Traveling

visit different exotic places. There are also different reasons for travelling. Some travel to learn more about other cultures, learn about other countrys history.Others might travel just to have some fun and meet new people, visit friends and family or just for business. The most common ways to travel are by plane,by car,by train or by bus. Travelling has many positive sides. When people have traveled to a completely different country, then they can compare the life in their own country and the country they are visiting. It makes people see how they can enjoy their life more. Visiting other places also is very good for practicing other languages and communicating with people. Some people only travel to learn history of other regions. For some people, this is the main point for travelling, yet others try to experience the culture and visit as many sightseeings as possible

abilities. Differentiated, individualized instruction is based on the learning style of each child. Most science classes would take place outdoors. Children would be exposed to great literature, art, and music and encouraged to make their own relationships with these works. Children would have guidance in setting long-and short-term goals. Teachers would serve as mentors and facilitators, sharing their educational passions and helping children learn to help themselves. The children would be completely free to set up their own schedules. However, they would be held accountable for achieving their goals every week. There would be no grades until 7.class-there would be feedback from mentors and peers. Teachers would be in constant contact with one another. They would work together to implement cross curricular material and to provide continuity. They would be able to work together to follow a student through which ever path they have chosen (through different places).

So that eventually everyone would take trash personally. Secondly, When ever I turn on the television there are commercials after commercials. Everything is circling around profits these days. I would change that. I would not want to completely destroy money but to have it as an utility that everyone has. Moreover, people would take pride in producing earth friendly high quality items. Not because of money but because it brings them joy. Thirdly, children are forgetting to respect their parents. It is important to listen and love them when they are around. I would preserve and increase the love in a family. Also, I would make people love their friends and people around them a lot more . I

In the authors opinion the most dramatic inputs of oil result from accidents. Aniansson points out that such incidents cause widespread damage because wind and currents carry the oil away from the scene in a short term. Oil and oil products that are not completely insoluble in water cause serious damage to birds as the become oiled, making their plumage usless as thermal insulation and causing hypothermia which leads to death.

The Vikings

Others settled in new lands as farmers, craftsmen or traders. ships There were two distinct classes of Viking ships: the longship and the knarr. The longship is characterized as a graceful, long, narrow, light, wooden boat with a shallow draft hull designed for speed. Typically, a longship is narrower, longer, and shallower than a knarr, and is powered by oars. It is completely open and is built for speed and maneuverability. The knarr was a cargo ship, the hull was wider, deeper and shorter than a longship, and could take more cargo. It was primarily used to transport trading goods. weapons For Vikings, weapons were not only used for battle, but they were also used to show each individual's own wealth and social status. Stress in the life of young people

Stress in the life of young people We should acknowledge from the start that we all have stress in our lives and it's completely normal. The problem is that the age of people suffering from the stress is getting younger every year. We are all a little different and and also respond differently to situations that make us feel stressed. It is clear that there are many things that cause stress, especially when one is a teenager still trying to find his place in the world and finding out what to do with his life. The reasons may be upcoming

Simple and small ways affect the enviroment for the better

If you use renewable energy sources, you won’t cause burning fossil fuels, that causes pollution. Another way how to help the enviroment would be saving water. Turn off the water, when you’re not using it. People often leave water running, when they’re brushing teeth- turn if off between rinses! If you find a leak somewhere, fix it and in the meantime put a bowl orsm under the drip. Also you should conserve water. Take shorter showers, run your dishwasher only when it’s completely full and if possible reuse water. Also you can help the enviroment by recycling and conserving. Recycle all you can. There’s usually one trash can for bags, one for glass, one for cans, one for boxes, one for plastic and one for paper. Use them correctly. Anyway you should avoid using plastic- it never breaks down, and has led to the poisoning and death of numerous sea creatures. Don’t use plastic bags, use reusable fabric bags instead. Don’t waste food, use up your leftovers

Teacher heard my rude comment, so the whole next month I was under her picky pressure never am I now to repeat my mistake again and say something out loud without ever considering it first. However, I still just can't be mad at my teacher she's such a wonderful person! And her lovely way of laughing... Maybe I'm a teacher's pet I don't deny it, at least completely. We do have fun with her, but I guess I am a bit more excited than the others about her reaction when I say something funny or stupid. Once she fell ill now really, my mood fell as well, for the next two weeks. I guess I'm attached to her and caring in a way, but I really hope that one day we can be really good friends. I just hope that the day will come after all, my English is good and she seems to like my jokes, too.

characters more realistic rather than adorned. Even though the themes and topics discussed in the novel make it rather relatable, I believe they also make it unsuitable for youngsters who have just reached adolescence. In addition to the frequent use of profanity, the at times strongly depressive, violent or sexual tone of the novel, alongside with the difficulty of the problems addressed and discussed, make it overly difficult for the youngsters to completely understand, thus possibly leaving a wrong impression of the reasons for those situations and actions. To my mind, this novel is meant for the youngsters nearing adulthood, as their thinking is more critical, making the themes of the novel more understandable. On the whole, despite not being the most suitable for the youngest of readers, I find that the novel is a great insight into the mind of a troubled youngster attempting to find their place in life,

with an ice sheet. Advances and retreats of ice in the northern hemisphere during the past 500,000 years can be accounted for by changes in the warmth from the Sun. This was caused by alterations in the Earth's orbit at periods of 96,000, 40,000 and 20,000 years. Although that theory is widely accepted as a possible explanation for ice ages, it has not been proved. More than 50 theories have been put forward, but only a few have not been completely dismissed. Not long ago a new theory was published in the science journal "Nature". According to Dr. Garry Hunt, of University College, intense radiations from the nuclear explosion of a nearby supernova a star could cause the destruction of part or all of the ozone layer and in this way trigger an ice age. As for me, I like autumn best of all. The trees are covered with yellow and red leaves. Colors of

Life in town vs Life in the country

it has its own negative sides like: unemployment, establishment will be closed, distress services are hardly available. Usually people prefer to live in the Town, because in the Country don't have job or it is dfficult to find it. Many schools, post offices and store will be closed, because there aren't enough people who will need it. If in the Country should be happen any emergency, it will takes time to deal the situation, which put people to worry. Life in Town is completely different. For example : huge shopping centres, better chance to get a job and crime. Huge shopping centres locate in Town, because population is bigger than in the Country. In Town there are lot of opportunities to get a job, unlike in the Country. Violence and crime is popular in Town, although in the Country it is possible too. Population of Town is so much bigger, that's why we can see broken bus-stops, defiled shcools and so on.

This beach was really pretty. There was a path to walk on small cliffs. We looked the pretty sea and enjoyed walking. There was a place where our foot were in a low water. There were many rocks and I didn't see in front of me because of the things I had to carry. Suddenly my leg got stuck and I fell completely in the water. I was soaking wet but my aunt couldn't stop laughing. I was sad and offended but I thought how funny it must have been. Luckily the weather was warm and I didn't feel cold. By this time we had had enough and went into our small car. It was the best holiday I've ever had !

Something out of nothing

The way I see it, God makes all the rules and you can't really argue with him, because he's God. He can do what he wants, that's just the way it is. In my opinion humans want to feel as powerful as God. It makes us feel better about ourselves, if we can make our own rules from time to time. Let's say, that a musician is writing a song. He makes something out of nothing and he can't help it, he loves the idea of being almighty. Because let's face it, to that song, the writer is God. It is completely up to to the writer to say what's wrong and what's right. He can make up the lyrics and he can compose the melody and noone can tell him, what he should do, or how it should be done. He's making something entirely new out of nothing, so there are no rules and one can only use it's imagination to make it work. On the other hand, many people are just too lazy to make anything new. They just use things that are already there and don't even

team. This was followed by the huge success of Blackadder and its sequels which propelled Atkinson to star status. He then went on to create Mr Bean. A walking disaster, Bean was purely physical comedy, the opposite of Edmund Blackadder's polished dialogue. This clumsy character was a huge success and became another national treasure. Atkinson's other characters rely more heavily on language. Atkinson often plays authority figures, especially priests or vicars, speaking absurd lines with a completely deadpan delivery. One of his better-known comic devices is over-articulation of the "B" sound, such as his pronunciation of "Bob" in the Blackadder II episode "Bells". Atkinson suffers from a stammer, and the over-articulation is a technique to overcome problematic consonants. Atkinson's often visually based style, which has been compared to Buster Keaton, sets him apart from most modern television and film comics, who rely heavily on dialogue, as

Comparison of diesel and petrol engine

The main difference between a gasoline engine and a diesel engine is the fuel used. The main difference between these fuels is the combustion ratio at which each will explode. Gasoline does not self-ignite when compressed, because it does not generate enough heat. It needs activation energy to explode, and this energy is generated by a spark plug at the top of the cylinder. Diesel on the other hand, does not require a spark plug to ignite it because it generates enough heat when it is completely compressed to ignite itself and cause explosion. . Diesel engines have a much higher compression pressure than gasoline engines. The higher compression pressure in diesels explains the difference in the methods of ignition used in gasoline and diesel engines. Advantages and disadvantages of gasoline and diesel engines The question then is, which engine is "better". By better I mean more efficient, powerful, and faster

''How much does life weigh?''

With knowing how few it actually weights, we can only assume what we have in these grams and whether it is anything worth at all. First of all, what do we claim to be a soul? It is our conscience with no form or location. It is the energy that is a part of the whole universe. In consideration of this, every human being has their own soul. This is what makes us all different and unique. Because of this, how can we even question the weight of our lives, when it seems to be completely different for everyone? Well, let's think about the moment of death. It is the exact moment, where our energy leaves our bodies. It has been scientifically proven that at this moment, every human being loses weight - 21 grams on average. Then comes the question that cannot be proven whether this loss is our souls or not. The movie ''21 grams'' brings up a subject that everything we are weights only 21 grams. It is a weight of a chocolate bar, a hummingbird. Still, without these

plan genetic engineering is very favorable. First of all, terms of creating of a new sort are reduced to a minimum, and it means that time and money, which are usually left for selection works, are saved. Secondly, genetically modified products are steady against insects and do not need toxic chemicals and productivity of genetically modified organisms is much higher, than of the usual organisms. On the other hand, geneticists recognize that intervention in a genome of live organisms can not completely be safe. In organisms are happening mutagen changes which can have strong negative impact on the human and it can be badly reflected on the human's health. Introduction in a human diet of mutagen food can lead to distribution of new pathogenic bacteria and also to increase the number of people who are suffering from food allergies. Some grades of transgene plants perniciously affect wrecker organisms and, as a result, they affect helpful organisms too. The

My uncle Tom is the oldest and he is a typical violent parent. He always tries to force my cousins to be more ambitious and he gets wound up, when they don’t get picked into the sportsteam or the school play. And then there is my uncle James. He is a complete opposite. He is a artteacher and he is completely carefree. He never rebukes with his children and he is always relaxed. He wants that everyone discovers their creative side and engages painting or ’’skulptuur’’ or something. Uncle Paul is average and he is very funny. He always tells stories. But he can be a little stubborn and he doesn’t do anything, that he doesn’t want to do. And then there is my mom. Gay rights

Gay rights According to an opinion widely held, homosexuality is said to be freer today than ever before. It is present and visible everywhere: in the street, in the newspapers, on television, at the movies. It is even supposedly completely accepted, judging by the recent legislative advances made in many countries for the recognition of same sex couples. Certainly, some work remains necessary in order to eradicate the last vestiges of discrimination. But with changing public opinion, it will only be, according to some people, a matter of time, the time needed for a movement begun many decades earlier to achieve its goals. To tell the truth, the 20th century has undoubtedly been the most violently homophobic

How to write a manual

How to Write a Manual Know the material--and the product--inside out. Make certain you understand the procedure completely--from both a practical and a theoretical standpoint. Ensure that you can successfully carry out the process you'll be describing by going through the necessary steps yourself repeatedly until you are convinced that you know how to complete them properly and explain them clearly. 2 Assume that your reader knows nothing at all about the process you'll be describing when you write your manual. This will remind you to take nothing for granted as you explain how to complete the procedure and will prevent you from leaving gaps in your explanation that your reader will find frustrating. 3 Use diagrams to clarify information that would be difficult to convey accurately in words. Also use them for information that is so complex as to be confusing to the reader without a visual representati...

Topic - Libraries

experts in matters related to finding and organizing information, called librarians. 2. History The first libraries were only partly libraries, being composed for the most part of unpublished records which are usually viewed as archives, not libraries. Findings from the citystates of Sumer have revealsed temple rooms full of clay tablets. Those archives were made up almost completely of the records of commercial transactions or inventories with only a few documents touching historical records or legends. Things were pretty same in temple records on papyrus in Ancient Egypt. The earliest discovered private archives were kept at Ugarit (which is located in today's Syria). Besides inventories, texts of myths may have been standardized for teaching new scribes. Private or personal libraries made up of nonfiction and fiction

 Workers can usually jump from job to job fairly easily, but they typically don't receive a substantial pay increase.  As China moved toward a market economy, cheap rural labor became integral to the country's growth.  Migrant workers became unable to access state benefits or protection, despite Chinese laws promising "equal rights” for all.  They became outcasts in the eyes of their government.  That's approximately 150 million migrant workers who are completely unprotected.  They endure poor working conditions such as excessive and forced overtime, yet they don't even have basic social security benefits or employment contracts.  Despite the terrible working conditions, workers are optimistic that they will be able to gain new skills and create a better life.

Thesis Statement The Sorrows on Young Werther

Tähe-Kai Tillo XI a Thesis Statement(NEW) ,,The Sorrows of Young Werther" The main character Werther was selfish and with low self-esteem. His selfishness can be seen in two turning-points of the book, when Werther leaves Wahlheim and when he commits suicide. From his point of view these are the only solutions but he is not thinking about Lotte. Although she denies it Werther was much loved by her, he just did not try hard enough to win over her heart. Werther believes that the only way to end his sorrows is to commit suicide but he doesn't have enough positivity to keep on fighting for the love of his life. "Sometimes I don't understand how another can love her, is allowed to love her, since I love her so completely myself, so intensely, so fully, ...

The Goblin

He had so much money that he decided to go to the casino and as a result he lost it. The Goblin strangles his master and sets his farm on fire. In the end, the Goblin dies, too. But the positive thing is that the love story of two young people stays alive and they are happy together. "The Goblin" was an outstanding performance. All the dancers had excellent dancing skills and emotionally strong influence, the decorations and costumes were great. Moreover, the breathtaking music was based completely on the Estonian folclore and helped to imagine all the dancers' emotions. It was a contemporary ballet, that included elements of classical ballet and modern dance. It does not have fixed rules and because of that it is easier to show real feelings and emotions. It was also quite extraordinary and interesting, that in one scene there took part the National female chorus. ,,The Goblin" makes you think what is really inmportant in life and what makes people happy.

She is leaving her mother and stepfather's home in Phoenix, Arizona to live with her father in Forks, Washington. She feels she needs to give her mother, Renee, space to be with her new husband, Phil, who is a minor league baseball ballplayer. She's apprehensive about moving in with her dad, Charlie, who is the town's sheriff. Up until now, they have only ever spent parts of summers together. Bella hasn't been to Forks in three years. Forks couldn't be more different than sunny, metropolitan Phoenix if it tried. The weather is cool, overcast, and clammy most days. Forks High School, where Bella is to start school the following day only has 358 students including Bella. Charlie picks Bella up at the Port Angles airport. If you are not in facebook, you don't exist

But it was only a matter of time before large numbers fell like prey to the lures of a 24/7 social network with so many wonderful things to offer -a home among friends and shared applications like games, quizzes, personality-type "tests", awards and gifts, not to mention sharing laughs and creative feedback via photos, videos and more. I know that we live in a digital age, but maybe this new fancy disorder is a bit over a notch. All in all, I think that it's completely normal to have an account in Facebook, but we should keep some boundaries in case we don't want to mix up our virtual life with the real one. Sure I can communicate with my friends easily via Facebook chat, but seeing eye-to-eye is way better. And I don't mean that instead of chatting online we should chat via videocall- no no! We shouldn't spend our short and precious life wandering around in the dephtless expanses of the Internet because reality is so much better!

Harmful effects on the eye caused by smart devices

One of the reasons why smart devices have harmful effect on the eyes is the blue light that they radiate. Blue light has damaging effect on the eye because it refracts in front of the retina. This forces the eye to focus constantly and as a result, the eye gets tired quickly. Blue light can cause different eye diseases. One of the diseases is „Dry eye syndrome“. Dry eye syndrome is a collection of symptoms which are caused by a lack of or low quality of the tear fluid. This can not be completely cured but it can be prevented by resting the eyes after every half an hour when using smart devices. Another disease which can be caused by the blue light radiation is Macular Degeneration Disease. Macula is located in retina and the image that is focused on the retina is the sharpest in macula. This is the reason why macula can not be damaged at all to have a correct visual acuity. Blue light damages the light-sensitive cells in retina. Macular degeneration disease

St. Charles Church (Kaarli kirik)

This time the church was built of hewn limestone blocks, in the historical neo- Roman style, on the basic plan on a Latin cross. The inside of the church is exceptionally large and open, the ceiling being supported by a special arch supporting system and the sides characterized with arched windows. The benches inside can fit a total of 1500 people. When the first service was held there, exactly 200 years after the consecration of the first wooden church, the reconstruction was not completely finished – missing were the steeples and the altar painting, as well as the proposed figures in the wall niches that actually haven’t appeared to this day. The most valuable and significant feature of Charles church is the large fresco decorating the apse. It portrays Christ calling out to people, ’’Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’’ written above. It is known to be the first fresco in Estonia made by an ethnic Estonian, Johann Köler,

The hole technological chain from production to flue gas cleaning is brought to reader ´s. Also the energy policy and reguierment for users is shown. Properties of boifuels and peat In the boiler plants of Baltic Sea countries a wide range of various woodbased fuels are burned. To some extent also straw and other biomass based fuels are used. All these fuels are considered as renewables and according to the international agreement the CO2 emitted by the combustion of these fuels is not listed as a greenhouse gas. Wood, in particular the shell of wood cells, consists mainly from cellulose, lignin and hemicellulose. Due to the high carbon and hydrogen content, the lignin has higher calorific value than cellu...
