Eating habits and health

Eating habits and health Many people prefer eating fast food to home cooked meals nowadays. A typical fast food meal consists of fries, a burger and a soft drink, which is often rich in saturated fat, preservatives and lacking in essential nutrients. Fast Food becomes even more and more popular. Fast food restaurants are found almost everywhere, especially in big cities and crowded places. It is very easy for people to go there. The food is often tasty and available for everyone, because of multitude of the restaurants and low price of the food. It is very easy to go a fast food drive-in after exhausting day at work or on your way to somewhere. It is also possible to even order the food to your home, if necessary. But is this good for your health

The best things in life are free

The best things in life are free Obviously money is important in our lives. Without it we'd have no home to live in, no food to eat and no clothes to wear. Earning a lot of money is the goal of people in their lives. But even if you have millions of dollars, there are some things that you'll never have with money. Many people are born with a some kind of talent. Money can certainly advance your skills by buying music lessons or coaching sessions, but money cannot buy a talent. People can learn to do certain things well by taking lessons but the true gift to do it well can't be bought. Even after years of lessons you can't really play piano or sing as well a person who have the real talent from birth. Money doesn't confer good behavior. There are many rich people who are rude and with no manners but also there are plenty of poor people who demonstrate perfect manners and respect for others. The amount of money you have doesn't show if...

Essee "Homelessness"

We live in a cruel world where people only think about themselves. There are extremely few people who care about homeless people even though homelessness has greatly increased over the past decade. But why is that so? Are they worse than us? As Mike Yakonski once said: “Sometimes it's easy to walk by because we know we can't change someone's whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.” I can relate to that fairly well because everyday i see homeless people and it makes me extremely sad

Dorian Gray, Lord Henry Wotton, Basil Hallward

everyone wants to achieve. And people who envy you often gossip and start nasty rumors about you. A person like Dorian Gray worries about his fading beauty and would do almost anything to keep it. For example he would wish a pretty portrait of himself age instead of him. It is easier to hide away a ugly-looking painting, that depicts the eeriness of your soul, than yourself. All that matters is the present day and the face that you see from the mirror. Right? As it turns out, even for Dorian, the saying out of mind- out of sight doesn't really work. You can only try to deny something but it is inevitable that one day the truth will come out and haunt you again. Since the main emphasize of Dorian's worries concerns his looks it is no wonder that he is selfish and weak. It is not too hard to sway his mind. Whether it is his true nature or an outcome of being easily influenced and manipulated with, Dorian cares not for standards of morality or consequences of his actions

Film review “Scent of a Woman“ 1992 by Martin Brest

York, where he reveals to the student that he intends to visit his family, have a few terrific meals, sleep with a beautiful woman and, finally, commit suicide. Over the weekend, as they learn about life through their series of adventures, they start trusting eachother. Two absolute favourite scenes: The first is in the New York ballroom where the blind Lt. Colonel teaches a lady to dance the tango. It is so smooth and dramatic that even a couch potato is tempted to dance along. The second and most profound is the speech that Al Pacino makes in defense of Charlie at the prep school disciplinary hearing. It has to go down as one of the great orations of all times. I also love the ferrari scene, where Charlie allows the Colonel to drive. In my opinion the purpose of this film is to make people think more about others. It touched me, and even made me cry a bit. I really think it fulfilled it's purpose. The

Speech: Ideas are our greatest weapons

amazing: „The pen is mightier than the sword”. Sadly I don't know whose it is, but it means, that not every war has to be fought with swords and weapons, coming up with an idea about something that isn't violent might be a lot easier way to conquer in life. I think that all of you know that every tool, weapon, Everything that surrounds us, has started with an idea. That shouldn't be new for you. Some people might find it hard to believe, but even the most common things- like chairs, walls, even a pack of bread has been an idea once. Someone had probably felt that his or her legs got tired and sitting on floor might not be so comfortable, so one chose to invent a chair. Think of it- even floor, where people used to sit before chairs were invented is certainly someone's idea and invention. Isn't it strange to think like that? You are probably wondering that why are those ideas then so important? It's a good question and there is no way that it could have that one and only answer

Film Studies - The Black Dahlia

He is able to shoot a woman (Madeline) In well-known Noir films like ``The Big Sleep`` and ``Chinatown`` anti-hero doesn't really look like pretty-boy Bucky but a bit older and macho. Also, when in ``The Big Sleep`` Marlowe, as an anti-hero, is really unemotional, in the closing sequence of ``The Black Dahlia`` we see that Bucky is almost crying. This may lead us to the point that in old times men didn't show much emotions in films but nowadays it is ok, even if it is Film Noir and an anti-hero. Even though, the general dress codes (suits, hats) are still exactly the same. The femme fatale in this film is Madeline Linscott (played by Hilary Swank). Before Noir genre, women were quite inactive figures in Hollywood films. They were wives, mothers or whores and they didn't have much rights. In this gerne, role of women has changed. Through the film Madeline played one of the central roles and even at the end it

Clockwork Orange

POINT OF VIEW Book is written using the first person perspective Alex's narration includes many uncommon words and a slang called Nadsat, which are apparently common to the speech of the youth subculture in the novel. MAIN CHARACTERS Alex is a protagonist. Alex is very easily irritable and very violent, for example he is very fond of opera and classical music but his friend Dim mocks it. Alex gets furious and punches Dim. He is also very arrogant even his gang members think so. The only thing that Alex values is violence and power. He thinks that Devil is inside him and explains that way his violent acts. He is from a good family and enjoys the power he has over his close ones. He has no empathy for his victims that mean he is very cruel. There are two things that Alex enjoys: blood and classical music. IS THE PORTRAYAL OF THE CHARACTERS BELIEVABLE? WHY/NOT? While reading the book, it seems very real, because characters

Indians

India. The name "Indian" was first applied to them by Christopher Columbus, who believed that the mainland and islands of America were part of the Indies, in Asia. So, when the Europeans started to arrive in the 16th- and 17th-century they were met by Native Americans. The Natives regarded their white-complexioned visitors as something of a marvel, not only for their outlandish dress and beards and winged ships but even more for their wonderful technology - steel knives and swords, fire-belching arquebus and cannon, mirrors, hawkbells and earrings, copper and brass kettles, and so on. However, conflicts eventually arose. As a starter, the arriving Europeans seemed attuned to another world, they appeared to be oblivious to the rhythms and spirit of nature. Nature to the Europeans - and the Indians detected this - was something of an obstacle, even an enemy

The social network

We try to deny the importance of the site but without success. It has changed our culture in many ways, making it so modernized that some of us cannot handle it. I am quite positive, that before the movie, people did not really know the basic story of how Facebook was invented. But by now, we have searched the internet, watched the magnificent movie and bought books titled similarly and can tell many interesting facts about our biggest entertainer. Even if the movie were not based on a real story and would have been made up, it would be a masterpiece in any case. Of course the topic is common which makes the movie more interesting and exciting for us. The director David Fincher has done a great job by not trying to force some characters to the audience. He wants us to draw a conclusion and pick a side, not the film. Which is a clever thought forming many discussions on the movie.

Katherine Mansfield

Katherine Mansfield Character Analysis: Laura The character that won my favor is Laura, the protagonist of the story, who comes across as a fragile and insecure young woman. All at once she starts to perceive her role in this complex world. Moreover, she begins to wonder over the values and delusions, which are of great importance in life. Throughout the story it stands to reason that she is trying to establish her true self, even though she is steadily influenced by her family, especially by her mother. On account of her constant questionings she finally evolves into an individual, who is capable of distinguishing essential truths of life from unimportant ones, however she still remains to be uncertain, which may indicate that her discoveries are not all-encompassing in nature and may fade away from the memory. From the very beginning it is evident that Laura is a young lady, who tries to learn how to establish herself

How far can we go being tolerant?

Their percecution was caused by their antichristian beliefs and holding on to their own religion. Its culmination came during the World War II, when the massive Jew-baiting took place, known as the Holocaust. People's, who obeyed Adolf Hitler, tolerance changed to a very cruel way of intolerance. Very hot topic is also discrimination and not accepting homosexuals. Despite of that, many countries have allowed people with different sexual orientations to get married and even adopt children. There have even been gay parades even in Estonia, not to mention the ones that have been organised in world capitals like Rome and Berlin. Tough it is surrounded with a lot of critizism, it is a huge step to grew people's tolerance. My father once told me that earlobs can show people's tolerance. The longer the lobs, the more tolerant the person. It might be a fairytale or a grain of truth. If it is a fairytale, then he just wanted show-off his long earlobs

I personally have seen even several movies based on it and also enjoyed reading the book. The novel mainly talks about a girl named Jane and her life as a guverness in Thornfield. When Jane reaches adulthood, she decides to work for the wealthy Mr.Rochester and teach his child who he himself is not that fond of. Usually those people can not be cured, there is no help for them they just lust for money. One person who wishes good for everyone is not enough because there is not much that he can do alone, he needs strong assistance. But If that person still does help others no matter of the difficulty then it is clear that he/she has a good inside of herself/himself. God is good and wishes the best for everyone, but it does not happen because of the devil, because his mission is to keep everything equal even if it doesn't seem like there are equal amount of good and bad people in world. It seems like there are a lot of theese kind of people who just doesn't care of others misfortune. They seem like neutral in the fight of good and bad, but it shows that the devil has won the fight against god, because people should naturally care of each other. If God is almighty why doesn't he look after everyone, why does he let so many innocent people to die

Stress

Stress Stress is a necessary part of nature. It´s the organism´s defence mechanism for changes in the surrounding enviorment. Without it we could not survive. Stress has many effects on the body that are necessary for a reaction to the stressor. When an animal senses danger, it automatically triggers a fight or flight response. In case of a lifethreatening situation, stress is an invaluable ally. It can even motivate us to prepeare for upcoming challenges. But as we move further and further from our natural habitat, stress becomes more of nuisance than a lifesaver. Things that cause stress to the modern man are nothing compared to the problems that troubled our ancestors. Few hundred years ago the average european was still worrying about his livestock being looted. But we feel that a Powerpoint presentation that is due tomorrow is something that threatens our existance

But well, we all make mistakes, sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller. I'm going to talk about a short story about bullying in my childhood in my other school. We had a really great class and almost everybody held together. But like in almost every class, there is someone different from others and that may cause them problems with the other people. We had very many these classmates who were a little bit bullied and couldn't stand for themselves

George Orwell "Animal Farm" essay - "Human nature exposed in the novel"

Human nature exposed in G.Orwell's ,,Animal Farm" Humans are the most deceitful animals in the World. Even if we do not want to confess it to ourselves, we have to accept the fact that humans constantly change their ways of thinking and acting to make the World a better place to live in for themselves. Our lives are fulfilled with lies we enter to our or someone else's mind. A lot of it is connected to people's constant need of power and control. "Animal Farm" is a book that reverberates that kind of human nature through politics, dictatorship and power,

A New Beginning

The man was seriously scared now, but since he was one of the Royal Solders fear was not allowed to be shown in public. So he drew his half-iron, half-silver sword and decided to go back to the field, but then he thought: "Alec told me to run...It means I mustn`t return to That place anymore...What should I do?" Suddenly the cloudy autumn sky turned red and the rider heard some wild animal roaring. This was unacceptable to his brave lionheart and he ran off to the forest not looking back even once. He wandered pointlessly many hours thinking of his friend whom was taken away by some mysterios beast. "Maybe the Devil really exists?" he whispered anxiously to the trees, but they didn`t give him an answer, they only swayed in the chilly wind. Finally there was light ahead, so the rider thanked the Queen and hurried towards an unexpected destination. He hoped it to be a village or even better a small city. But all his dreams broke when

To swear or not to swear ?

com/swearing1.htm). As can be seen, swearing has many reasons, but the first one is probably the most common. Using a swear word to emphasize something is often necessary as it shows how people really feel about things Secondly, swearing can be also quite beneficial. It can be a a useful substitute to physical violence as swearing often frees people from anger or frustation.Swear words can also be used in a more positive manner, in the form of jokes and humor, storytelling, self-deprecation or even social commentary. If one may want to emphasize how great one feels something is, a swear words emphasizes the positive feelings you have for that object, situation, person or event ("This concert is fucking awesome!"). Sure, one could just say "This concert is awesome," but the addition of the swear word emphasizes the emotional reaction we have toward it -- and easily conveys that emotional reaction to others (psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2009/03/30/why-do-we-swear)

A Computer in my life

I used to have PC, but in September I bought myself a laptop. It's powerful, beautiful, it doesn't make much noise and it's quite easy to carry around. I use it to play games, study, watch movies, listen to music and the most important to connect with my friends. I rarely have problems with my computer. I'm an advanced user and I don't get viruses while surfing the net. After graduating high school, I'm thinking of buying tablet PC, because it's even more comfortable to use when you're on the move. Sometimes when I wake up early, I open my laptop, visit my webpages and then read news. After school, first thing I do, when I get home, I open my laptop and put some music on play. I always eat behind the computer, study behind the computer, sometimes I even sleep behind the computer. I sit behind the computer everyday until the midnight. I only move away from here, when I have to go to gym, or driving school.

Rolls Royce

" First Rolls Royce ever made was Rolls-Royce 10hp in 1904. It had 1.8L, 4 cylinder engine 12 hp and top speed of 63 km/hr. In comparison Rolls Royce automobiles produced today have at least 453 hp 12 cylinder engines, which gives it an extra smooth characteristics, just like every proper luxury car should have. But Rolls Royce is not only known for their luxurious silky smooth ride. They also are known for their performance. These massive road cruisers can even reach speeds up to 260 km/h! What makes Rolls Royce really stand out, is that all of their models share same distinctive features, which other luxury cars do not have. First of all, all Rolls Royce automobiles are very masculine looking. They have large front end with a distinctive grille, that just looks simply astonishing. These cars just radiate AUTHORITY. In fact, workers spend 5 hours polishing the front grille alone to make it stand out.

Imagination will make us infinite

Their imagination running wild. Albert Einstein said that “Imagination is more important than knowledge, because with knowledge we are limited to everything we know and understand, while with imagination , it makes us infinite. With your imagination, it can take you to places that you never dreamed about. If you’re having a bad day, it could truly be your only weapon against reality. It can take you back on a vacation or it can fast-forward to an event that hasn’t even taken place yet. With imagination, it gives us the ultimate freedom, the power to choose, the power to change and the power to advance. Just imagine for a second that you had a superpower of your choosing. You could have super strenght, immortality, invisibility, you name it. The only limiting factor is yourself. I know everybody has thought about this at one point in his life. It isn’t hard and once you can imagine it and imagine how it works. Then how far is reality from it?

The highest result of education is tolerance

........Okay, let's just drop that question for now, we'll come back to it later. If I would ask you Where do we get our education from you all would probably say: From schools duuuh! But what is a school? Tallinn English College? Yeah, it is a school with all those fancy numbers with what you can become successful........but the greatest education comes from the life school where we learn about other people's views and thoughts. And when those views happen to have even a slight difference from our own then we start a discussion what at the end of the day helps us to understand the world in a better way, more opened minded way. As we all know Helen Keller was a remarkable activist with a really high tolerance level. Tolerating our fellow compatriots should be every person's goal. For me seeing a bigoted with a high degree is just asinine. How can you even name yourself so called educated person

Might the Welsh language face a bright future?

Might the Welsh language face a bright future? Welsh belongs to a branch of Celtic, an Indo-European language. The language is being used about half a million people in Wales and possibly another few hundred thousand people within England and even Australia and United States of America. The normal language of every day life is still English but in some regions such as Gwynedd and Dyfed, the use of Welsh is very wide and well spread. The tendency nowadays is towards the development and introduction of Welsh. This could not have been said at the first part of the 20th century. Welsh have been under the reign or a part of Great Britain for a long time. During the 16 th

damaging your belongings, stealing your money, taking your friends away from you. Now, to talk about why people bully someone there are many aspects. Some bullies do it to get attention or to make other people afraid of them. Others might be jealous of the person they are bullying. It makes bully feel, stronger, smarter, or better than the person he or she is bullying. Some people think that it's one of the best ways to keep others from bullying himself. What is even worse, some bullies may not even understand how wrong their behaviour is and how it makes the person being bullied feel. Some young people are bullied for no particular reason, but sometimes it's because they are different in some way. It could be the colour of their skin, their financial condition, the clothes they wear or even their name. Some people think bullying is just part of growing up and a way for young people to learn to stick up for themselves. But bullying can make young people feel lonely, unhappy

Why is Australia young people's dreamland

dreamland Australia is very far away from other developed countries. That's why young people who go there feel free and are happy to run their own lives. The climate in Australia is very warm and that's why enjoying life there feels so great. Most young people go there with a group of friends. They work for some time and then start to spend earned money. They drive around, try new things and party a lot. Some young settle down there and start their own family. Some get new acquaintances and even work themselves up and get rich. Living in Australia isn't very expensive, some young stay even in a hotel. But living style and culture are different. This difference and distance attracts young like honey flies. Australia is many times bigger than Estonia. And that also means more opportunities, in many different fields. In Estonia there is quite hard to find or get a job, you need to have experience. But experience is exactly what young people don't have

TV violence, Essee

Children usually want to be soldiers or gangsters. As a result, they attempt to follow their lead, which often leads to the development of negative models of behavior. Also, some people think that fighting scenes, explosions, shooting scenes and other violent elements of movies are so awesome and they also want to spice up their lives and do something “cool”. The impact of TV violence may be immediately evident in a child’s behavior or may surface years later, and young people can even be affected when the family atmosphere shows no tendency toward violence. However, this does not mean that violence on television is the only source for aggressive or violent behavior, but it is a significant contributor. After taking some negative character from the movie as a model, people will start to behave really stupidly, aggressively or dangerously. Some people start to pick a quarrel to get into a fight, but usually it ends with some bruises and bleeding nose

Essee Eating disorders

Advertisers heavily market weight-reduction programs and present anorexic young models as the paradigm of sexual desirability. Also, clothes are designed and displayed for thin bodies in spite of the fact that few women could wear them successfully. Another thing to mention is genetic factors. According to studies, anorexia is eight times more common in people who have relatives with the disorder. This disease will become apparent after some kind of psychological shock. Finally, even their families can give negative influence. Although, almost every parent knows how important right nutrition is, there are also some people who behave differently. Sometimes some ignorant parents even urge their children to lose weight. In conclusion, there is no single cause for eating disorders. The actual cause of these disorders appears to result from many factors.

in there own way. Some of the people are optimistic and the others are not. But is my glass half-full or half-empty? To answer this question I have to weigh all the pros and cons. For example, sometimes in hard situations I just give up, because I just can no longer force this. But I still know, that somewhere deep in my heart there is hope that everything will be alright. That is why I can proudly call myself an optimistic person! And I want to give you good advice! Even on those days when nothing in your life seems to be going right, it can be really tough to see the silver lining among all those clouds. But ability to see the good in even the worst situations is so important. Try to be more optimistic and you will see-life is not that bad! The world is beautiful! "Pros and Cons of state education"

The Pros and Cons of State Education Most of the people in Estonia receive state education. Estonian schools have been laid down in the National Curriculum. So you get the same education from any of the state schoole. Firstly, I'd like to say that the main problem is that the curriculum is too rigid. Although this gives all the students a fair change of getting a good and even better education, it doesn't take into consideration that some children just can't cope with all that knowledge. This makes the students restless and that leads to bad behaviour. Secondly, we can say that the education you get in Estonia is above average, cause Estonia is a highly developed country. This is mainly because of the National Curriculum that makes all schools give a good average education. A good thing about the state schools is that they are usually quite near to where u live

new movies but in cinema. Nowadays we can watch them at home - on the web. We can download or watch streaming movies and that for a small fee. Ofcourse there ar ways to get them for free, but that is piracy, which is illegal. But our entertainment possibilities does not end with movies. Not at all! Computers are used alot when listening to music or playing games. There is now a huge industry for computer gamers, which is one of the most profitable industry in the world. But even that is not it! You can draw pictures, edit them and make even your own movies or videos, using computers. The possibilities never end! The more and more widespread use of computers in everyday-life has a deep influence on our lives. Chat rooms allow us to connect with like minded people and discuss with them about our favourite topics. Messengers also allow us to connect to your friends across the world and talk to them. We use computers to talk and chat with people all over the world

Housing

the building of their own houses. This notion of houses principally as investment leads to a strange approach toward house prices. Individuality and conformity Flats are not unpopular just because they do not give enough privacy. It is also that they do not allow enough scope for the expression of individuality. Not everything about housing in Britain displays individuality. Most houses are built one at a time. Instead, whole streets, even neighborhoods, are built at the same time and same design. But if you walk down the same street that you saw from the air, every single house would seem differentpeople give individuality to their house. All this says to us that anybody who wants to built an extension to their house must first get "planning permission" from the local authorities. Interiors: the importance of cosiness British idea of home is as much psychological as physical, so is their idea of domestic comfort.

Letter of complaint

them (although we were promised to travel in style and comfort) and the air stewards didn't even greet us. They sat in the corner and yawned. In addition to previous none of us didn't dare to use the toilets toilets were filthy. We were told that during the flight it's possible to read free newspaper and enjoy feature film. At first there were no newspaper and secondly we could see only children's cartoon. Even though there were no children on the flight. Regrettably we were not happy with the ,,full meal with wine". We were offered only cold snacks. What's more, the air stewards were rude and unhelpful. Why do you promise friendly staff if you don't have any? I hope you appreciate my disappointment and will consequently take action to improve the service of Eagle Airlines Flight 6048. I look foward hearing from you. Your's faithfully, ......................

Should we first discover our homeland before going abroad?

Should we first discover our homeland before going to other countries? It does not matter where in the world you live you always tend to think that anywhere else life is better and has more opportunities to success in life. It may be so but the majority sometimes does not even know the chances and advantages of their own homeland. If to talk about in the matter of travelling then I am assured that it is not relevant to drive through all your homeland in order to take a plane to another country. Some of the countries (or some parts of it) are so big or hardly reachable that half of the locals wont access these parts of the country never in their whole lifetime. I am certain that no one should waste their life on acting like someone has said to be right instead of

Fast food

Fast Food Eating fast food has became very common nowadays, because of people's life pace. People are often busy and it is easier to go to a fast food restaurant for few minutes than cook meal at home or wait for your meal at regular restaurant. A typical fast food meal consists of fries, a burger and a soft drink, which contains much calories and fat. Fast Food becomes even more and more popular. Fast food restaurants are found almost everywhere, specially in big cities and crowded places. It is very easy for people to go there. The food is often tasty and available for everyone, because of multitude of the rastaurants and low price of the food. Wealth does not bring happiness essay

Wealth does not bring happiness People work for money, play lottery for money and some of us even commit crimes to get money. It sometimes seems that wealth is the main values in life but it does not actually bring happiness. No matter how wealthy you are, you still can not buy love or friends. Even worse, people that seem to care about you may only be intrested in your money. Furthermore, some people work for their lives to get wealthy but unfortunately, they forget about the most important- their families. Wealth can change people the way they in point of fact never wanted to change. On the other hand, being wealthy prevents financial problems and this means less worrying. You can buy things you really need plus you can support the underprivileged and the less fortunate

Love and forgiveness

Nobody wants to be humiliated. In the first place, when someone has insulted you, and the person admits that he has been wrong, then i see no reason why not to forgive him. I think that it is important that the person himself understands his fault. Everyone needs a second chance. Furthermore, you want to forgive someone, who is really related to you. However, you cannot forgive everything. For example, when your girlfriend has cheated on you and when she even do not admit her fault. That is true that everybody needs a second chance, but not when someone uses you malevolently. I think this is unacceptable. On the whole, i think that it is hard to forgive someone, when the person do not admit his fault, even when the person is close to you. Some people just do not admit that they were wrong, because it makes them feel awkward. But also it is everyone's own choice, if they forgive or not.

Money Makes The World Go Round

Money Makes the World Go Round Money is powerful. People do everything to get money, the more the better. Some people even kill to get more money or that the other man would not get that much. Why has money become so valuable? When I was a small boy, I thought of money as a piece of paper that my parents give away at the store. Growing up, I have realized the power of this paper. It can get you everything. And by everything I mean absolutely everything. It can get you food, a house, a car, a bike, sometimes even love. When you go outside, then you often see homeless persons looking for bottles

Living in the countryside is boring

Living in the countryside is boring A lot of people say that living in the countryside is boring, I think it depends on how creative people can be. In addition there are many young people, who live in the countryside and they are really pleased with their lives, because they know how to make living there interesting, in spite of the difficulties they are creating a children centre, where all the young people can come together. Nevertheless there are a lot of children who won't even bother to do something to change their lives, although they will probably just be whining to their parents how boring it is in the countryside. In my opinion, living in the countryside is awesome. I think that people, who live outside of big cities are more tolerant and friendly. To sum up I have lived in countryside all my life and I am not complaining. I have friends here and I can deal with my hobbies. On the other hand I am not denying that living in a city

The Advantages and Disadvantages of being immortal

What are the advantages and disadvantages of living forever? Scientists believe that in 30 years we have a technology, that makes possible to live forever. Being immortal has its advantages and disadvantages, which you can't just look over. Living for decades or even eons, a person gets the chance to see his future generations. It gives an opportunity to see, how fast the world changes every day. I think most people, who hear about being immortal, think that it would be great. But if they think about it, then they realise that it also has its bad side. For example, you won't grow older of the age you started being immortal, and you will always have the same look, just as 30 or 50 years ago. All the memories from your childhood will vanish in time.

Smacking children

Smacking children Parents all over the world use smacking in the purpose of discipline, even though in reality it is child abuse. Children's behaviour needs to be controlled but they shouldn't be suffering. Firstly it seems to me that parents who continuously beat their children don't care about them. Although few slight slaps for punishment are enough parents still beat them hard. Parents should be the ones who protect children not the ones who children have to be afraid of. In addition some parents equate smacking with discipline although these two are not the same

Chinatown review

The different leves are combined very smoothly but it doesn't get boring, because of it's enthrilling action scenes, rudeness and drama.4 About the cast Jack Nicholson seems to be the perfect actor choice for the leading role. He has that charm and intelligence to perfectly carry out the role of Gittes. In the movie, he is even more appealing with his broken nose, than he was before. The sarcastic humour and the pointed saying in the movie made the audience smile and even laugh.
