Muusika retsensioon Gregorian

RETSENSIOON Gregorian "Master of Chant, 10th Anniversary Tour" Kontsert mida vaatamas käisin, oli Gregoriani "Master of Chant, 10th Anniversary Tour". See toimus 9. novembril 2009 kell 20:00 Nokia Kontserdimajas. Gregorian on Saksamaalt pärit bänd, mis on maailmas ainulaadne. See ühendab kirikliku gregoriaani laulustiili tuntuimate tänapäeva muusika hittidega. Maailmatuuriga "Master of Chant, 10th Anniversary Tour" oma kümnendat edukat tegevusaastat tähistav Gregorian esitas koori ja livebändiga kõigile tuntud tänapäeva muusika tipplugusi. Nii tuli kontserdil esitlusele Genesise, Elton Johni, Sarah Brightmani ja paljude teiste tippartistide lood gregoriaani stiilis. Müstilise sakraal ja popmuusika sulandumise tulemusel tekkis üks originaalsemaid helipilte tänapäeva muusikamaailmas. Olin sellest juba enne palju head kuulnud

Monument to the Conquerors of Space!

extraordinary monument housing a full museum in the mound beneath. It is all clad in shiny stainless steel. In March 1958, a few months after the launch of Sputnik 1, a competition was announced for the best design of an obelisk celebrating the dawn of the Space Age. Out of some 350 proposals, the design by sculptor A.P. Faidysh-Krandievsky and architects A.N. Kolchin and M.O. Barshch was chosen. The grand opening of the monument took place on October 4, 1964, on the day of the 7th anniversary of the Sputnik 1 launch. Since the 1960s, this part of Moscow in general has had a high concentration of space- themed sights and names: besides the monument and the museum under it, the grand "Cosmos" pavilion in the Exhibition Centre displayed many artifacts of the Soviet space program. Many streets in the area have been named after the precursors of the space program (Nikolai Kibalchich, Friedrich Zander, Yuri Kondratyuk) and its participants (Sergey Korolyov).

The History of Flag Day

The History Of Flag Day The Fourth of July was traditionally celebrated as America's birthday, but the idea of an annual day specifically celebrating the Flag is believed to have first originated in 1885. BJ Cigrand, a schoolteacher, arranged for the pupils in the Fredonia, Wisconsin Public School, District 6, to observe June 14 (the 108th anniversary of the official adoption of The Stars and Stripes) as 'Flag Birthday'. In numerous magazines and newspaper articles and public addresses over the following years, Cigrand continued to enthusiastically advocate the observance of June 14 as 'Flag Birthday', or 'Flag Day'. On June 14, 1889, George Balch, a kindergarten teacher in New York City, planned appropriate ceremonies for the children of his school, and his idea of observing Flag Day

Burns suppers are most common in Scotland (and also in Russia, where nationally televised Burns nights are held in the Kremlin). Wherever there are Burns clubs, expatriate Scots, or indeed lovers of Burns' poetry the celebrations take place. The first suppers were held in Ayrshire at the end of the 18th century by his friends on the anniversary of his death, July 21, In Memoriam and, although the date has changed to the 25th of January since then, they have been a regular occurrence ever since. The traditional Burns supper menu consists of cockaleekie soup (or Scotch broth) and haggis with "tatties and neeps" (potatoes and rutabagas), Tipsy Laird (sherry trifle) followed by oatcakes and cheese, all washed down with "water of life" Scotch whisky.)

The combination of original design, interesting shaped stonework, and vibrant colors in Gaudi's work give the viewer a truly breathtaking visual experience. La Sagrada Familia is one of Gaudi's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant temple that has been under construction since 1882. The building works are expected to be completed around 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death. It is a truly magnificent building and an absolute must-see when you visit Barcelona. Widely known for Flamenco music and dance, bull-fights, fantastic beaches and lots of sunshine, Spain offers much more than that. There are so many different attitude and character traits that might even seem a little offensive to people from other cultures. But, this is who they are and this is exactly how they are. communities around the world. Every year, the US Secretary of State sent greetings on the occasion to the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the United States, Ernst Jaakson. On February 24, 1989, the red flag of Soviet Estonia was replaced by the blue-black-white Estonian national flag on Toompea and since that time the Independence Day has been celebrated as a public holiday again. This year Estonia will celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the declaration of the state independence. A Quest for Independence For centuries, the Estonian people dreamed of establishing a state free of foreign domination. The 1917 revolution and the generally unstable situation in Russia created the opportunity for Estonia to gain its independence. The impetus for independence was provided by the National Front, Estonia's main ideological movement, which based its ideas on US President Woodrow Wilson's principle of self-determination.

The Little Prince

It is now the narrator's eighth day in the desert, and at the prince's suggestion, they set off to find a well. The water feeds their hearts as much as their bodies, and the two share a moment of bliss as they agree that too many people do not see what is truly important in life. The little prince's mind, however, is fixed on returning to his rose, and he begins making plans with the snake to head back to his planet. The narrator is able to fix his plane on the day before the one-year anniversary of the prince's arrival on Earth, and he walks sadly with his friend out to the place the prince landed. The snake bites the prince, who falls noiselessly to the sand. The narrator takes comfort when he cannot find the prince's body the next day and is confident that the prince has returned to his asteroid. The narrator is also comforted by the stars, in which he now hears the tinkling of his friend's laughter. Often, however, he grows sad and wonders if the sheep he drew has eaten

Australian traditions

Australia doesn't have many traditions. Attempts to get Halloween off the ground have stalled due to one too many homeowners telling little kids to get off their property or they will see a scary sight. Australia celebrates many of the same holidays as do people of the Western world, such as Easter and Christmas. However, Australians also celebrate some holidays unique to their country and culture. Australia Day Australia Day, 26 January, is the anniversary of the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain, and the raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove by its commander Captain Arthur Phillip, in 1788. On Australia Day, over half of the nation's population of 21 million attend either an organised community event, or get together with family and friends with the intention of celebrating our national day. It is celebrated with parties, picnics, and fireworks and coincides with the last days of summer vacations.

of Song Festival. · During 1879 1910 six Song Festivals were held that played an important part in the nation's cultural and economical awakening and growth. In the independent Estonian Republic the Song Festivals were held in every five years (1923 1938). After World War II, the Song Festival tradition began again in 1947. Since 1950 General Song Festivals were held in every five years again. 1969 was an exception though when 100th anniversary of the Song Festival was celebrated. · The foreign authorities have tried to use the Song Festivals in their own interests. During the reign of the Russian czar the Estonians were forced to hold Song Festivals in order to thank the czar, and the Soviet regime always tied the Song Festival to the "red holidays". · In 1988, with the Song Festival as a role model, began the so called "singing revolution" when hundreds of

The Hotel Adlon, which overlooks the Brandenburg Gate from the eastern side, was already Berlin's most famous hotel way back before World War II. It was naerly bomb-proof, and known as the place where foreign dignitaries and celebrities would stay whenever they visited town. In fact, I happened to be walking by its front entrance in 1999 when I saw a commotion that included Mikhail Gorbachev, George HW Bush and Helmut Kohl emerge from cars for a celebration there commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
