State or public education In Estonia the most of children attend state schools. However, in the last ten years the number of private schools has increased. What are the main differences between private and state secondary schools? Firstly, private schools are not free and parents ought to pay for their children is learning in a public school. But state schools are free and parents do not have to pay for education. Secondly, private schools are more strict than state schools. Another vital aspect is that public schools have a more strict evaluation system and there is a lot of homework. However when we compare state and public schools then it is seen that the results of examinations for students of private schools are higher than in state schools.

What would i change if i were minister of education. Many people think that our school system is out of date and we should make it more modern. Even teachers and students say that some changes need to be made. Maybe our government should consultate more with poeple who know the real situtation, when they create new laws. If I were minister of education I would deffenetly prefere American educational system to Russian. Our children should do more practical exercises in school and develop creative thinking. In addition to that I would give more money to our schools and raise also teatchers salary. This would boost up their motivation to give quality education to our children. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Physical education has long been a staple in schools on a K-12 level and beyond, with all students required to participate in some form of physical education. Should teenagers nowadays earn their pocket money. Many children earn their pocket money by doing some jobs at home, but lots of them do not need to work for it. I think that it depends on the specific children whether his/her parents should pay him/her. My parents do not give me money for bringing firewood or mowing the lawn. They have never paid me for such jobs and I think I would feel rather bad if they did. I have understood that I need these domestic jobs done as much as everybody else in my family. My mother doesn't get paid for feeding me, so why should I be better than her. I know a family where one of the children gets paid for simple domestic jobs and the other does not
There definately is not a certain perfect solution. Firts problem in current education system coul be that students are put into a „box“. Everyone gets graded by a certain standard, if you can not reach that line, then yo have failed. This is the fairest way, at least in concept. But not all the people have same abilities and strengths. Education should be more personal, focusin on a certain students talents and strengths and trying to develope those, so that the children could reach their full- potential and would always be encouraged to follow their heart in life. Secondly, there should be more practical learning. Practical learning is much more sufficient and also more fun. Learning can be fun, but children do not know it. Education system shuld find a way to show the fun in learning so children would grow up to be curious people, who are interested in new things and evolving. Practical learning could be a solution for this problem.

How can the issue of intolerance be addressed by the government? Intolerance in society is actually the intolerance of it’s individual members. Intolerance is rooted in fear and ignorance. People are afraid of the unknown, it is natural. But it can only grow, if it gets encouragement, either from parents, who are also ingorant or school, who just do not teach children any better. And fighting intolerance requires Law. Intolerance can be fought with education. Tolerance can be teached at an early age only, later it is difficult change a person’s values. And if intolerance starts with the fear of the unknow, education can help. Government should emphasise education more and more. Children should learn about tolerance and human rights and about other ways of life. School should teach children to always be open-minded.

What Makes a Good Teacher As everybody knows, being a teacher requires different qualities that many people do not have. I reckon it all comes down to the circumstance whether the teacher loves her job or does she do it just for the salary. If she only does it for money, the children will not take her seriously. She should also have a vast knowledge of her subject. Otherwise, it is really difficult for the attentive and eager pupils to get answers to their questions.Another important quality is humour. I believe that helps to make picking up knowledge much easier and more fun. Children always prefer teachers with a good sense of humour. When I made a list of the pluses and minuses I found that the electronic devices are a very bad idea. The advantages are that children can easily find information and lessons are more interesting.
