-Esimesed tuntud nimed jazz-muusikas on pärit New Orleanist. -New Orleansi jazzi harrastasid eranditult neegrid! - Sellele perioodile on omane: pillimehed ei tundnud nooti, mängisid peast, koosseisud olid väikesed (6-7 liiget). -Ansamblisse kuulusid meloodiapillid: trompet, klarnet, tromboon. Rütmipillid: tuuba/kontrabass, bandzo/kitarr ja löökpillid. -Trompetil oli meloodiainstrumentidest juhtroll. -Tuntumad New Orleansi stiili esindajad: King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band Louis Armstrong (trompetist ja laulja) Dixieland-stiil (USA lõunaosariikide nimetus). The issue is that David is a musician who plays his electric guitar very late night. I understand he is in a band and needs to practice but I think he can not do this in apartment. I work in home, so for me, it is important to have silence so I can concentrate on my work. But when David is playing all the time it is unable to get any of my works done, except when he is out. Woodstocki muusika & kunsti laadal (Woodstock Music & Art Fair), kus osales erinevatel andmetel pool kuni neli miljonit (!!!) inimest, liitus Jimi Hendrix ansamliga Gypsy Sun & Rainbows, kus musitseerisid koos Jimiga veel , Mitch Mitchell, Billy Cox, 1 Juma Sultan ja Jerry Velez. Woodstocki ülesastumise kõrghetk oli laul "Star Spangled Banner", mis ajas tuhanded mudased inimesed lausa meeletuks. 1969.aasta oli eriline ka uue bändi, The Band Of Gypsys, loomise poolest, kus koostööd tegid Jimi Hendrix kitarril, bassist Billy Cox ja Trummar Buddy Miles, kes enne oli trumme tagunud ansamblis Electric Flag. See trio alustas esinemist neljal uusaastakontserdil.
