The thermal bridge becomes critical due to the uninsulated stone foundation. The additional insulation of the foundation wall significantly reduces heat loss and lowers the risk of thermal bridges. However, it appeared that incorrect installation of windows could cause thermal bridges in places where there were none before or where their initial effect was small: the risk of thermal bridges appeared when the windows were changed for others with a narrower frame. In comparison with results from brick or concrete apartment building, thermal bridges are
