The school year should last from 1st September to 22 June

else related with school. Still there are also some advantages, when school last so long. Firstly you have one break more, although it does not last very long. However it may make the school year easier, because maybe then we do not have almost 11 control work on week. Secondly, you do not have to study some things so quickly. Then you have time to deal with some substancnes much more deeply. Overall, there are a some points both, for and against of having school longer than it is right now. However I think that the cons outweigh the pros. Because we all need some time to rest and summer holiday is just the right time for that. Anna-Mari

Its better to have any religion then to be atheist

These people believe in their own physical and moral forces only, but now and here i will try to persuade the reader that having a God or some deity is better than to be godless. First reason, why it is better to be a religous person than atheist, is your spiritual and mental safety because if you belive in God , you will always have someone to rely on even in the worst situations, and you will never give up as you would probably do, if you stayed against the misery alone, on your own. Secondly, i would like to point out that with having a God to believe in your everyday life becomes easier because you are not afraid of being killed or whatever due to your belief in fate. Also you think that He/She rules your life, and everything that happens , happens for better so virtually you do not need to be worried about anything because you know that it just has to be so.

What can we do for You. Well, I´ve been thinking about saving our city. Okay, what do You exactly mean with this ? Well, our city has a lack of fresh air in some places, and i think we should do something. I agree with You, Jana. So, what´s your idea? I think, we should make car-free zones in places with heavy traffic for example citycenter. You have a great idea, Jana. Thats actually worth discussing with mayor. I think, that would be good idea, if we start a petition and collect signatures against travelling with car in citycenter. But what about service vechicles and public trasnport ? These will be still allowed. This will be the fastest way to travel in citycenter. I also tought so. Perhaps You have some more good ideas ? Let me think... Yes, I do. Speak ,Jana, I´ll listen and write them also down. I think, city should build a big parking house or parking lots near to citycenter, where people let their cars and move along on foot or with public transport. Maybe also there

Internet chatrooms do not serve a useful purpose, essay

In a chatroomyou can send pictures to your friends or doucments or make a video call. You can also play games and make a group conversation there. But actually it is not full of joy. In chatrooms there are sometimes older men who are trying to contact young girls. I saw a documentary about chatrooms lately and there were men who set up a date with under- aged girl, they recorded it and it was sent to police, because having more-than- friends-relationship with under- aged girl is against the law. Parents and schools should be teaching more about Internet safety nowadays to help kids understand about chatroom dangers. In my opinion second important danger is cheating money from innocent people behind their back. Internet chatrooms gain money by adding any kind of advertisements to their application. Many of those advertisements have text for example ,,You won 1 million'' or ,,Write here your phone number and get new Mobile Phone''

Essay about Food Inc

Most of the food in America is controlled and manufactured by few main companies. The major food companies make huge profits of which are based on supplying cheap but contaminated food, the heavy use of petroleum-based chemicals (largely pesticides and fertilizers), and the promotion of unhealthy food consumption habits by the American public. I think that it’s absolutely wrong how the food indrustries and farms work. Nowadays, it’s all about the money. No compassion. My solution is to fight against the system. If many countries would cooperate, than there would be a chance that we could end this tragedy.

Secondly, all people from all ages get influenced by the television if they watch a lot of horror and action movies. It is proved, that if you constantly watch violent movies, your personality starts to change and you may become violent yourself. To sum up, television may promote violence and you always have to be sure not to watch too many thrillers or action movies. That way your attitude against everything else will not change. Batman

He spent his life pursuing mental and physical perfection. However, he realized that pure strength and intelligence is not enough to fight the forces in Gotham. Figuring criminals are superstitious and cowardly, he decided that he would need a disguise that would strike fear into their hearts. At that moment, a bat flew in his window, inspiring him. This is how he became Batman, the Dark Knight, the hero of Gotham and the city's last hope against evil. But Batman did not only have to fight petty crime in Gotham City soon many super villains raised their ugly heads. The first one Batman had to go against was the Joker, who became the archenemy of Wayne. Joker has been presented as both a violent sociopath, who kills people for fun and as a somewhat goofy trickster and a thief. The tale of Joker's origin varies, but the most common version is that he fell into chemical waste, which bleached his skin and turned his hair green.

The two policemen suffered slight injuries. Uzi Mahatabi, 32, a taxi driver who witnessed the incident said: "When I saw the bulldozer throw the squad car up and down in the air with an officer inside, I realised it was a terror attack." Mahatabi said he got out of his cab, and fired two or three bullets, hitting the attacker in the stomach after police had already shot the man. The incident appears similar to at least two other attacks in Jerusalem last year in which bulldozers were used against cars and buses. The police car was badly damaged when the bulldozer reportedly pushed it down a busy main road in the city and then flipped it over at least once. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Palestiinlasest buldooserijuht rammis Jeruusalemmis politseiautot, vigastades kahte politseinikku ja seejärel sõitis otsa bussile, enne kui teda tulistati, ütlesid ametnikud täna.

Uniforms are quite often uncomfortable to wear, which makes them even worse. To sum up, I would say that stundents should not wear uniforms. Although, you can see that there are more good sides of wearing uniforms than bad ones, there is one thing you may not see. It is the fact, that uniforms benefit only the teachers. Teachers would have students dressed propely, everyone would be equal etc. But the students would we forced to wear uniforms against their will. Fast food saves our time and money? There are several arguments for and against fast food. Some people find fast food the easiest way to have a full stomach, but others find that it contains too many harmful substances. I would like to discuss both the pros and the cons. Pros and Cons of the European Union

Thirdly, thanks to the European Union food products became safer and phone calls to European countries cheaper. Furthermore, if somebody has own company, it is easy for him to offer his products and services in other Union countries. Finally, all of the countries work together to protect the environment and to fight against the global problems, such as terrorism. On the other hand, the joining into the European Union brings some cons for country. Firstly, despite the poor state of the country, it has to help other Member State, if it has some kind of problem. Secondly, prices on food for example can grow up, because of despite the European Union has a single market. The authorities thus prevented him from making any effective use of the remedies theoretically available to him. What is more serious is that the authorities gave every appearance of having wanted to ensure that Mr. Bozano did not find out about the action they were preparing to take against him, so that they could the more effectively face him with a fait accompli thereafter. ... To this must be added the suddenness with which the applicant was apprehended by the police on the evening of 26 October and, more striking still, the way in which the Minister of the Interior's decision was carried out. Philip Larkin poetry analysis

The Beatles became popular and Lawrence's novel Lady Chatterley has been the subject of a high profile court case, after it was banned as being obscene. Larkin was happy about the new era and new possibilities, but he says that it's already too late for him. Larkin was not only interested in politics, but he was also part of the Men's Movement. Other members were also for example Ezra Pound and Thomas Stearns Eliot. Larkin wrote about violence towards women and about violence against images of women. In his poem ´´Sunny Prestatyn´´ the protagonist is a girl. I think that she may represent femininity or the whole female race. In the second stanza Larkin writes´´ She was slapped up one day in March.´´ And he is describing in a quite brutal way how her teeth are hit out and how a man with tuberculosis is raping her. And in the third stanza he says that ´´she was too good for this life

But now last times I have become much more lazier than I were. Maybe it is because of that I have not everything all right at home and it disturbes my studying at school. It is difficult to concentrate to my lessons at school and even at home. It takes me that I have no mood to learn and I start to keep aside from studies. But it is against the rules at school, because it is school duty to go orderly in lessons, listen to the lessons subjects and to do my homework. Along with school rules goes offcourse listening to the teachers talk too. Students are obliged to listen to the teachers talk correctly with attention in lesson. To say something against teacher's words is verboten at school. Same way is verboten to say them badly or abuse them, because to this may follow a punishment. Under the punishment belongs at school a comment,

Links between Estonia and English speaking countries

20th century Regular documented contacts between Estonia and English speaking countries begun after Estonia gained its independence in 1918. At that time, England with her colonies was the biggest and the strongest sea power in the world. During the First World War England dominated the high seas and the Baltic Sea. So it is quite obvious that after the Bolsheviks gained power in St. Petersburg, The English navy came to aid the newly formed government of Estonia in their war efforts against the Bolshevik invaders. The Royal Navy detachment blocked Bolshevik attempts to land troops behind Estonian lines. British sailors were among those who gave their lives defending Estonia's freedom during the conflict. Some of these men are laid to rest in Tallinn. The aid came not only in the military presence of the war ships, but also in technical, financial and moral support. Should a man be a househusband

as persons in their own rights, not just as "a John's wife". And a child needs a parent while growning up, not just some kind of a stranger. So, if a woman wants to earn money, the best way is that a man takes over women's responsibilities and becomes a househusband. And maybe they are as much up to it as women. It is not the gender that matters, I mean personality. To sum up, there are many arguments both for and against a man as a househusband and actually it does not matter who is staying at home and taking care of everything in there. There are so many different people and characters may be very various. I do nott see a problem when a woman has a good career and a man is a good househusband. The choice is up to the family and as long as it is right, there is nothing to complain about. Elizabeth Grünbaum

Fame is a Fickle Food

Analysis Liisi Pajula In her poem "Fame is a Fickle Food", Emily Dickinson quite clearly compares fame to something very changing and uncertain. She compares it to food, which at first seems tempting, but is actually venomous and deadly. From the very beginning of the poem, we get the idea that Dickinson has her mind set against fame and those, who run after it. With using words such as 'fickle' and 'shifting' she very successfully demonstrates that fame is not permanent and should thus be handled with care. Dickinson also says that true fame is something one can achieve only once ("Whose table once a Guest, but not / The second time is set"). She goes on to explain that after fame has faded, its not too pleasant insides become visible and even the crows inspect the leftovers, but decide to turn to the farmer's corn

In addition, as the studio is located in an easily accessible area and opened around-the-clock, it is irreplaceable for lots of students. Moreover, young talents can exhibit their creations in the studio. In conclusion, it can be clearly seen that the art studio is important for many young artists, therefore we do not hesitate to even organise a protest march against closing the studio. I hope that the art department agrees and will not close donw the art studio. Yours sincerely, Mari Mets ESSAY Choices after secondary school Many young people decide to go univeristy after secondary school, while others think that going to work is a better decision. London

Plague of 16651666, which killed up to 100,000 people or a fifth of the population. The Great Fire of London broke out in City and quickly swept through the wooden buildings. London was the world's largest city from about 1831 to 1925. Immediately after the World War II , the 1948 Summer Olympics were held at the original Wembley Stadium, at a time when the city had barely recovered from the war. The Thames Barrier was completed in the 1980s to protect London against tidal surges from the North Sea. In 2000, Londonwide government was restored, with the creation of the Greater London Authority. Geography: Greater London covers an area of 607 square miles. Its primary geographical feature is the Thames, a navigable river which crosses the city from the southwest to the east. The Thames Valley is a floodplain surrounded by gently rolling hills including Parliament Hill, Addington Hills, and Primrose Hill.

Joseph Mallord William Turner and "The Fighting 'Temeraire'

,, The Fighting `Temeraire' tugged to her Last Berth to be broken up". Joseph Mallord William Turner was born on 23 April 1775. He was an English Romantic landscape painter, watercolourist and printmaker. He has laid the foundation for Impressionism. Turner is also one of the greatest masters of British watercolour landscape painting. He is commonly known as "the painter of light". One of his main themes was the helplessness and smallness of man against the destructive forces of nature. One of my favourite paintings is "The Fighting `Temeraire' tugged to her Last Berth to be broken up. Turner was in his sixties when he painted this painting. It shows his mastery of painting techniques to suggest sea and sky. It depicts one of the last second-rate ships of the line which played a distinguished role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Turner's main concern was to evoke a sense of loss, rather than to give an exact recording of the event.

Tess of the d'urbervilles

obstacles but is responsible for creating none. From the beginning it can be understood that she doesn't have the right to express her opinion and if she had, would she dare to. It all begins with Tess following her father's wishes to make contact to the D'Urbervilles, because she has to manage to deal with an intrusive young man and because of her lack of experience she ends up being pregnant and alone. This kind of situation was not approved at her time and the villagers turned against her. When the baby was born and after a while died, Tess felt no emotions or feelings. There was nothing to keep her home and so she left in hope to find a place where no one knew of her sorrowful life. When she meets Angel Clare she tries to ignore her love for him, because she feels that this won't end well, but she fails. In the evening of their marriage ceremony Tess tells Angel of her past and after that she is forced to leave and go even further away from her home town.

If I were an English teacher

If I were an English teacher Being a teacher is not an easy task. Teachers have many problems with students who does not know how to behave. Some of them even make fun of teachers and I find this kind of behaviour disturbing, because it is not fair that urchins have more fun in school than decent students have. Yes, teachers can throw the rebels out or punish them in other ways, but that usually agitates the students against the teacher. Firstly, I would like to say that if I were an English teacher I would variegate the classes with subjects, which students would actually find interesting. I would find it exciting to let them think and explore more about politics, social issues, world news and of course other subjects that they really find interesting to speak about. I believe these subjects need also considering because the majority of youth actually has no idea or interest who represents

Tallinn

Kadriorg Palace The Kadriorg Art Museum Peter I began building the palace in 1718, and it was called Ekaterinenthal, or Catherinenthal, in honour of Catherine I. It is said that the tsar himself laid the first foundation stones for the palace. Tallinn Song Festival Grounds this sprawling event venue in Kadriorg has a special place in the hearts of Estonians. It was here in 1988 that the Singing Revolution, a massive, musical demonstration against Soviet rule, set Estonia on its road towards independence. Tallin is a beautiful city and I liks to live here. Tallinn has it's own good and bad sides: some pars of the city is clean and beautiful, some (but few) are dirty and filled with terrible people. It is not nice to be there.

Estonian holidays

in the calendar. The short summer seasons with long days and brief nights hold special significance for the people of Estonia. St John's Day is celebrated in the night between 23rd and 24th of June, a few days after the summer solstice, when night seems to be non-existent. For Estonians, Jaanipäev celebrations were merged with the celebration of Victory Day during the War of Independence when Estonian forces defeated the German troops on 23 June 1919. After this battle against Estonia's traditional oppressors, the lighting of the traditional bonfires became linked with the ideals of independence and freedom. The Advantages and Disadvantages of City and Country Living

I think that both City Living and Country Living has disadvantages and advantages, first of all it depends only of the person. Every person has their own taste and idea of the world that they live in. For example, I like living in city, but I have also a friend, who thinks that living in country is good for her health and mind, which is why she approves it. However, some people, who approves living in country still lives in city. Cure for going against their wishes is that some people decorates their apartment or house with paintings of peaceful and bright-colored landscapes as it brings not only a sense of artistic consciousness to their home, but also makes them feel cosy and allows them to at least temporarily forget about daily routine and pollution, crime (especially in bigger, crowded cities) and noise they have to endure when they go outside. I'd say that it is disadvantages for living in a city.

Car v. walking

fast you are allowed to. Also, car is much more comfortable, especially nowadays. But the biggest plus in travelling by car in my opinion, is that, when you are travelling by car you can travel long distances, but when you are walking, you can travel about 10 km and then human organism needs a rest. But there is no healthier travelling way than walking; when people are walking every day their health becomes strong and when human body is trained and strong, then it is strong against illness. On the other hand, travelling by car isn't so good and healthy as it seems. Some people don't even know that cars are one of the biggest nature and air polluters, cars are the major producers of carbon dioxide. Also cars are very expensive compared with walking, you need to buy a car and then regularly fill the car with petrol, what costs a lot of money and then there is the insurance and so on and on. But when you are walking you don't need to waste money and you can

Technology in our daily lives

computers. This creates an everincreasing risk of accidental or deliberate leaking of private details. Every day more information is collected by banks, credit card companies, consumer organisations and so on and who is there to keep an eye on what happens to it? It is certainly convenient to store information in this way, but I feel it could lead to longterm problems. There may be other hidden dangers theoretically, could a 'thinking' computer start to use the data against us? To sum up, I believe that we must be very careful with technology. While it has clear advantages, there is also the danger that it could turn on us and we could find ourselves the victims of our own success.
