It is influenced by the depth contours around a coast. The reason for refraction is the interaction of waves and the sea floor. Most of the times waves will not approach the coastline with their crests parallel to the shore. If a wave travels towards a coast at an angle, one end of the crest arrives at the shallow water zone first. As mentioned before shallow water causes a decrease of wave velocity. The end of the crest, that reached the mentioned zone first is decelerated and now slower than the rest. As the remaining parts of the wave consecutively enter shallow water, they also experience a velocity reduction. In total this effect leads to the waves changing their direction. Eventually the decrease in water depth and hence

A special CNC drilling and welding unit created holes and fixed stud poles according to digitally defined distance and angle information. Sheet material was automatically allocated, prepared, cut and marked by a digitally controlled laser. At Seele’s factory in Germany, the cutting laser was combined with a digitally controlled shelving system that automatically selects, prepares and positions the material on the laser bed to increase workflow efficiency. Another machine facilitated the CNC bending and folding of sheet metal materials.
