Arts related entertainment should be free

to evaluate art. Also art educates people and enlarges their knowledge. But on the other hand, keeping and taking care of exhibitons have so many expenses like hiring skilled staff or paying electricity bills that it is impossible not to pay for visiting art galleries. In addition to that being a artist is a job like every another one too and needs to be paid. Finally, I think it it better to decrease the prices of art galleries to the lowest price so that anybody in society could afford it and enjoy arts. In this way more people would visit art exhibitions and educate themselves. In conclusion, in my opinion arts related entertainment should not be free, because all artists need to have an income and have to be paid. But visiting exhibitons should be as cheap as possible so more people would visit it and actually pay attention to art more than they do now.

How to avoid colds?

Healthy food, for example, is different fruits, vegetables and non-fat soups and fries. Also it's very important to drink herbal teas and eat different berries, like bilberries and cranberries. Sport is neccessary to stay active because it strenghtens the immune system and illnesses do not attack that fast. Sleeping less weakens the immune system as much as wrong dressing and unheathly eating together. That is why it is important to sleep every night about 8 hours. I am sure that if people could pay more attention to avoid colds, they would be more healthy.

Report to the shop manager

For example, reducing the price of a popural item by about 15 percent would really pay off. Also if a customer buys two same items, he gets the third one for free. This would certainly be profitable and I am confident that more people would visit your shop. Extra shop assistants: Lastly, I think that hiring an extra two or three shop assistants would be a very good idea too. Then customers would have to wait less to pay for their items and the shop could service a lot more customers than before. Bonuses for regular customers: Secondly, I think that regular customers who have been visting your shop for years, should get different bonuses. For example an even bigger discount for many products, a gift voucher or maybe sometimes getting the contents of their shopping cart for free. I think that would give the shop more customers. Conclusion To sum up, I believe that if you take some of the suggestions above into consideration, the

Mistake

I think that one of the biggest mistakes I have recently made was that I did not do any revision before going to the entrance examinations to get into Hugo Treffner’s high school. It all started in February after I had submitted my request to Hugo Treffner’s high school’s entrance examinations. I promised to myself that I will spend at least half an hour a day to revise all the things I had learned in primary school. I had always dreamed of studying there. During the first week I could almost keep my promise and spent the time I wanted to spend on revising, but after that I got very lazy and did not keep up with my revising at all. So time went by and I did not worry at all about the entrance exams until the day they were already there. The examination took place in room 204. It lasted for 3 hours and I spent every last second of it, because it proved to be very difficult. A month later I received a letter from the school. The letter stated that I hadn’t

Paper-based media will soon be replaced by online media

will be the alternative to today’s newspapers and magazines. I agree with this statement. First of all because this development would save customer’s money and I think we shouldn’t have to pay for our daily news. People who don’t want to pay for the newspaper are already checking the most important news online which are usually free. Another reason for this progress is that online newspapers have been made so easy to access. There were times when people could only get their newspapers by mail or from store, but now they just have to find Wi-Fi and use their gadget to be able to catch up with the latest news. In addition, even the most frequently published papers are only distributed once per day. This simply means that papers can’t compete with the Internet, because there we can see changes almost every hour. However, I can see why other people may think differently. The newspapers printed on paper

Is global climate change man-made or not?

Essay. Is global climate change (global warming) man-made or not? Over the last hundred years the Earth has been warming. This warming is believed to lead to many issues such as increasing of nature disasters, weather changes and draught. All of these consequences could become a reason of economic decay in many countries, especially in some undeveloped countries. Therefore it is very important to find out who is guilty of the climate changing. Many people are confident that the reason of global warming is man made carbon dioxide. Over the last hundred years our society has been developing very fast: there has been built a huge amount of different factories, has been made so many inventions in all fields of human activity. Unfortunately only recently we

Review Raamatust Dorian Gray

Form 11B This book tells the story of a beautiful young boy, called Dorian Gray, whose friend is an artist who paints a picture of him. Thanks to the artist, called Basil Hallward, Dorian meets with Lord Henry. Lord Henry tells him, that appearance and amusements are important in life and you shouldn't take anything seriously. Doria made a wish that he could be young forever like the picture of him. Dorian discovers that he's staying young and the picture of him is getting older. Thanks to aging picture and influence of Lord Herny, he's going to live vicious life. Lord Henry just wants to play with peolple and is interested in psychology, but in my point of view he isn't bad and he didn't now that he makes Dorian a bad man. The book contains lots of vicious side of life and how people don't realize what they are

A small adventure

A small adventure 12 October 2016 One summer evening about two years ago in June me and two of my friends Jane and Elisabeth were in a summer camp in Karepa. The weather was delightful: it was warm and there wasn't windy, so we decided to go and watch the sunset at the beach. Sadly we weren't allowed to go outside after 11 p.m. and it was already about 11.30 p.m., but we decided to go anyway. All three of us put on our darkest clothes so no one could see us. We sneaked out of our room and ran over a big hilly field into the dark forest. Unfortunately a strict teacher saw us and started coming towards us. We freaked out and started running through the forest. Luckily the teacher gave up looking for us very easily, but to my horror we had lost each other. I decided to run through the forest to the beach. The way was really short and the forest wasn't dense either, but I was still a bit scared, because I was alone. When I got to

He had to return the islands, but natives had change in their manner towards him and his crew. The natives attacked Cook. Some reasons, his armed mate didn't helped him. It made the stage look amateurish and cheap. If you haven't read the book yet, and if you get the chance, go see it. If nothing else, it still makes you acquainted to the legendary and well-known story of Oliver Twist. The play could have been a lot better but it was nevertheless enjoyable.

My future plans

understand that from that point starts a new period of my life. After the 9th form I am going to study further but where exactly, I can't say now. I am thinking about what to choose. In my opinion the most perfect choice for me would be studying abroad. I know it will be very useful and interesting experience for me. My dream is to visit Tallinn like a guest. But may be when I leave my town I will value it more than I did before. And could be that it is just popular today: dreaming about leaving your hometown and studying abroad. For today my plans are to study till 12th form and then enter the university. In future I will also improve my foreign languages. At the beginning of this summer I must pass my exams and only then I will enjoy my summer holidays. I would be very glad to visit some hot country this summer. As for my future job I wouldn't like to work for someone else, I would like myself to be employer; I would prefer to

Advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city

may have some noisy neighbors. Firstly, in a city there are lots of shops where you can buy everything you need. There are bigger grocery stores with bigger variety of products than in the countryside. Also there are many drapers. People who live in the countryside have to drive to the city when they want to buy clothes, but people who live in the city can buy clothes whenever they want. Secondly, in a city may happen that some very noisy people move next to you. They could disturb you and you may have to call to the police very often. It is very usual that people who live in a city can not get enough sleep, because their neighbors listens too loud music. Thirdly, in a city there is more stealing than in a country. People have to buy different kind of locks to protect their property. Also then you walk along the street you have to be very open-eyed, because of the pickpockets. They can steel your wallet and you do not notice anything.

My ideal mate

"My Ideal Mate" I could come up with a very long list of qualities and attributes that I would like for my ideal mate to possess. First of all, I would like for him to have a great personality and sense of humor. He should be kind, loyal, honest, loving, sincere, affectionate, and caring. He should also possess the qualities of maturity, integrity, and generosity. He must have good morals and values and be a non-smoker and non-drinker. I would like for my ideal man to be handsome and attractive in his appearance. He would need to be open to the ideas of commitment, marriage, and starting a family someday, because that is very important to me. My ideal mate would be a wonderful husband and father. He should be able to openly communicate his thoughts and feelings and share everything that is important to him with me. The truth pushes our world forward

The truth pushes our world forward 1. Truth has helped us to study and learn more about our world, not like religion and bible have done. Religion did not let science to evolve, but thanks to the sciences like Galileo Galilei science evolved because he was brave enough to say that earth is not the centre of the world. 2. Truth always comes out, Crusade wars began because of Turks conquered the holy lands and mistreated the Christians not because Christians wanted to increase their religion that happened later after the Crusade wars. 3. The Bible put humans to believe that we all are Childs of Adam and Eve but in fact humans evolved from apes and the truth helped the science to find the real origin of people. 4. Many people say that they have seen UFO-s but most of us do not believe them and the truth of alien existence may hid...

THE NEW “BAMBO” PUSHCHAIR

In the words of Mrs Roberta for example it is light and manageable, definitely better than her old pushchairs. Its good points are also that it is easy to steer, it has an attractive design and it fits in the boot of the car. A minority of people found mistakes from "Bambo". One complaint for example was that the wheel locking mechanism is too small to operate by foot. Recommendations. It is recommended that the wheel locking mechanism should be larger so it could be operated by foot and the opening hinge should be made easier to open/close. In the words of Mr and Mrs Osmonth it is a bit stiff to open and close. It is also advisable to increase the size of the wheels, because they appear to be too small and getting stuck in little holes. If you sum up the good and the bad points then there are certainly more good than bad. So on balance the new "Bambo" pushchair is really good considering the opinion of parents and kids like to go out in it.

Sometimes it is very funny to listen to his jokes during the break. He also has an artistic side. For example, some time ago, when we were practising our play ,,Highschool Musical", Robin played different roles. For all these reasons, I really like him. I wish I could see more of him, as we see each other mostly at school. However, we chat a lot at school and sometimes we are messaging. What I like most about him is that Robin is very humorous. I´m really glad that Robin is a good friend of mine. Allan Andronik 10B

Essay - The best things in life are free

On one hand, things like food, clothes and having a decent home to live in are quite essential to living a happy and normal life. These are basic needs that humans have, but none of those are free and they all cost money. But, for all that money is useful and good to have around, for all that it can buy, there are quite a few things that it can't buy. Money can't buy you thing like friends and family, love, health, knowledge and intelligence, and the list could go on and on. At the end of the day, these are the things that matter the most and this goes to show that the best things in life are really free. It's important to state that the saying can be either true or false, but it all depends on what a certain person thinks is best in life. For example, one may think that all you need for happiness is a brand new car, and the other values friendship, love and health more than anything. To sum up, I would like to say that while it's correct that

An event in my childhood

I can’t remeber why, but my brother for some reason leaned over the fence pole and looked into it. That’s when my brother got stung near to his eyes. He immediately yelled at me that he can’t see and wanted my help, there was nobody else outside at that moment. So I ran to him and helped him to the house. Where our parents took him over and called the ambulance. In my mind I saved his life because I was the only one who could have helped him to the house, that’s because we were the only ones outside. I’m really proud of what I did and without him my life would not have been the same.

The Godfather

The Godfather trilogy to this day is considered the best trilogy of its times. The saga carefully and intimately inspects the ups and downs and psychology of the Corleone family and the fears and insecurities that each character possesses and how they compel them to behave in the way they do. The movie was not only popular for its artwork, but also for its close relation to real life. There were many nuances at a primal level that most of us could relate to. Not only do we see glimpses of personal life but we also see how the Corleone mafia worked as an organization. The workings of the mafia closely endorse some of the age-old motivation theories. The Godfather is the story of a Mafia family. It follows the rise of Michael Corleone within the family. Michael was once a war hero and did not want to be involved in the family business. When his father is shot though, Michael takes revenge on the people who did it and

John Constable

John Constable 1776-1837 Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows Constable is famous for his landscapes, which are mostly of the Suffolk countryside, where he was born and lived. He made many open-air sketches, using these as a basis for his large exhibition paintings, which were worked up in the studio. His pictures are extremely popular today, but they were not particularly well received in England during his lifetime. He did, however, have considerable success in Paris. Sailsbury Cathedral from the Meadows was painted by John Consatble in 1831, one year after his wife's death. He later added nine lines from ,,The Seasons" by 18th Century poet James Thomson that reveal the painting's meaning: That the rainbow is a symbol of hope after a storm that follows on the death of the young Amelia in the arms of her lover Celadon. ...

Proposal report

The resident's committee has concluded that the new shopping center would be useful for people in our town as it would give them more choice in where to shop. Also, since there are no any decent sized shopping centers nor malls nearby, the new one would make people's lives easier since they would not have to drive as far out of the town as they are used to at the moment. Stores the shopping center should contain The shopping center should most importantly contain a big grocery store where people could buy their everyday food and drinks. Clothing stores would also be very useful as there are not many around this town. Lastly, we would propose electronics and free time stores and sporting goods stores for people to purchase various goods that suit their hobbies. Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down

The Moving Finger Agatha Christie The Moving Finger Agatha Christie Plot summary: Brother and sister Jerry and Joanna Burton bought a country house in an idyllic English town called Lymstock so that Jerry could recover from injuries received in a wartime plane crash. They had been living in London their whole life and thus were excited but intimidated to go. Lymstock was much like any other English village, no more than 300 people. Those that live there enjoy the peace of rural life and form a union to where it can be difficult for strangers to blend in. Fortunately, it wasn't much of a problem for Jerry and Joanna. They were just getting to know the town's strange members and their characters when an

The euro in Estonia

Estonian Daily Newspaper (Eesti Päevaleht). They had lots of articles about the euro to choose from, so I picked out the ones that were necessary or interesting to me. I also checked articles from the online version of Postimees, but lots of them are with an entertaining purpose. As the result of long search I actually did find a few useful articles from there too. TV-programmes didn't help me at all. The only one I could remember was Euro News, but this short clip, that was repeatedly shown, wasn't useful at all. Wikipedia is the site that has the best general info about almost anything a person might need. This, as well, is the place where I took my first information from. Also, a lot of information about the period of transition I got from the special site (europa.eu), which introduces the European Union, the euro and everything that relates to this topic.

I think that schools exams show the students' true abilities. Exams show that how educated we are. But sometimes some people can't make out with stress and nervousness. But it's still necessary. 4. “You can never go home again“ Lord of the flies

Kristel Sepp TIK IB 09.10.09 "You can never go home again" "Lord of the flies" The quote "You can never go home again" is related to "Lord of the flies" in both literal and metaphorical sense. Luckily most of the boys could go home in a literal sense but unfortunately some of them were dead by the time rescuers came to save them. When boys were left on the island alone the savages inside them started to appear and there were few quite good reasons for that. The experience on the island changed all of them and when they were finally rescued everyone went home as sort of different persons. In the beginning when boys had just discovered that they are alone in this paradise island they

apprentice. After a year he returned to Scotland and became a mathematical instrument maker. He also made musical instruments. He was asked to repair a small steam engine which was very primitive and used too much coal and a lot of steam was wasted. He found out that it was built on the wrong principle. It took him 2 years to put his theory into practice. He started making the new engine with a man called Baulton. James started improving his engine. His new machine could run machines and pump water out of the mines. It was used to drive wheels. But he didn't work only on his engine. He also made a copying machine. The unit of electric power was named " a watt " after him. He also discovered the composition of water. He lived up to the age of 83. A monument was erected to him in Westminster Abbey.

Symbolism in the Legend of King Arthur Johannes Kaldalu Mihkel Rätsep Severi Saar Rasmus Uusküla The Holy Grail · The Grail is a symbol of rebirth · Perhaps even reincarnation--the passage from life to death and beyond. The Holy Grail · The quest for the Grail represented the most important spiritual pursuit one could undertake because the Grail itself possessed holy significance · The Holy Grail possessed the ability to heal the sick and wounded, restore youth, and provide unlimited amounts of divine food. The Round Table · The table became the place where Arthur's Knights gathered, symbolizing equality, unity, and oneness. Legend says... · ... when the knights gathered, those who sat at the head of table were over the others. As time

Essee "Teenager and pocket money"

mowing the lawn. They have never paid me for such jobs and I think I would feel rather bad if they did. I have understood that I need these domestic jobs done as much as everybody else in my family. My mother doesn't get paid for feeding me, so why should I be better than her. I know a family where one of the children gets paid for simple domestic jobs and the other does not. It seems unfair to me. On the other hand, I find that getting paid for chores could be rather good motivator for younger kids. In the world full of computers and TVs we are getting lazier day by day. Children nowadays may need this motivating. If there were more difficult jobs, they would understand how hard it is to earn money and how precious it is when you have earned it. In conclusion, my opinion is that it is very individual, whether a person should earn his/her pocket money or not. Obviously, it can be very instructive. Children's parents should decide

Tourism

The fact that tourism is the main income of a country may one day become a huge problem. Besides that there is also another problem. Sometimes some people just act being a tourist. Their actual intention is to find a job and to stay as an illegal citizen. As we can see from reality there are more pros than cons. Otherwise there would be no multi- billion industry and tourism would not be so popular. There will always be so called risk- group countries where natural disaster could wipe out the main income, but we have to accept it as a natural part of our lives.

possibility to show us from the same side. School Activities In addition to these, we should mention the different activities that we have in our school. We should mention activities such as Playbox- a very successful dancing competition that we organize every year, Photocontest- a contest where it is possible for students use their creativity and express their feelings and thoughts through photographs, and all the other activities and projects that our school takes part in. We could also mention the SmartBoards that help teachers to make their lessons more interesting and where it is even possible to watch necessary movies referring to the subject. Conclusion To sum up, I believe that including some of the suggestions mentioned above, we will be able to create a very informative and interesting brochure. As a result, the public will have a very clear view of our school.

Favorite family member

Favourite family member My most favourite family member is my younger sister. I really can't choose anyone else because I spend the most time with her I could have chosen my little brother but he is too annoying. I like my sister the most because she knows me the best and she knows when to stay away from me when I need my space, but also when I need someone to talk to then I can just easily talk to her and I can trust her with my secrets. I know when I talk to her about some kind of problems she is always there for me and atleast tries to help me out even when there is nothing to help with

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia During my years being a student, I have noticed that there have been some changes in the Estonian educational system. Some of them are useful, some are not. Yet I think there are still many things that could use a change. I think, that one good change has been made related to the national exams, they have been improved a lot. This has assured an ongoing high level of education in Estonia. Our colleges' curriculums have also certified our college students' competitivity worldwide. I would like to bring out the education getting more and more creative as a positive change. I have noticed the use of active teaching methods and personal approach to the students.
