"Pros and Cons of state education"

Firstly, I'd like to say that the main problem is that the curriculum is too rigid. Although this gives all the students a fair change of getting a good and even better education, it doesn't take into consideration that some children just can't cope with all that knowledge. This makes the students restless and that leads to bad behaviour. Secondly, we can say that the education you get in Estonia is above average, cause Estonia is a highly developed country. This is mainly because of the National Curriculum that makes all schools give a good average education. A good thing about the state schools is that they are usually quite near to where u live. The teachers are well qualified. This makes the education even better. In conclusion i'd like to say that the state education has its pros and cons but the pros outnumber the cons.

Being an exchange student – a useful experience or a waste of time?

I have always wanted to be an exchange student. I think that it would be a nice variety to the everyday life. In my opinion being an exchange student is a useful experience, but it also has some negative sides. Firstly there are some arguments that support being an exchange student. If a person has to manage in a totally new environment for a whole year, he or she gets a lot of experience for life away from parents. Exchange year also gives a great language practice. No matter which country an Estonian chooses, it would have a different mother language than we have. Secondly there are soma arguments that do not support being an exchange student. If a person has hard time managing with his or her new life, it could leave a negative view to entire trip. It can also happen, if the person gets homesick and just cannot enjoy the exchange year. I would definitely like to be an exchange student. I think that I would have a lot more to gain from the trip than to lose.

What are the most needed professions in Estonia in the 21st Century

Most needed professions in Estonia in the 21st Century All people in our society have a role. All adults should have jobs. That means they need to choose a professions. In my opinion one the most needed professions is a doctor. When people get sick, they need doctors to check them, put diagnose and treat them. In my opinion there are few specialists in Estonia because lot of them go to foreign country, mostly because of the low salary in Estonia. Another job needed is teachers. If you want to study a specialty or aquire a high school you need teachers who will guide and teach. The third most needed profession is builders. The cities grow and new building`s are being razed and in turn, the economy is growing. Some old houses are being restored like they used to be in the past. I think that all three professions are needed in Estonia and that employees in this field do not leave Estonia when raise salary and they are reco...

The Historic Centre (Old Town) of Tallinn

The city developed as a significant centre of the Hanseatic League during the major period of activity of this great trading organization in the 13th-16th centuries. The combination of the upper town on the high limestone hill and the lower town at its foot with many church spires forms an expressive skyline that is visible from a great distance both from land and sea. The upper town (Toompea) with the castle and the cathedral has always been the administrative centre of the country, whereas the lower town preserves to a remarkable extent the medieval urban fabric of narrow winding streets, many of which retain their medieval names, and fine public and burgher buildings, including town wall, Town Hall, pharmacy, churches, monasteries, merchants' and craftsmen' guilds, and the domestic architecture of the merchants' houses, which have survived to a remarkable degree. The distribution of building plots survives virtually intact from the 13th-14th centuries.

Dear Tom, It was nice to hear from you and you asked me to write about religious holidays that are celebrated in my country. I will talk about Easter and Christmas celebrations. Easter is a moveable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar. The date of Easter therefore varies between March 22 and April 25. Originally only Christians celebrated Easter. According to Christians, Jesus was resurrected from the dead that day. Newer elements such as the Easter Bunny and Easter egg have become part of the holiday's modern celebrations, and those

The Major Environmental Problems In Estonia

The Major Environmental Problems in Estonia The environment and saving it are important topics in today's world. In fact there are often several articles in newspapers and on television about environmental problems all around the world. To begin with, Estonia is a little country with small towns. In spite of that there is pollution. Most of the people here have their own cars and they prefer driving five hundred meters by car than walking by foot. In addition to that pollution is also caused by industries which are often located in towns near peoples' homes. As Estonia belongs to developed countries, people have enough power purchased and they mindlessly buy things they do not even need. According to that there is overconsumption which also causes huge waste dumps.

Everyone should be made to learn English

Everybody knows their own language, but it is useful to know foreign languages. In present society we have to, at least, know basic English, because nowadays it plays a major international role and everything is based on English. Nowadays you can go almost everywhere and you can (make through everything when you know some English. For example; It is a whole lot easier to find a job, read English literature in the original. If you know the language of the country, where you're travelling to, it will be easier to go there. Knowledge of foreign languages helps us to develop friendship and understanding among the other people and it is easy to find and visit such camps and speak with people who do not know Estonian. Also you can read something and also understand films without any help. I find that English connects different people and helps us to feel like a big multicultural family.

The advantages and disadvantages of getting some work experience as a teenager.

But in volunteer work are the advantages and disadvantages. Firstly the first advantage is that teenagers can earn money by doing, so they can afford do buy what they want. For example a girl can buy a dress that has long wanted, but buy can buy new shoes. The second advantage is that the teenager did not come to work full day, and he could see his friends. The third advantage is that teenagers can go to work in another country. But all is not well. Disadvantages of working adolescents in that it will be very difficult to find work, because they do not want to take all teenagers. Secondly, the second advantage can be disadvantage, because the less you work less and earn money. Finally, I can say that many teenagers did not notice any disadvantages, because at this age money is important.

What are the benefits and dangers of building new factories?

What are the benefits and dangers of building new factories? Many successful companies increase their production by building factories. People tend to say it has completly negative effect on them. Do factories affect us unfavourbly or can they also be positive? On the one hand, there are some advantages of building new factories. Firstly, unemployed people get new job. Secondly, country gets huge income from successful company. Next, if factories uses recyclable material, it would save earths resources and also slow down global warming. On the other hand, there are some throwbacks as well. Firstly, companies which do not have experience with factories might produce an enormous amount of air pollution. Secondly, sophisticated combinations need highly educated experts, otherwise failure might cause chemical fires, which may lead to catastrophic disasters

not travel read only one page." Saint Augustine of Hippo Travelling is very important in my life. By travelling I can learn other cultures and discover many extraordinary places. It does not matter how far I go I will always learn something new on my way. There are so many different countries and thousands of languages on planet Earth. Every nation has its own culture, which differs from others. When I have been to some exotic country I can understand the people better because I have seen their culture. Learning different cultures makes everything easier to understand. People who do not travel are missing most of the book, their mind is not so opened and they are unimaginative. They are stuck in their everyday routine. Everything that happens farther than their homeland is very strange for them. I feel sad about people who do not travel. On the onehand, there are some advantages with broading mass tourism. In the first place, mass tourism is great because it increases country's income. Moreover, authorities are forced to clean up polluted areas. For example, tourists prefer clean area against dirty and polluted place. Finally mass tourism can increase population of country. In fact, sometimes tourist can go back and start his life there. On the otherhand, unfortunately there are some negative aspects aswell. Firstly, with mass tourism comes pollution. For example, tourist throws carbage on the ground because there are no garbage cans around. Another bad aspect is that tourists disturb wildlife. Hordes of tourists can go to forest and scare wild animals. Last but not least, is that places are spoiled by over-development

Festivals and events dedicated to the consumption of beer are a lot of fun, but if you want to get the true feel of the country, you need something a little more ethnic. Like a town fair. Just as July becomes August, the seaside town of Haapsalu will host a grand spectacle of rural Estonian entertainment. The White Lady Days is a summer celebration filled with amusement for all the family. Held in and around the remains of the Teutonic-knights-era castles, the fair combines enchanting medieval legends with modern countryside charm to create a comprehensive experience of Estonia beyond the big cities.

Milestones in Estonian History The Estonians are a Finno-Ugric people who came from the area near the Urals and the Volga and Oka rivers. They migrated westward to the Baltic shores some 5, 000 years ago. In the ninth century A.D. Viking ships invaded Estonia and the country became a vital link in the sea-trade between East and West. By the 12th century, the Arabian geographer al-Idrisi had placed the city on his maps. In the 13th century, Tallinn joined the Hanseatic League, the union of European commercial towns that stretched from London to Novgorod. Pärnu, Viljandi and Tartu were also members. Estonia became a vital link in the sea-trade between East and West. The oldest preserved book written in Estonian, a catechism, dates from 1535. Tartu

secession from the Union even before Lincoln took office. The Union rejected secession, regarding it as rebellion. The war began in 1861 with the bombing at Fort Sumter in South Carolina. After 4 years of war, the South finally surrendered and the Confederate States of America was destroyed. Political system The U.S.A is a federation and a democracy. It is made up of 51 States. Each State has its own government and there is a Federal Government for the whole country. It is a democracy because the government leaders are elected by the people. For Americans, democracy means more than majority rule. It also means minority rights. The powers of the Federal Government are divided. The Congress writes the laws. The President carries out the laws and policies of the Government. The Supreme Court decides whether the laws themselves are legal or illegal. In the Federation, the citizens elect most of the Federal leaders as well as the State leaders

Firstly, I simply adore travelling and take every opportunity I can to visit different countries. My last trip took me to the Finland where I met a lot of interesting people. Secondly, there are some countries I am dreaming to visit some day in the future. I would really like to travel to Japan. I would love to visit a country which has very rich traditions and culture. There are very proud and generous people. I would like to see some festivals there and also visit some old castles and temples. Also Japan is known for its robots and technical gadgets. And of course I like to see citylights in the night and go shopping to big centres. Shibuya 109 is a mutli-storey shopping centre just for teenage girs. What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Tourism

This young branch of industry started developing in the second half of last century, when people had more money and sources than ever before. Importance of tourism to countries such as Egypt, Greece and Spain can not be questioned, as employment, service industry and opportunity to sell goods, is related to it. Tourism has also helped to build up certain regions, which otherwise would still be struggling in poverty. Futhermore, to make country desirable destination, governments have to keep crime rate under control, which makes life safer for locals as well. On the negative side, relentless waves of tourists increase our carbon footprint. Transportation increases pollution and creates gridlocks. Often big hotels consume unreasonably large amount of water, while locals are left in dry. And after all, tourist are not the ones who suffer from the effects, locals are. Tourism has its positive and negative sides
