CRITISIM ABOUT IMF AND WORLD BANK

Liberalism is one of the oldest theories and it contrasts to realism that has rather pessimistic approach not like liberalism that tries to be optimistic. The theory emerged to show the futility of war and the idea of creating a better future. You can find four types of liberalism (Jackson, 2010) but in this essay we are foucused more on institutional liberalism whereby the role of international institutions lies in transnational cooperation. Liberalists belive that international relations are based on collaborative work. Liberalism also belives that humans are naturally good. This theory is mostly influenced by Locke, Bentham and Kant (Jackson, 2010). Liberals want to remove the influence of the state in commercial relations between businesses and individuals, and the decline of national economic sovereignty is an indication that the corrupting influence of the state is rapidly diminishing (Burchill, 2005, lk 82). English Parliament

Mikk Hödemann 12.d klass English Parliament What can I say about the English history at all? I think that this is the most interesting history I had to study. During this subject (British civilization), I discovered some exciting facts, occasions which took place in the British history. One of these "discoveries" was the English Parliament. I was amazed how fast it grew within the centuries, from eleventh to seventeenth centuries. The political history of British Isles over the past 800 years has been largely one of reducing the power of the monarchy and transferring authority to a London-based Parliament as the sovereign legislative body for all of Britain. This development has resulted in political, social and religious conflicts, as well as evolving governmental and constitutional institutions. The early political history of the British Isles is the story of four independent cou...

You are what you read

On the other hand I think that the topic should be You read what you are, beacause you choose what you want to read. Let's take the same UFO example. If you are a realist, then you'd choose a book that says that they aren't real, but if you're someone who likes fiction then you'll probably choose a book that says they are real. And so it seems that you decide what you want to believe and be, based on what kind of a person are you. I believe, that I am someone, who likes to read both sides of a story and then decide whitch one seems more plausible. All in all I have to say, that all about reading depends on what kind of a person you are. So noone can tell you what you have to read or believe. Thank you for listening.

To like and dislike the same things, that is indeed true friendship

"To like and dislike the same things, that is indeed true friendship" Friendship is based on many things. You have to have trust, respect, humour and many other things with the person so he or she could become a good friend. But maybe one of the most important things is to have something in common. When I think about my best friends then I can really see how much we have in common. We very often think the same about life, things and people. We share very many viewpoints and agree on so many things. There is always something to talk about and fun never ends

Animal Experimentation

Animal Experimentation Based on the Constitution of Estionia, we are all born with equal rights. However, mankind denys that animals share these rights. Animals are just as entitled to the rights of living, avoiding pain as humans are. Nonetheless, we still abuse them, often even without a second thought. Despite the wide use of animal testing, the research gained from it is not helpful to mankind. The chemicals and medicines tested on animals reacts differently on every species.

Depending on the type of stream visited and the field chemistry and habitat measurements taken, biologists have certain expectations of what type of species they should expect to find. Windows 9x Windows 95 – ME were the best operating systems around that time. They were still MS-DOS based. Windows 95 added support for 32-bit applications, plug and play, preemptive multitasking and more. Biggest thing in Windows 95 was the start menu, which was not available. Windows 95 was really buggy and slow, so Microsoft released Windows 98, which was not so different from Windows 95. Windows 98 fixed all of those issues. My first computer had Windows 95 on it. Apologies

In the words of the Canadian cartoonist Lynn Johnston "An apology is the superglue of life-it can repair just about anything". However a recent survey suggests that in Britain the word ,,sorry" is being used in various situations where it doesn't have the traditional purpose of expressing regret for something a person has said or done. Arguably, the word is now being overused and might even be in danger of losing its meaning. Based on a sample of 1,100 people, the survey produced the statistic that the average British person will say sorry almost 2 million times in his or her lifetime. It found that on many occasions people use the word ,,sorry" to tell others that they don't have time to say or do something that was said (,,Sorry what was that?") or for( ,,exuse me") when they want to get someone's attention(,,Sorry, have you got the time?")

Estonian culture

g.: Everyman's right and universal suffrage), and the ideals of closeness to nature and self-sufficiency. Estonian culture developed in earnest during the nineteenth-century period of national awakening. Elements of Estonian peasant culture, such as songs and folktales, were brought together by the country's first cultural elite after 1850. Between 1857 and 1861, Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald compiled and published the Estonian national epic, Kalevipoeg (Son of Kalev), which was based on various folklore themes. Written in verse, the epic tells the story of Kalevipoeg, the mythical ancient ruler of Estonia. Another achievement of this period was the establishment of Estonia's first regularly published Estonian-language newspaper, Perno Postimees , originally published in Pärnu by Johann Voldemar Jannsen in 1857. In 1878 Carl Robert Jakobson established the newspaper Sakala , which would soon become a major promoter of the cultural renaissance

Golf

A golf course consists of a series of holes, each with a teeing ground that is set off by two markers showing the bounds of the legal tee area, fairway, rough and other hazards, and the putting green surrounded by the fringe with the pin (normally a flagstick) and cup. A typical golf course consists of 18 holes, but nine-hole courses are common and can be played twice through for a full round of 18 holes. Every round of golf is based on playing a number of holes in a given order. A 'round' typically consists of 18 holes that are played in the order determined by the course layout. On a nine- hole course, a standard round consists of two consecutive nine-hole rounds. Golf clubs are used to hit the golf ball. Each club is composed of a shaft with a lance (or 'grip') on the top end and a club head on the bottom. Long clubs, which have a lower amount

Wind energy vs oil shale

To: Environmental protection agency From: Subject: Wind power versus oil shale Date: September 22 Wind power vs oil shale Introduction The purpose of this report is to analyse if wind power is better than power which is produced from oil shale. The report is based on EWPA (Estonian Wind Power Association) article which is published on their web page. Wind power It is said that the wind power is the most expensive source of power, but this statement is not plausible, because the recourse -wind- is for free. Calculations have shown that if new oil shale blocks were built, it would cost 3473 million EEK in a year per capita. On the other hand, if wind power were renewed in similar amount, it would cost only 868 million EEK per capita in a year

Argumentative presentation: Estonia does need a nuclear power station

Argumentative presentation: Estonia does need a nuclear power station Good evening. My name is Margus and I will be talking to you about why does Estonia needs a nuclear power station. My talk consists of 3 parts: the current situation, renewables and how can nuclear power save Estonia from an energy crisis. My talk will last for 2-3 minutes and questions can be asked at the end. Power consumption is increasing exponentially in all civilised countries. Estonia's coal based power generation is becoming obsolete in the near future. The question arises : "Where will the future generations get the energy that they need?". First of all, in the current year, the power consumption reached the highest of all tomes in February. Most of the energy shortage was covered by energy brought from Lithuania. Energy was produced there from gas imported from Russia. That is not a reliable source of energy that can scale. In add...

Based on today's knowledge, physical activity is essential for young people to achieve optimal growth and physical development, to prevent some health problems, as well as to social and mental development. Children who are inactive and who spend too much time in front of a screen watching television, playing computer video games or talking or typing on their phones have an increased risk of heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes.
