To swear or not to swear ?

Thirdly, although swearing may have positive sides as well, it is still seen as inappropriate or "bad language", which comes from bad manners or low education. Especially problematic is it when children swear, although they may not mean anything bad, or do not even know what the word means, they simply imitate, what they have heard from parents, for example. Usually, when a child swears, it may show to others, how the child`s parents have raised him/her. Of course there are certain situation as well, where swearing is unacceptable, for example formal events, among people who are complete strangers, with parents, grandparents, at school etc. Although swearing may be in some ways a positive phenomenon, people should use swear words only when really necessary or where it is acceptable. Of course, parents should teach their children, why they can not use certain words and how offensive they are. Actually all people swear and it has

Tolerance.

A person, who has sustained constant mocking in matters, which he might not be the one to blame, might be smiling on the outside, but going through hell on the inside. And hell is definitely not the place we would like to find ourselves. That points us to the fact that religious people are often persecuted and even the Bible says, that the life of a Christian is no picnic, you have to stand above mockery and the fact that you may be rejected from the society. Of course there are many people who think differently. The facts that Christians burned heretics, tortured thousands of innocent people until they confessed to something they did not do and that Christianity goes against science makes us difficult to be tolerant. Some of us may have a question: "Why should we be kind to them if they have done so much bad to us?" There are no us or they. We all have our good and bad sides. However evolution doesn't like tolerance. Tolerance means, that we will

Cars enslave us rather than liberate us

Cars enslave us rather than liberate us Transportation is something that has a big influence on people's lives. Especially cars that offer the best comfort for humans. There is always a need to go somewhere: to school, work or just for a journey and it is always good to reach a destination as soon as possible. Of course, the importance of the car depends on the person's residence, whether the person lives in a city or in the countryside, the needs are different. In my opinion, cars enslave people because once a person gets behind the wheel, there is no way out of this comfort. To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult

Might the Welsh language face a bright future?

The tendency nowadays is towards the development and introduction of Welsh. This could not have been said at the first part of the 20th century. Welsh have been under the reign or a part of Great Britain for a long time. During the 16 th century, particularly at the time of Henry the VIII, they tried to force the Welsh language out by an Act which declared that the language to be used in courts and administrative offices would have to be English. And of course the most natural process started as people were forced to talk English, they taught their children English and the Welsh language was to be forgotten. But that did not happen. The Welsh language has had its ups and downs, being mostly at its low level. But now I think that the situation has changed. Nowadays more and more young people cherish their roots and it is important to be proud of their origin. The future of the language lies in the hands of the young generation

"Sometimes I get people coming to me saying something like, 'I just know I want to work with animals.' They go away amazed at the opportunities available." You might even like your new role so much that your partner decides to copy you. When Chris Oldale, 43, an HR manager, went on a taster course about becoming a gas engineer, he took his wife, 49, along. "What I had not expected was to see her getting stuck in with a blowtorch. She wound up liking it so much that she gave up her IT job to join me in my career change." The same happened with Annie and Paul Clayton, both 42. "We both worked in the police for nearly 20 years," says Annie. "But Paul had become disillusioned and had a friend who was a tree surgeon. Essay about England

How is the modern-day Commonwealth different? The British Empire used to be one of the largest and wealthiest empires in the world. Its prosperity started at the early 1600s and reached its high peak at the end of the World War I. The Empire faded into the Commonwealth at the end of 1930s as one colony after another gained its independence. After studying the topic I would say that it cannot be said whether the British Empire was a very good or a very bad thing. Of course any kind of oppression should not be approved of and actually the Empire and native British forced on their way of life and culture to the colonies. On the other hand the Empire also helped its subjects to develop in a positive sense. In overall Britain ruled several parts of the world, like India, parts of Africa, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia, but also Ireland. Just to prove my point I will give some examples how the British Empire affected its subjects.

How far can we go being tolerant?

How far can we go being tolerant? Tolerance- it is the willingness to accept or tolerate somebody ot something especially opinions or behaviuor that you may not agree with, or people who are not like you. When we speak about tolerance and being tolerant, then of course all of us do not have the same opinion about tolerance. There is saying that there are as many different opinions as people in the world and talking about tolerance is not different. How we tolerate other people and their behaviour depends a lot of how we are raised and educated, where we live and who we connect to When we hear word ,,tolerant" then mostly we connect it with homo sexuals, racism, religion and all kinds of different people(disabled people for example) and how we

How does virtual communication influence our behaviour and relationships

that 95% use email and other virtual communication software. This percentage has grown over 130% from the year 2000. I bring my examples on North-America because there is the highest percentage of Internet users in population. Talking of it, what is internet? Statistics say that it is porn, but I believe that people mostly use it for communication. But can it be bad? Along with the use of the Internet, obesity also has grown dramatically. 1 out of 10 Americans is obese. Why, you ask? Of course the utmost important reason is that people choose to drive their cars instead of going on foot, but there is more. People don't physically visit each other anymore and why should they, when they can talk and have fun without even rising from their seats. Nowadays they can even order food and other domestic products online. Why leave the safety of your home, when everything is online? My second argument will be the psyche of the people overusing virtual communication

Arkady Shilkloper gives concerts and master-classes around the world ( approx. 100 a year) in: Russia, Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Panama, China, Korea and Australia. A few years back, Arkady performed in Nõmme sports centre which I also attended with my family and since then, I have been completely enraptured by his music and skills. I, as a french horn player myself, understand the difficulties and of course the beauty of the instrument best and I am absolutely delighted that a man like him exists to use so many different sides of the brass instruments. To master the french horn itself is very difficult, but to use the other brass so skillfully is in my opinion amaizing. I have listend to many professional french horn players around the globe, but Arkady still remains my favorite. When I started this assignment, the first person who came to my mind was Arkady Shilkloper, but

I didn't think it's beautiful. Always if someone asked me about it, i didn't want to answer. My name does not have a special meaning, but my mother says that name was cute and an Estonian. Now, when I've grown up, I almost like my name, because I don't know very much peoples who have the same name. For me, it shows a piece of specificity. I can't say that I love my name, but I don't hate it too. During my lifetime I have embraced it and I don't ashamed it. Of course, it could always be better, but all in all, actually I'm happy with my name.

How to survive in Estonia. Guide for foreigner

" However, still there is a tendency in politics and dissatisfaction with the political situation in the country. Each is based on our personal experience and what he sees around him. Opinions differ, but is confident that most will converge in one- it is not easy to live in Estonia and you cannot live only by subsidy. You've got to be able to adapt and be competitive, in other words, "must be able to Survive." So how to adapt and survive in Estonia? Of course many things depends on the mood of the original. In general, all children should receive the same education. However, many parents cannot afford to send their children to a private school. I think it is unequal, because some parents do not have enough money. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of state and private schools. Firstly, there are many different facilities in private schools. For example, there are swimming pools, skating rinks, libraries, etc. I have heard that one school has its own drama class. Of course, state schools cannot afford such things like drama classes and swimming-pools. I am very happy because we have a stadion, a gym, and a finess studio. Secondly I would like to bring out free-of-charge textbooks, exercise books and free In conclusion, it is a very good choice to go to a state school. Firstly, there are no fees. Inglise keelne intervjuu

The exact name and location of the farm shall be left undisclosed, but it is certainly one of the most prestigious in England, meaning that stresses and strains are many meeting high expectations demands intense work. Marc and Catherine kindly ask me to join them in their cozy little house near the farm. We sit down by the fireplace and Catherine serves her special and at least locally very famous tea the exact recipe is a well-kept secret, of course. Was working in a farm something you planned already long ago? Marc: No, not really. In high school I actually planned to become a chemical engineer. It's funny how haphazard things in life change and affect so many other things. Practical chemistry lead me first to household chemicals, then I started studying fertilizers and discovered the charms of agriculture. As I've grown up in a big city, cows and other farm

Choices after secondary school

Should student go to university, vocational school or to the work after secondary scool. It is big step in their life and ther is no right answer for them. Choosing the university menas thaht you have to study atleast 3 more years and usually undergrad have to work at the same time for living. It is stressful time and some of the students can't carry it through. . But also there is good points choosing the university you will get many friends, exiting undergrad life and of course education. I think that university is for them who wants to study something more. Choosing the work doesn't sound good at all, because usually you have to work places where your salary is quite low at the beginning. But also there is exceptions, some of the students who choosed the work can have a very good job, because many business educates the workers at the same time.

Complaint letter

Dear Sir or Madam, 6 October 2009 I am writing to complain about repetitious delays in rail service last week and to claim the vouchers you have referred in your information leaflet. Whereas all my classes in London start at 10 o'clock sharp and I do not want to be late because I have paid for these I always check the schedule for the most convenient choice of train. Nevertheless last week all my journeys to my course delayed. On the worst day the train was 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Therefore I missed two classes in addition to numerous delays and loss of nerves. Although I understand that the weather conditions last week were extremely complicated the deferments should have been prevented, because that is quite predictable especially in October. As you have proposed in your information leaflet, which I picked up from the station,

A letter of application

A Letter of Application Dear Madam, I am writing in connection with the appeal in Internatioanl Crisis Agency. According to the appeal, you are looking for volunteers to help the animals in danger of extinction. Although I am not a professional veterinarian, I would like to volunteer. I am a 22-year-old postgraduate intern. I have completed a course in consulting and I have a certificate in first aid. Futhermore I have helped in several actions that were going on in the wild areas to protect the spieces from extincting. As a result I have some experience in drastic situations. I do not know if I have any of the specialised skills that you need, but I could certainly help to protect those animals, give them first aid or any relevant prospective help they might need. All in all I would be very happy if I could be somewhat helpful

Inimese kirjeldus

Not long time ago I met again with Helena. I haven't seen her since last year christmas. She is very beautiful and gorgeous. I first met her some years ago at party. There were many beautiful looking girls ,but she was only one who I leapt the eye on. She had curly blond hair, blue eyes, tiny nose, small bright red mouth, bright white top and small red skirt, curvy body figure just like an angel. For today she is changed a lot. She got long black hair with pink stripes in it and still she got that pretty face, she's wearing high-heel shoes, black tight jeans, and black calash top. In her character is something special what I like. She is friendly most of the time, she got so much energy but she don't have a place to express herself. And the thing what I like most about her that she is very honest with me i think and i can trust her allways and of course she is very helpful.

Hillary Duff

I think that Hilary is a friendly and kind person. I also think that she is decisive and responsible. She is elegant. Somebody has said that deep down she has an aggressive attitude. She loves reading and dancing. She also likes listening to music and singing. Often she goes shopping with her older sister Haylie Duff. She loves swimming and watching movies. I like Hilary because she has the main character in my favourite film "A Cinderella Story". Of course she is my favourite actor and singer. My favourite song by her is ,,Wake up".

Career planning

to have a career plan.  It is better to have even a general plan than no plan.  Goals are one of the many choices you have to make when planning your career.  Having goals can help you to deal with problems and can lead to sth worthwhile.  Before you make any decisions you should now which choices are available to you.  For example, if you want to work in photography, you firstly need to find out where you can do such a course.  Then you should compare the different programmes and decide which ones to apply to.  Definately make sure you have enogh information to make a good decision.  You should also think about wheter you want to work outdoors or indoors, with people or with computers, work with your hand or with mind and so on  In my opinion the best job is a job where you can relate your intrests and work together.

The Noble Savage in the 20th Century Fiction

In order to defeat the Empire, Luke must face his adversary Darth Vader. The only way to do that is to fullfill his destiny and become a jedi, and that is where Yoda steps in. He mentors Luke in the way of the Force, teaching him patience and the balance between the Light and the Dark side, how to restrain his anger and recklessness. Luke is the hero the consumer follows. Yoda is the mentor who gives the actual lessons. Luke does not teach us anything, we learn with him in course of the story. Yoda is the savage with the quirky apprearance, strange voice and grammatically incorrect sentences, bottomless wisdom and badass Force skills. Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid (1984) is another example. The hero here is Daniel LaRusso, an outcast who can not handle his bullies. He meets a handyman Mr. Miyagi who agrees to teach Daniel the tricks of karate so he could build his confidence, defeat his villain and get the girl he likes

Essay about NewZealand and Australia

He named it Aotearoa The Land of the Long White Cloud. Although these facts can be debatable, I will focus my attention on this interpretation of Maori history. After the Maori arrived to New Zealand, they started to develop into tribes and sub tribes, this tribal system is still in use. Their culture had almost no influence from the rest of the world. They evolved a culture endorsed by agriculture and hunting. Of course the Maori were warriors as well. They had inter-tribal battles, mostly over territory and the losers became slaves or food. Regardless of that they are historically not to be considered as cannibals. There was only one tribe that were, other tribes just kept the heads of their defeated to secure their mana or enemy's power. The Maori had a complex social structure of tribes, sub-tribes and clans and a concrete society made up of nobility, priestly and slave classes
