Schools should provide computers for students to use for...

As a result, children can feel more exhausted after school than they do now. It can also have a negative effect on students' moods. In addition, providing computers for students to use for all the subjects in Estonia is unreasonable. I am trying to say that many schools have more urgent problems than low level of computerizing. Only some prestigeous schools can afford themselves to have a PC for every student. On the other hand, living in the 21st century means using computers a lot, so why not let children get used to this? Moreover, a computer can be very convenient and useful for students. In conclusion, I think that in less than a decade students are going to to use computers for all their subjects at school but now we should try to avoid total computarization......

Essee: Can money buy happiness?

I generally believe it to be true; the most important things in life, such as friends, family and love can't be bought. However, in today's world we must agree that life without money can be really stressful and hard. If one doesn't have any money, one can't afford to pay rent, buy food, clothes, get medical help if needed or basically do anything. For example, people in developing countries are very poor, they don't have access to pure drinking water or food and they are unable to get proper medical help and that's why in Africa there are always all kinds of diseases spreading. Money is something that can cause a lot of trouble, it makes people greedy and it can even ruin relationships, but it is also something we cannot live without...

School uniform pros and cons

But would school uniforms make our lives better? There is no doubt that school uniforms have many advantages. Firstly, they encourage discipline. It would also free children from the pressure to buy trendy clothes. All the childrens would be dressed in the same way and as a result it would cut out a school bullying, which is often used, because some children do not have money to buy expensive and fashionable clothes and they are bullied because of that. Children would not have to think about what to wear in the morning and parents save time taking children shopping and spending extra money. Children will be that much less focused on appearance and more on learning. However school uniforms are good there is some disadvantages too. For example children can not show their character, which is often based on c...

Psühholoogia bioloogiline-, kognitiivne- ja sotsiaalne vaade

Fessler hypnotized that the nausea response helps to compensate the suppressed immune system. He gathered almost 500 healthy pregnant women and asked them to consider potentially stomach-turning scenarios. He found that women in the early trimester scored much higher across the board in disgust sensitivity than their counterparts in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. According to Fessler, many of the diseases that are most dangerous are food-borne, but our ancestors could not afford to be picky about what they ate. The natural selection may have helped to decrease the chance of disease by increasing the urge to be picky. The sensitivity seems to diminish as the risk of disease decreases. This is consistent with the view of disgust as a form of protection. Discuss ethical considerations in research into genetic influences on behavior. Genetic research aims to identify particular genes involved in hereditary diseases....

The Tudor Dynasty

As the country became wealthier, towns grew, beautiful houses were built and schools and colleges were set up. Arts and crafts flourished too. England was home to great painters, writers and musicians. School in tudors time Not many children went to school in Tudor times. Those that did go were mainly the sons of wealthy or working families who could afford to pay the attendance fee. Boys began school at the age of 4 and moved to grammar school when they were 7. Girls were either kept at home by their parents to help with housework or sent out to work to bring money in for the family. Boys were educated for work and the girls for marriage and running a household. The wealthiest families hired a tutor to teach the boys at home. Many Tudor towns and villages had a parish school where the local vicar taught boys to read and write....

Argumentative presentation: Estonia does need a nuclear power station

They only supplement the existing systems. The biggest problem is the the increasing cost, if the most optimal places are taken. There are problems with using nuclear energy. For example, nuclear proliferation, plant decommissioning and waste are among the top problems. However, it is greenest sustainable constant form of energy that Estonia can potentially afford . The fact, that Estonia has plutonium fuel resources available is just an additional bonus. To sum up. First of all i talked about how Estonia is facing energy crisis right now. Second of all I elaborated that there are no means to buy energy from neighbouring countries. For closure, I mentioned that although nuclear energy has problems, there might not be a better solution that is affordable. Thank you for listening and if you have questions, please ask them now....

The Rise and Demise of the New Public Management, 28 10

Naturally, NPM is more than a fashion; as already stated, it is a genuine ideology, or based on one, the neo-liberal creed, in the sense that ideologies are reduced perspectives of reality, reified by their believers because they cannot handle the complexity of the latter. But the power of fashion in itself should never be underestimated, and as has been rightly said, Public sector reform is in fashion and no self-respecting government can afford to ignore it. How a fashion is established is one of the most intriguing questions of public policy. Part of the answer lies in policy diffusion brought about by the activities of international officials (whose zeal for administrative reform mysteriously stops short at the door of their own organizations), by meetings of public administrators, academics, and the so-called policy entrepreneurs. (Wright 1997: 8) Indeed,...

Arts related entertainment should be free

Also art educates people and enlarges their knowledge. But on the other hand, keeping and taking care of exhibitons have so many expenses like hiring skilled staff or paying electricity bills that it is impossible not to pay for visiting art galleries. In addition to that being a artist is a job like every another one too and needs to be paid. Finally, I think it it better to decrease the prices of art galleries to the lowest price so that anybody in society could afford it and enjoy arts. In this way more people would visit art exhibitions and educate themselves. In conclusion, in my opinion arts related entertainment should not be free, because all artists need to have an income and have to be paid. But visiting exhibitons should be as cheap as possible so more people would visit it and actually pay attention to art more than they do now....

CHARLES DICKENS

A CHRISTMAS CAROL Dickens began to write A Christmas Carol in September 1843, and completed the book in six weeks with the final pages written in the beginning of December in time to be published for Christmas with illustrations by John Leech. ... He set the price at 5 shillings so that everyone could afford it. This combination resulted in disappointingly low profits despite high sales. In the first few days of its release the book sold six thousand copies and its popularity continued to grow. The first and best of his Christmas Books, A Christmas Carol has become a Christmas tradition and easily Dickens' best known book. PLOT SUMMARY Ebenezer Scrooge is a miserly old man who believes that Christmas is just an excuse for people to miss work and for idle people to expect handouts...

PIRACY

PIRACY Life of the 21th century is getting more and more expensive. People can't afford themselves that kind of entertainment that they did at the end of 20th century. Because of that there are a lot of piracy in that world and I think that it is one of the biggest crime of nowadays technological ear. Piracy is a form of theft. Morden technology has made wide-scale trading of music possible in the form of MP3 files available over the internet for free, all at the click of a mouse. We have to consider that not everything on the internet is legal...

Kõne Briti majandusest inglise keeles

In 1998 compensation claims cost 6.8 billion pounds in Britain. That's a massive amount of money to pay. Let's put that number in context. If you are a sports fan, you could afford a 248-season contract for one of the most paid basketball players in the world, Lebron James. At that time it was eight times the budget, which was approved by the Estonian Government. So it was a heavy sum to pay. In Britain I think they can only blame themselves. You see, unlike many other nations, the UK has no single core constitutional document. In this sense, it is said not to have a written constitution, but much of the British constitution is embodied in written documents,...

You saved my life. Acknowledgments My deepest gratitude to my editor, Hilary Sares, who really dug into this story and made me work for it. Basically, she kicked my ass.
