throw the rebels out or punish them in other ways, but that usually agitates the students against the teacher. Firstly, I would like to say that if I were an English teacher I would variegate the classes with subjects, which students would actually find interesting. I would find it exciting

Violence on television. In today's society television plays a big role. People watch TV for many different reasons. They watch TV mainly for entertainment, but they also watch it to learn and to find out news. Violence is a major problem, it has affected people for ages. Although violence on television is not the greatest thing, it should be not be banned. In my opinion TV can be very educationaland it shouldn't be banned. Most people watch TV to get away from reality. Watching shows that depict a fantasy world are a lot more interesting to watch. People don't want to see things that happen to them on a regular bases. There are lots of inventions being made to spare our time and make our lives easier. The invention I am going to talk about is an internet, which I find is one of the most important contraptions. However, the opinions about the computer network are very opposed. The first advantage is that internet is very easy and quick to use. Whereas uploading news to the computer network is very fast, is the internet better than TV shows or radio. Secondly is an internet the biggest infomation resource, where you can find almost anything you need. The third point is wide opportunity of communicating with other people. For instance you may use

Supermarket vs cornershop

However, there are big vairety of those, who love to shop in corner shops. Both shops have their pros and cons. So which shop should we perfer to? Firstly, supermarket's main advantage is big vairety of all kinds of products. There are all kinds of different sorts and you can be sure to find different discounts too. Many discounts are with shopping carts, so it is important to have one. On the other hand, there are bigger queues than corner shops and can be more difficulties to find products, because area is much bigger. Secondly, corner shops main advantage is location. They are closer to home and there are short queues too. Also there are some products that you won't find in supermarkets and also fresh bakery products. On the other hand, there can be expensive products and they might be open only few hours. All in all, it is every people's decision which shop to prefer, but it is important to know advantages and disadvantages of both shops.

Shopping - pleasure or obligation

Shopping - pleasure or obligation We need to do shopping almost every day. Because we had to buy meat, fruits and other food products. Furthermore people need medicines clothes and stationary. But buying isn't always obligation to demand basic needs. Perhaps it cab be pleasure. Right now huge department stores and supermarkets are very poplar places. In there you can do everything, start the day with shopping and end with eating. Positive is that you can find almost everything in big shop. Very exciting places for shopping is marketplaces, flea market and street markets like Portobello Road Market in London. There you will find collectible and antique junk. If you find something interesting you can bargain about the price. Then you feel what is pleasure of shopping. Shopping is very annoying if you have to go to the shop when you don't want to go. Like with mother or girlfriend

Why learn English?

Firstly English is the international language and knowing English shows the eruditeness of people, because every person who considers him or herself to be educated has learnt it. English has switched places with Latin, which once was the language of educated people. Not to mention the fact that people can use it for communication with eachother. In my opinion it is not necessary to learn that country's mother tongue while most of the people are able to talk in English. I find that English connects different people and helps us to feel like a big multicultural family. In addition to that it is a whole lot easier to find a job abroad, if you are fluent in English, because they are looking for workers who are able to talk with no language barrier and it shows that you are open to different challenges. All in all, I find that learning English is extremely important and useful, because we can use it everywhere and everytime.

Vending machines, drive- thru restaurants, and 24 hour convenience stores are probably the most common places to find fast food. It's so popular because for under $5.00 you can usually get a filling meal. However, fast food is inexpensive because it is usually made with cheaper ingredients such as high fat meat, refined grains, and added sugar and fats, instead of nutritious foods such as lean meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Is fast food bad? There is no such thing as a "bad" food. All foods can fit into a healthy meal plan. It's true that fast food is usually high in fat, calories,

What Makes a Successful Manager?

A successful manager often is not a successful business owner because those are two totally different positions and demand for different qualities and personality traits. What makes a successful manager? Firstly, in my opinion the manager should be an excellent communicator and more important I find being a good motivator as employees normally quite often have ups and downs or loss of motivation, so it is crucial for the company that the manager were up to motivate and find suitable solutions for his subordinates. Secondly, I think that the manager should have a positive attitude, for example, even though the situation is really bad and some others would have given up as seeing it pointless, there are still managers who still are positive and self-confident and they will finally succeed. It is really important to stay on your chosen road and to believe in your choices. In conclusion, not everyone can be a successful manager whether you do not have enough

Everyone is asking what is he going to do with his life now, but he is very uncomfortable aswering them and at that point he doesn’t care as well. Being a third year history student in University of Tartu, I am wondering over the same questions and find myself often thinking what is expected of me after graduating and how has university played a role in my development for almost three years now. When asked what is the main purpose of university, most people would say that it is preparing students for different proffessions, which would later be the driving force of the country. Art of Healing: present and future

Medicine develops very quickly. Nowadays the doctors can do almost anything they want. Egyptian doctors began to specialize in 2500 B.C. At that time they were already quite skilful. When a man lost a limb there was a big possibility that he would lose too much blood and die or get a blood poisoning before that time. Now the doctors can help people who have been in very serious car accidents for example. They can even replace blood with blood substitutes for a short time until they find the right blood type for the patient for the blood transfusion. This can save many lives. There are very many different pills that help with smaller problems like a headache or a bad tooth. Some people don't trust doctors very much. They prefer to use alternative medicine with different smaller problems like rheumatism and arthritis. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy that involves inserting needles into the skin at specific points of the body

Marriage - an outdated tradition

Marriage an outdated tradition Marriage has been a very important part of peoples´ lives since ancient times. Over the years things have changed and more couples tend not to make so strong commitments any more. It seems to me that marriage is losing it´s meaning and traditional values. What would be the reasons? To begin with, I believe it is strongly connected with the high standards people have. I find that people are quite distrustful of each other, that is why they prefer not to make serious relationships. It think that avoiding serious commitments is like a self-protection. In this sense break-up would be easier to manage with than divorce. We need to be very certain about our partner and feel secure before getting married. What is more, a lot of people nowadays have been married before. They already have experiences in this area

What should be done, that marriage works?

What should be done, that marriage works. (essay) When two people fall in love, they might consider getting married. When they are married, they both hope that their happy life will last forever. There's a lot they can do, to make their marriage work. What clearly needs to be done, is that people shouldn't rush into marriage. They need to take some time to get to know each other very well, because they might find out, that they are too different for each other. This might lead to divorce, and thats what nobody wants. A couple should always be absolutely sure about their love and dedication, before they make such an important decision. Another suggestion is that partners should be supportive in every possible situation. Almost every marriage has some problems. If they have problems, they should discuss things and find the best solutions. They should be flexible. It depends on

What has changed and what would I do to make school a better place? Firstly, there are several things that has been changed in the last few years, such as financing vocational schools. Students of vocational schools get paid for good grades and in some schools even for attending school. Even dorms are paid for students. Choosing the right way to revise guarantees success at the exam

Choosing the right way to revise guarantees success at the exam I Choosing the right way to revise guarantees success at the exam. II For the start, as we know revising for exams can be quite stressful because we have a lot of information to cover. But finding the proper way for you can help you alot! III I actually agree with this statement. In fact, i think that you should find out how you memorize thing in class in order to find out the best way to revise for the exam. For example, if you have a hearing memory, then maybe you should consider recording your notes onto your computer or MP3 player. You should listen to them when you are out and about but not when you are relaxing. Relaxing is a very important part of revising. You should give your brain some rest so it could operate more effectively. Also, while studying you become mentally tired, but on order to sleep,

My ideal home

Now I'll talk about the house itself. Main entrance is a big oaken door. When entering, we can see a stairway heading to the second floor in the right and in the left a coatroom. Right in front of us is a living room, with big leather couches and a huge home movie-theatre. There are self-made sofa cushions on the couch and a rug made out of recycled old clothes. Dining room and the kitchen are separated from the living room with a wall. Kitchen is fully-equipped and there you can find everything you need. A big table, where the family gathers in the evenings, is in the dining room. As I love fire, you can find a fireplace and a lots of candles, which make me feel warm inside in the cold winter nights. Going up the stairs, we have reached the second floor, where are bedrooms, a guest room, two bathrooms and a toilet. Life in Estonia through the eyes of an economics student

I have been studying economics for a few months now and I would not say that my point of view on life in Estonia has changed. There are some things I recently started to look on differently but I am not sure is it because of TUT or not. Through my entire life I have seen Estonia as a strong and fast growing country which is also a fact because Estonian economy was one of the fastest growing in the world until 2006 with growth rates even exceeding 10% annually. I find it being quite impressive. There are some fields which Estonia can fill with supplies by itself. We are nearly energy independent country, supplying over 90% of our electricity need with locally mined oil shale. Estonia has also an alternative energy sources such as wood and peat. Eclipse, Chapter Sixteen – Epoch kokkuvõte

Alice makes a comment about the thief followed by a comment about the activity in Seattle. Hearing the two placed together like that makes something click in Bella's brain. She realizes that the two situations the thief in her room and the newborn vampires in Seattle are related. She also figures out that the thief only broke into her house as a test to see how easy it was to get in and that he only stole things with her scent on them so that others could find her. Determined to keep the information from Edward, Alice darts off just as Edward arrives to go with Bella to the graduation ceremony. At the ceremony, Edward and Bella are separated. Bella listens to Jessica ramble on and on about their time in school. The ceremony goes rather quickly and Bella receives her diploma while Charlie and Jacob cheer for her from the audience. Even through the rest of the graduates are celebrating, Bella is left feeling awkward. Edward questions her about it and

ESSEE Getting the most out of myself

It is much easier to work or study if you are aware which style benefits you the most. For instance, my dominating learning style is auditory and knowing that has made me aware that I benefit more from studying if the information is in audible form. These types of tips can be very helpful in a school environment, especially when the workload is burdening and deadlines are nearing day by day. Thirdly, getting the most out of myself is easy, when I have a goal, vision or an objective. I find it helpful to break a big goal into smaller parts that are easier to achieve. In other words, making an impossible task possible. It might seem like a mental strain to write a book, but if you start by creating one character, then carry on by putting that character into action and building an environment to suite the activity, the task does not seem that daunting anymore. I always follow that technique and I have not yet found any assignment or challenge impossible.

I think that homereading is necessary for those who want to learn English. Everyone should read books if they have free time. Reading is one of the best things to do in your free time. It is very exciting to read a good book. There are many categories of books: fantasy, romantic, fiction, nonfiction, action, adventure, historical, children's and teen's books, biography, educating books, cooking books. The genre of the book depends what the reader likes to read about. I think that everyone can find something interesting for themselves, they just need to search. These days it is easy to find books, the library is full of books and there are many webpages where reader can read e-books online. Reading is not only fun and entertaining but it also improves your writing skill. From books we can learn many new words and write better essays in school. It really improves language and I don't mean foreign language but also native language. We can learn many new ways of

The most important technological invention

flight took off from New York and landed in Paris, soon after that there was a connection between Los Angeles and New York. I can only assume that the tickets had to cost a fortune in the beginning, but the time spared was and is still worth it, as the plane tickets do not even cost so much nowadays, it is perhaps the cheapest and the fastest way to travel. The secound reason why i thought that a plane ment for passengers is the greatest invention is that it is an technological wonder. I still find it hard to believe, that a metal construction, that is enormously heavy is able to take off from the ground and fly. Every piece of the plane has been exactly measured and no mistakes are allowed, since every false calculation can cause multiple deaths. The fact that engineers have accomplished to make the plane fly and carry passengers with an almost zero risk is extraordinary and it is one of the reasons why i want to

Except for the examples below, Google Search usually ignores punctuation. Punctuation & symbols Even though you can use the punctuation marks below when you search, including them doesn’t always improve the results. If we don't think the punctuation will give you better results, you'll see suggested results for that search without punctuation. Symbol How to use it Search for Google+ pages or blood types + Examples: +Chrome or AB+ Find social tags @ Example: @agoogler Find prices $ Example: nikon $400 Find popular hashtags for trending topics # Example: #throwbackthursday When you use a dash before a word or site, it excludes sites with that info from your results. Story about English Humor

definitely the best laughers at themselves. The brightest memory I have from those two videos is that guy in the wheelchair. Unbelievable how selfish and rude they are! And no-one can do anything about that. If they say so then all the people around them have to act like they wish. They are absolutely innocently taking the advantage of other innocent people. Certainly we cannot talk about all disabled people from that point of view, but the exception affirms the rule. And in Britain, you can find a lot of exceptions. The second thing which also amused me was the humiliation of other people for unjustified reasons. The scene of a transsexual lady, feeling sick and puking in the teacup was a perfect example of humiliation in nowadays just in different context. It is a real problematic topic every single country and it only gets worse. Actually it is quite sad that people are only laughing at it, ignoring the problem whether they see it or not

admired, and to own everything. With the exception of the lamplighter, whose dogged faithfulness he admires, the little prince does not think much of the adults he visits, and he does not learn anything useful. However, he learns from the geographer that flowers do not last forever, and he begins to miss the rose he has left behind. At the geographer's suggestion, the little prince visits Earth, but he lands in the middle of the desert and cannot find any humans. Instead, he meets a snake who speaks in riddles and hints darkly that its lethal poison can send the little prince back to the heavens if he so wishes. The little prince ignores the offer and continues his explorations, stopping to talk to a three-petaled flower and to climb the tallest mountain he can find, where he confuses the echo of his voice for conversation. Eventually, the little prince finds a

The most important thing for a happy life

I do not think it is just money or family or an important job that will make my life happy. However, I do not think i have to have it all just a little bit of everything which means a close family, money, good health and a good job. Despite that, I do not think to it is always possible to have it all. There is always something that keeps people from being happy. Some people are not happy even if they have everything they will still find something to complain about. Consequently, I believe it does not matter to some people if they have a good job and a lot of money they will still find a reason for being unhappy.

Letter of protest

protest is an expression of bearing witness on behalf of an express A cause by words or actions with regard to particular events, policies or situations. But why people protest? What are the reasons behind protest? The first thing that comes to my mind is that people protest because they live boring lives. They have nothing to do or they can find excitement anywhere. When something as exciting as protest happens those people might join it just to reduce the boredome in their lives. The other reason why people protest is peer pressure. During revolutions and protests people start judging and criticizing those who don’t participate in the events. Under the effect of peer pressure the ones with low self esteem find themselves forced to take a direction just to please others and not because in what was going on
